Transferring music files to a SD card for my Android

I am unable to transfer music files onto a SD card I just bought. Is it something wrong with the card or can I reformat the card? It's very strange because I just bought the card and I've never had problems before. Any suggestions?

  • C5-03; how to view music files in the memory card ...

Is it possible to view the files in the memory card (using the File Manager) folder-wise? I have some music files in the memory card; in a folder named 'Music'.  When I go to Menu - Applications- Office- File mgr - E:Memory car-Music , I see the files in different collections corresponding to the artist/ genre names.  I don't see the folders I had created.  The artist/ genre (meta) data is not accurate and so the listing based on that is not useful.
This is related to the problem with Palylists I had posted earlier.

go to music player select options and refresh player this will pick up all the music
you will get a message on screen for example 40 songs added the go to music player select all songs
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Music files deleted from Memory Card..(5800XM)

    Hi..
I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Music files used to get deleted earlier automatically from the music player, but this problem stopped for a while. The other day, I transferred about 20 songs to my phone via Mass Storage mode through my PC. After a couple of days, all those 20 songs are missing from my music player. They've disappeared from the Memory Card as well, leaving behind only the folder in which they were.
Please help. This is REALLY annoying.

Yes, may be you are right. Something was wrong with my memory card and i figured out this morning. its an 8gb card out of which my personal data was about 4 gb. yet i could see that almost 7gb was used and only about  0.5gb was free. what i did was that i pulled all my data out of the  mem card and found that still 3gb was used up. hmmm...this was very weird. Not too sure but i guess it may be occupied by .arc files which are created when i do backup on the memory card. This was leaving very little space on my mem card , so whenever new data was added to the card, it was flushing out some existing data randomly (which is actually very sick!).
So, i removed all my personal data from card and then formatted it. Now my card is clean and has lot of free space. Hopefully the problem won't repeat anymore.
Its actually quite annoying that data is deleted randomly without prompting that disk has run out space. quite weird actually.
    List of Nokia phones I've used: 3310, 3315, 3200, 6600,3250, N73 ME, N95 8GB, 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia X6 16 GB (currently using this).

  • How do i transfer music files from an sd card to a late 2008 model Macbook Pro?

The android phone I have is really messed up and I can't plug it in with a USB cable to transfer the music files so is there anyway I can transfer them with just the sd card? I know on the newer models there's a slot for the sd card adapter but it's not on my model. Any help?

If is a MicroSD card you'll need a MicroSD to SD card adapter. Something like this.
Once you have one of those just insert it into the SD card slot on your Mac then open a Finder window and select all the images and press Command + c to copy then go to the folder you want to put them in and select it and press Command + v to paste to that folder.

  • Zen Touch 40 GB: problems transferring music files and playli

    Hi,
Creative Zen Touch 40 GB, one year old<
    [color="#330000">PlaysForSure Firmware 2..0<
    Creative MediaSource Organizer 5.0.38<
    Creative?Sync Manager 5.0.9.0<
    Windows XP Service Pack 2<
527?music (.wma) files on the player; 4205 MB of free space<
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to?transfer music files and playlists to my Zen Touch player now that the amount of free space on it has fallen below 5 GB. More often than not, it's necessary to put the player into Recovery mode, perform a clean-up, and then reboot and rebuild the library before Sync Manager works properly. I often need to repeat this process several times before I can transfer anything. Increasingly, too, Windows fails to detect the presence of the player when I connect it to my computer. Rebooting both the player and the computer usually fixes this issue. Transferring files by dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer is obviously much quicker than using Sync Manager, but here again I keep running into problems. It's as if the player freezes and refuses to take on-board any more files. Also, I can't find a way to transfer playlists except with Sync Manager. Are these known problems? I recalling running into similar issues with the Zen Touch 20 GB a few years ago. And could the fact that I'm doggedly using an old (998) and underpowered computer be an issue? I'm thinking of replacing the computer anyway, but is it likely that these synchronization problems would diminish or disappear altogether if I were to upgrade to something speedier? Thanks for any insights,Pete

I too have a simular problems! Managing music is the biggest problem with over 0 Gigs. Some artists songs sometimes change name titles, artists,?and etc. Win Explorer is most used by me now. Yes, I do lose sync from time to time! Especially when I open two windows on the portable zen. There are two tools that need. . Playlist management - it takes too long to do it on the player. I want to create "Gym Vibes" and had it on my old creative?Nomad player, but couldn't transfer. "Creative Sync Manager" doesn't do it!?Without all that sync stuff how can I create and edit creative's playlist on a PC?2. A method for detecting dupicates? This is my second creative portable and if I don't get the tools I won't buy another!

  • Transferring music/files from Iphone 3gs to new computer

    Hi
I have previously transferred music form my ipod to an old laptop, both have since broken or been updated.... so lost the info for the website yamipod...I have had a look to help move everything but for some reason it doesn't work on my computer!! Wrong file and I tried installing two of three recommnded programs (FinalTorrent was one) it still wont let me do it....
I also checked out (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1202) but it doesnt give me the options as shown on screen...
I don't know if I'm being thick (pregnancy brain!!) or not but i really need easy to follow help to save my music on my iphone!
    Thanks Jules

    Hi Jules,
You must use iTunes software only for syncing music to your iPhone. Yamipod is a third party iPod manager not supported by iTunes.
Since iTunes is dependent on your internet connection, I doubt that FinalTorrent will work.
Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for an iPhone 3GS.
    iPhone 3GS Tech Specs
    Windows system requirements
    PC with USB 2.0 port
Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 9.2 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
    iTunes Store account
    Internet access

  • Transferring Music Files

I have been trying to transfer all my music files for the longest time. I have two mac's, Macbook Pro and the iMac. All my music is on my Macbook Pro and I want to get the same music on the iMac. I have tried a few things. Transferring all music to an external hard drive, connecting the Macbook pro to the iMac firewire, and the new home sharing. Each way I have tried is very much unsuccessful. Most of my music comes from CD's that I bought, and very little from the iTunes store. Every time I try to transfer the music only just over 500 will transfer, and I have 5,000. I've tried bulk and section and everything else. I haven't had a problem with transferring music until I put it on the Macbook pro.
    What can I do?

