Transferring My Verizon Number To ATT? (Any Trouble or Charges?)

I just got the iphone and wish to keep my Verizon cell phone number.
Does anyone know if this is any hassle and if any charges apply for this?
Its late at night right now and can't activate the iPhone yet, i'm assuming I go do it at the ATT store right?

Can't help you with transferring your number from verizon to AT&T, as I'm in the UK, but believe this is possible if verizon send you a PAC, which you'll need when activating your iPhone. When you do this, and *you have to do this yourself at home on your PC/Mac in iTunes*, not at the AT&T store, you'll be asked if you want to keep your existing number, so just type yes here, and have your PAC ready.

I've transferred my old number by PAT code to my new iphone and most of the time it works fine however there are problems when replying to tests and using Facetime when the original sim muber is displayed. My frined can text me on my correct number but if I reply she receives it from the different number. Also when using Facetime the number displayed is the one the came with the iphone. Anyone know what to do to get the number id correct?

I switched from Verizon to AT&T 3-4 months prior to the iPhone's release. I had a year remaining on my contract at the time but Verizon released me from my contract without charging me the $175 early contract termination fee due to poor reception issues at my house. Verizon wasn't obligated to do so since no cellular provider is responsible for reception inside the walls of your residence or within any building but since I use my personal cell phone in place of a landline at home and I had been a Verizon subscriber since the summer of 2001, they granted me an exception but doing so is the exception rather then the rule.
If you remain under contract with Verizon and port your Verizon number over to AT&T, this will cancel your contract and Verizon charges a $175 early contract termination fee.
How many months do you have remaining on your contract? If less than 6 months or so, you can get a new phone number with AT&T for an iPhone and keep your Verizon contract and phone number. When your contract with Verizon expires, you can call AT&T to have your Verizon number ported/transferred to your iPhone replacing the new number acquired with AT&T for the iPhone. There is no charge for this and the number porting process by AT&T will cancel your service with Verizon automatically. Verizon will send your final bill after your Verizon number is activated with the iPhone.
Or you must wait until your contract with Verizon expires.

Ok, I have been on the phone twice now with customer support, all I want is an alert sent to my IPad for data usages !
I want an alert sent to my iPad, or my phone, they can not, or will not do it? My phone is through at&t, Verizon will not except any phone number that is not a Verizon! WHY? my iPad is through Verizon, I know they can send alerts to the iPad, because they did it, they sent me a new password through an alert? I went over on my data plan because I did not get the alert in time, it was sent through email, a day late! Also, i asked about being able to serf the Internet and talk on the phone on Verizon, I was told that only 4G devices are capable, Wow,! I have been able to to this with my AT&T iPhone 3Gs from day one. I am now rethinking if I want to switch to Verizon? Is AT&T really that much more advanced?

Only on the ipad 2 has the reminders i was told. Can u get my verizon app in the apple market? I did that for the iphone4 verizon. U can always sign in my verizon on ur ipad. Even if u switch to get a phone with verizon the ipad is on a different #.

Greetings to all. I am facing one issue related to shipment creation by using bapi_shipment_create. Really i am struglling with this issue. I was not getting any proper solution even i did search with the key words in sap web sites. My issue is i am creating delivery based on PO and shipment based on that delivery. While creation of delivery it is throwing me 2 errors in return are

This error Delivery XXXXXXX not relevant for shipment. is clearly saying this delivery is not correct type. Probably u have to create shipment for some other delivery type. What is the delivery type for this delivery???
U can try with a stock transfer order delivery(Me21N(STO), VL10H(Delivery).)

Any trouble with Mavericks installation?

I too have upgraded four of my Macs to Mavericks and had no problems at all with any of them. One of the flaws of discussion groups is that one gets a skewed idea of the number of problems that users have because it is human nature to complain about something, whilst the majority of users who don't have a problem seldom bother to remark on this fact!
I, like most of the successful upgraders here, always follow a simple routine that involves firstly backing up, then (if upgrading multiple Macs) creating a bootable drive with the updater on, using Disk Utility or similar to repair permissions before upgrading the OS. I never use the Mac when upgrading and close all the programs and disconnect all external drives, save for the one with the updater on.
Following this routine means that I have never had a problem with an update since OS 7.5 on any of my 16 odd Macs. Of course, smugness always comes before a fall...!

Is it possible to port a number out and port a number in without any disconnection?

I have a second line for a family member and they will no longer be on my plan. The issue is they would like to port their number but I am still under contract with that number. I'm having someone else take over the line. My question is it possible to have the Verizon number ported out and then have a new number ported in? I'm not trying to have the line disconnected as someone else will be using the line and would also like to have their number ported in.

Lets get these numbers ported in and out! I am sorry but if you are going to port a number out the line will be disconnected. As the port process is completely taking the number from VZW to another company it is necessary for the line to disconnect for the port process to complete. If you would like to just port the number in and have it take over the line that is currently in contract you can do that. Let us know if you have any further questions.

I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.

Hi Shabbirmdpasha,
If you know the user name then you can find the idoc numbers created by that user. But the problem here is it not only gives the material it gives all the idocs created by that user. Go to SE16 --> table name EDIDS --> here you can fill the approximate date and in UNAME give the userid and execute. This will give all the idocs created by that user. I know it is only a partial solution.
