Transferring email address TO PC

Is it possible to transfer email addresses I entered into the iphone to the PC email client without creating duplicates of the emails I already have?
Thanks!

That email address which you no longer use, was it created as an Apple ID?
Yes? Great
Know/Remember the password for that Apple iD?
Yes? Great
Goto Appleid.apple.com - Manage - Sign In - Edit Old Email Apple ID to New Valid Email - Save - You get to keep your purchases. [Unless you already created a whole new Apple ID with the most recent Valid Email address... At bottom of reply.]
Old unavailable Email created as an Apple ID?
No, Sorry unable to merge purchases - those will be gone
Yes To Apple iD?
Great
Know/Remember the password for that apple ID?
No, hmmm a few things - however still not a gaurantee
1 - Reset Password at My Apple ID [Appleid.apple.com]
Reset Password - Found under Manage
Chose either [Email Authentication OR Secureity Questions]
[Email Authentication will only work IF you had/have a recovery email set up - Other wise hope you remember the answers to your questions]
2 - Contact AppleCare Account Secureity via Expresslane.apple.com
Note: Hope you can Verify your information - As only way to have password reset
Not able to Verify Information? Sorry purchases are now no longer available.
And ajnother Note:
If you have already went and create a New Apple ID with your most recent Valid Email Address - you are not at all completely out of luck [Unless you are unable to reset your password for the Original Apple iD then you are.]
But can create another [Valid/bogus] email from a free domain.
Once get password reset for Old un-available Email Address Apple ID
Then you first want to edit the New Apple ID with the other new email
This frees up the email you want to use for your apple id
Sign into Older Apple ID edit with email you want to use.
Hope this information helps you!

  • Transferring email addresses from one account to another

I'm not sure if this is a good place to post this but after spending a good bit of time on the phone with FiOS customer service and technical support I just feel like venting my frustrations and hope that maybe someone could give me a valid explanation of why this cannot be done.
To give a brief (hopefully) summary of what's going on...
My wife and I are currently in the process of moving from Florida to Maryland because of the current job market and economy situation.  As always...the moving process has been a "blast".  For at least a few months we will be "between" homes and will be staying with friends.  Because of this we had to cancel our FiOS service (which I did last week and it will be shutting off sometime today).  Since we've been very please with the actual service FiOS provides we have (or maybe I should say "had") every intention of signing back up with Verizon once we're in a new home in the Maryland area.
So here's where the trouble comes into play...I contacted Verizon to see if it would be possible to somehow transfer our existing Verizon.net email addresses from our account to my friend's account (the person I'm staying with).  You would've thought I was asking for a year's worth fo free service.  Initially I was told by customer service that this can't be done.  They explained that an email address is like a phone number and two separate accounts cannot have the same email address.  Thanks for the newsflash!  I explained again that what I wanted to do was move my email addresses so they would now be associated with my friends account.  This didn't seem like such a horrible request considering my friend pays for FiOS service and with that gets 9 available email addresses....and was only using 2 of them.  She ultimately just told me it was something that couldn't be done.  But she did inform me of the "Verizon Your Domain" service that would allow current FiOS subscribers to associate their Verizon.net email account with a new domain name that you create.  It would cost $20 per year and would allow you to keep your Verizon.net email if you canceled FiOS service.  This sounded like an ok option.
But still -- I was curious why I couldn't transfer email addresses.  So I then contacted technical support.  This time it was explained to me that an email address was like a social security #.  It couldn't just be given to another person.  Great analogies in use at Verizon....I give them that.  I told the guy I was a fellow "techie" and asked him for a more detailed explanation.  That's when it got good.  That's what killed me.  He spent all this time talking about ACL's and routing and how email addresses couldn't be moved because "you're talking about 2 million addresses".  Long and short he was trying to say the Verizon email system was just too complex.  Finally I told him that it had to be something that could be done....and his exact words were "well sure it can be done...but we're not going to do it if you're not paying for a service".  Wow!  Great response!  I've been a paying customer of FiOS for about two years.  I've had some form of service with Verizon for about 15 years (from phone service to mobile service with V-Wireless).  I fully understand that I'm no longer paying for FiOS service.  But my friend is.  And he has 7 email accounts he's not using.  So why couldn't they be moved?  Because the system is too complex?  Give me a break.  Like this guy finally admitted...it boils down to money.
Finally I gave up.  I told my wife that we'd just have to deal with switching to a new email address.  Life will move on.  She wanted to try the "Verizon Your Domain" option though.  She started doing the process online...had some questions....and decided to call customer service.  She got transferred around to three different people...the last of which told her "you need to call a different department" and then CLICK.
Great, great job Verizon.  All I ask is if someone could give me some sort of response that makes sense.  If you just don't want to offer the transfer option then tell me.
I expect to be in a new home within a month or two.  And suddenly Comcast is looking very good.

