Transferring From Itunes to Windows 7 (64 bit)

I have successfully sent my AIF file from my IPad (Garageband) to ITunes.
   2. I have successfully downloaded the ITunes program to my PC.
   3. I have successfully Synced my PC to ITunes.
I cannot find my song
When I open the ITunes App on my computer there is nothing that says App or Garageband. The only options I have are to go to the ITunes store and spend money, or look at a list of songs that were on my computer before I started any of this.
Could someone please (please) explain how to do this in simple terms? It isn't in the ITunes file on my Computer. I don't have a clue where to look on ITunes or now to get there. I've re-sent it more than once and get the - You've already sent this file - message. So I know it's there.
Could anyone please walk me through this? I am completely stumped.
Thank you.

The reason why I was so confused - there is a grey arrow to the right of the word IPad  on the toolbar. Which I click on the arrow (Which seemed the rational thing to do) the word IPad disappears. No one bothered to mention that in any of the other posts. So I didn't even think about clicking on the word itself
It's funny how you don't bother mentioning the most obvious things.

  • Error numbers are 2502 and 2503 for installing iTunes for Windows 64 bits. How to fix?

    Hey guys,
I cannot install iTunes (latest vision) on my new laptop (Windows 64 bits), and it says that the error numbers are 2502 and 2503...
Can someone tell me how to fix this?
    Thank you!

Check your system date & time is correct.
Run the System File Checker: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
If you still have problems try a creating a new user account with administrator rights, log into it, and attempt the install from there.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Can't install itunes on windows 64 bit system

I tried to install itunes on my 64 bit machine, but with verson 6.0.5, it says this software doesnt support 64 bit systems. I tried to install an earlier version i think its 6.0.4.2 not sure, but it does install on my computer. When I try to open the program and quicktime, I get error box saying the program had a problem and couldn't open. Is there anyway to fix this problem, and is there a way to have the newest version of itunes to work on windows 64 bit?
      Windows XP Pro

iTunes and QuickTime have never been supported on the 64-bit version of Windows (look here for the official statement). Some people have managed to get it working (at least tolerably), but from what I've read, a recent update from Microsoft has caused a lot of problems. You might try rolling back recent Windows updates and see if you can get things working again.

  • Installing iTunes on Windows 64 bit XP

Where can I find the installation file for iTunes, that can be installed on Window XP, 64-bit?  The file I downloaded from itune.apple.com gives me an error stating "This iTunes installer requites Windows Vista 64-bit edition."

I'm sorry you are having problems with iTunes.
It is best to reach out to Apple http://bit.ly/OBKBjr to get additional information on that product.
    Thanks!

  • Some partial songs transferred from ITunes

I am having a problem with the transfer of songs from iTunes to my iPod. The songs play fine in iTunes but after transferring them to the iPod about75% play fine and 25% are partial files, of various sizes and random throughout the iPod library. I have sent it back three times and recieved new iPods but the same thing happens. I bought a nano and it does the same thing after transferring the music from iTunes. I need advice. Apple doesn't even know what it is.
    PC   Windows XP

    MORE INFORMATION:
I tried various ways to transfer songs into the itunes ipod icon: from library, from playlist, even tried transferring playlist. In all situations, the transferred songs appear within the ipod icon as they should, but ipod doesn't show these songs when ejected. It's as if there is a missing "burn ipod" step or something.
I tried installing older itunes software, but it wouldn't let me because I had a new version. I didn't want to uninstall my current version for fear of wiping out my entire library.
I am not ready to take this step yet. I am hoping apple has a fairly simple solution.

  • Transferring from RealPlayer or Windows Media Player

Can one transfer music directly from RealPlayer or Windows Media Player into iTunes? I downloaded some songs into RealPlayer then burned them onto a CD, then tried to import them into iTunes but iTunes would not recognize some of the songs, so I would like to transfer directly from these other player programs into iTunes (and have them go into iTunes in the correct format for transferring to an IPOD. I haven't bought an IPOD yet. I am just searching this all out to make sure it is going to work the way I hope.

No way to know, though a RM or WM player would require Real and Microsoft to program one.
There is a chance this will happen with the SDK coming in Feb.
Those files can be converted to an iPhone format (ie Quicktime) providing you have a converter and there are no DRM restrictions in place in the file.

  • Why does file date show 1970 on files transfered to iTunes app window?

I am finding that files transfered to the apps section in iTunes shows last updated time different from the actual file date on the Mac.
This is happening for both Numbers, Pages and PDF HD . I just did a file sync of a PDF I created and the date in the iTunes window shows 5/27/70 9:00 am (should have been 6/30/10 12:52 pm, the date that is on the original Mac file). Dates vary between 1970 and 1971. There wasn't even a Mac on those dates!!!
Only one PDF has the correct date which is the iPad Manual (downloaded from Apple). All the files that have incorrect dates were PDF files created from my applications (Finale, InDesign, and DVDpedia). I have tested other downloaded PDFs from other sources and they all show 1970's dates on them in the iTunes App window.
This really has no real impact other than being able to determine if the most recently created file is the one on the iPad. Now, I have to delete the current file in the iTunes window and add the file again from the Mac finder to be sure. Not at all a good solution.
    Is this an iTunes bug

On older computers there was a PRAM battery that would last only so long then needed changing. If the battery went dead then when the computer started it would default to a the dates you have noted.
iTunes will use the current system date to reflect the 'date added' information.

