Transferring playlist to sd card

How do I transfer a playlist to a SD card?
Appreciate any help

Probably you have apps that store data on your internal phone.Try to clear data for apps you do not use and remove them.

  • How do I transfer jpg images transfered to an SD card, into an iPad?

How do I transfer jpg images transfered to an SD card, into an iPad? Have tried lots - nothing works.
I would like to buy an iPad if this could be solved.
    I am on a PC
I have iTunes on my desptop, not my laptop.
When traveling I shoot RAW 22mg photos.
I resize down to 2mg file for screen.
I transfer to SD card to then transfer to an iPad.
I use wifes new iPad with SD card accessory to try to get it to work but it doesn't.
I created a test directory with subdirectories
Synced it to iPhone 3GS and worked fine.
Will not do syncing from laptop because ...no iTunes anddon't want it on laptop.
Did experiment with wife's MAC desktop - it worked fine
Card is an SD HC which supposedly works fine.
Apple would have a customer if I could do this.
    Thanks for any possible solutions.

    Meg:
So far you are leading the race. I tried more scenarios on the SD card and the DCIM + names no longer than 8 characters works. However this naming and sorting convention still falls short for me. I realize what we want and what we get are sometimes two different things and I always try to seek a workaround.
If I breakdown and install iTunes on my laptop and sync just my main directory with many longer than 8 chars sub directory names and within those many jpg's with longer than 8 chars names would that solve my dilemma?...like how it works on the iPhone?
On the recent test with the SD attachment the sub directories did not import or even show - only those in the root. I named one sub directory with only 8 chars and one file inside less than 8 chars - not found by iPad.
I am hesitant to do this (add iTunes to laptop) because I may not necessarily want all files synced on desktop, laptop and iPad.
I sort many files based on events and travel days and most of the events I do are several days, hence many subdirectories...sometimes 5 weeks gone.
Sorry to be a pain but I am trying to buy an iPad...but so far not practical reason.

  • Copy playlist to SD card

My new Volks will accept a SD card for media input - how do I put a playlist on the card so it plays in the correct order?
    Terry

Once the files are copied to the card you can do what you want. The way I do this is copy the files to the card.  Start iTunes while holding down the option key and make a new library for use with the card (not 100% necessary but it means I won't end up with broken links in my main iTunes).  Hold down the option key while dragging the files from the card back to an iTunes playlist. The option key prevents them from being copied back to the main drive.  Now go to the Dougscripts web site and look up a script for generating track names using metadata from your iTunes files.  You can probably come up with some combination that generates names in the order your wife wishes to play the tracks.

  • Transfering pictures from memory card to computer

    Here’s my question,
I have a new HP Photosmart 7520e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination option.  I'm using Windows 7.  Nothing at the computer end acknowledges that the card is in the printer slot. The computer is wireless hook up. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?
Thanks support team. My old HP Printer pooped out on me and I just got this new one hooked up. I have a card full of pictures I need to move into “My Pictures” but so far, my new HP doesn’t want me to. Stainless909

My computer does NOT have a card slot or I would have use it to start with. Next: This sentence doesn't make any sense to me. (youyr answer) "You can map the card to network drive but why you have to do that hard ?"  I don't understand "maping net works".
All my previous (4) HP printers had card slots (as this one does) but when I put my card in the computer would read it and ask me if I  was ready to import them and I picked the destination ... click on "import" and it happened. This one.. nothing happens on the computer but the printer screen gives me a choice of destinations (snapfish & usb cord) but does not offer an option of moving them to the computer. Are you not understanding my problem????  Would this be better resolved with a phone call? 951 769-8420 Thanks Bruce aka... Stainless909

  • TS2972 I can't seem to record transferred playlists, even single songs. Why?

I just began to share my iTunes music with other Mac computers in my home. My problem: my disk drive has always been intermittent in my main Mac book.
I tried to transfer songs and playlists to my Mac pro to copy playlists to record to CD. It doesn't respond when either I try to create a new playlist, or burn a transferred song. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Are you trying to drag songs onto playlists into your library or playlists that are already stored on your iPod?  What happens when you try to add them?  Are sure you aren't trying to add songs to Smart Playlists?

  • Transferring Playlists From A Windows Computer to a Mac (with an IPod???)

I recently switched from a Windows computer to a Mac and the folk at the Apple Store copied my documents and music files to the new Mac. All of my music that I had on ITunes on the Windows computer was transferred, including all the purchased music. The only thing that wasn't transferred were my extensive playlists, which I've spent years creating. I figured I could do it with my IPod and I was about to synch my IPod with the new Mac, when I saw the message advising me that everything on the IPod would be erased including, presumably, the existing playlists. Now, I realize I could simply print out what's on the playlists from my old Windows computer and manually recreate the playlists, but that would be a laborious pain in the butt. There's gotta be a simpler way but so far so one seems to be able to tell me what it is. A few people have told me there's no way to do it, but I have to believe there's a way because it would be foolish and dumb for there not to be. Any ideas? Thanks.

There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and clone playlists from an iPod. You could start your research with the three below, I believe they can all copy playlists and other data. If you search the web I'm sure you'll find others:
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

  • Transferring playlists to new computer?

I have tried all of the tutorials for this given here but it is not working. On my windows pc using itunes 11, I saved the two files from the itunes music folder "itunes library.itl" and "itunes music library.xml" on my external HDD, I then copied them unto my Macbook's desktop, I would like to know 3 things please:
1] How to proceed from here, should I go into the itunes folder on the mac and replace the two files in there with the two backed up files?
2] If that method works then in which itunes folder should I place the original mp3's copied over from my pc?
3] How do I relink the playlists to the mp3's?
    Thanks.

