I have been using call sign for a few years now and would like to transfer that number to a seperate line. Is that possible?

BT people like to "pretend" it cannot be done. In reality I have transferred a primary number to a Call Sign number in the past, and I have also transferred the digital number of an Home Highway "ISDN" line to become a Call Sign number too. They just don't want to bother to say they can do it because there's probably nothing in it for them and on some exchanges it might be more complicated than on others.
The last time I did it I had an argument with the man on the phone, who told me it could never be done until I exampled the details of when I'd done it before. It was then done.
Funnily enough I want to move a Call Sign number from one line to another right now, and then switch it with the primary number on the other line, so the existing primary number of the other line becomes the Call Sign. I'm getting the "cannot" be done answer at the moment, so I'll shortly be writing a letter to BT exampling how it can be done given I've had it done twice before.
Remember BT don't work for you, you work for them! How dare you even suggest they do something that you might find useful.

Last week we had an upgrade for our broadband. Since the upgrade all the telephone calling features were disconnected & removed. I have managed via 20 plus calls to reinstate all the services but the call sign number that we had for 10 plus years,cannot be restored! We currenly have a worthless different number & customer services say its not possible to provide the original number they disconnected!

Charges for calling Skype number from cell phone

Just purchased a skype phone number. Chose a local area code so family can call me while Iam in Italy. Will there be an additional charge on their cell phone when they call me. They have unlimited calls and text on there monthly cell plan. Will I have to pay skype if I answer call to my skype number on my cell phone? If I purchase a premium subscription will I be able to call home from Italy on my cell phone? And how much will that cost per minute- or will the monthly premium price give me unlimited calling and text from my cell?

Problems after porting Call Sign number.

We have today ported our Callsign number from BT to a VOIP provider as we are moving.
The ported number works fine
Our main number is now not working. All I get from "Inidian Telecom" is the network is working correctly & everything is fine. We can send an engineer but may need to charge!
I get a dial tone, the problem is when we try & dial out or dial in we get nothing but a bleeping.
Talking to the call center is like talking to a scripted brick wall.

I would not rely on the broadband to keep working, as if there is a cease order for it, then that will go as well.
The change of number to the "stopped line" would have been done automatically, as you are not taking the number with you.
As for the possibility of getting it re-instated, you would have to ask one of the BT Care Team to take a look on the system, to see what has happened.

Lync 2013 not hear ring back in mobile when call by number

Hi,
I have setup a Lync server 2013 standard Front end on windows server 2012 R2 and also installed update for Mobility service and enabled it. It seems everything works perfect but...
When I call by number in android phones and iphones, I do not hear ring back tone, although call is proceeded and if the calling person answer the call, everything will be fine. The strange thing is that if I call by name I hear ring back

This problem does not exist while using windows phone or desktop client.

Early media refers to media (e.g., audio and video) that is exchanged before a particular session is accepted by the called user.
If the remote party does not generate it, then you will not hear it. As stated by Holger, the logs will have this information. Without the logs it is not possible to identify where the problem is. Your app might have received it and not played it or it was
never send.

I've signed up to Call Sign, and after nearly two weeks they've finally said it is up-and-running... but how do I know my new second number? Do they send a letter to me? Or is there a phone number I need to phone? Getting a bit frustrated with it all! Thank you for any help :-)

Never heard of that. I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Well, if it goes to VM immediately the call isn't reaching your phone, so no wonder it isn't ringing. Do you see a network displayed in the upper left of the screen? Have you activated the phone by connecting to a computer with the latest version of iTunes? Have you called your carrier to make sure they have provisioned it correctly?

I've transferred my old number by PAT code to my new iphone and most of the time it works fine however there are problems when replying to tests and using Facetime when the original sim muber is displayed. My frined can text me on my correct number but if I reply she receives it from the different number. Also when using Facetime the number displayed is the one the came with the iphone.