Well, CS was right when they said that Verizon cannot transfer your email to another account. In order to do that they would have to overwrite the email of your friend ( I dont think your friend would apreciate that ). This is due to a limitation on the email system.
However, you may have another option. If you are going to be getting Verizon service again in the realitivly near future (4-8 weeks or so), Then after your acount is closed, contact tech support. If you get the right agent they will "enable" your email. That way you can continue to use it even though you dont have service any more. Now they cant do this for long but for temporary it can be done. Then once you get your service back, they can then move your existing email to your new account. (this can now be done as they will overwrite your new email with your old).
Now if your going to be without Verizon service for more than a couple months, you may be out of luck but this is one option
    umm, oh bhoy!
In fact, a "repoint" of an email address CAN be completed onto another account AND it does not overwrite anything on the receiving account.    Each acount, whether its a FiOS account or a copper account, has an account number.   The email address is assigned to the account number.    The email address can be "repointed" from one account to another, as an 'add-on' to the new account, then it can be 'repointed' back to another account later.    HOWEVER, the contract does say that you must have a valid account.  AND, Verizon cannot (no company can) allow you to manipulate someone else's account.
as to the "after your acount is closed, contact tech support. If you get the right agent they will "enable" your email", well, the fact is that the account has to be provisioned to an address.   So, though I have come accross accounts that seemed to still be "on" after the listed close date, it was not something that verizon's tier 1 tech support can effect (that's who you get on the phone when you call tech support) (note that 'sales' could not do this for you, either)   So good luck with that.
What happens is that Verizon will not allow anyone to take your email addresses for at least 6 months.
Before you cancelled you may have had an option to have a notice auto-replied to any email that gets sent to your email address, for a limited amount of time, like they can do with a telephone number ("this number has been changed to . . . . . ")  that "this email address is temporarily suspended, or something. . . . I said MAY have had the opportunity. .. .   but if it was me, I would get to where you are going and make sure they have Verizon internet account already   and have them call verizon tech support (so they can verify their account info)  with you standing there so that you can verify your old account info and immediately and plainly ask if you can have an email "repoint" done for you.

  • Transferring email address from old DNS to Business Catalyst

I currently have a clients email address (ex. [email protected]) through an old Registrar site (Network Solutions) and am currently working on an Adobe Muse site for this client. Once the site is completed I will then need to complete a Domain Name Server change and transfer the address (ex. www.clientsite.com) and upload this through Adobe Muse. With this change comes the need to change the email from the old server to be now hosted by Business Catalyst. Is there a certain way to go about this? Not creating necessarily a new email through Business Catalyst but transferring an email address from an old server/network to our existing Business Catalyst account.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
When setting up a domain name with Business Catalyst, you can either host e-mail with BC or Externally.
    http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/AP/2013-11-28_1419.png
When you're hosting externally you'll just be redirecting traffic when it comes to mail, to wherever you have e-mail setup. So after adding your domain in BC admin, you'll be prompted to add the mx record. http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/AP/2013-11-28_1420.png
Network Solutions can provide the mx value. You will also probably setup a CNAME record so that mail.yourdomain can point to their login interface.
(I've tried to search for any listings of their mx values and only stumbled across this post http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/mx-record-with-network-solutions, maybe it's of any value)
You'll select Hosting e-mail with us implies creating e-mail accounts in our interface. So that means that it's best you back-up your e-mails before switching, as the actual e-mail account over at Network Solutions will be lost and re-created here.

