Transferring content from one apple device with one apple id to another device with a different apple id. (Family members)

My son has an IPod Touch and uses my apple ID to purchase and download music and movies from the Itunes store. He finally got a job and he purchased an IPhone 5 C and has his own apple ID. What is the easies way for him to transfer the contents of his IPod (that was purchased with my apple id) to his new device that has his own apple id?

iTunes and App store puechaesed are permanently tied to the AppleID used to purchase them. They can't be transfered.

  • Transferring Development from One SAP system to another?

I was wondering if it was possible to transfer an entire Package or a Transport with its development contents from one SAP system to another?
It would be preferred if the method doesn't require connectivity, like for example to be able to export everything in a package to an XML-file that could be imported into an empty package on another system.
It would need to handle all development parts, such as Reports, Function Modules, Classes, Special Classes (such as Exception Classes), Shared Objects and Persistent Objects (Yes, I like objects ), Unit Tests, Data Dictionary definitions for tables, table types, structures, data elements and so forth.
It this in any way possible?

    Hi
I believe u can only create a request containing all abap object of the package: u can do it by SE80.
After releasing the request u need to pick up the data file and the cofile and past these files to the target system.
So u can add and then import the your request in the queue of the development of the target system by trx STMS.
Probably u need to ask a little help to your basis in order to copy and past the files from and to SAP server (I don't know if you've the authorizations).
The name of datafile is like D<request number>.<system id>
    and the path
    /usr/sap/trans/<SYSTEM ID>/data
    the cofile name is K<request number>.<system id>
    and the path
    /usr/sap/trans/<SYSTEM ID>/cofile

  • How do i copy content from one hard rive to another through my macbook air? the copy and paste option doesn't work

How do i copy content from one hard rive to another through my macbook air? the copy and paste option doesn't work

It's because of the extension of the hard drive is a Windows extension ( most likely MSDOS or Ex-FAT), meaning you can only read but not write. If there are no important files (or you can copy the whole thing to your computer/mac) you can just reformat the hard drive and change the extension to NTFS (readable and writable on both windows and mac) or Mac OS Extended (readable and writable on Mac, readable on windows).
    Go to DISK UTILITY
Choose the Hard Disk you intended
    ERASE
    You can choose either

  • Transferring pages from one iweb site to another

Thank you for any feedback or suggestions.
I have finally gotten a separate .mac & iweb account for my business. Now I would like to take my business pages/site off my personal iweb account and transfer everything to the business iweb. How do you do that?
Following the threads on these forums I managed to get a second user, new .mac, etc. Thank you for all that help.

    Hi there,
The only way to move iWeb pages from one user account to another is to move the Domain.sites2 file where iWeb stores its files. To find that file go to
    User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2
If you can’t find it here search for it with spotlight. Note that the extension .sites (iWeb 1.0) or .sites2 (iWeb 2.0) may be hidden, also search for Domain only. To see if a Domain file is iWeb ’06 or iWeb ’08 select the file press Command(Apple)+i under "Name & Extension" you will find that it is .sites or .sites2.
Once you found it duplicate it (Command(Apple)+D). They are now completely independent from each other. So when you make a change to one site it will be saved only to that Domain file and not to the other.
Now take the copy of the Domain file and transfer it from one user account to the other.
To transfer your domain.sites2 file from one user account to the other you can put it on a USB-Stick, External Harddrive, on a CD/DVD or whatever. Not a great idea if you have a large Domain.sites2 is to send it by e-mail.
To get the site showing up in iWeb just open the Domain.sites file by double clicking on it and your sites and pages will show up on the left side in the iWeb page browser. Note that the location, where you put the file, doesn’t matter.
As you already created your and your business’ website they are both in the Domain file. What you then have to do, once you have it on both user accounts, is to delete your private website in business' account and the business' site in your private account. The rest will be preserved.
NOTE 1: Note that you have to change permissions of the Domain file to be able to edit, save changes and publish a website from another user account and from another computer as well.
Select Domain file press Command(Apple)+i under Ownership & Permissions go to =>Details =>Others and select Read & Write
You have to do that in the original user account and computer in which the Domain file was created.
If you don’t change permissions you will find an error while publishing and saving.
Remember to always have a Backup of both Domain files. It's REALLY important.

  • Transferring apps from one itunes account to another

I bought the original IPad from a family member, so it was set up with there ITunes account and all of the apps that are on it. I would like to transfer everything that is currently on the IPad over to my computer with my ITunes account, without having to reset the IPad and purchase all of the apps all over again. I need to manage my IPad through my computer and ITunes account, not the one it was originally set up under.
I have managed to do this with an IPod, so I can imagine it would be possible with an IPad.

