Transferring PIR from APO to R/3

Hi Experts,
We have one scenario where we have 3 R/3 system's say A, B & C& which are connected to single APO system.
Now We have 3 different planning area PA1, PA2 & PA3 which generates Forecast that we need to send in different R/3 systems A, B & C resectively. So where we define that The forecast of the PA1 planning area goes to A r/3 system? In the transfer profile we are setting Source say PA, Key fig ,Planning version & prod/loc chara & in detination we are setting Req. type & version of R/3 but where we define the R/3 system's say A,B & C?

Transaction SMW01
--> select your bdocs.
in the transaction, you can view the contents of the bdoc by using the buttons on top of the ALV.
Sbdocs have only a classical data part that contains the entire structure (the yellow button). Mbdocs have a classical part, which can be considered as a header segment and an extended part, which contains the bdoc (the grey button).
--> once you have opened the bdoc, you can view it's structure and open the segments you need.

Transfering PIR from higher level.

i am having a problem here. mine is discrete manufacturing process.i am using VC. few of my components are common to 3 ferts in the BOM. one of the fert is a VC material. i dont want the reqirements to be transvered for the VC material to the raw materials. but i want the requirements to be transvered from other two ferts to the raw material.
how do i restrict the transver of reqirements for only one material.

You maintain following Material Master settings for your FERT VC materials as below:
1.For Not Transferring dependent requirements to lower level of FERT:
maintain 1 Materials for dependent requirements are not planned
in Material Master--> MRP-4 View->MRP Dep Requirements
2.For Not Transferring dependent requirements to lower level of FERT:
maintain (Blank) Materials for dependent requirements are planned
in Material Master--> MRP-4 View->MRP Dep Requirements
Save above settings for respective FERT materials and then try with MRP Run.

Transferring characteristics to APO from ECC

Hi,
We need transferring characteristic to APO from ECC. Only one characteristic. We're enter name of characteristic to field "Additional characteristics", but in created IM chosen, all existing characteristics. What we need to do to transfer only one required characteristic?

Babu, sorry for my brevity.
I have one IM that contain list of characteristics relevant to class type 300 and organization area indicator "A".
Then I created new IM that contain only one characteristic without reference class type and organization area.
When I activate IM I can see that selected all existing characteristics, while I need to transfer only one of them.
How can I transfer only one characteristic? Is it possible?
I hope this is enough information to answer my question.

I am getting an error while transferring materials from R/3 to APO , the error is on the SCM side and its "NOEXEC" , the inbound queue has been blocked . what might be the problem

Transferring Product Master Data Changes From APO to ECC/R/3

Is it possible to transfer product master data changes in APO to ECC via the CIF? If so, does it require custom coding?

In all the different clients where APO is being used with ECC systems. ECC system is always the main system (system of record) which contains all the master data and data present in ECC supposed to be the reference for APO system for planning purpose.
Generally it is not recommended to transfer master data from APO to ECC but as mentioned earlier by some experts you may have ways to do that.
I would be interested in the business scenario where one needs to transfer master data from APO to ECC.

CIFing the data from APO to ECC

Hi - I know how to CIFing the data from ECC to APO. But i would like to know how to transfer the data from APO to ECC.I also would like to know how to debug the code...I see some of the questions in this forum on CIF debugging, but they are all CIFing the data from ECC to APO, but i need the other way around ( APO to ECC )
Could anyone provide me the detail steps to CIF debugging ?

What kind of data do you want to transfer from APO to ECC ? Lets say you want to transfer live cache reqs generated by APO to R/3 and create firmed reqs , then the following are the prerequisites
1. Make the publication setting /n/sapapo/cp1 as mentioned by DB
2. Make sure the material -plant for which you want to transfer reqs is active in the PO/ Preq integration model in R/3
3. In APO /n/sapapo/sdp110 make sure the transfer setting is set to immediate.
Once all this is done , you dont have to do anything manually. The reqs will get transferred to R/3 automatically.
Also we have to transfer master data from R/3 to APO since R/3 is the master and i dont think it is possible to do the opposite - transfer of master data from APO- R/3 (no standard tool available) . Also we generally transfer only live cache reqs and PIR's (demand plan) back to R/3 . For PIR's you need to use the transfer profile.

