Transferring call from phone to bluetooth device

My car has built in blue tooth. When I make a call from the phone I have 3 options on the screen:
1. handsfree link (bluetooth)
2. iphone
3. speaker
If I press "handsfree link" it does NOT transfer the call from the phone to the bluetooth until the other party answers. This is really strange, and causes a delay when the other person answers.
Now I know I can use the car's bluetooth to place the call but there are times when I dial from the phone.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a work-around for it?

I would contact your car manufacturer as they have all the information of teh bluetooth setup thats in your car. They will have a better idea whats going on as its there system.
Have you tried it with any other phone or car bluetooth if its possible?

That makes no sense at all. The phone doesn't know or care what kind of phone is calling it. There's something else causing this. Contact your carrier.

Transfering calls from a POTS phone

Hi,
I have 2 analogue phones plugged into FXS ports on a Cisco 2821 router. The router is connected to a converged network using Callmanager 4.1(3) and running H.323.
I can make and receive calls between the analogue phones, between them and IP phones and from them over the PSTN. However I cannot transfer calls from them either to other analogue phones or IP phones.
I also get the same problem using other types of routers.
I would be very grateful for any help received.

I don't think this is possible with H323, but this is available in SIP.
Configure the gateway to use SIP and add this gateway as a SIP Trunk in Callmanager.

Transferring Data from phone to FB

Just figuring this Thunderbolt out. Looking to transfer videos and pix from phone to FB. Says I need driver. Went to HTC to download but said it was harmful to my computer. No driver came with phone. So what is a gurl to do? Ha-elp!

i actually only use this method for pics. i use an app called Qik for videos. i've never had much luck emailing, mms, or direct upload of video to fb. however, with Qik, you download the app, go to their site and set up an account, and then link it to your fb account. the whole process takes about 10 minutes and then you're ready to upload. what you do in the future is use Qik to record the video and it immediately uploads to your Qik account. then you can share it to fb from the qik app. it's VERY easy to use and i am able to have a video that i just took, on fb in about one minute. qik shares the video via a link with the embedded video so there isn't the whole screening process to go through (a direct video upload to fb is first transfered to the video type that they prefer and then awaits approval, before being posted. this is why i gave up on mms or emailing them to my account.) it shows up in your profile similar to how youtube videos show up.

Sending files from phone using bluetooth.

How can I send files from phone (Nokia E61) to MacBook using bluetooth?
There are the steps that I'm doing:
1-Open bluetooth on my phone and Mac.
2-select files on my phone.
3-select send via bluetooth.
4-select my Mac form bluetooth devices menu.
5-click send.
6-Connecting....
7-Sending failed.
I believe there is something that I have to do on my Mac to accept these files.
BTW, I can browse my phone from Mac, but it's much easier to send files from phone to laptop.

I bought the latest Imac about 2 wks ago and I have had a Mac before,it was my very first computer. I am a seller on Ebay and use Bluetooth to send photos to Computer as my camera is awol. I have been able to pair my Samsung Galaxy Ace and my old Nokia 6210 to the Imac no problem.Its when I go to send a file from either phone that it wont send. The exact words displayed on my phoone are ''Remote device rejected your request''. Both devices are visible but when I click on my phone say the Samsung in the Imac list it has beside it ''not connected''. How do I enable the Bluetooth to accept my Samsung or Nokia as i really need it

Well you must enable bluetooth sharing. To do so, just go to Preferences>Internet & Wireless>Bluetooth>Sharing Setup(at bottom right)>tick mark bluetooth sharing. Thats it and the next time you won't have a problem.
Note: Open padlock or else you won't be able to make any changes

Transferring ebooks from Mavericks to iOS device?

In the past I would move my ebooks from iTunes to my iOS devices just by dragging and dropping them onto the device, yet now with the introduction of iBooks for Mac that is no longer possible. How do I transfer my books from the Mac to my iOS device in Mavericks?

How do I import music to my mac from phone via bluetooth?

