Transferring from Vision:M to Comput

Sync in WMP0 seems to allow transfers to the ZVM, but not from it...
The Creative Sync Manager allows for transfers from the ZVM, but is very limited. Only being able to transfer entire genres, artists, or playlists.
Of course I used to be able to use the Browse Media option in the ZVM Media Explorer to cut or copy files from my ZVM to my computer. This no longer works
Instead of transferring the file as it should, I get a "Copying..." dialog box that just sits there for a second without any progress indicated. Then the dialog box disappears without an error and the file has not been transferred.
I can still delete, rename, and edit the track properties of files. I can create, rename, and delete folders. I can even copy files to the ZVM with no problems. Just transferring files to the Computer is broken.
I have already tried many fixes, reinstallations, and upgrades. Basically, I have exahsted my knowledge of what to do.
One additional thing of note, having to do with MediaMonkey. The cut and copy actions are blanked out, and when I try to drag a file onto my desktop I get the following error:
"Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk"

I had not tried those patches yet, and was therefore all the more crushed when they ultimately failed to effect even the slightest change.
If you have any other patch suggestions or likely solutions, I would be more then delighted to receive them.

Edit: The oddest bit of this whole mess, is the fact that the Creative Sync Manager is actually able to transfer files to my computer. Its only right that a proper problem should know it place and act in a uniform manner. Why does the Sync Manager alone work? I feel that if I just knew the answer, the problem would become obvious. Have you tried re-authorizing your computer?
Select the "Store" menu in iTunes (it's with the other tabs on the top of the iTunes window), and click on "Deauthorize computer" to deauthorize this computer.
Once you've deauthorized, go to the Store menu again, and now select "Authorize computer" to authorize this computer again.
After doing that, try syncing purchases to your iPod - do you still get the "now authorized" message?

Transferring from old to new computer

My computer recently got a virus that does not let me log on to the internet. I have since gotten a new computer. I was able to transfer my "purchased" songs that I had gotten from the iTunes store onto my new computer by following the online directions.
However, I could not transfer the rest of my playlist that I had uploaded from my cds. I would like to keep the current order of songs in my playlist and not have to reload all of the cds into my new computer and manually order the entire playlist again.
Can you please tell me how to do this. I have read a couple things that say I must be logged on to the internet on the old computer to transfer to the new computer but this is not possible because the old computer with the virus cannot connect to the internet. All help would be appreciated!!!

Using iTunes, syncing between a computer and an ipod is designed to work ONLY one-way, from the comp to the 'pod, and not the other way. There are free 3rd-party utilities designed to do this, Google "itunes alternatives" and you'll find many possible options.

I have all my apps and songs library on my work computer and having just had my home computer repaired I want to sync all my iphone contents to this computer. However everytime I go to the itunes it says it will erase contents off my iphone and replace with library which is empty. How can I get it to copy everything from my iphone to this new library. I have authorised this computer.
Please help. I would like to have this library as a backup to my work one.

Here is my problem. I was on vacation recently <Africa>, using my aunt's computer when we lost power during a complete i phone reload. i was able to get it to reload all of the data. But now that i am back home, on our computer, every time i try to reload the applications, it says that all previous applications will be erased. See i have over half of the applications cost money, and i do not want to pay more money to get these applications back. Can anyone help me. ??

This software is free and it is often recommended here. It can copy songs from an iPod independently of iTunes. However, a couple of people here have tried it in the last couple of days. It worked for one of them and not for the other two. I've never used it, so I can't help you beyond this.

TS1702 I'm at a dead end - developer not fixing the problem with downloading file transfers from QuickVoice to the computer. How do I report. I see the purchase history in itunes, but there is no place to report a problem.

QuickVoice does not auto transfer files to the computer. When contacting the developer they send you a lync to a transfer file. My anti-viral software says its infected with a Trojan Horse. QuickVoice says to ignore. I question this..... And AVG my anti-viral softward puts it in a vault and won't let you ignore. I have tons of voice recordings I need to get to my computer. In a bit of a issue here.. so i transferred my pictures off my iphone 5 onto my laptop and then transferred them onto a micro SD card but now that im trying to reopen my pictures to see them from the MicroSD my computer is telling me that photo gallery cant open the file.. but it is saved as a JPG File.. which should be opened with any windows software right?

So I had pictures in an album called photo library and when i backed up my iphone to my computer, the pictures disappeared from my phone. They were pictures that had originally been transferred from my blackberry to my iphone

The camera roll pictures are still there but my 800 photos from my blackberry are gone. does anyone know where i can recover them from? are they gone forever? any help would be much appreciated. thank you

I dunno if this information is useful but the photos im trying to recover were in an album called photo library and they were permanent and couldnt be edited or deleted on the iphone.
These photos were never on your Mac. iPhoto only imports from the Camera Roll. You'd have needed to use a 3rd party app to get any other photos from your phone.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You delete them the same way they got there, through the iTunes sync process. Deselect what you don't want on your phone under the photos tab, then hit the apply/sync button.

Svena1 yes please run the uninstallers to remove the software and reinstall the software. Which Adobe software or service are you trying to reinstall? Also which operating system are you using?

Did you click on the Firewire word? What do see to the right of it?
If you see something like the picture and nothing below the "Maximum speed" line, then the camera is not being "seen" by your mac. Otherwise a description of the camera should appear in the right pane.