Transfer of data from APO to ERP via IDOC

Hi,
I know we can transfer the of transactional data(Planned orders) from APO to R/3 is done via CIF.
Suppose if I need to transfer the same via IDOC instead of CIF how can I do it?
Let me know the steps to follow and way to find out how the data got transferred by IDOC?
For e.g. When I have transfer a planned order from APO to ERP, the data should be populated in the IDOC LOIPRO01 on the ERP side.

For a thouht If you want to use that IDOC data to be transfer to an other system from R/3 then let the data flow through CIF and in INBOUND exit wright code to create IDOC.
But Iam not sure whether it works.

Purchase Requisitions from APO to R3

when iam transferring purchase requisitions from APO to R3, other snp orders are also automatically tranferring to R3 . How to prevent this?

Go to the following menu path
SPRO> APO>Supply chain planning> SNP> Cnfigure transfer to OLTP systems
Based on your requirement: only transfer SNP generated Purch Reqs and dono transfer SNP generated planned orders to ECC, you have 2 options
Option 1--Immediately transfer SNP generated Purch Reqs and never transfer any SNP planned orders
Config required: (1)SNP( Select Radio Button- Immediate Transfer) (2) Check the " NO SNP PLANNED ORDERS" (3) Check whether the Dist Definition for the plant is maintained for External Procurement
(4) Check the CIF queues and clear or reset the status
Preferred Option2 for future projects in mind--- As this is a global setting, it is better to have periodic transfer set and then use C5 transaction to send the Purch Reqs to R3 using the Filter as Order Type.
This way you are not putting a hard stop for sending the planned orders to ECC as in OPTION 1.
Config Required: (1) SNP( select Radio Button- Periodic Transfer) (2) Run C5 transaction and give in your plant/product selection and APO order type=21(ext Procurement)

Impact of PR created in ECC from APO

Hi,
there are 2 systems, ECC1 and ECC2. now , Purchase requisition is created in ECC1 and transferred to ECC2 through idoc messages.
but the process is changed and instead of PR created in ECC1 , APO creates the PR and transferred to ECC2.
Now , my job is to analyse the impact of PR created from APO.
what would be the impact and are there any side eefects of this ?

Based on the business requirements stated up until now, it is unclear what business processes will be performed in which systems, and what data must be maintained in each of the 3 systems.
So, a direct answer to the latest post.
If you create PRs in APO, and transfer to ECC2, the implication is that all data required for the creation of PRs must first exist in APO. This means all master data, and enough transactional data to support PR creation, and configuraton to support planning (you haven't stated if you intend to perform planning in APO, but I will assume this is the case).
If you thereafter treat ECC2 and APO as the primary OLTP-Planning combination, then there are no special implications. You can establish 2-way CIF between this pair, and, as far as APO is concerned, you can 'pretend' that ECC1 does not exist. The sole source of Master and Transactional data in APO would then be ECC2.
If it is necessary to continue to exchage some data between ECC1 and ECC2, I would suggest that you continue to use IDOCs, and do not attempt to connect ECC1 to APO. In addition, my opinion is that you should evaluate, 'is it still necessary to retain 2 ECC systems?'
You ask about the impact of creating a PO in ECC1 without the benefit of a PR. That totally depends on what you intend to do with the PO in ECC1. Technically, SAP supports the creation of POs directly, without reference to PR. However, without knowing your entire business cycles (eg, order-to-cash, plan-to-execute, and procure-to-pay) I can't tell you if you will run into problems.

I know we can transfer the of data say PR from APO to R/3 is done via CIF.
Suppose if I need to transfer the same PR via IDOC instead of CIF how can I do it? Let me know the steps to follow and way to find out how the data got transferred (CIF or IDOC)?

Did you check log in SLG1 , /SAPAPO/C3 . whats is the message in the log.
Can you check your queues SMQ1/SMQ2 in both the system , is there any block ?

Not able to cif transiton data from APO to R/3 and from R/3 to APO

I have made all relevant setting as per required for configuration of cif architecture in R/3 and in APO.I am able to cif master data from R/3 to APO but when I am transferring Planned Order from APO to R/3 or Sales Order from R/3 to APO I am not able to tranfer it .Even I am not getting any blocked q.
Even I am able to access remote login to both system by RFC Connection.
Please let me know how to debug it and solve it.

