Transferring Photos to an external hard drive. I Copied all the pictures from a folder in iPhoto and Pasted on the Hard Drive. However, only about 50% were Pasted. It will not let me Copy
I am trying to Transfer my Photos to an External Hard drive as a Back Up. Since I want to be able to Transfer them to a Windows based computer if necassary, I did not use the Automatic Mac Backup program.
To Transfer them. I Copy all the Pictures in a folder in IPhoto, then Paste them in a Folder of the same name, which I have created on the External Hard Drive. It will Paste about 50% of the Photos. Then, when I try to go back and Copy and Paste the rest, it acts like it has already done that. HELP!!!
By default, iPhoto keeps pictures in a special library which isn't user friendly - but is effective for the program. The best way to move pictures from iPhoto is to export them from the iPhoto program.
Start up iPhoto and select all the photos you want to move to your external drive. Go to the File Menu and select Export... For size choose original and then select the external drive as the destination. (It would be good to create a folder for the photos first.)
Since export doesn't create folders and you may want the photos organized, you can select one event or one album at a time and export each separately, putting them into separate folders on the external.

According to the specifications for the 4620, it should support scanning up to 8.5X14 using the Automatic Document Feeder. You did not mention the OS you are operating with, so I will direct you to a link on the 4620 support page on HP.com. Hopefully this will help you with your problem.

Safari will not let me copy and paste. I can still do it if I use Firefax as my browser.
Please enable guest logins and log in as Guest. Launch Safari and test. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and disable it if you wish.

I plugged in my phone to my macbook to transfer images. I pulled ou the usb cord without ejecting it properly and all the pictures from my phone got deleted and didint get transfered. Is there any way I can recover my photos They are really important.

From what you're describing appears to be Activation Lock, a security measure provided by Apple that makes it harder for people to use a lost or stolen device. You will need to enter the password for the Apple ID the device is prompting you for.

I can no longer use Macmail for my btinternet account. I was advised to delete the imap account and begin again with a pop account for incoming mail. My Macbook will not let me do that and neither BT nor Yahoo have been able to help.

Illustrator will not let me copy in a screenshot on my mac

Illustrator CS6 and CC2014 work fine with png's dragged to AI.
Did you Quit and re-open Illustrator? Or reset the preferences file? -

This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. What do you mean by 'size'? Do you mean file size? Or the dimensions of the photo (length by breadth)?
You can compare simply by exporting the original out of iPhoto
File -> Export, and set the kind to Original
