Transferring podcasts to iPod from iPad

Can anyone please explain to me how to transfer my podcasts on my ipad to my iPod.

My iPod is a 3d gen nano so doesn't have independent downloading capabilities.

I transferred a pages file from ipad to mac (also pages) via email for editing. It opened normally. However, after editing, received message that cannot save edited document to the mac because "trial period has expired for iwork"! I have purchased pages for both machines separately and presumed they would work without a hitch. Am I missing something?

It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • IPod transfering podcasts to iPod it shouldn't be

iTunes transfers all of my podcasts to my 2nd Gen iPod Nano, regardless if I specify 1, 3, or 5 “most recent” podcasts or even completely disable podcast syncing altogether…
The podcasts that are not supposed to be syncing to the iPod cannot be played from the iPod. If, for instance, syncing the 3 “most recent” podcasts is selected, only the three most recent podcasts can actually be found on the iPod. Likewise, if podcast syncing is disabled, the podcasts are no where to be found on the iPod, but they’re there…
How do I know all my podcasts are being transferred?
    1. I see that iTunes is copying them during “Sync”
    2. The podcasts (almost 3 GB total if iTunes transfers all of my podcasts, under 100MB normally) take up space on my 4GB iPod Nano, preventing me from syncing my music and audiobooks (around 2.22 GB)
    3. I see the podcast files when browsing my iPod using third-party software.
What have I tried to fix this?
    1. Closed and reopened iTunes
    2. Checked to make sure I had the most recent version of iTunes
    3. Checked to make sure I had the most recent version of the iPod Software (1.1.3)
    4. Downloaded and reinstalled iTunes (7.6.29)
    5. Reset my iPod
    6. Restored my iPod from iTunes
    7. Reformatted and then restored my iPod
    8. Deleted and restored my entire iTunes Library via Time Machine
    9. Exported, deleted and re-imported my entire iTunes Library
    10. Deleted and re-subscribed to my podcasts
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open iTunes
    2. Delete all podcasts, moving files to trash
    3. Connect iPod Nano
    4. Uncheck/disable podcast syncing and apply settings
    5. Subscribe to podcast via iTunes Store
    6. Sync
    7. Watch as the podcasts are synced to my iPod (despite step 4 above)
    8. Confirm using third-party software

  • ITunes showing Podcasts already deleted from iPad

iPad 3 with iOS 6.0(10A403) and iTunes on Windows 10.7.0.21:
I deleted a couple of Easy Training Podcasts from my iPad.  If I click the Music app, it shows "No Music". If I click the Videos app, it shows "No Videos". If I go to Settings, Usage, it shows No Data for both Music and Videos.  However, if I connect to my computer and bring up iTunes, then click on Podcasts until Devices, then Podcasts, there is still an entry for Easy iPad Video How to~~~ that I can't get rid of.
Why is that entry still there and how do I get rid of it since it's NOT on my iPad, even though iTunes is showing it.

First try connecting your ipad right click and install from backup. if you don't see the app or itunes store...
...do a full restore. While it is restoring click on Itunes -> preferences -> Devices and delete your backup copy
Or you can just Jailbreak it by going to jailbreakme.com on your ipad

  • Copying podcasts to ipod from library

When i update my ipod it will not copy my recent purchase of the ricky gervais podcast from audible.com, stating that 'this ipod my only contain content from two audible accounts'. As i only have one audible account I find this mystifying. I am able to play the podcast, just not copy it.

Use itunes of course, make sure everything is checkmarked, to add any library to your iPod you have to with itunes. You can make a folder or find one of your librarys in a folder. Then, go to "file" on itunes then you can take it from there.

  • HT204207 Sync podcasts to iPod from iTune in full via USB, no streaming, no WiFi download, good old USB sync transfer.

I want to sync my podcast from my MacBook to my iPod via USB. I do not want to download them individually over WiFi due to a large number or podcasts.
I do not want to stream as I listen to my podcasts offline. I want my podcasts to sync like they use to. I just want all the podcasts that are on my MacBook on my iPod, not in a list ready to stream or ready to download.  I want the actual podcast to copy to my iPod in full via USB. I don't understand why apple have chosen to take this option away. I do not want to covert all my podcasts to "music", because then I don't get the advantage of the podcast app where I can listen to podcasts a 1.5x or 2x speed, among other features.

  • Transfering music via ipod from computer

I'm transfering my music from my old computer to my new one. I've followed the steps on http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173 but now both computers say my ipod nano is associated with another computer. And my music transferred to my new computer but when I open itunes with my ipod connected it is under SHARED not DEVICES and where my ipod is listed. help please.

The song is not saved in your computer hardrive, so itunes cant find the file. One thing you can try is using IpodCopy
It takes your music from your ipod and puts it onto your computer. Download this software into your new computer and try it out. I've never actually used this so dont ask me about problems that u may have. To be safe, put your ipod in manual update before you try it.