Hi Ashish,
Please try ciffing only one transactional data and then check on the application logs using t-code CFM1 or SLG1 in R/3 and /n/sapapo/c3 & slg1 in APO. This will give you idea where is going on wrong.

Pur Reqs from APO to R3

Hi,
while transferring purchase requistions online(immediately) from APO to R3, we want to have only some products are transferred immediately and others with periodic transfer..
we tried with the integration model(by having only the products that should go online), but the other products pur reqs are endingup in queues..
how to rectify this and achieve the above. Thanks

I think, you must define "immediate transfer" and use enhancement APOCFPEP to delete unnecessary ones.
This way, no queue should hang.
When you want them in R/3 again, delta report can do it.?????
I checked /SAPAPO/RRP_EVENTS_PUBLISH after creating PR manually in RRP3, here
iv_publish_events
iv_collect_events
et_order_changed
are all filled, so can trace back to find if some other enhancements can be used.
Inside the applications of creating PR, there should be BAdI available to do this even earlier:
like BAdI /SAPAPO/SNP_TRANSFER, (but I'm not sure if CCR report can pick up the left-overs later.
Please feedback if you've tested) BR/Tiemin
P.S. It suddenly occurred to me if CCR report will go through enhancement APOCFPEP or not......
If not, more complicated logic must be coded in the enhancement

APO/BW: How to get back from APO to BW/ How the send data from BW to APO

1. I read that BW is the data layer for APO DP and therefore, I expected data to flow from BW, the data layer, to APO DP but not the reverse. Yet, I also read that data can be transferred from Livecache back to BW by using the extractor technology from BW. Can you clarify this for me?
2. If possible, please provide the steps to use this extractor technology to extract data back to BW in detail so that I can try it.

1. The data flow is from BW to APO, and from APO to BW.
from bw to apo, to feed planning area, characteristic value combination, in APO we have infocube to feed the data, as we know APO has BW inside (all the tcodes RSA1 etc are valid), datamart scenario is used here, we create infocube in APO, update rules, infosource and assign datasource from BW.
The data flow from APO to BW, to get the plan data inputted by user, we generate datasource in APO from planning area (compare with 'generate export datasource' from infocube), transaction /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR. 'extractor technology' here in practice is just like when we are using datasource

2. as mentioned in #1, you can use the transaction /SAPAPO//SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR to handle planning area-datasources in APO, or /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN - planning area; choose your planning area, and menu extractor tools (or generate datasources), again datamart scenario is used here, after the datasource generated in APO, it's replicated in BW (APO act as source system), the rest steps are just same as when extract data from other SAP source system
simply what you need to practice is /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR to 'generate export datasource', the rest steps should be familiar already for you

Extracting Data from APO PP/DS to BW

Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to extract data from APO PP/DS (SCM 5.1) to BW (BI 7.0). I'm new to SCM and am not sure how the extraction from SCM to BI happens other than that we need to read data from LiveCache.

Folder missing after transferring data from external hard drive

Hello.
I have a big problem and I hope somebody can help.
I transferred 350gb from my SAMSUNG external hard disc to my new Macbook Pro, in order to format it (my external hd) and configure it for Mac as I wasn't able to delete anything off of it, which bugged me. So I did it and everything seemed ok.
Then I formatted my external hard disc and everything was erased from it.
Then, problem begins: One day after, I realized that one folder is missing from the 350gb that I transfered day before, which is very very very important for me.
I tried to recover files from my external drive with a program called StellarPhoenixMacDataRecovery and it did recover everything except for that folder! I tried to find it with Finder and I had no luck. I tried both name of the folder and also the names of the files that folder contained. No luck either. I also tried to list files in Terminal and again, no luck. For some reason, only that one particular folder (that is the most important for me!) is missing.
What could be the problem?
Folder's name contained some German letters and dashes and I was thinking if this maybe caused Mac changing its name and maybe moving it somewhere without me noticing it? Or it's hidden for some reason? Or it's gone forever?
Please help, any idea is much appreciated.