  • Downloading from iTunes with Windows Vista

I just purchased my iPod video and i am tring to download a free episode of something and it is saying that it is going to take 132 hours for it to download. I am using windows vista and i was wondering if this was a normal thing or if there was anything that i could do about it. Thank you in advance for anything that you can do to help me.

Apple, apparently, had a fix up for an earlier version of itunes, but that is gone from the web page, and has been yanked.
Yes, there are big problems with iTunes for Windows. Until these are rectified, your Ipod will be a paper weight.

  • I have a brand new iPad 2 and it is not being "seen" by iTunes for Windows (64 bit Win 7)

I originally had my iTunes library (music, apps, etc) on a MacBook.  Used "home sharing" to drag over most of my collection to my new Windows 7 laptop.  All apps, music, etc show up fine in iTunes on Windows but when I unpacked my new iPad 2 and plugged the apple cable into the USB port on my Windows laptop and the other end in my iPad 2, no synching occured nor did the iPad 2 show up on the left-hand list on iTunes.
Any idea what might be wrong?  I did already try different USB ports.  Each time I plug and unplug I get the audible notification from my laptop that the cable is disconnected and/or connected.  so it's not a hardware issue.

    A Couple of questions..
Is the location shown under preferences/Advanced/General still showing the correct location?
Is the check boxes under this checked or unchecked?

  • ITunes for Windows 64-bit (oops, doesn't install under XPx64)

Just as the subject states, whenever I try to install iTunes 7.6 64-bit, it declares that I must have Windows Vista in order to install this. If it's not supposed to work for XP x64, then why post that on the download page? Hopefully if you were trying to be nice and provide us with an XPx64 copy, this trouble will be corrected sometime down the road?
    Thanks in advance.

The 64 bit version of iTunes will not install on my machine either. The setup program only checks for Vista 64 and if its not then it won't allow you to install. If there's no major difference in how iTunes works under XP and Vista then It seems like all it take is for the setup program to check for Windows XP x64 then allow iTunes to install.
P.S. I've installed the 32 bit version of iTunes on XP x64. It works but is not stable; It already crashed twice.

  • I can burn CDs from Windows Media Player, but not from itunes.  I always get Error 2131.  How do I transfer music files from itunes to Window Media Player Library?...or convince itunes to burn a CD?

    Cannot burn CD from itunes.

The thing is, they are in the unprotected format? (
They are protected WMA from when you RIP'd them with WMP. iTunes will not read them.
Go to WMP Tools -> Rip Music.
Under Rip settings, it is set to *Windows Media Audio* and most likely *Copy protect music* is ticked. This is how it is protected.
You will need to reRIP them all from CD.

  • How to transfer purchased movie from itunes to Windows 7

I purchased a movie from itunes, played it on my mac, now I want to play it on a PC running Windows 7.  How can I transfer it?
    Thanks,  Mike

    Thanks,  Mike
You need to install iTunes on your Windows 7 machine (if it is not already installed), you need to login to the iTunes Store using the same Apple ID as the Mac. You then need to copy the movie file from the Mac on to the PC. You then need to tell iTunes on the PC to import that file.
When you then try playing it on the Windows PC, it should ask for permission (and password) to activate that computer with the iTunes Store. It should then be able to play it.
You can have up to five computers (Mac or PC) activated at the same time.

  • Not all songs transferred from iTunes to iPod

iPod touch 3G, intel iMac (Leopard).
The iTunes library has just been rebuilt with all files present and correct, cover art etc and AFAIK all tunes play OK. (Took ages, but it's all good!)
    1. Removed all songs from iPod
    2. Updated OS to 5.0.1
    3. Synced all music to iPod from iTunes. At the start I got a message saying that "This computer is not authorised to play some songs and they will not be transferred". However the iMac is of course authorised, and all the songs were either bought through iTunes on the iPod and transferred (over the last 2 years) or bought direct to the iMac, or ripped from personal CDs.
    4. Unchecked "sync all songs", switched to "manually manage music" and put them on manually. Same result but without the above message apperaing.
There's 7503 songs on iTunes and only 7431 on the iPod.
    Two questions:
Does anyone know why this should be?
Is there an easy way of finding out which songs are missing? I've checked the ones I remember purchasing on the iPod originally, and they're all there.

You go to iTunes>file>move folder 2 library then you slect the folder your songs that you downloaded r in and click ok.
And more you can follow this tutorial about how to tranfer music from computer to iPod.
    Cheer.

  • Books transferred from Itunes to Ibooks loses author and category information.

How can I get author and category information for pdfs to transfer from itunes into the ibooks app on Mavericks?  I just transferred my book collection from itunes to the ibooks app and have lost all the author and category information that I entered on all my pdfs.  Do I now have to re establish this info in ibooks app?  Ibooks doesn't appear to allow for creation of new categories or editing of author's name when it assigned unknown to all my pdfs.  My book library appears to have been seriously downgraded by this "upgraded" os.

totally agree with you. Exactly the same here.
you can't re-establish this info in iBooks because it doesn't allow you to do it. No editing and organising at all (except from moving into a section of your choice).
In addition to no editing/changing, no backup/restore, no books/pdf location settings (all placed in user-library), etc. ... simply a complete disaster.
For me a killer-criteria to use OSX Mavericks! That forces me to move back to OS X mountain lion!
What did the Apple iBooks dev team think when creating this application? Come on this can't be true!
