Transferring music from my iphone to another iphone

I was wondering how to transfer music and ringtones from my iphone to my friends iphone or if this was even possibe? Could somebody help me out with this and let me know what i would need to do.
Thanks

Your friend would need to sync their iPhone with the iTunes library on your computer. After doing so, your friend would not be able to sync his/her iPhone with the iTunes library on his/her computer or on someone else's computer without all iTunes content being erased from the iPhone first.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only.
I don't believe the music labels would be too happy with Apple if they allowed iPhone owners to share their music with other iTunes owners. With a Zune this is possible, but a song transferred to another Zune via bluetooth has a limited number of plays before the song must be purchased by the person who received it from another Zune.

  • Transferring music from one account to another

I wanted to know if there is any way I can transfer music from one account to another account, my music library has over 1000 songs and i do not want to download them again, is there a way? THANKS!

Below is the information on how to take the music and transfer it to another machine that will be using the same apple ID.
But as stated earlier there is no way to transfer music to a brand new Apple ID without having to purchase it again as all music is tied into the Apple ID used at time of purchase.

  • Transferring music from ine iPod to another  iPod

how do I transfer music from 1 iPod to another iPod. I have both iPods open and when i try to drag the music over i get a circle with a slash thru it. it won't let me do it. If you can help please email me at [email protected] and in the subject line put IPOD help

If your iTunes library has all the songs that are on your old iPod, then just plug the new one in and iTunes will ask if you want to change the link; click yes and your songs will transfer. It's next to impossible to do it the way you're describing.

  • Transferring music from ipod/iphone to itunes

I recently had to replace my old hard drive.  I have a new one, but when I try to sync my ipod/iphone, it tells me I can't because it's synced with the old one.  How can I transfer my music/pics etc from my ipod/iphone to itunes on my new hard drive?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

  • Transferring music from old iphone to new iphone without primary synced laptop

i have an iphone 5 that was synced to a laptop i no longer have, i now have a new iphone is there any way to get my music from my first phone to a new laptop to then put on my new phone? please help i have all the apps and photos and contacts transferred but i cant get my music back

Try a synch with iTunes on your computer again.  This time, while the iPhone 5 is plugged in, click on its icon on the left, then the "Music" tab on the right.  Choose the correct music sync option (to sync music and playlists).  Then clock "Apply" in the lower right.

  • Transfering music from 1 ipod to another?

i currently have a 4gen ipod nano. and im thinking of getting a touch. but i want just to transfer my music to the new ipod is this even possible?

You can't transfer directly from one iPod to another. If the songs you had on your previous iPod are still in iTunes they will load onto your new one. You just need to connect your new iPod and follow the on screen instructions to register and name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation.
If the songs on the Nano are not in your library you need to copy them back to iTunes and add them to the new iPod from there.
iTunes will only let you copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchased songs and in some cases, videos and games) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

  • Transferring music from one iMac to another...

I have a lot of music in my older iMac G5 and want to transfer some of it into my newer 27" iMac but none of the prompts they say should be there show up - both units have share turned on but nothing happens - is there a simple way, outside of burning my entire playlist 1 CD at a time and then manually loading each Cd into the new unit?  Seems like this should be as simple as loading tunes into an iPod.

  • Transferring  music from one iPod to another

I recently purchased a new version of the iPod touch. ( iPod 5?) The music from the older touch will not transfer to the newer version.  All music is currently stored on the iPod, not the computer. Sorry if this sounds mind boggling, but how do I get the music onto the computer to then put it onto a flashdrive to transfer to another iTunes account and another iPod? I'm not sure if it is even possible due to legal issues with concerns for people selling music, but are there any options?  (iOS 4.2.1)

  • Transferring music from one account to another on the same computer

Set up a second itunes account on a different computer user. How do I transfer the music from the original account to the second account?

All of the files should be stored on the hard drive and accessible from either account so long as you made the new account an administrator account. You would just need to navigate to wherever you have the music stored on your hard drive.
File > Add Folder to Library
Then select the folder, wherever it may be stored on your hard drive.

  • Using iPod as mass storage device/transferring music from 1 computer to another.

Hi there I was following the steps provided by apple on how to use my ipod to transfer all my music from my old computers library to the one on my new computer.
I was up to the step of consolidating files but the error message "Copying Files Failed. The file name was invalid or too long" stops me from doing this process.
I have no idea what this means or how I can fix it, would anyonen please be able to help me with this problem so I can continue with the process?
Thankyou in advance for your help!

If the path to a file is too long for iTunes, you get this message. Unfortunately the limit of iTunes is less than allowed in Windows.
iTunes fix claims to be able to deal with this, but I haven't tried it myself:

(I am trying out two diffent ways of giving a link. Hopefully they will both point at the same place.)

  • Transferring music from iPod/iPhone to a new account.

I am getting a divorce and my spouse will create a new iTunes account for himself.  Will all the music on his iPod transfer into his new account or will he have to replace all the music beacuse he will be connecting his device to a new account?

iTunes content can't be transferred. if you are keeping the original account, you will keep the content not him. As with a vehicle, a dog or a house, a financial consideration needs to be made for items that cannot be split 2 ways, mention it to your lawyer.

  • Transferring music from one computer to another

I'm transferring my music off of one computer to another using my new 30G ipod - and have followed instructions online - my ipod has been doign something and is saying do not disconnect for about over an hour - does anyone know if that is normal when making your ipod a hard drive? Thanks.

Your iPod has disk use enabled, so you must eject it otherwise that message will continue to appear.
You can do this by clicking on the little eject icon next to the iPod listing in the source window of iTunes, or right click on it and select “eject”. There is also an iPod 'eject' icon in the lower right hand corner of iTunes. Another way would be to use the “safely remove hardware” icon in the system tray next to the clock (looks like a grey rectangle with a green arrow above it). Click on this then select your iPod. Or through Windows, select start/my computer, right click on the iPod, select eject.
