Transferring iphone photos to the pc

I NEED TO KNOW IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME , I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TRANFER PICTURES FROM MY I PHONE TO COMP AND HOW TO TRANSFER PICS OR MUSIC TO THE I PHONE, IF ANYBODY CAN HELP , PLEASE. THANKS

When I was using Vista for my iPhone, this is how it worked for me.
I opened up iTunes, then plugged in my phone. A pop-up screen came up and asked if I wanted to do something with my photos. I said yes, and then my photos were copied to my Photos folder. They remained on the iPhone.
After that was done my phone would show up in iTunes.

  • How to disable the message that pops up every time i connect my iphone "photos in the camera roll of iphone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode"?

Wrongly posted in iPhoto forum, should probably be posted here instead.
I want to remove the message that pops up every time i connect my IPhone that says: "Photos in the Camera Roll of "Name" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.".
This computer is not one that I want to import photos to (or sync with the iPhone), so this message is just very annoying, and it pops up all the time. I cannot find a way to disable this message. It is constantly appearing. No application is launching, I have turned off the iPhoto launch in the Image Capture app as well as in iPhoto. Thanks in advance if anyone has any information about this.

Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them.

  • When I tap a photo in my iPhone photo gallery, the photo appears but there is always a "this movie format not supported" alert and then the alert goes away and the photo appears. These are photos I've taken with the iPhone and aren't even movies.

It's very odd. I take photos with my iPhone and then later go to view the photos in the Photo Gallery on my iPhone. The photos to appear, but I keep getting "this movie format not supported" alerts, even though I am looking at photos taken by my iPhone. The alert appears briefly just after the photo appears and then the alert goes away and I can see the photo. They are just still photos and not movies. Why wouldn't the iPhone recognize the format of photos it is taking?

That thread helped for a time.  But now it seems as though my computer is back to slow again.  But, some of the jargon is over my head as well.  Not sure I knew quoite everything they were talking about.  But thanks a lot for that, it helped I probably just need to reread it and follow the instructions again.  Thanks so much.

  • Transferring "unoptimised" photos to the iPhone

I've recently bought an iPhone and because I work in graphic design, one of the main attractions was being able to sync my portfolio to a mobile device with a reasonable screen and have it with my on the go.
I imported my portfolio in to iPhoto and synced the appropriate album, but when iTunes goes to sync the photos it "optimises" them, reducing the resolution and quality of the image which renders them useless, for obvious reasons. Is it possible to modify or disable the optimisation process via iTunes or iPhoto to prevent this happening?

If you want to "pre-optimize" them yourself you might try creating copies and setting the resolution about 1600x1200 or 640x480. (It's debated what resolution iTunes optimizes them at.) I have some that I reduced to 1600x1200 and they appear to have been left alone and transferred as is. Another option is to turn them into PDFs and attach them to an email. The PDF resolution seems to be pretty good.
One issue is that the iPhone has to re-res images for display so they're not seen as full resolution. Therefore they aren't seen at that sharp one-to-one, screen-pixel per image-pixel resolution. If you're getting the idea of resizing photos for screen size, it's useless. The iphone actually optimizes and enlarges these images.

  • Transferring iphone photos

i cannot upload photos from my iphone to my iphotos on desktop.  running iphoto 11 version 9.2.3.  can anyone help?

i plug my phone into the computer , go to iphoto and ask it to import the photos.  it gives me the message that the files are unreadable, in an unrecognizable format.

  • Transfering iphone photos to my laptop

simple basic issue here. I have taken photos on my iphone, all stored in "camera roll" - now how do I transfer them to my laptop? Do I have to email them to myself? Or is there a simpler/faster way to sync?

If you have Windows, plugging in your iPhone makes another drive in Windows File Explorer (Windows-Key+E).
Just go there and look for a drive called Apple iPhone.
Optionally you can navigate to it from any picture viewer application, including Windows Image Viewer, because Windows simply treats the iPhone like a drive/folder.

  • Transferring iphone photos from folder onto computer?

Hey. Basically iCloud messed up for me. It didn't download all my videos to my new iPhone, because I didn't have enough storage or whatever.
I have multiple folders of photos on my iphone, and was wondering how do I move the photos from inside those folders to my computer? Or have I basicaly lost them forever? As its only on my iPhone 4 that they are located..

Importing personal photos and videos from iOS to a computer
iCloud Photo Stream does not sync/backup videos.

  • Transferring Iphone photos to Iphoto on laptop - small!

If I take a photo on my Iphone 4 - or if someone sends me a photo they took on their IPhone - and then I transfer it to my IPhoto on my MacBook Pro, it's very small - I can't enlarge it at all. Advice??

