Transferring contacts from Droid 3 to zoom tablet

Anyone know how to do it?

chump
I will need a little more information from you in order to assist with getting your contacts on your new Xoom.
Where are you trying to transfer the contacts from? (phone, computer)
If you previously had another Verizon device that had Back Up Assistant, then you can go to this link that will give you instructions on how to transfer either from another Verizon phone that had BackUp Assistant.
If your contacts are stored in Outlook then you can import the contacts and then sync them to G-Mail
So as you can see, we can help, we just need to know where your contacts are currently stored so we can get them on the Xoom!

Centurion, congrats on your upgrade! I'm sure you'll enjoy the iPhone 4. There are several ways to transfer your contacts. First, are your contacts backed up to either Hotmail/Live or Google? If so, then you can setup that account as Microsoft Exchange account on your iPhone. For Hotmail/Live, http://bit.ly/14VLVIV. For Google, http://bit.ly/XzDaRC.
Let me know if you need further assistance, or have your contacts saved another way.

Not possible, the current version of iTunes only allows syncing via iCloud which the 3G does not support.

• Problem transfering contacts from N97

hi
i am transfering contacts from N97 to outlook. I used the ovi to syncronize the contact from N97 to outlook 2007. when i checked the outlook contacts. All english names are showing fine. But arabic name shows not correct way? how could i solve this, but my n97 shows all arabic contact in a right way? and my outlook , is supported by arabic too.

You can try to copy out a single contact as vCard and import it into Outlook. vCard will encode the names in utf-8 Unicode correctly.

• Transfering pictures from Droid Razor Memory Card to Macbook Pro Laptop!

I have a Droid Razor & I'm trying to transfer my pictures from my memory card to my Macbook Pro Laptop. It's not working. Can someone please help me nobody seems to know anything about how this is done through Apple or Verizon. I can transfer my pictures onto my Dell Desktop with no problem. I'm getting very frustrated. I knew I should have bought the IPHONE but Verizon talked me out of it! Please someone help me A.S.A.P.
Thanks So Much,  Ann

Thanks Mike for getting back with me. I'm trying to uninstall VCast from my laptop now. Hope it works. I've had my Droid Razor just before Christmas, my husband bought it for me for a Christmas gift. Now when I slide the bar across to unlock the phone it goes real slow. I'm really not very happy with this phone at all, but I guess I'm stuck with it. What do you think as far as to which you think is the better phone the IPhone or Droid Razor. I'm having a hard time uninstalling VCast from my apple too. If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.    Ann

Thanks for following up Ann. When you plug in your RAZR, is VCast opening up on your laptop? If so, I suggest uninstalling it from the laptop so it does not interfere with what we're trying to do.  When multiple programs are trying to read the same USB device, it causes conflicts. As far as the iPhone goes, if you're still within your 14-day exchange period, feel free to exchange the device for one that you want.  Please keep me updated when you have the time.  Thanks, MikeS_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport

• Update on transferring photos from Droid to iPhone

I'd like to share some information on transferring photos from an old Droid to iPhone 5, a problem I've wrestled with for the last few days.  Even though I got some good tips, and have learned that I'm not the only person with this particular problem, I still had no success making the transfer.  In desperation (thinking I'd get no help) I called 1-800-734-5870, the Motorola help line.  Was bumped up to "level 2" of problem-solving and was told that a possible solution might be to use a USB connector cord specifically made for Motorola phones (I'm not sure the one I've been using is that type).  The rep is sending me a courtesy cord to use to see if that will make a difference -- if no, t I'm supposed to call Motorola back.  My point is that the Motorola people were exceptionally nice, especially considering I'll no longer be using their phone.  I did not get this type of support from the Apple help line.  Will send an update if this simple "cord fix" works!

Thanks for the prompt reply, Roaminggnome.  I have to say, though, that the answer, while not unexpected, is disappointing.  The iPhone is, like the iPad, a data storage device as well as a cellular phone.  One can store and retrieve music, contacts, documents, presentations in Keynote, videos, podcasts, and a host of things on it.  And one can also store photos, which can be transferred from a digital camera or media card via a computer or iCloud.  So why, one has to wonder, would Apple not provide an alternative, and more direct, way to upload pictures from a camera without requiring the intermediary of a computer, as it does with the iPad?  But I guess that's what we're stuck with.  Puzzling, for a company as innovative as Apple.  Surely they know that folks are asking these questions.