It's not possible to transfer purchases from one iTunes account to another
Not trying to doubt you or anything but you probably did something else with the iPod such as use 2 accounts simultaneously in which case you would have to log out and in each time you needed to update

  • Is there a way to paste content from one ID doc to another without importing the styles?

    Hi all,
I often work with transferring content over from one catalog to another...each catalog has a completely different set of styles. Since I am an organization freak and like to keep things as organized as possible, it drives me crazy when all of the styles from the other ID doc are transferred over into my my new document. What I used to do was delete all of the styles from the catalog I was copying over from and save a copy like that simply for the use of copying information over (so that no styles were brought over), but I am currently working with copying over content from multiple catalogs that were built in InDesign and it will take me forever deleting all of the styles in those documents.
Normally it is a GOOD thing when styles are copied over, but not in this case. It is not important that format is carried over either...I just want the content. Normally I will grab a bunch of content (tables, text boxes and images) at a time to copy over. I amjust not able to use "Paste without formatting" either:( It is greyed out. I very often use the "Paste without formatting" when pasting in text by itself into a text block and that works great! But is there any way I can do something similar with a bunch of contents that are being pasted? Or even if I just want to paste a text block or two?
    Help?
Thank you so much in advance for your help:)
    Best,
    Christine

    Mary and Peter,
Thank you both so much for your input...those are both really great ideas! I had actually not known about the ability to "break the link" to the styles... I must have missed seeing that all this time I have been using InDesign...that is really useful!! And I also like the ideas of renaming the styles...I will have to see what works best tomorrow as I continue on. There are just soooooo many different styles involved that renaming them may not be feasible in this particular instance so I may need to just "break the links"....but then I just remembered that there are lots of table styles, cell styles and character/paragraph styles linked with the tables alone that I have to copy over....grrrrr. (making my hair stand on end thinking of it...lol)
Isn't there a way to break the links to EVERY style linked to one selected item (break the link to all table/cell/character/paragraph/object styles in one fell swoop) ?

  • Transferring data from one external drive to another

    HI,
I want to get a new external hard drive and transfer all of the data from my old one - which is not full, but has started to click and operate slowly. The old external hard drive is where I keep the music files for my itunes library, as well as all my personal files. I run all software on my iMac, OS 10.6.8 (i.e. the itunes Library files are on the imac's internal hard drive - the music files themselves are on the external).
Is there a link or a manual that someone can point me towards to perform this operation smoothly?
    Much appreciated,
    Scott

Make sure the new drive is formatted Mac OS extended.  You don't need to do anything fancy with erasing or partitioning.
    Kappy's brief drive formatting instructions (12/2012) - https://discussions.apple.com/message/20571091#20571091
    BDAqua's Formatting instructions - http://discussions.apple.com/message/8901255
Pondini: Formatting,  Partitioning, Verifying,  and  Repairing  Disks... - http://pondini.org/OSX/Home.html, specifically http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html
Drag all the contents of one drive to the other.  This make take some time and you may wish to break it up into groups of folders.
Once you have the iTunes folder on the new drive you will encounter a problem because you decided to keep your library files on the internal drive and your media files on the external drive (not normally recommended unless you have specific reason for not keeping them all in the iTunes folder in one place).  Unless you give the new drive exactly the same name and folder structure as far as iTunes is concerned you will end up with broken links for all your tracks because iTunes will look for them on the old drive.  If you keep iTunes's normal preferences for managing media but have simply redirected it to use an external drive, change the preferences in iTunes so it is now pointing to the media folder on the new drive.
Hold on, you aren't done yet. Your links are still broken.  Click on a track.  When iTunes asks you to find it, look for the particular file in your media folder on the new drive.  Hopefully iTunes will ask if you want to find others too and will do so automatically (be patient).

  • Can I port content from one pdf form to another, from within the form fields?

WE have been given a seasonal update to our pdf forms - with one new additional form field. Is there a way that I can port all the content from my ready filled form into this new one, without having to copy and paste each individual field?
    Thanks.

What is it that you want to do
    - you are the form filler; you want to keep the contents of a filled in form (and put them back into a changed form)?
    - you are the person responsible for adding/changing form fields; you want to keep the design and location of the form fields while changing the underlying PDF?
    - both of these?

