Transferring App Purchased on Ipod to iTunes

I have an app - Bunny Munro - which I purchased directly onto my ipod touch. It runs fine on my ipod but won't transfer to itunes on my pc. Whenever I click on 'Transfer Purchase' it says that its doing so but it never completes. My pc is authorized with this ipod/account.

not sure why that's happening. have other apps transferred ok?
i'd just redownload it in itunes. once purchased apps can be redownloaded as many times as you want, as long as you use the same itunes account. go through the normal process, it will look as though you will be charged, but when it is downloading you'll get a pop up stating you've already bought it and won't be charged again.

  • Transferring App purchases to a different iTunes account

    Hi Everyone
I've got a bit of a complex problem I'm hoping you can help me with. I will try to keep it simple and to the point.
A friend of mine bought his son an iPod Touch for Christmas. The son then used my friend's (his Dad's) iTunes account to purchase and download Apps. The son has downloaded loads of Apps over the last year.
Unfortunately 2 months ago my friend (the Dad) passed away. His bank cards were cancelled and therefore his iTunes account would no longer work. His wife (my other friend) setup her own iTunes account for the son to use. Son has been using this account to purchase Apps.
What I'm wondering is there anyway to close down the account of my friend who passed away and transfer the purchases to his Wife's account? The son has recently got a new laptop and I authorised both iTunes accounts for that machine, but when an App is due an update I think he has to log into whatever iTunes account it was purchased under (I think, I've not seen it but the son has told me this is what is happening - when I've looked at the iPod it shows the Wife's iTunes account as logged in in the App Store but the password the updates prompt him for is his Dad's). It's obviously distressing to keep having to log into the Dad's account, is there anyway I can resolve this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hayley

It is not possible to close/delete an account.  Even if it was, any content purchased with that account would be lost.
What you can do is change the email address associated with the account to a different account.

  • Trouble transferring apps from my ipad to itunes.

I'm having trouble transferring apps from my ipad to itunes. My computer is authorized, but I get - Some of the purchased items on the (user name) ipad could not be transfered to your itunes library because you are not authorized for them on this computer.

If those apps were purchased with a different Apple ID and iTunes account that would be a reason why you get that message.

  • Purchasing an iPod via iTunes store with gift cards

I have lots of credit on my iTunes account and I want to use that to purchase an iPod. If I go to purchase an iPod it doesn't give me that option it wants to charge my credit card.
I'm I just SOL? I've contacted Apple support online a couple of times, but never heard anything back. Do you think going to an Apple store might help?
    Thanks

Unfortunately, I do not believe that you can purchase an iPod with iTunes cards. Apple advertises the iPod on iTunes, but if you click on that, it takes you onto Internet Explorer (or another browser), to the Apple Online Store.

  • What is the name of the $20 program that has a red itunes icon that transfers music from your ipod to itunes?

What is the name of the $20 program that has a red itunes icon that transfers music from your ipod to itunes?

I second the whole iTunes folder approach.
If for some reason you have split the media folder from the library files then the media folder needs to restored to the same path it used to have while the library files can be copied into the music folder of your new profile.
If in dobut, backup up the entire Documents and Settings folder before wiping the infected drive, but be selective about what you restore as many viruses drop active components capable of reinfecting the compuer in the temp folders and internet caches. It is much easier to backup more than you need than to discover after the fact that you no longer have access to some vital project you'd been storing in a folder on the desktop.

  • Transferring purchases from ipod to itunes 8.0 hangs

I am trying to transfer purchases from my ipod to a new PC. I am using itunes 8.0 and the transfer starts but then hangs. The initial transfer is a movie from the ipod (perhaps relevant, perhaps not) .. any ideas ? is there a known issue with transfering purchased movies from the ipod to itunes ?

I throw my hands in the air, 446 U2 songs gone....gone where...who knows...why?...because i clicked one button in itunes to transfer purchases from ipod to pc...!!! Sorry I'm really really REALLY annoyed...I bought this back in February 2005...and now it's gone...I don't appear to be able to download it again, I can't even find it on the website....but there were other albums also gone...!
Does anyone have any hints suggestions before I smash the Ipod to bits :O
I searched HD for songs but no joy..heart breaking..to say the least..(regardless yeah I should have had a backup..) but the transfer should have transferred them somewhere...I guess.