• Has anyone successfully transferred contacts from a Blackberry to an iPhone?

Has anyone successfully transferred contact info from a Blackberry to an iPhone?

Hi Friend,
If it's possible to export contacts from Blackberry to the SIM card, then you can place that SIM card into iPhone and import them to iPhone (settings>>mail, contacts, calendars>>import contacts from the SIM Card.
Hope it helps

• Transferring contacts from an N80 to a N70 via BT?...

I'm trying to transfer contacts from an N80 to a N70 via BT.Seems I need to do this from the N70? (There doesn't seem to be a way of transferring the contacts data FROM either device!!)
The N70 sends the N80 a files called DataMover.SiS which the N80 can't open.
I can't get the devices to sync with each other using bluetooth, regardless of which 'phone the attempt is made from...
The N70 had the very latest firmware (V5.0609.2.1) and is unbranded, the N80 was recently flashed to FW V3.0617.0.6 from the earlier FW (V2.something?) and is locked to Orange.
What is really annoying is that I managed to send the contacts from the N80 to the N70 BEFORE I upgraded the N80's firmware, but I can't remember how I did it!!
(The fact that I was previously able to transfer the N80 stuff to the N70 was the reason I didn't worry about loosing contacts when I had the N70 unbranded & the FW flashed!! D'oh!).
Is this just something I'm doing wrong or is this still an unresolved Bluetooth issue with the N80??
BTW, the latest FW on the N70 seems to have stopped it falling over & dying when trying to use TomTom Sat Nav..!

There is a way i've done it and it works.
This is what to do;
make sure you N80 is factory rest - like new doesn't have to be but that's how I did it.
Then send the transfer request FROM the N80 to the N70 and done!

HI,
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 provides tips that will resolve most issues related to syncing contacts and calendars on a PC.
Make sure you have at least one contact in the contact manager on the PC, so there are contacts to merge.
You can sync and even merge contacts on from multiple computers as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296

3.If you want to transfer all contacts Select Mark All Option in Contacts Option.

• I am transferring contacts from my old iphone to my new iphone 4. The screen has had 'restore in progress' on the screen for 20 hours now with time remaining going backwards. Is this normal? Should I let it go on?

I am setting up my new iphone4 and am trying to transfer all of the contacts etc from my old iphone 3GS.After linking it with itunes the screen has shown 'restore in progress' for almost 24 hours with time remaining going backwards. Is this normal? Should I let it continue?

• Unable to back up contacts from Droid MAXX to cloud

I am complete lost here. Ever since I installed Verizon Cloud all of my online storage for contacts has disappeared. I visit the coud site and it says there are no contacts there. I originally had Backup Assistant PLUS installed and it worked fine. This new system sucks. According to Verizon I should turn off Backup Assistant Plus, but there is no setting to do that. At least one I can find. I cannot even find the app to delete it. This sucks. Maybe time to invest in an I-phone, I can never get a Verizon support specialist to assist me either.

Using Google sync is very easy to do. On most Android devices, your contacts are automatically synced when you first set up your phone and sign into your Google Account.
To start off, be sure to Sign in to your Account in settings.
Turn on the Account and syncing service in G mail
Check to be sure you’ve enabled the ‘Sync Contacts’ option.
Press ‘Sync now’ button and wait until all the phone contacts are successfully synchronized with your gmail account.
Now open Gmail in your computer’s web browser and click the Gmail text link that is listed on the upper left side of the Gmail profile.
Select Contacts and then you will see a page where the contacts from your Smartphone have been stored.
. One other tip is to export your contacts to an SD card and them importing them to your G mail account.
Happy Thanksgiving

• Transferring contacts from iphone 4s to PC and then to new iphone5

I am getting a new iphone 5 and want to transfer my contacts from my work phone iphone 4S to my PC . when I get new iphone 5 I will then transfer contacts from PC to iphone 5.
Can you advise best way for me to do this?

Hello grandview97
The best method would be to back up your iPhone 4s with either iTunes or iCloud. Once that is complete, then you can plug in your new iPhone and restore that back up from either iTunes or through iCloud. The steps are laid out in the article below.