  • Problem transferring email addresses to IPhone 4

IPhone 4 new user - can not get Yahoo & Google email addresses transferred to IPhone from Macbook

When I purchased the IPhone the AT&T folks copied the phone numbers from the sim card to the contacts folder on the IPhone, I can access both Gmail and Yahoo mail fine, but when I attempt to send email I cannot access my email addresses that I have set up for both Gmail and Yahoo - I can type in the email addresses and send or reply to email and send - both work fine - the problem is in accessing the email contact lists with email addresses - my cell phone contacts were some of the same names but no email addresses.  I went to ITunes and went through the sync procedure but none of the IPhones settings panes described in the IPhone User Guide showed up -  ITunes gave several messages indicating step 1 was complete, then step 2  and after one or two more similar messages stated the syncing was complete.  Not sure what to do at this point.

  • Problem Transferring email address to new home

I have had BT broadband for 10 years - everyone I know has my BTinternet.com email address. I have stuck with BT despite several trials when moving home, and generally am happy with the service I have had. So much so that I recently signed up my partner to have BTbroadband in her home. Now we have made the decision to move in together, but find that I am completely stuffed when it comes to keeping my email address - I have to pay £1-54 per month for the privilege!
BT say that if I cancel my account for telephone i will lose my email address. BT say if my parner cancels her account she will lose the phone  umber (and won't let her cancel because she has only had the account for a month in any case! BT say I cannot transfer my email address to her account even though they are both BT, as they do not permit email addresses to be transferred between accounts!
Why on earth do they persist with this archaic process. How many people move in with each other every year, and how many of them would have BT accounts. Surely it is easy to transfer email addresses between accounts, as it happens all the time when people move house. If I agree and my girlfirend agrees, surley that is all that is needed to move an email address.
Is this BT just being blooming awkward or is it a money making scheme to get people to pay for premium mail. Why can't I keep my email address without having to pay £18-50 per year!!
    Very furstrated of west sussex!

They can move old primary accounts and sub accounts to another account. They've done this for me, free of charge, in the past. If you can't get any help from the helpdesk then click here to contact the mods.

  • Transferring email addresses

  • Transferring email addresses between accounts

I have 2 broadband accounts on 2 separate telephone lines coming into my house but I need to terminate one of the lines and broadband services. The email addresses on the line to be terminated are really well used and I want to change them over to my new account rather than going through the process of trying to trace and update literally hundreds of sites and people. Is there a simple way to do this? If I delete them from the old account would I instantly be able to add them to my other account?
Thanks for any advice on this

  • HT2486 HOw do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

How do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

Connect your iPhone 4S to your Mac using the iPhone’s USB cable, and then use iTunes to transfer your contacts from to the iPhone. (An alternate way is to use iCloud.)
I’m not sure what you mean by “transferring email address” from the Mac to the iPhone. But if you mean you want to access your email from the Mac and the iPhone, the best way is to configure your email account over IMAP in Mail on both devices.

  • Transferring bt internet email address

I have recently closed my BT account as I have moved in with my girlfriend, who already has an account with BT.  I am concerned that I will shortly lose my btinternet email address.  Through another post on this forum and a conversation with BT about month ago I was told once my account was closed I could ring up and they would transfer my exisiting email address onto my girlfriend's BT account so it would remain active.  I spoke to someone from BT last night and they said this was not possible and my email would disappear soon, which would be disastrous.  It then occured to me that my email address may have been a sub-address on my parent's account set up some years ago, but I'm unsure of this and the lady on the helpline could not tell me.  My questions are:
    1) How can I tell which account my email address is regsitered to?
    2) If it is registered to my old account which has now closed how do I get it transferred?  My experience of BT call centres is you get different information depending on who you talk to so I'm unconvinced it's not possible to transfer.
    Thanks for your help

If the email account is a sub-account of your parents, the main account holder should be able to see it as a sub-account.
If it is a sub-account and you are happy to leave it there then just do that.
If it is not a sub-account and you want it moved to your girlfriends account you need to post back and a moderator should be able to assist with that.
This link is about setting up sub-accounts but it shows you how to access it and it will show any sub accounts that have been set up.in BTYahoo. There is also info about keeping your email address on a new account.

3000 old emails, some as far back as 2009, came along for the ride when I transferred aol address book to imac address book. Can't find the magic key to permanently delete them. Ideas on procedures?

    I'd try deleting 50 at a time - 3000 is a stretch.
By the way, double posting is not at all helpful.
