Transferring e-books from Sony to Kindle

Hi, I've just bought a Kindle 6" Wi-fi, but for the last 2yrs have had a Sony PRS-600. I would like to be able to transfer 100+ e-books (epub), bought mainly from WH Smiths, Waterstones or Books On-Board, onto the Kindle. Is this possible?

Transferring Address Book From 10.4 to 10.6

Please excuse if this has been already asked..
I am trying to transfer an address book from 10.4 to 10.6. I export the address book on 10.4 and import it on 10.6.
When I do so it brings over duplicated/deleted files and groups(i.e. if my email was [email protected] and I updated it to [email protected] and transfered to the new computer it would bring up BOTH [email protected] and [email protected]
I have deleted plists, meta data, configuration lists etc, but the old data will not stay deleted.
Any ideas?

GettIng books from iPad to kindle

I want to be able to read my books I have on my kindle iPad app on my kindle hd 7 inch. I however lost access the the amazon account with the books on it, before I lost access I saved most of my books to my iPad. Can I get those books from my iPad onto my kindle using cloud or syncing my iPad?

Not to the best of my knowledge, no. Unless I'm missing an option somewhere, Amazon's apps don't sync from device to device, they all pull from Amazon's cloud. You'll need to work with Amazon support to recover your account.

Transfering audio books from MacBook to iPhone 5s

I just asked how to transfer audio books from my MacBook to iPhone5s and had a reply that it should work like it did with my iPod touch. Well it doesn't. I tried moving audio books into my iTine Library (which I never did with iPod). I started to synch individual books but stopped as it is confusing to me what gets saved and what gets erased. I've tried dragging several ways. Help!

Well, maybe it should but it won't work. I drag the file over to the iPhone and nothing happens. I thought maybe because the audio books weren't in iTunes, so I moved them to the library on my macbook and still nothing happens.

Hi guys , I bought Sony TG3E a month ago and still not able to use it with my mac book. I did research and found that i movie 08 is compatible with AVCHD ( not sure about TG3E).Has anyone got an experience of Mac book with sony high definition TG3E? Furthermore, I heard that movie editing requires a lot of space in the hard drvie as AVchd when decompressed can occupy more than 40 GB easily. How to solve this problem. Can external hard drive solve the problem? Also when you burn the movie in a DVD how many DVDs required for one hour of High definition movie and whether this DVD can be played in a normal DVD player or will be cross compatible with pc. The same way you would to any ipod/iphone.
Select whatever you would like to sync, then sync it.
FYI: Leave the SIM card in your iphone that was in it when it was active. Without it you will not be able to restore or upgrade.

Transferring iPhoto book from MacBook Pro to iMac

I am the proud owner of a new iMac. I am trying to transfer an album I started on my husband's MacBook Pro, but all I can do is to export the photos...I already imporated all my events from the MacBook to the iMac. Now, I was to save the work that i have done on the album itself. Is the transfer feasible? Tx

By album do you mean book? If so then you can't transfer a book from one library to another because the book is virtual, existing only in the database files of the library.
What you can do is duplicate the library with the book and in the copy delete all photos excecpt for those in the book. Then copy the book to the other Mac and use it to complete the book. You can copy additional photos/albums from the large library to the book library with the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager.

Transferring audio books from nano to iTouch

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to transfer audio books from the Nano (5th gen) to put them on my new iTouch? I have tried dragging and dropping (doesn't work); copy and paste to a computer folder and the Touch (doesn't work) and I don't know many other things which I can't get to work either. I upgraded to the iTouch for more room and I hate to lose all the audio books I still have on the Nano. Naturally, I don't have the files on my computer any more. Any assistance would be appreciated. There are many ways to transfer audio files from an iPod. Start here:

For files that have protection, you can burn them to DVD then rip them. This works but it's cumbersome if you have to do it for a lot of files.

Last I checked, you could not sync Kindle books directly from the computer but rather have to download them from Amazon. You can check with Amazon's support and confirm, but I don't see anything on their site about synching from your computer.

Yes, if you downloaded it in itunes on the computer rather than straight into the iPad, it should transfer over the next time you sync, unless you turned off the option to automatically always sync new apps.
To transfer media from your computer there's a transfer button In the app. Note that not all content works in the app, though. EDIT or it may have a drop zone now. Our library had such a paltry selection of stuff that I removed the app. Here's a link to the instructions, but they may be out of date:

I have requested a book through the Sony Store.
Since I have not had a reply, I question what the process is to be able to get a book that is not in ebook format?
Has this been done before or does it take a certain number of request to get the book in ebook format?

Transferring Phone Book from iPad to iPhone 5S

Hello, I'm trying to tranfer phone book on ipad to iPhone 5S. I defined the same icloud accounts in both. I connected to wi-fi. But still cannot syncronize. I also tried connecting iPad to itune. Backed up. Restored from iPad to iPhone. Did not work.
How can I start the syncronization of iCloud manually? What can be the problem? One thing on my mind. iPhone 5S is IOS 7.0.4 but ipad is still the old style. Can that be a problem?

If you are reffering to photo stream...
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.
If you are reffering to restoring from back up...
When you restore from back up, the process will restore the OS and some initial data, it will then restart and allow you to use your device while the remaining data is downloaded and restored in the background. have you allowed enough time for this to complete.

I am having trouble transferring epub files from sony reader/pc to playbook and then finding them on the playbook after copying completed? Please help!

I just did this the other day for my wife, took some books that she purchased on her Sony Reader and moved them to her new PB. You need to download Calibre ( free) and also download software that will remove the DRM from the books that are on the Sony. I bought it from www.ebook-converter.com , was $29.95 US. I've read that there are also free ones out there but I went with this b/c it was mentioned in several posts. Go to your reader library on line, download the book, use the DRM and Calibre and then you'll have the file to transfer to your PB. You'll also need an e-pub reader, several on the Appworld, I used Book Reader.Of course I bought and paid for the Sony books so I see nothing wrong in just getting them to a devise that I want to read them on. This same process works for library books that you check out that have DRM enbedded. I Hope this helps.