Can you give a little more detail (step by step). I have done this a lot and have had very little problems.

  • Not being able to move some music files over to the card

Ive been downloading like crazy. I have havent had any problems downloading any music files or even dvd files. I have run into one problem tho, my old Beatle cd's. They won't transfer for on my card. I can see them when I open the TCPMP player but there's no songs and I do see them loading to move them on the card but they won't go? Any answer's?

What format are these files in? You need to have the appropriate player with appropriate codecs installed.
If you ripped the CDs on a Windows computer and did not pay careful attention, Windows Media Center defaults to WMA. PocketTunes Deluxe plays WMA. The TX comes with a variant of PocketTunes standard.

  • Z30 - Music & Neutron App do not see music files in micro SDXC card now and then

I have my Z30 about a week now. So far so good. This morning, all of a sudden the native Music & Neutron App do not see the music files on the 64 GB micro SDXC card. The files are there when I checked with file management. I restarted a few times and the problem went away. I like to know if any one of you out there encountered this problem and how do you resolve it.
    Thanks.

  • How do I setup music files on a shared drive for access on my apple tv

I am trying to set up music files on my shared wifi drive on my home network for accessability through the computer icon of my apple tv.....can someone tell me how to set up the files on the shared drive....right now, the apple tv will not recognize the music i have there to play it.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can put your music anywhere, but it must be part of an iTunes library and iTunes needs to be running for the Apple TV to play it.

  • No content in music file, can't sync ipod for numerous errors-HELP

couple of days ago I tried to add some more songs on my ipod touch and it didn't work.  For weeks it has been asking me to update my software but I can't because the error message says not enough space on MacBook's hard drive.
now I have disconnected the ipod touch from the computer and on the ipod there is no content on the music file.  But when the ipod is plugged into the MacBook in itunes it shows there is content, all my files are there and I can play them though itunes.
so I deleted tons of files on MacBook and deleted some songs on the ipod so I would have room to back up, but it still won't work.
I also get an error message and when I looked it up it has to do with voice memos- which I have none on the ipod. (13019)
What can I do to fix this problem? I know the music is there I just can't find it.
    HELP
    thanks

OK guys...no need to reply....I am resigned to never getting to the bottom of the syncing problem....I just go from 13109 to other error codes, downloading little umbrellas, putting th eipod in DWI mode (or something like that), restoring, getting anew error code, not being able to download updates etc. etc. - so I lost my patience with sitting in front of my computer trying to fix something I paid nearly usd 800 for (in my opinion the manufacturer should make it properly in the first place, or warn you about its faults before you buy)............
I synced my iPod to the computer, lost all my content ans restored only witrh what I had on this computer's iTunes - thus losing the countless CDs and vinyl I had converted to digital on my other ocmputer at home in Mozambique, which my current iTunes says it can't locate.
Am I really the only person who prefers to listen to music instead of spending hours and hours on the computer trying to fix this useless machne?
I wish I had never wasted my money on this thing. I guess it's just inappropriate and too sophisticated for where I live and for my simple needs (wi-fi and music only).
Very big thumbs down from this novice for the iPod Touch and for the iTunes way of doing things in general.......

  • 5800 xpressmusic - transfering music files to pho...

I can transfer files from my phone to my PC, but whenever I try to transer files from my PC to my phone, or direct from CD to my phone, all I get from Nokia Music is an error message "Transfer completed with x errors", where x is the number of .mp3 tracks I was trying to transfer. I have updated the software versions.
    Any tips please ?

[Edit] Does "Failed to get WPD parent object" mean anything to anyone?
When I'm in Media Transfer Mode, OVI wants me to change to PC Suite mode, but when I change to PC Suite mode, I have no connection to PC.[/Edit]

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

if the software is causing you such pain, just copy the music files via USB, selecting Mass Storage mode when you connect the phone to your computer. All the ID3 tag information will be retained, all you have to do when finished transferring is go into the Music Player and select Refresh. Much easier, and much faster

  • Need help transferring Music Files & Playlist from Mac Book to iMAC

I am having difficulty transferring my music files and playlists from my Macbook to my iMAC. All of the music goes over well but the playlists, comments and ratings do not. Any assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Copy the entire \Music\iTunes\ folder from your MacBook to your iMac.
The link posted by WoggleDog deals only with moving the iTunes music folder on one computer to a different location to use on that same computer.

  • Help required - transfering music files

    Can anyone help?
I had about 1000 songs on my laptop which I put onto my ipod - the transfer method was via real player. The transfer appeared succesful and the music is on my ipod.
However I cant play it - and now I've deleted it from my hard drive.....the music only exists in a kind of invisible iPOD file.
I need to take the music off my ipod (I can play it on my computer when my iPOD is connected) and put them back onto my hard drive and this time use iTUNES to transfer my music......*but is there anyway of putting my music back onto my hard drive?*

*is there anyway of putting my music back onto my hard drive?*
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
