Transferring music from QuikVoice Pro on Apple Ipod to PC

My wife has asked me to transfer a particular music track from her ipod to her PC. No problem, I thought. I'll do what I usually do and go through iTunes. All going well- but.. the track was recorded in QuickVoice Pro and I can't find it anywhere on iTunes!! My take is that it's simply a music file. somewhere on the ipod and no different therefore to any other music file? Can anyone help??

    Hey lightc,
If you are having an issue with iTunes not recognizing your iPad and iPod on your Windows computer, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

    Hello lisascrackberry,
We can get very detailed in how to complete this action but simply:
    1) Connect PlayBook to Computer
    2) Extract Music from the PlayBook using BlackBerry Desktop Software or Windows Explorer to your Computer
    3) Upload Music Files to iTunes Libary
    4) Sync them to your iPod.

  • Unable to transfer music from MacBook Pro iTunes to iPod iTunes

After syncing my iPod to my computer through iTunes, I have always had my music transfer over without any problems.  Yet this time, after trying to transfer all the songs from my computer to my iPod (which was just a single album), it did not work, meaning I couldn't locate the album anywhere in my iPod.  It might be because I downloaded the album on my iPhone, then synced it to my computer (which was successful), and that could be part of the problem, but I'm not sure.

I figured it out! Here's what I did:
    1. Hook up your iPod to your computer using an HDMI cable (the same way you would when syncing your music)
    2. In your iTunes library, locate the album that you would like to transfer, then click on it.
    3. When you see the black box open with all of the album's songs in it, you will also see a PLAY button, a SHUFFLE button, and an arrow in a circle button next to the title of the album. Click the arrow in the circle button (I don't know what else to call it)
    4. Click ADD TO, then select the device you would like to add the album to, or the playlist you would like to add it to.
    5. Your iTunes will then process the data (transfer the album) from your iTunes library to your iPod.
HOPE THIS HELPS TO ALL THOSE IN NEED!!!

  • Transferring Music from Shared Administrator to my iPod

All of my music is going into a Shared Folder called HP_Administrator's Limewire Tunes. This music does not sync with my iPOD. How do I get the music onto my iPod?

    Welcome to the discussions!
There are several ways, but you can just use your iPod to do it as shown HERE.
You also drag it over using your network if your Mac and PC are set up for file sharing.

  • Transfering music from pc to mac using iPod as a hard disk drive

I just got MacBook Pro and iPod which I have formatted for a mac, however, I want to get the songs from my IBM thinkpad to my mac. I transfered a bunch of them with a friends external hard drive, but forgot about all my purchused songs from the music store. I am pretty sure there is a way to use the iPod as a hard disk drive but everytime i attach it to my thinkpad it asks if I want to format the iPod and then won't transfer. So I guess my question is can I do this and if I can do I have to format it to windows and then transfer the files to the iPod and will I be able to put the files from my thinkpad to my mac?
    thanks!!!

An iPod formatted for Mac won't run natively on a PC because the Windows OS does not support the HFS Plus file system and therefore will not see the drive. You can reformat your iPod on Windows if you want to use it on both platforms as Macs can read Windows formatting, then you could enable it for disk use on the PC: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

  • Problems transfering music from external hard drive to ipod.

When I plug both ipod and external hard driver (WD 1600B014) into my Gateway laptop, only 1 device will work at a time with the other saying "usb device not recognised". This means I am unable to copy selected itunes songs onto my ipod.
This is driving me insane as I have 60gb of music on my hard drive which I want to chop and change frequently.
I have tried all manner of solutions including buying a powered usb hub (belkin) and starting a clean sheet with my laptop, installing all manner of new drivers for the usb ports.
I have the same problem with my 5G ipod 40gb.
I have tried the same problem on my dads desktop computer and the same problem arrises.
Does anyone have any answers as this has been driving me mad for ages and ages.
Is this a common thing or is it a problem with Western digital hard drives (although i thought they were a pretty big brand).
Any help would really be appreciated.

if I want to copy all those song files onto my iPod, they have to be copied into itunes first, and there's not nearly enough space on my desktop for that.
No, you don't have to copy the tracks to your internal hard drive. Just turn off the "copy music to iTunes Music Folder when adding" option in the iTunes Advanced preferences. Then use the "Add To Library" menu command and select the appropriate folder(s) on your external drive. iTunes will add the tracks to the Library but not move them to the internal drive.
Once that's done, use iTunes to transfer the music to the iPod. You can then, if iTunes is set for manual synchronization, remove the tracks from the Library if you want to remove the reference to the external drive.

  • Problems Transfering Music From I-Tunes Library to IPOD

I recently purchased the IPod 30 GB. I have an extensive Music CD collection and copied many songs from those CD's to the ITunes Library. When I attempt to sync the songs to my IPod I get a message saying that many of songs could not be found. This results in those songs not being copied to my IPod. This seems to be the case with approximately about 50 percent of the songs.
The songs could be played through the ITunes library just fine until I attempted to copy them to my IPod. After that, the songs that could not be found appeared with an exclamation point next to them and when I attempted to do anything with the songs I got a message that said "The song "name of the song" could not be used because the original file could not be found".
When I looked up the info on the files that copied over to the IPod and those that did not the only differences were as follows:
The files that copied were listed as AAC Audio Files. Those that did not were listed as MPEG Audio Files. In addition, there was no information in the "Where" box for those that did not copy over.
    HELP!!!!

The ! next to the songs can mean several things. The files have been moved from the iTunes music folder, or deleted from your computer entirely. Or the song files have been renamed/edited or otherwise changed by some method other than iTunes. In any event, iTunes has lost track of these song files.
You can use Explorer to search your computer for missing songs.
On the Start menu, click "Search".
    Select "All Files and folders".
In the "All or part of the file name" field, type the song name and then click "Search".
If you see the file you are looking for in the Search Results window, you can add it back into your iTunes library.
See: How to add songs from your hard drive to iTunes.
" there was no information in the "Where" box"
What is this "where box" you refer to?

  • HT1351 I can no longer transfer music from my laptop to my ipod nano

I have an ipod nano 6th generation and I have never had any trouble transferring music from my computer to my ipod. Recently when I try to transfer music nothing happens. The added music files do not show up in recently added. Can anyone help me with this issue?

    Try
    - Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, that may not work and you will have to wait for an iPod or iTunes update.

  • Transferring music from old computer using ipod

I recently transferred music from my old computer to my new computer using my ipod by following the directions in apple support (article 300173.) I already had music in itunes on my new computer when I added the music from my old computer. Now all the music that I had loaded prior to the transfer comes up with a message "original file could not be found." Have I lost this music for good?
    MacBook Mac OS X (10.4.9)
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

If you dragged the file called 'iTunes' in to the music folder in the finder and it asked 'do you wish to overite' then it has probably overwritten the folder tha t already existed
    (with the new music in).
If you haven't emptied you trash it might be in there, but don't click retore the trash just drag the folder onto the desktop.
    Hope this helps.

  • Transferring music from ipod/iphone to itunes

I recently had to replace my old hard drive.  I have a new one, but when I try to sync my ipod/iphone, it tells me I can't because it's synced with the old one.  How can I transfer my music/pics etc from my ipod/iphone to itunes on my new hard drive?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:
