I have deactivated it on the old machine but It won't allow me to use my serial number on the new machine... can you help?

How can I activate my paid license (Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard) on my new laptop?

A few years ago, I bought Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and loaded it on my Sony Vaio laptop (Windows 7).
This laptop is now dying and I loaded Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on my new Lenovo laptop (Windows 8) - BUT IT WOULDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE MY LICENSE KEY.
Because I use this for work, I opted for the 30-day trial, but this is unacceptable.
How can I get the new installation to acknowledge my Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard license key?!

Transferring Acrobat X Standard to new PC

I have a new PC and want to install / transfer my acrobat X standard on new machine. It will not accept my product/serial code. I purchased it in 2011

Hi ,
To install/transfer Acrobat to your new PC ,you need to deactivate it from your old machine .For that Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Deactivate .
Once Deactivated ,you can now install on your new machine and serialize by typing in the serial number .
If you have performed all this and still not able to do so ,then please let us know what are the challenges are you facing while activating your Adobe product ?

I'm in the processing of transferring all my files and programs from a PC desktop to Mac Pro. Can anyone tell me the steps I need to follow to move my Acrobat 9 Standard over to the Apple machine? Thanks!

You can transfer the files to Mac just like normal files. But application cant be transferred.
You need to purchase latest version. If you purchase subscription you can get that for both platforms.

I need to download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard because my new computer doesn not have cd media. When I put my serial number in, it says it is not valid.

My new computer does not have CD media so I need to download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard online. I am able to download but when it prompts me for the serial number, it says my number is not valid. I have double and triple checked, the serial number has been entered EXACTLY as it says on the box. What could be causing this?

Adobe acrobat 9 standard you will need to use a computer which does contain an optical drive and copy the contents to a USB drive. You can then install from the USB drive on your computer which does not include an optical drive. Unfortunately if you did not choose download at the time of purchase then I am not aware of any download locations for the installation files.

My machine had crashed and so I can't deactivate Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. How can I re-install on the machine? There are no ways to contact customer support to reset the count as suggested in one of the forum post. What are my options?

Please elaborate your issue. Why would you want to deactivate your acrobat xi?
Moreover as you mentioned that your machine crashed.. so do you mean that you have lost access to your operating system and all its files?

No Paul the activation status will not affect your serial number being accepted. Please see Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html for information on how you can verify the serial number you are entering is the one you have registered with Adobe.

Firstly, you need to make sure that Acrobat pro 9 is compatible with the OS on your new laptop.
In order to use the same license, you might need to deactivate Acrobat from old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number.

The simplest way is to copy the CD to a memory stick (will need to use another computer -- like at your local library). You can also download the trial version and then provide you serial number during the install.

Did you uninstall it on the old laptop, or at least deactivate it? It sounds like you do not have any licenses left. It may be that Adobe can help you if you registered. I am not too familiar with the process, but that is what it sounds like.

Are you connected to the internet when trying to activate the software.
What exactly interrupts your activation process? Do you get any specific message?
