  • Unlimited World calls to Sweden

I have been making Skype calls to Sweden for about 5 years and always thought, for some reason, that I needed both Unlimited World AND Skype Credit.  I call to a cell phone from both my cell phone and landline.  My daughter told me I didn't need Skype Credit if I had Unlimited World, so I let my Skype Credit expire.  Now, however, when I try to make the call it tells me I don't have enough Skype credit.  If I need Skype credit, why would I need Unlimited World.  When I click on my Unlimited World subscription it says I can make landline and cell phone calls to Sweden.  What am I missing or doing wrong here?
    Solved!

    Hello
The Unlimited World Subscription allows calls to Swedish landlines only - not cellphones. To call to cellphones in Sweden you require either credit or a dedicated Subscription. Hope this clarifies the situation for you.

    HOW CAN IT BE?

  • Stop automatic transfer from my bankaccount to Skype Luxemburg.

Since Dec. 2014 every month an amount of € 12,69 is automatically transferred from my bankaccount to Skype Luxemburg. I want it to stop!!!  I don't know why. I never agreed. I want it to stop!!! How can I stop it??? Why can't I communicate with somebody of Skype???

Hello. Thank you for getting in touch.  I can imagine you must be concerned about this. Have you contacted your bank about this?  If this is a standing order with your bank account, then you should be able to cancel that with your bank. I would also recommend that you please contact Skype customer service with the details.  They may also need you to provide a proof of payment from your bank, to be able to handle your issue. There is more information about handling issues with bank transfers to be found at the following help page, but in your case I would still recommend to contact customer service using the above link. https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10661/i-have-a-problem-with-my-bank-transfer?q=bank+transfer I hope you are able to get this issue resolved quickly

We don't use skype anymore and skype xxxxxxx money from us as our skype credit was "deactivated".
UPDATE: I contact skype chat support and they reactivated my credit no questions asked. It was quick and easy (suprisingly so). Chat support saved a customer. I felt compelled to share my experience after posting the above comments in haste.

  • Have Unlimited World, but need Skype Credit for ca...

So I've checked and read and googled... I have the Unlimited World plan that covers China. From my understanding anyway. My account says Premium, which I read does not cover China. But I also have Unlimited World that does include China. When I go to the rates and click on China it shows the unlimited plan at the bottom. When I click it, it says I already have this plan and will be overlapping my current plan. I really need my subscription to work, otherwise I will cancel it, what's the point?

  • Skype credit & unlimited world calling

    Hi,
I've subscribed for unlimited world calling free month and it was working great.
However it seems my Skype credit have been charged for the same and my skype credit is null now. When u try to make call using unlimited world call I couldn't make a call as it says you don't have credit balance.
I was in an impression to subscribe for this once my free month gets over, but since it makes me think that Skype credit is charged for the free call I have hesitation to make the subscription.
Could you make me understand the below
    1. What's the difference between Skype credit and Skype subscription
    2. Say if I subscribe to UWC for $13.99 do I need to buy a Skype credit separately to make calls?
    Thank you in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    1.  Skype credit can be used to place calls to phone numbers reachable by the Skype network.
Skype subscriptions can be used to place phone calls at no cost assuming the number being dialed is covered by the subscription and your usage of the subscription doesn't violate Skype's terms of use or fair usage policy.  If you dial a number not covered by the plan or exceed your allotted usage (if minute based), then credit will be consumed.   Additionally Skype subscriptions do not cover calls to premium, shared-cost or non geographic numbers.  Those will revert to credit if dialed.  Be aware that many unlimited plans do NOT include mobiles.  Dialing a mobile when you have a landline subscription will consume credit.
    2.  As long as you make calls covered by the subscription then no credit will be consumed nor is credit required.  You can have a subscription with a zero credit balance.  If you attempt to make a call that requires credit, you will not be able to place the call.  If you are unsure what is covered by your subscription you need to revisit the terms of your subscription or keep your balance at zero credit (Auto-recharged disabled) to not incur additional costs.
This FAQ covers what is covered by that subscription.  Pay close attention to the landline and mobile part.  You can also refer to the Skype rates page and look at the pay as you go rates.  If an area code is listed as premium or shared cost for the country you are calling, it will not be covered by the subscription and it will request credit.

  • Skype credit & unlimited world calls seem not right

I bought a skype deal for World for 3 months. This says I could call USA and Canada mobile phones without any extra cost. I could also call landlines in Venezuela for the period without an extra cost.I attempted to call a mobile phone this morning and it said I dont have enough credit. What does it mean if it is clearly written on your page https://www.skype.com/en/rates/?nu=subs-calling that I could use same to call without any extra cost? I need to understand more. I cant make both out.Whats going on?

