Transferring plug-ins from PS CC to PS CC 2014

When downloaded Photoshop CC 2014 has not picked up the plug-ins present in Photoshop CC (Nick software, Focalblade, Noiseware etc). If I copy these programs in the Plug-in of Photoshop CC 2014 it stops working. What can I do?
Thanks for the help.
Giuseppe.

Try doing a reinstall to the 2014 plugins folder. Nik software shouldn't need activation, as licensed users get fully activated software, so moving the plugins should allow them to function. However, since you're not getting it to work a reinstall may be necessary. You could also try the support sites for the programs to verify that they're 2014 compatible.

You may want to re-download the plugins from where you bought them and install them fresh for CS6. Or at a minimum check to see if new CS6 versions are available. The underlying architecture changed for plug-ins when CS6 was released. Some developers had to re-write CS6 versions. Some may work, while others may have had to be updated to work with CS6.

Can anybody show me the way?

If the plug-in's have an installer then you re-install. If they are just added to the plug-in's folder then copy them.

  • Transferring GB plug-ins from computer to computer

I recently transferred all my Garage Band loops and plug-ins from my old G4 to my new iMac. Unfortunately the plug-ins don't work. I have copied the .au components to the Library> Audio> Plug-Ins> Components folder but no success with the plug-ins.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

they're probably all PowerPC plug-ins, and not "universal". PPC plug-ins will not work on an intel mac.

Adobe CC just installed Acrobat DC. PitStop Professional plug-in is not installed in Acrobat DC tools panel. The plug-in is the only thing that exists in my Acrobat 11 folder. Do I need to reinstall? How can I use existing plug-ins from Acrobat 11 in Acrobat DC?

Mac OSX supportsUser Authentication Mechanism (UAM) plug - ins from other manufacturers to control access to servers. To use a UAM, copy the plug - in to: Library/ Filesystems/ AppleShare/ Authenti

Man that is an ancient message.
The last time I saw that was using Mac clients connected to a Microsoft (Windows) Server running 'Services for Macintosh' which included the ability to act as an AppleShare compatible file server. Because Microsoft have a different security system for defining accounts which includes the 'domain' as well as username, the standard Mac AFP client did not know how to send that information.
Therefore Apple made it possible to installed a plugin in the form of a UAM or User Authentication Mechanism which added the ability to send this information to login to the fileserver.
    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/101747
However Microsoft have long discontinued 'Services for Macintosh' and now the only way for a Mac to connect to a standard Windows Server is via SMB not AFP. I don't believe this plugin is available to download anymore.

    Hi Joe ..
    You can disable plug-ins.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
    Deselect:  Allow Plug-ins
To remove internet plug-ins is another process altogether.

May I suggest reading the "Exploring Logic Pro" manual. It's a short read and has the exact answer your looking for plus it will answer so many other operational questions.

how to install third party plug-ins from photoshop elements 11 to new 13 in my PC win7?
    Thank you.

    Hi ,
Your windows is 32 bit or 64 bit .
    If win 7 32 bit
Just copy the plugin from PSE 11 and paste it to PSE 13 plug-in folder.
    If win 7 64
PSE 11 and PSE 13 are installed as a 32 and 64 bit respectively , so you need to install plug-in again.
    Thanks,

  • Free Plug-ins from OnOne Software

Dave Cross posted a link to free Plug-ins from OnOne software on his blog this morning. Here is the link: http://davecross.blogspot.com/
I've downloaded them and they work fine with Photoshop, but PhotoFrame and PhotoTools are supposed to work with Lightroom too but so far I haven't been able to load them using File >  Plug-in Manager. I can find them on my HD but all the files are greyed out.
    Anybody can figure this out?
They say min. requirements for the Mac is 10.5 – but they installed and work fine in Photoshop CS 2, with 10.4.11.

    Rene,
A couple of things..  I can't seem to find the Dave Cross plug-in?  Where is it on Dave's site?
Also, as for showing up in LR.  You're saying the one that they gave away..  Did you get the full suite (which should be Professional) or individual products, like PhotoFrame, PhotoTools, etc.  If they were individual products, then yes, the Pro versions integrate with LR.

  • Transfering plug-ins

How do I transfer plug-ins from CS6 to CC?

You don't. Sorry, that would be grade A stupid and get you in all kinds of trouble from compatibility issues to serious system crashes. Get the updated CC compatible versions from the plug-in vendors and install them properly.
