my son bought me a new iphone and I was wondering if there was a way I can transfer software programs from the blackberry curve to the iphone?

As the two operating systems of the devices are completely different, it is unlikely any of th applications will transfer.
For the contacts, sync your BB to your desktop, such as Outlook using Desktop Manager, and then sync the iPhone to your Outlook. I guess the iPhone will sync to Outlook, you'll have to get details on that probably in a iPhone forum somewhere. Good luck.

How do I stop iTunes from transferring apps from my iPad or iPhone to my PC ? I have App sync turn off and I have add files to library turned off. Yet every time
I sync iTunes transfers all my apps to my PC. I have 20-30 gig of apps on each. A lot of them are 1gig each and it takes for ever to sync , plus I don't want 100 gig of apps just sitting on my hard drive for no reason. Any app I ever want is always available in the cloud so what's the point of having them on my PC in the 1st place?I'm pretty sure that the space is used up on your computer's hardrive.
Anyway my solution to this nuisance of apps/itunes transfer was to allow itunes to download the apps from my phone...
...First of all I had tried to uncheck a few boxes in itunes a) automatically sync when device is connected (in the summary section) b) prevent devices from syncing (edit>preferences>devices) and c) Automatically sync new apps (apps section of device)
HOWEVER, when I would click sync in any section, apps tried to transfer to itunes from my iphone.
So after all my apps went on my computer (approx. 9 GB), I checked the boxes back, disconnected my device and deleted all the apps from itunes and my computer simultaneously (by clicking del/move to recycle bin).
Now when I connect my iphone it does it's backup/sync thing automatically ...but no apps try to transfer
Note: apps from your library cannot be set to sync with your device
I can now also click sync in any section and no apps transfer.
(This problem started when I downloaded an app from itunes rather than my device and I later transfered the app to my device. My apps section in itunes is completely empty now and no apps appear in windows explorer either)
the only thing I am unsure of now is; what's going to happen if I purchase an app from itunes on my pc again ...I'm guessing I'll have to repeat the process (might want to avoid that) -

Yep. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones you can sync to one iTunes library, computer, or iTunes account.

If you've download apps from the iTunes app store then you can only install them on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, you can't use them on a computer (PC or Mac)

Synching apps from PC to iTunes/IPhone or iTouch
In the past, I've had issues transferring apps from my new or replacement iPhone to iTunes. Apps would not get synched and everything was lost on both the device and in iTunes.
Soon, I plan to buy an iTouch 4G and I have an entire catalogue of apps on iTunes that I want to synch with the iTouch.
Is there any way to enusre that my apps will be synched TO device without the device deleting OR forcing me to create a brand new profile on iTunes where I wont be able to retrieve and synch my apps from iTunes TO the device?

.Same for the ipod touch.
The apps should be in itunes on your computer. If they are not then put them there.
You ipod backs up some info with every sync ( not apps/music/etc, which is hy you need to be sure the apps/music/etc is in itunes on your computer).

I thought I resolved it, but the problem came back! And this time, re-starting Muse didn't help.
I was creating a vertical line to separate the sidebar from the main area, and when I extended the line down to where the footer guide is, the page started to expand and the navigation bar at the top started growing, while the links disappeared again. Now all links from the master page are again missing from every page but the master.
When I undid it, the navbar went back to its normal depth, but the text links in it did not return.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Also, it really wasn't my intention for the navigation bar to grow vertically as the page grows. Is there a way to prevent that? -

Connect the iPhone to your computer, select it under 'Devices' on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side of iTunes on the Apps tab you should be able to select which apps to sync to the iPhone.

Open App World – Go to MY World
Clear App World Cache KB24714
App World shall Close
Then Please Perform a Battery Pull Restart like this While Device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till the device take a long Reboot.
After that Go to App World and reinstall that application.

I added a Twitter account through the Accounts page in the Settings. That way, Im shown only the Direct Messages. Unable to find my twitter timeline.
Is there an official Twitter app from BlackBerry for the PlayBooks on the AppWorld. I find that coming preloaded on Z10 smartphones but not on PlayBooks. I am not preferring to download other 3rd party apps. What are the possible risks of sideloading an app? I prefer to download the official app for Playbook from the online store.There is (on mine) a Twitter Short Cut pre installed on the home screen of the PlayBook. This however will only allow you to view mobile Twitter. There was a url trick that could change this to full Twitter but Twitter put a stop to this across several platforms apparently for security reasons. I recommend you download the Origami Browser from BlackBerry World. This will allow you to view the full version of Twitter as though on a pc. Works well for me.