  • Switching from World Minutes to Skype Credit durin...

    Hi.
I have an Office 365 60-minutes deal, plus Skype Credit, both of which I use for business purposes. I understand that Skype will prioritise using the world minutes before using Skype Credit for calls.
My question relates to running out of World Minutes during a call, which ends the call even though there's Skype Credit available. This necessitates a call back, which can appear very unprofessional.
    Questions:
    1. When I reach zero minutes, is there any way for Skype to automatically switch over to use Skype Credit without dropping the original call?
    2. Can I select which "account" to use when making the original call?
    3. Is Skype working on either of those solutions, or anything similar?
    Regards

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
    1. Unfortunately not. Calls can't be switched seamlessly when there's a change in the call charging protocol. Calls are charged at different rates between Subscriptions and Credit.
    2. Again this isn't possible. The system will automatically choose the cheaper option and can't be manually overridden.
    3. No. As a workaround you could establish a second account and use it for selected calls funded solely by Credit.

  • I bought a Skype subscription , "unlimited world",...

First of all, i am writing this on my grandmothers behalf, she does not speak english and she is not very good with computers.
My grandmother saw an offer for unlimited free calls to the world, the first month was free and if she did not cancel her subscription within 27 days she would pay a monthly fee of around 10-12 Euro.
She thought that seemed to be a reasonable price and started an account. She got the comfirmation e-mail and tried to call her sister in Finland, but it did not work and it said she needed skype credit.
She sent an e-mail to you about this but did not even get an answer. It took me 5 minutes to find out that her account does not apply to mobile phones in Finland. My question is how hard can it be to reply to a customer in need. Where do i find the phone number to call you, if that is even possible, if not then start a phone support number in each of the countries you provide services and make it much easier to understand what i get access to with a certain subscription before i purchase it. Do you expect elderly people to be able to see what they are signing up for, when the headline is "Free Calls to the world unlimited", and the text that actually shows where it is free to call is tiny.
And it is not fair to have ads and offers in Swedish that people see and think "Let's try that" and when they need help with these services they are forced to be able to speak English. I live 2 hours away from my grandmother and she should not be forced to call me for help with something she is paying you guys for!
    Simon

    Hi Simon
Sorry to hear about the mobile calls to Finland ending up not a Skype included feature of "Unlimited World".
Only 8 countries are included in the Unlimited World subscription as you may now be aware.
If your Grandmother wishes to call Finland mobile phones on a regular basis, maybe a one country choice (Finland) subscription may be better?
Another suggestion, if your Grandmother only wants to make a seldom odd call to a Finland mobile (and if this idea is possible), she could make a free Skype to Skype call to a mobile, if the mobile user has a smartphone capable of running Skype?
Send a cheap text message to the mobile to tell them to turn on Skype, in the response message that their Skype is on, start calling Skype to Skype to their mobile? I use this method sometimes.
I also understand that most grandparents do not have good PC skills too.
    I hope this may help.

  • Forwarding to Skype using Unlimited World?

    Help please.
I urgently need to forward calls to my Android, to my desktop Skype. I am expecting a call about a job interview, but my phone is broken.
I just signed up for a trial of Unlimited World.
What are the exact steps I need to take to enable forwarding to Skype from mobile, considering that I am now using UW?

I have an unlimited World subscription but when I try to use my Skype to Go number to call my daughter in NZ, I get a message saying that I need to buy more Skype Credit?! This number worked fine before I had the subscription.
Is your daughter's phone a mobile phone?  If so, calls to mobiles in New Zealand are not covered by the Unlimited World subscription, and require Skype Credit.
The Unlimited World subscription covers calling to around 40 countries.  For most of those countries, it only covers calls to landline phones.  For a few countries, it also includes calling to mobile phones as well as landline phones.  Click on "Subscriptions" below, then look for the link showing the countries covered by the Unlimited World subscription.  It will break out the countries where calls to both landline and mobile phones are covered, and others where calls only to landline phones are covered.

  • Credit card funding my Unlimited World subscriptio...

I got notice from Skype that the "The credit/debit card Visa funding your Unlimited World subscription will expire soon. Please change your payment method." Actually, my new credit card has already been activiated and the new card number remains same as before. I tried to update my card information. But I was told “This card is being used to fund your Unlimited World 12 months. If you want to delete this card you have to cancel your subscription first.” This means half of the amount I already paid for Unlimited World subscription will be forced to be invalid. Please let me know what I can do for this. Thank you.