Ok I think it may be best to settle the issue of my pc's itunes backup situation first which is a simliar issue with my macbook, this time listing my steps:
1] On My desktop pc, in itunes 11, I created a number of playlists with names like 1946-1969, 12 inch 80s, reggaeton e.t.c e.t.c with the actual mp3's located on my connected external HDD in a top level folder titled "collection", inside this folder are the categorized mp3 folders with names like 1946-1969, 12 inch 80s, reggaeton e.t.c e.t.c, so you get the picture, I created the playlists to correspond to the actual mp3 folder's names.
2] I then copied the .itl and .xml files from the itunes folder on my pc located in C: Users/living room/music/itunes [as shown in screenshot] and pasted unto a flash drive for backup purposes.
3] I then uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 11 on my pc then replaced the new itunes .itl and .xml files with the backup files I had copied, now all playlists are showing and when I click on any playlist the files are showing in the library but when I click on any song, it's asking for the location of the song file, this where I am at a standstill and cannot go any further, I need to know how to link the playlists back to the songs still located on on my external HDD?
If I can solve this issue above then I think I should be able to soklve the transferring to my macbook issue?

  • Where did my pics go ??? Transferred pics from memory card to Mac Pro and lost pics on memory card and unable to find on Mac

where did my pics go. Transferred 40-50- pic from camera memory card to Mac via  slot; lost pics on memory card and unable to find anywhere in Mac. May have gone to Open Office as Data . Is that possible and if so can I get pics back or if not so ,where could they be????

First place to check is in the iPhoto library. If the images were imported there then they will be visible in the previews created.
The physical location of image files in iPhoto is quite buried in folders within folders. So, if you want to copy them then select all of the ones needed from the previews and copy from iPhoto to a new location, preferably a new folder in the Pictures folder.
The other app that might have transferred the files is Image Capture. It would download files from cards or cameras. Launch this app and look in the preferences to see the default location of transferred files.

  • Xperia Z3C issue after transferring apps to SD card

Hi guys, hoping you can give me a little help here. I updated my Xperia Z3C to Lollipop the other day, which has been fine so far, but last night I moved a few apps over to my SD card to free up some of the internal memory in my phone (not using any third party app to do this). It seems as though something has gone wrong, as my phone restarted itself while one of the apps was transferring and now ALL of them are showing up as a blueprint icon with a little red SD card in the corner, and when you click it it says 'Application not found'. I assume this means the app data on the SD card is corrupt. As I have photos and music on my SD which still work I don't really want to format it, but not sure what to delete to make these icons disappear from my app menu! I'm not bothered about re-installing the apps, that's not a problem for me at all , but the main issue is opening the app menu and the first page and a half being nothing but these 'app not found' icons! I've attached an image. As they don't show up in the Apps list in settings anymore I can't get rid of them! Thanks for your time guys, hoping someone can advise! EDIT: Have just tried removing the SD card and restarting my phone, but these blueprint icons are still showing which is very worrying!

Regarding the blueprint icons after removing the SD: that's normal. Not all the app are convenient to move as part of it remain inside the device storage and just part of it get moved to the SD card, in fact that's the exact reason why also removing the SD card you still see the blueprint icons.
Why some apps are not convenient to be moved? Because some apps, for example, of 10mb of size will be splitted in two parts, one of 8mb in the device storage and one of 4mb in the SD card so the size will increase instead of decrease, and you'll save just 2mb of internal storage and lose 4 of SD space..
Is it really convenient moving apps to the SD card? No, not really. SD card after long time usage are prone to failure, they are not created to run applications for long time and if a SD card stop to work, you'll have to reinstall all the apps.

  • Export itunes playlist on SD card

Hi, I want to export a playlist from itunes on to an SD card. Is there a way to do this (other than drag&drop or Copy/Paste) so that I can keep the order in which the tracks are organised on my itunes playlist?

Basically it's the file naming structure that's important.  Ignore burning instructions.
Do not rename the copies used by iTunes!  Put them on your card and rename those copies.
You will have to read your car's manual for what it says about media playback.  Just about every player is different.

  • ITunes transferred playlists grayed out and not working

OK so I've transferred my old iTunes files from the old computer to the new one. iTunes is now correctly displaying all of my playlists however they are grayed out and I can't access any of the songs. Anyone know why?

I found the answer here:  https://discussions.apple.com/message/15129510#15129510
"Is your computer authorized: Store>Authorize this Computer? Apps restricted in parental controls: iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Parental? Restricted on your phone: Settings>General>Restrictions(are they on?)>Installing Apps>Off?"
Restrictions was on in my iPod.  As soon as I turned that off, every was good to go.

  • Error message on transferring playlist

Per instructions from a bunch of people, I created a separate user account so I could open another iTunes library to handle my own songs, since my husband was deleting all my stuff and my iPod was losing stuff I'd just added every time he did that. Don't seem to be able to import my playlist from his to my library. I go to "export playlist" and put in C/drive and have tried putting it as .txt and .xml, neither of which is transferring when I click on my own library and try to import playlist. Error message says something like "some of the files could not be imported because they could not be found." However, none of the songs are getting on my new library.

We are now using a different program.  Adobe didn't like the file.  It works in other program.  Thank you for your help.
    No, not protected.

Transferring jpeg photos from smartcard to ipad air. Some photos show on the import screen and some do not. Can anyone tell me why and how to correct this problem?

By smart card you mean SD card?
How did the photos get on the card?
The iPad expects 8 character filenames with 3 character extensions.  i.e image001.jpg  Also they need to be in a folder called DCIM.
