Hello Markus,
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Hmmm... a few things you can do:
Make sure the photos are in a compatible format:

Do you have the latest version of iTunes?

Instead of the nano video tutorial, maybe this article may help:

No. But you can take a photo of the video with your Mac.
With the iPod connected to your computer, click on the iPod, open the DCIM folder & move the video file onto your desktop. Play the video & when you get to the part you want to take a picture of, put Quicktime on pause. Take a screen shot (appleshift3) or (appleshift4 for cross hair cropping) of the paused video.

  • How do I delete photos from the iPod???

I had no problem loading photos on my nano but cannot figure out how to delete them. Everytime I connect the iPod to the computer now, I get a message, "iTunes cannot copy photos to the iPod because all of the albums selected for copying no longer exist." However, those albums do exist. Any suggestions for how to deal with this and ultimately delete photos?

    Lori,
I just got my nano a few days ago, and have been learning more about it. I had the same question you have, but I think I now know the answer.
You can NOT delete specific photos from the iPod. You will need to delete ALL of them and re-synch a folder that has ONLY the photos that you want to display on the Nano.
To do, this go back to Edit->Preferences->iPod->Photos and deselect "Synchronize photos..."
    That will remove ALL photos.
Then you will need to create a folder specifically for the iPod. Put only those photos you want for the Nano into that new folder. Then when you Synchronize the next time, you will select "Copy selected folders only:"
If anyone knows different, let me know. I'm relatively new with Ipods.

  • I can't tranfer photos to my ipod nano

    Hi everyone,
I have an 1G ipod nano and i can't transfer any photos to the ipod. iTunes always sais that there are not room for the photos even if I try to copy a single picture (50KB) and I see that the ipod have 47 MB free. No problems whit the music anyway..and this is happening before iTunes 7.
    thanks in advance.

Have you tried restoring your iPod? This is probably just a minor glitch, in which iTunes/iPod reads that more is used, when it really isn't.
A restore would fix an issue like that. Restoring deletes all the content off your iPod; read more here -> Restoring your iPod
I hope this might solve your issue,

  • Synching photos issues on ipod nano 7th generation

I have a windows 7 64 bits PC. In the PC I created a folder with 4 .jpg photos. Using the iTunes I tried to synch tose photos with my iPod nano. I got 0 photos on the iPod. I already updated the itunes and iPhone software to the latest versions. The issue was not solved.

Before you sync, go to "music" in ipod menu (in Itunes) and select "sync photos". This is not selected by default. Select accordingly (same with music, podcast, etc.) then perform the sync again. Cheers!

i accidently deleted itunes on my pc!!!  i still have all my music and photos on my ipod nano 6th gen,,,is it possible to transfer content from my nano back onto my pc???

No, unless the songs were purchased from iTunes. In that case, you Transfer Purchases to computer iTunes.
Otherwise, what you need is a 3rd party tool:

    Hello Battouty,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Does anyone know if the IPOD Nano touch 6th Generation have videos+syncing?
No, you cannot sync videos to the 6G Nano.
For help on syncing all other types of content, see the iPod's *User Guide*. It should be able to answer most of your questions.

  • How to put photos in to Ipod Nano

How can i put any images to my Ipod Nano?
Do i need to buy any additional software?
    Can anyone please help me?

    This is what I do:
Right click on the iPod nano icon in iTunes.
Click on the iPod options from the drop down list.
A Window will appear with several tabs.
At this point it is intuitive.
    ..."Sychonize photos from"...
You don't need any Adobe software, as you can upload
photos from My Pictures in your My Documents folder.
Another way to get this information is read the documentation that Apple supplies.

  • Putting Photos IN the iPod

Im trying to actually get the photos in the ipod and i really dont know where to start. I searched all over the forums for any tips but i cant find anything
    Help!

Have a look at the tutorial, it's slightly outdated as it describes iTunes 6 but the principle is the same with 7 : Transferring Pictures to Your iPod
You can also read a bit more here: iTunes and iPod: Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Photo Sync
Once you've had a look at that a good tip to prevent all your photos going on the iPod create an album in iPhoto called "iPod Photos" or something similar. Under the photo preferences for the iPod, point iTunes to "copy from selected albums only" and update from there. If you keep a dedicated album like this, you won't need to edit your normal iPhoto collection just for the iPod and you can add and remove picture from it whenever you need to.

  • How can I transfer photos on my iPod Nano imported from a previous PC to my new Macbook

    Hi all,
Wonder if you can help. I have photos which were copied to an Ipod Nano using Itunes on a PC Laptop. The hard drive on the PC is dead and I have now purchased a Macbook. How can I transfer these photos to my new Macbook please.
I have tried opening Itunes with the Ipod Nano connected and then checking the box "enable disk use". Then opening Iphoto and Image Capture to import the photos but none of these seem work.
Could the fact that the photos were originally on a PC using Itunes to the Ipod Nano be the reason? I am at a loss!
Mac OS, Itunes and Ipod software is all up to date.

The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos.  So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

  • Is There a Way to Load Photos onto an iPod Nano

I'm a Windows user who bought an iPod Nano for Music and Photos. Since there is no iPhoto for Windows, and maybe never will, is there another way to do it? If I knew the file format for photos maybe I could find a way to load them. Otherwise, I wasted my money buying a iPod Nano. My huge company is PC committed. We have no Apple computers. I don't see this type of PC community using Apples and using work PCs just to get photos. That's to much to keep up with. I'm already having problems keeping up with Unix, Linux, Windows plus mainframe O/S's.
Maybe someone will invent a PcPod for Windows that fits in my ear.

I think most Apple users will ignore your question. First of all, I suggest you read the documentation. If you choose not to; rely on that all powerful two button mouse (Apple users are only now beginning to recognize the advantages of this type of device; and Intel chips).
    right click on the iPod nano icon in iTunes;
    select iPod options;
    click the photo tab;
    check the appropriate box;
    That should work.

  • ITunes won't properly upload photo/images onto iPod nano

Everything else is working just fine and this isn't really a huge issue but just irritating.
iTunes has just today decided to not copy photos to my iPod nano after I selected a different photos folder to copy in the preferences window. As usual it displayed the message "Optimizing Photo _" blah blah until the photos were all optimized....
But then it didn't start copying the photos. In the information bar at the top of iTunes, it just said "iPod update is complete."
I don't understand because I've previously deleted photos and changed the files to be copied to the iPod many times without any issues. This scenario happens everytime now and I can't get it to COPY the photos to my iPod.
Restarting the computer does nothing, as with trying a different USB port. And it seems like too much work to reset or restore my iPod, or reinstall the iTunes software.
I don't want to go to such drastic measures before I check with you people its not something error I have made that is easily fixed.
So, anyone know what's up with this? Is there something I have missed?
your input and advice would be much appreciated.
      Windows XP

    PROBLEM FIXED!
Solution: Restore iPod nano using the 'iPod Updater 2006-01-10' which is downloadable from this site and is a 45.5 MB file size. The program also updates iTunes quickly and without hassle.
I have no idea what the cause was, but this seemed to fix it. I CAN COPY PHOTOS TO THE IPOD YAY!!!
Don't worry about your music, as long as you have a copy of all your iPod songs in your iTunes Library, then its all good. After you've restored your ipod, just copy and drag all the songs you want from your Library to you iPod (in iTunes), and change some of the default settings on your iPod to how you prefer it.
    Easy.