  • Transferring library from one external drive to another

I'm going a little bit crazy trying to figure this out to be honest.
If all you read is the next paragraph that's fine, it's what I want to do. The rest is an explanation of what I've tried already, thanks:
*Here is my situation. I want currently have ~90GB of music on an 3.5" external USB drive. I now have a larger capacity 2.5" portable hard drive that I want to keep my music on so I can carry it with me anywhere. I also want to maintain playlists and play counts, etc. Seems like it should be easy, not.. haha.*
What I did first, before reading a guide (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/moving-your-itunes-library-to -a-new-hard-drive/), was change my iTunes music directory under Advanced, then simply moved all music from one drive to the other. Discovered iTunes couldn't find anything. I tried manually changing the filepath within the iTunes Library.xml file, that worked for some songs, but not everything. Then I read the guide and realized (I thought) how iTunes works. So I moved everything back to the old hard drive and reverted to my original iTunes library xml file. All music was working again, on the old hard drive, ugh. Step 2:
I again switched the directory to where I wanted it on the new drive. I then clicked "consolidate library". Oh, keep in mind I have always had the "let itunes manage my files" and "copy files to music folder" boxes checked. iTunes did its thing for a while, yet it only copied about 18GB/90GB to the new drive!! The majority of my music was not there.
Please tell me how to do this properly. It takes 2 hours each time I copy 90GB of music and I'm tried of going back and forth. If it can't be done, fine... I'll simply move the music and re-add all of it to the library and lose my playlists and play counts, but this doesn't seem like it should be that difficult of an operation, seriously. Oh, one more thing, I don't want to rename my new drive the same as the old because I named them based on storage capacity. Help!

Yes, those instructions are essentially identical to the ones on the link I posted. When I follow those steps only 20% or so of my library is copied. I try clicking consolidate again and it doesn't move anything else. Oh, and not only that, but when going through the iTunes Music Library.xml file, I still find some references to the old drive, which should not exist when I have told iTunes to manage my files and clicked consolidate.

  • Finder Error -36 When Transferring MP3s from One External HD to Another

I am trying to transfer MP3 files from a Lacie external HD to a Western Digital external HD.  Initially some files transferred without any problem but then I started to get this error message: The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in "name of file" can’t be read or written. (Error code -36).  I know the files are not corrupt because they all work fine.  If I transfer them one by one they transfer but I cannot transfer more than one file at a time without this error occurring.  Both drives are formatted as Mac OS Journaled.  Is there any way to transfer these files without getting this error?  Is there any other software out there than can successfully do this instead of Finder?
    Thanks!

How can you tell if the files are actually corrupt?  They open (and play), and I've transferred them from a previous external hard drive to the one that they are currently on a few years ago without any problem.  The size of the file that is getting hung up is only 8.6 MB, nothing substantial.  I'm D/Ling SuperDuper! now, I hope that helps.

  • Transferring songs from one itunes account to another with song info.

I'm curious to know if this is possible. I download a lot of music at work under my boss's itunes account. I burn a cd and download it to my home computer, under my account. The songs play, but it's missing the info./grace note tag. What are my options, besides manually adding the info to each song? Is it possible to use my itunes account on my work computer? Thanks so much!!

    Michaela A,
There is no direct way I know of in iTunes for coping your songs to an external device like a harddrive or memory and transfering to another PC. You have to do it in windows explorer. There is an artical on using your iPod to transfer music from a old PC to a new one. You can use these steps if you have an ipod or read them to get a general idea on what you need to do to transfer using your memory stick. If you use the stick you may not need to do some steps or alter others, but here a link to the artical
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173
You may even set up a home network, like a wireless one. then you could transfer tons of things between them or use the share feature in iTUnes, so you could have all the music on one and access the music on the other laptop via the network

  • Transferring data from one mac pro to another with firewire

I have owned an ibook G4 and a Macbook pro 17 in. The Macbook Pro 17 in was a 2006 and the video went out on it/conveniently 1 mo after Applecare expired!. I took it in and the genius bar sent it out to the depot but they determined it was damaged and refused to fix it (it had a tiny dent on the lid that I do not know how it got there unless the mag adapter did it while in the case). So I lost a $3k laptop. I now have a new Macbook Pro 15 in just purchased and I transferred all the data from the ibook G4 and the 17 in. by firewire using migration assistant. The problem is I have about 5 accounts now because it would not let me transfer things under the same name so I had to rename accounts and create new ones in order to transfer stuff. My question is, how do I go about incorporating all the accounts into one on this new 15 inch MBPro?

Target disk mode may be what you're looking for. Hold down the "T" key while booting. See the Apple support article for more information.

  • Transfering library from one itunes account to another itunes account

Is it possible to transfer my library from my ipod touch itunes account to my ipod nano itune account?
If it is possible how would I go about in transferring my library or some of my songs between accounts?

Ok first of all, you don't need different iTunes libraries (if that is what you mean by "accounts") for each iPod. You can plug many different iPods into the same library and use them with the same library. And you can even sync each iPod in a different way from the others, still using the same library.
So is that what you are wanting to do, have everything in one library and use both iPod with that one library?
Or am I misunderstanding the question?