Not sure why they would be small.  However, any photo can be resized with a decent graphics program.  Try this one: http://www.lemkesoft.com/

  • I don't want my iPhone photos in the iCloud

    Good evening Gang,
I do not want every picture I take with my iPhone in the "iCloud" and automatically sent to my other devices. Is there a way to stop this madness?
    Thanks,
    James

If you can't figure out the passcode for restrictions then you might have to restore and setup the phone as new (without back up) to get rid of it.
Are there any features of the phone that are disabled? If you can do everything you need to do then don't sweat it.
If it's a work phone, they may set it up that way and you can't disable it.
If you have to restore then instructions are here (but it will wipe everything:)

  • Transferring iphone music to the new itunes library

I recently had to re-boot my computer, without saving any of my music onto a hardrive, however the music remains on my iphone. Does anyone know a way to get the music from my iphone to the newly installed itunes library? Thankyou

Lol ok first of all im completely hopeless at computers!
Basically my computer had a massive virus on it, so my brother (without telling me) did something to remove the virus, but with it, it deleted all of the data of the computer. So i had to download Itunes again. So you see no music had been saved on a different hardrive and the only music I do have is all on my iphone.
Thanks so much for responding so quickly!

  • Transfering Iphone photos to computer from Adobe Photoshop app

I cannot get the Adobe Photoshop app to show up in the apps I can transfer files from to my computer

I am trying to use these instructions from Apple Help
Transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer
Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and select your device.
    Click Apps.
Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select the app on your device that you want to transfer a file from.
From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click “Save to.”
In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Open.
The file is saved to the selected destination on your computer.

  • Get the Pictures off my iPhone Photo Library

I got a new Macbook from insurance after a break in, My backup was stolen as well. I've got all my pictures in my camera roll Photo Library, the only problem is how to I get them off and back into iphoto on the new mac, i've tried with the jailbreak app iFile and count's get them. There are a few paid programs that say they can do it but surly i don't have to go and pay over $40 just to do this.
Please note the pictures were synced into events and what not. this isn't the camera roll stuff.
    Any help
    Thanks
    Not_Sean

Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process is a one way transfer process only. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced on the iPhone, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
I'm not aware of any 3rd party apps or utiltities that are free which provide for transferring this data in the opposite direction, and the original resolution of these photos will be lost in the process.

  • HT2905 When i use itunes to transfer photos from my pc to my iphone it transfers two duplicate folders onto the phone. One called photo library the other the name of the folder i transfered. I dont want the photos on my phone twice

Hi. I hope someone can help.
I have just downloaded itunes onto my pc.
Firstly when my iphone is plugged in and i open itunes it does not have a picture/photo folder under my phone listing.
Secondly when i go to photos from the top of screen and tick sync. It asks me to select the folder i want to sync with phone which i do. I then press apply and it transfers all the photos from that folder to my phone BUT it does it twice! I end up with two folders with the same photos. One named as per folder on pc and the other named photo library. I am not able to delete either of them. If i go back to itunes and unsync it deletes them both.
I have been trying for hours now.
If i just try to do it from my pc ie right click and send to iphone it wont do it just says phone not responding or disconnected
    Any ideas?

You do NOT have duplicates.  This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in your Itunes Library and that exact same song can be accessed from a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos can be accessed from the album.

  • I transferred some photos from my iPhone onto iPhoto and then the remaining, untransferred photos on my iPhone were deleted? Help!

Hi, everyone! I don't know if this question has been answered, but I recently lost my photos on my iPhone.
My iPhone memory was full, so I decided to transfer some of the photos on my iPhone onto iPhoto to clear up some space. (In hindsight, I probably should have transferred all of the photos AND I should have backed up my photos on iTunes regularly). Anyway, after transferring some of the photos, I selected the "delete imported photos" option on iPhoto. After unplugging my iPhone from my laptop, my Camera Roll looked like this:
There were only about 5 photos left and these odd video icons that were inaccessible. I was only able to transfer photos from January to March 2013. I'm missing all of my photos from March to December 2013. I also checked the amount of space I had left on my iPhone, and the amount of free space I have now is a few gigabytes more than I had before the photos went missing, so I'm guessing my photos were deleted.
I tried to look for a solution online, and I didn't really find any threads that talked about this specific problem, but I tried the suggestion of one article (albeit the article wasn't exactly about this problem) to delete these three files from my PhotoData. It made the inaccessible video icons disappear, but my photos are still nowhere to be found.
Does anyone know why this could have happened or how I can retrieve my photos? Has anyone encountered this before and has found a solution? I would really like to retrieve my missing photos. Thank you!

probably a question for the iPhone forum  since restoring photos on the iPhone does not involve iPhoto at all
