Transferring apps with with purchases on them.

I plan on getting an ipad soon and was wondering if I buy stuff on apps like ibooks, marvel, or DC on my iphone currently will the books and comics transfer over to the ipad as well or is it stuck on that one device? Also what about games? I have Final Fantasy 1 and 2 and my iphone and when I plug the ipad in into itunes will my save game files be transfered over or just the app its self and I'll have to start over? Also this last part might sound stupid but it is possible to only have certain things go from itunes to ipad and not iphone right? Like if I bought a tv show I can go into itunes and only check it so it uploads to the ipad correct?

2 App data, the original app its self will be transfered BUT All saved data will NOT transfer for example tap tap 3 the game will transfer but non of the songs, credit, acounts, weapons, and game progress will not, back to square 1
3 remember that itunes is in control, after syncing the item can be deleted but when you next sync your device you will be faced with the ultimatum on whether to transfer the item back onto itunes or to delete the item off your divice. if you want to transfer the item from one computer to another you can just save it in the image files (no itunes needed) [Computer\{name of iPad}\Internal Storage\DCIM\100APPLE] but in doing this you can not open/use the item on the ipad >.< apple products can be soooo difficult!!!

TRANSFERRING APPS SYNCED FROM FORMER COMPUTER TO NEW COMPUTER?

I purchased an I-Pad 2 on 3/11 to replace the original I-Pad I bought last year. I synced it with my "former" I-Mac and transferred Apps I had purchased and synced to my "former" original I-Pad to my new I-Pad 2..
Then my "former" I-Mac crashed and burned and I bought a new I-Mac. Now I have all the original apps successfully installed on the new I-Pad 2, but can't sync them back to my "new" I-Mac. Is there any way I can do that?

Thanks for your input. I tried that, but since the apps on my current I-Pad 2 were synced with my former computer, when I try to transfer them back from the new ipad to the new computer I get a message that itunes can only be synced to one computer and that computer is now gone.
The apps remain on the ipad2 now, but I can't sync them back in to the new computer. I guess I'm out of luck?

It sounds like you are unable to see your phone in iTunes after the computer turned off unexpectedly during an iOS update. I recommend resetting the phone first, and then attempting to restore with iTunes again.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

I purchased an iPhone 4S on 5/3/2012. Yesterday (7/17/2012) the battery started draining very quickly. I make sure to close all the apps after I finish using them. I haven't had a problem with the battery until yesterday afternoon. Any suggestions?

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.

Go to Settings>Store (or iTunes and Appl Store) and sign out and sign back in. If problem go to Settings>iCloud and make sure you are signed into the new iCloud account. You may have to create a new iCloud account.

, I want to get a brand new Apple ID to replace my current MobileMe address which I will convert to iCloud just for transition purposes and until my contacts update to my new email. I want to be able to ultimately eliminate my old .mac and .me address altogether and never see it again (divorce situation - see previous post)
Anyway, a snag, of course, is all my iTunes purchases. I want to benefit from iCloud wireless syncing but all my apps (Mac AppStore too) are tied to my current .me AppleID which can't be simply changed.
Since all the apps, music, etc, reside on my computer (which has to have the long & short name changed too) - would the following work:
1. Backup iPhone 4 and iPad 2
2. Create a new username on my computer (the name I intend to have as my only name once all is smoothly transferred)
3. Create new iCloud account with new .me address
4. Configure iPhone 4 and iPad to associate with new .me address (where exactly?)
5. Signed in as new username, Open a new iTunes library on my computer and import everything (apps, music, shows, etc) then consolidate it to be housed only in the new username
***also load to affiliate with new computer username (where?) the last iPhone 4 and iPad 2 backups
6. Re-sync (wired) iPhone and iPad to new library.
Will my apps, etc then be "in the cloud" and associated with my new .me address so I can wirelessly sync them as if I never changed my name??
What specific steps should I take and in what order should they be?
And if this doesn't work, any ideas that will? Same question then for Mac app store purchases.

Please try each of the following steps you haven't already taken, until the issue is resolved. After each step, relaunch the App Store and try again.
1. Follow the instructions in the Apple Support article linked below:
Mac App Store: Cannot update App Store purchases or updates do not seem available
2. If any App Store purchases were made under a different Apple ID, or if the bundled iLife applications were accepted under a different ID, sign in to the App Store with that ID to update.
3. Alternatively, delete the probem applications and re-download them with the ID you're using now. If you haven't already purchased them with that ID, you'll have to do that first, because purchases can't be transferred from one account to another.
4. Select the Purchased tab in the App Store window. If you see an item in the list marked "You have 3 apps to accept," click Accept.
5. Triple-click the line below to select it:

Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them originally. Did you try entering your old password and see if that works?
If you need to sign out of your old account go to Settings>Store>Tap on your ID and sign out. Sign in with the new one.
you can also access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store. Swipe to the bottom of the screen and you will find it there as well.

If they have 'open' next to them then that implies that they are already on your iPad - if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ? If it does then they are on your iPad. You've checked all your homescreens and tried a soft-reset to see if they show after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

TS4319 IMovie 9.0.7 update from the App store will not download. Error indicates their "a problem with the purchase".

For several days now I have had a software update for iMovie (9.0.7). When I try to download the update I receive the message "there was an error with the purchase".

Try this.
After signing into the Mac App Store (MAS) with your iTunes Apple ID, look at the Purchased page. You should see the three bundled iLife apps listed with Accept buttons. After you have accepted them and Apple has verified that they came on a new Mac and assigned them to your Apple ID and iTunes/MAS account, you should be able to update them.

Apps are forever tied to the account used to download them. That means they will always require it to update. The fact the email is no longer functional has nothing to do with this.
If you still have the password for the Apple ID (not the email account) you can still use it. You can also go to appleid.apple.com and update the email address for the Apple ID there to a functioning one so the Apple ID remains useable.

Will software that I purchased with my MB Pro transfer to my new MB Air? They're not showing on App store as purchased.

When I purchased my 2011 Macbook Pro, I ordered it with several programs, including iWorks, Aperture, and MS Office. When I look on the App store, neither iWorks or Aperture show up as "installed" (Wasn't really expecting that MS Office would). Now that I'm getting a Macbook Air, I understand that purchases from the App store will also transfer to my Macbook Air. However, if they don't show up as "installed" in the app store, will I still be able to get these on the MB Air? I paid for them - shouldn't I be able to have them as I would the other apps that I purchased on the App store?

Got me, there. I had never even opened the software when I received the MBP. The iWork and the Office software were stashed away, and a little digging around in my wife's office resulted in finding them. Also, it turns out that I did purchase the Aperture 3 on the App Store, so hopefully I am good to go when the MBA arrives tomorrow.

I clicked on a few free game Apps to check them out. After deciding I did not want them, I deleted them from my iPad by leaving my finger on their icons until it started shaking. However, each time I click on the App Store icon, I see the same game Apps there as "purchased" Apps, with a cloud and an arrow pointing down from it, next to each App. How can I get rid of them once and for all?

You can't it's only a history. The apps are in the cloud and not taking up space on your iPad.
