Transferring already bought software to another computer

I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard about 2 or 3 years ago; it came on a CD. I downloaded it to my home PC with no hiccups. Then for last Christmas I got a laptop. BUT this laptop does not have a CD drive where I can install the software onto it. So my question is if there's a way to download the software onto my laptop without having to re-buy it.

If you know that you do not intend to use the software on the old machine (especially if you are getting rid of it), the minimum you need to do is deactivate it. That will disable use of it and free up an extra activation for you should you ever wish to have two machines available to use it on. To deactivate you just open an application and choose Help -> Deactivate. If this happens to be a Creative Suite, doing that to just one of the applications will deactivate the entire Suite.
You can also uninstall the software if you like, but be sure to deactivate it first.

Adobe-ID already been used on another computer

With this I am able to borrow e-books from our library.
My computer failed and got a new hard drive and I upgraded to Windows7.
Now my password is no longer accepted by Adobe digital editions ("has already been used on another computer").

Odd, I have mine registered on a couple of computers and a couple of devices. I thought it started complaining after 6 total.
It might be worth completely unregistering (ctrl-shift-D) and restarting ADE to see if that helps; I don't think it will but it might.
You might need to ask Adobe to reset the activations on that account.

In short, yes.
Which version of Dreamweaver?
You normally need to Deactivate on the old computer first via Help > Deactivate (to free up the activation license in Adobe's eyes) then re-actiavte on the new computer.
If the old computer's dead then there's a small chance that you may need to call Adobe to re-activate on the new computer (if they think you've used up your quota) but see how you go with activating DW by yourself without calling them first.
You're allowed up to two activations on one license at any one time anyway so you're probably OK.

How do I redownload the software on another computer

I have my software on my old computer and Adobe creative cloud says you can transfer it to another computer, and I want to do that, but how do I? It is going from a Mac book air to a Mac book pro.

Bought songs on another computer

I bought many songs from another computer while in vacation in the US (I bought my ipod there).
Back in france, I cannot make my songs appear in my library, even if my apple account shows all the songs I bought. What should I do and am I abble to buy new songs?

You should have burned a CD of the songs you purchased on the other computer. If it's a friend or family member, I'd ask them if the songs are still on their computer and if they'll burn you a CD with copies. That's always been the easiest way.
But I believe with later-generation iPods you can also download purchased music from your iPod to your computer, but I believe that requires that the computer you purchased the music on be registered as one of the five computers you're allowed to share music on.

What I normally do is copy my version of Captivate 3 onto a
memory stick (path = C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Captivate 3).
This creates your very own, portable, trial version that can be
used on any other pc.
Plug the memory stick into the other PC and, instead of
installing, simply open the AdobeCaptivate.exe on your memory
stick. When requested for the registration code, simply select
Trial Version and you will have 30 days available on that PC. As
Rick said however, please edit on your own machine and make sure
that project expirations have been reset.
If this is a long term project, then you would need to
register your Captivate 3 licence on that machine, you are allowed
to have 2 computers live with the same licence. Just PLEASE
remember to uninstall Captivate 3 when you are done with the
project so that your 2nd licence is released again.
Re the remoteware issue, I am sorry, but my knowledge in that
area is zero, so if anybody else out there can help, then please
climb in. Rick, I believe you have used some form of remoteware
with your training courses, maybe......

Transfering CS5 student version to another computer

Hi, I've been reading that you can not transfer the liscence of a CS5 student version to another person, but what does this exactly mean? If I install the software on my desktop computer and my computer dies a week later am I out all the money I put into it? My understanding is that this is to prevent students from sharing the software, but does this mean that there is NO way to get it to another computer that I own or will own if I have trouble with the one that it is on??? help greatly appreciated and wanted

Student and Teacher Editions have all the features and functionality of the commercial versions. The software may be used only on a privately owned computer, and the user may not transfer or resell ownership of the Adobe Student and Teacher Edition license.
you have to activate the license and can only install it on one computer which means exactly that not what you wrote.
You are reading it as if you want to find a way around this so you can share it with your friends.
Do not try it.
Install it on your computer and use it in good health. Read what is ays above do not listen to what your friends tell you, if you are doing so.
What it says above is very different from what you say you understand, read it again.

i cant play the songs that i bought on my other computer.there are no exclamation marks.they just wont play.the songs that i bought on my new comp will play.the songs that i bought on my other comp. will play on my ipod just not on my computer.

Your Users -> yourname -> Library and Users -> yourname -> Documents folder frequently hold the keys to preferences and license keys for applications. Sometimes they get installed in Hard drive -> Library or Hard drive -> System.
So what you probably need to do is wholesale transfer just the applications that aren't already on the Intel Mac, since the ones on the Intel Mac are probably newer and work better with the Intel Mac.
The Users -> yourname -> Pictures have your iPhoto stored pictures, and Users -> yourname -> Music your iTunes stored music, and your Users -> yourname -> Movies the iMovie edited movies. Those may be transferred as well.
The big problem becomes those applications that require specific drivers only on the PowerPC Mac, or were written well before Intel Macs were even a dream. Those you'll probably need your PowerPC Mac until you can find an equivalent title. Some you may need to simply contact the company for an update. Others, ask here, and people can help.

You'll need to go back to that computer and look in the user's Music -> iTunes folder and see if the tracks are still there. If they are, you can copy them to removable media and take them home. If your school erases the systems, and has done so since you downloaded the tracks, then your tracks are gone and you'll have to buy them again.
I advise never buying from any download music store using any sort of public computer. All fully legal download music stores carrying major-label content have copy protection that by some means registers tracks to the computer used for download, so using a public/lab computer just make things far too complicated.