I am trying to import music from my brother's mobile phone to my macbook (itunes) via bluetooth connectivity. I can send one file at a time from his phone but obviously this is very time consuming so am trying to find a shorter method. When i go to import playlist in itunes, the phone is not recognised in 'my devices'. Any suggestions please?

Streaming music from Phone onto Bluetooth car set-up

does anyone know if iphone " Streams " music from the ipod function . If so , there is a new alpine head unit that will play that music through blue tooth . Looking for some help on this thanks

i have the alpine ida-x100 head unit..you need a seperate bluetooth adapter for it..once thats installed you can use both the phone functions for wirelss calling through your speakers and it will stream any music from your iphone. there is a source button that scrolls through what is hooked up to the head unit. you will then see am/fm an i pod (if hooked up) and then bluetooth music if your iphone is set up on the unit. its a great unit i bought it specifically when i bought my 3gs

While transferring music from phone to iTunes on computer, it deletes all music I didn't buy from iTunes.

I recently transferred my iPhone 4 to a new laptop. I'm trying to transfer the music that is on my phone to the new computer, but it deletes all the music that I hadn't purchased from iTunes. Anyone know how to fix this? Need help ASAP!

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. If non-store media has been deleted from the device and you have no other sources to reclaim it from then there really isn't much to do but accept the loss and make sure you backup properly in future.

How to get sound from phone when bluetooth connected

Easily paired my Plantronic bluetooth headset - piece of cake. However, if I'm not on the phone, I don't keep it on my ear. Sounds, except phone ringing, only come thru the headset whe it is on. I would like to hear the other sounds (i.e. notifications, text message alerts, other alerts) from the phone when my bluetooth headset is connected. It would be a pain to have to turn the headset on/off just to hear anything from the phone. I actually missed a meeting as the phone made no noise for my calendar reminder.
I would like the option of routing the tones/alert sounds to either phone or headset or just have it automatically do both.

Im afraid that disconnecting your blue tooth devise would be the only answer to your problem im afraid that is the only way

Can't transfer files from Phones via Bluetooth

I've tried two different phones. Both are seen. Both are paired. Both say the connection is lost when I try and send something to the Mac. Didn't have a problem with Lion, but with ML, cannot transfer files. I can see some of the phones contents when I browse the device from the Mac, but what's stopping me from doing it from the phone? Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?

If the ip addresses are beginning with 169 that means they are self assigned ip addresses.
I suggest you goto each mac and create a new network location.
Then setup one mac as follows
systempreferences-->network-->show built-in ethernet-->TCP/IP
configure ipv4 manually
ip address 10.0.0.1
subnet 255.255.255.0
on the other mac do the same but make the ip address
10.0.0.2
press apply now.
Now when you connect to server use the ip address 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2 respectively.

TRANSFERING PICTURES FROM PHONE (NOKIA6102)

I have installed and uninstalled to many times to count. It's not like it never worked. I managed to get my photos off once. The next time I tried I couldn't get it to connect. I have Win XP, a new Gateway 825 My phone is Nokia 6102 and yes my Cable came with a cd. I have tried both numerous times. Online download and CD. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, still says phone not found.
The following is what came up as I tried to connect again. I am following the instructions word for word. I wait till download is complete, like it is telling me to, before I plug phone into Usb port.
Phone with red x on tool bar after downloading latest Nokia PC Suite from Nokia site. ( 6.80.22) Click the get connected and it says on my phone screen Data enhancement connected and right away says data enhancement not supported.

It worked and was able to get pics off. Took some more and back to same headach again. What do I have to do when I'm done transfering. I think that seems to be the prob. I have been just unpluging from ubc port. Am I suppose to do that. How do I disconnect till next use.

Did you try to search for a similar question on the Verizon Wireless Community forum? I know I have seen at least two different discussions on this same situation in the last two days. Check both the Apple space and the iPhone 6 space.

Transferring pictures from phone to Mac Pro.

I would like to know how to transfer pictures from my Pantech Crux phone to my Mac Pro computer.

IPods have been designed by Apple to be a one way street. Mac to iPod, not iPod to Mac. That said, there is software available that addresses that issue. You may post your query on the iPod forum or search the discussions section for these forums and I am certain that you will find several options.