  • ITunes app purchase - to iPod app delay...

Has anyone noticed that after purchasing a song from iTunes on a iPhone, there is a delay before the song shows in the iPod app? This delay has resulted in me purchasing the song over, and eventually seeing the song twice in my purchased folder. Is this just my iPhone?

ok, can someone tell me where i can view active iTunes downloads for the iPhone? I figured it was:
iTunes app - "more" tab - "downloads" tab.
There is nothing in there, and the songs that i purchased in the last 30 minutes still dont show in the iPod app...

  • Transfering Apps purchased in iTunes form a PC to a MAC

I currently have my iTunes library on my work issued DELL laptop. I have also have a first generation 16GB iPhone. I have dozens of Applications on the iPhone that I purchased in iTunes. I need to return my PC, and I wanted to know if there was a way to transfer my purchased Apps from my PC to iTunes on my iBook G4. Please help?!

One other quick side note--the iTunes App store purchases on my iPhone have been synced to my PC laptop. Will I still be able to use the procedure you outlined even though the computers are two different operating systems (ie synched to PC, but need to migrate to MAC)?

  • How do I stop my iPod from transfering my reminders and notes to my iPad. Also, how do I stop my iPad from transfering apps to my iPod?

I am using an iPad provided by my school and I do not want my reminders and notes from my personal iPod Touch to transfer to the iPad. Two apps that I recently purchased from my iPad also transfered to my iPod and I did not want them there.

This is pretty simple and straight forward.
    iPad:
Settings>iCloud toggle off Reminders and Notes
    iPod:
Settings>iTunes&App Store>Automatic Downloads toggle off Music, Apps and Books

  • Trying to transfer purchases from iPod crashes iTunes

My laptop was recently stolen along with my backup, so my iPod (Classic, 120 GB) is the only copy of my digital music. I'm trying to transfer my iTunes purchases from the iPod to the new computer's hard drive, but it crashes iTunes every time I try to do this.
I transferred most of my music (around 8900/9000 tracks) using a 3rd party program, since most of my music was burned from CDs, and that managed to get most of my iTunes store purchases as well. However, the last 100 songs include several iTunes tracks. They won't transfer with either iTunes, Music Rescue, or MediaWidget.
Anyone have any suggestions for a way of transferring my remaining files (especially the iTunes ones)?

Since I am not having that problem, I'm not sure it will work.
But one thing you can do is open itunes with a completely blank library. See if those purchases will transfer into a blank library. Article on making a new library:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
Make sure you only press the transfer purchases or things will go VERY wrong. But I think you know that.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
DO NOT PRESS ERASE AND SYNC.
Also - was that 3rd party program free, or something you paid for? The free ones I've tried have had some problems. If you paid for it, I would ask for support on getting those 100 lost tracks.
Just curious, which 3rd-party ipod manager was it?

  • Transferring songs back from iPod onto iTunes

I recently had my computer stolen. I now have a new one and want to transfer my music back from my iPod? I have authorised the computer in iTunes so I can see the music but how to transfer it (and it also keeps telling me certain purchased items on the iPod couldn't be transferred to the iTunes library as it's not authorised)

don't worry man, i had itunes wipe out my whole library adn i transfered back from my ipod. What you first have to do, is allow yourself to view hidden files.
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > click View Hidden Files/Folders
then plug in your ipod, and close minimize itunes out of the way. Next open up "My Computer" and find which port your ipod connects through K:/ or something other than C:/ and D:/ until you find one that has all these hidden folders with random number letter combos. Right Click the first folder containing the rest of the folders and copy it you your desktop. Next bring itunes back up and
Itunes > File > Add folder to library
add the file you put on your desktop, and most of your music should come back.
    Than backup your computer

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
What happens when you try to buy in-app purchases, do you get any error messages ? If you are getting a message to contact iTunes support then you can do so via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Transfering songs/videos from iPod to iTunes...?

Until recently I have been using iTunes software on our home pc. A few weeks ago, however, I purchased a laptop and have intstalled iTunes on it. However, I havent been able to find a way to get the songs and videos on my ipod to my new iTunes program... Is that even possible??

You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, not all will copy videos, iPodCopy will but I'm not sure what others do.
