Transferring data from one planning area to other within the same system

Hi,
We have two planning areas setup and the corresponding planning books in the same system. Now I have to save the results of first book and transfer the results in the other. They have common key figures. Is the data saved to the key figure after saving show up immediately in the second one or do I need to load?

If I understand your requirement correctly, you should be able to use transaction /SAPAPO/TSCOPY (Copy/Version Mgmt) to send the data from the one planning area to the other. Please let me know if I misunderstood the requirement.

First i need to release forecast data to CIP planning area and then, i load the data from infocube to MPS planning area and copy the data from CIP planning area. here both MPS and CIP planning areas having different MPOS .

Hi,
You can use the transaction /sapapo/tscopy.
In this you can configure your source plng area and destination plng area. You also have an option to map your KF. There is no problem if the MPOS are different as long as you are able to map the characteristics between the 2 MPOS.
Alternatively, you can create an Infocube which shares common ground between the 2 planning areas and extract data from CIP plng area into the infocube and then copy teh data from infocube to MPS plng area using the the transaction /sapapo/tscube.

What's the RFC name for BPS to transfer data from one Plan-Area to another?

I created a role for BPS planner.This include all authorization except the RFC authorization for transfering data from one plan-area to another.However, even I set the '*' to the RFC name. Am I missing something? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Finally, I found that this error message will be pop-up when the authorization is not right. For example, if you don't have right authorization to access the corrsponding InfoCube which the BPS is based on. Now, I find the root cause and fixed this issue.

Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

Document contains TR for implementing BADI, but this document supports bpc version 7.0 and we are using is bpc 10.0.
So i make all compatible changes in BADI implementation and activate it. Now i am testing using transaction UJKT using following script.
and the result is records successfully written back to application MIS, but when i check data is not moved to target application MIS.

Hi Ganesh,
In SNP you do not have to go to RSA6 u can create datasource in S&DP Administration>change planning area>Extras-->Data Extraction Tools.
from there u can do all the settings and can as well test.so there is no use of either RSA6 or RSA3.

the location of the two web site is geographically seprated (and diffrent domain)

A) Please try this BADI Implementation
    /SAPAPO/EXTRACT_EX             Sample implementation
    /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTRACT             Definition name
    /SAPAPO/IF_EX_SDP_EXTRACT   Interface name
    /SAPAPO/CL_IM_EXTRACT_EX     Class name
The Uses of this BADI are;
1) You can interrrupt the data extraction process from the planning area.
2) You can use the CHANGE_INPUT method to override the input parameters for the extractor (sent from the requesting system).
3) You can use the CHANGE_OUTPUT method to alter the extracted data, derive the values of certain InfoObjects , for example.
4) You can use the CHANGE_SELECTION method to modify the selection table that is used for extracting data using a BAdI method. This is particularly useful when extracting data from an SNP planning area because you cannot specify a location product in the standard selection.
B) You can also try the below function modules
/SAPAPO/CL_IM_EXTRACT_EX - Load key figures of Demand Planning
/SAPAPO/CDI_TSDMID_KEYFS_LOAD - Load key figure data from TSDM

Move DC from one SC to another SC in the same track

Hi colleagues,
I am facing a problem when I try to move a DC from one SC to another SC, in the same track.
This track has all custom applications developed by my team. It happens that our custom applications were all in one Software Component, and we want to have one SC per application.
I followed the steps described in SAP Note 888969(and also this tutorial: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JDI/StepbyStepguidetoMoveaDCfromoneSCtoanother).
I could successfully Integrate all components of the DC in the new Software Component. Then I did check-in and activated it. Everything fine so far.
In the last step of copy/create the .dcref file in the TOP-Level DC folder, I did as described: have created an empty file with the same name and extension as the existed file on the old SC (new activity created). Then I checked in and on Activation phase I get an error: "Error! The following error occurred during request processing. /gems/clock' is already active in the compartment 'GEMS' and cannot be activated in the compartment 'ESS_CLOCK_IO'.
Does anyone had this problem before or have an idea how I can fix this problem?