  • Problems transferring photos to iPod from Nikon D70 and Finepix S602 Zoom

I've been having some difficulties getting a clean transfer of photos from both the D70 and the S602. (Yes, I know the latter is not on the supported list, but the D70 is.)
The first couple of attempts worked fine (both on S602). Transferred 16 photos (9.8 MB) and 13 photos (15.2MB). One from a CF card and one from SmartMedia.
However, the third time it went wrong and not only did the transfer fail but all previously transferred photos apparently disappeared.
Short panic and one reset later the photos are back, but the third roll a) claims to contain only a subset of the photos and b) isn't browseable. Delete is the only option. Further attempts have the same problem, but manually stopping part way through is more successful, so I was able to deal with it in batches. But this is a real pain.
Same problem arises with the D70. But with a 1GB CF is even more painful to manage.
There seems to be little consistency in how much can be successfully transferred before a problem arises. Sometimes it is breaking after 15 shots and a few MB. Other times I can get more transferred, for example, 101 MB (38 photos) or 61 photos (60MB).
I tried switching the D70 to PTP mode (the S602 doesn't support that) and had more success. Everything was going well until it hit 118 photos (299MB) and then it stopped, with the 119th photo showing up as a question mark. This is repeatable. No need to reset this time, so I wonder if it is the same problem.
All the photos successfully transferred are accessible from the PC, but it would be really nice to get it all working more smoothly. Any suggestions?
      Windows XP

This is weird, when I connected the iPod to my computer it opened iTunes, and I had to do all the stuff you do the first time, but this time I checked 'Automatically add photos' or whatever as well. So, then it started to put them on my iPod but I pressed skip because I didn't want like over 770 pictures on my iPod, just the ones I would pick... so then, it updated the songs and everything, that was great but I got my hopes up too soon and figured I'm in, but no, I still get the same message when I try to upload photos... ahh, please help!

  • Transferring iTunes U files from iPad to iMac

I don’t seem to be able to transfer a iTunes U lecture video to my iMac. When I transfer purchases, everything transfers but that. Is there an alternate way? Also iTunes does seem to be able to play iTunes U videos on my iMac from my iPad.

Sync seems very broken right now, at least on my macbook/ipad combo (using itunes 10.5.3).
If you start downloads from your ipad, sync doesn't copy back any course documents, and also because they're not on the source mac, get broken in the itunes U app. The video's get copied accross however, and after pulling the cord out and back in again, you can drag the video's that made it to your mac back onto your ipad to replace it.
So say you want the course documents on your mac, and go download them manually from the itunes store, then copy them accross in the same way as the video's.. they make the motions of copying, but just vanish.
Never had problems like this using apple products before. Not sure what the purpose of the Itunes U section in Sync is... Can someone who's successfully synced video's and documents between the iTunes U app and Itunes on the desktop set me straight? I was hoping it worked like apps.. when there's a mismatch syncing resolves itself great for apps...

  • HT4972 if you backup everything prior to update to ISO 5 then click all buttons under summary after transferring all paid apps from iPad and then I do the update, won't the restore then  just put the old OS on it.  I am sooo lost when it says the way you

    Dear iPad Wizards,
I am a beginner. I have an ipad and I need to upgrade to ISO 5 and I have purchased APPS on my iPad.  All the warning are scaring me.  Right now all of my sync square buttons are not turned on.  One of the warnings says I will loose my apps if I don't transfer them.  I did that (with another warning).  Then it said to back up the iPad, which I did. Heck all I want to do is upgrade my version correctly.  It then makes a statement that is something like when you are updating your version, make sure you have all your apps sync set normal, but when I do that it says you will loose all apps, but what the heck is normal (I say at this point).  So, since I am so lost and don't know what to do, do I just chuck it up to a learning experience because if I now restore everything after I do the update it seems that it will restore the old ISO...Am I correct.  I was just really thrown for a loop with that statement that is highlighted and I am still no where except backed up and apps purchased transfered to itunes.  Anybody else in the world ever have this happen to them?  I am truly thankful for anyone who might be able to help me.  I am thankful in advance if anyone understands this email.  Looking forward to someone who understand.
    With Many Thanks

To update to iOS 5.1.1, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases - you may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

  • HT201272 transferring non ibooks books from iPad to mac.

how can i transfer non ibooks books in my ibooks app on my ipad to my ibooks app on my macbook air?

You should be able to copy them over by connecting your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that should copy PDFs and epubs that are in the iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and then in the iBooks app on your Mac do File > Move Books From iTunes.

  • I am having proplems with my music I transfered to my ipod from CD showing up in the library so i can sync it with my new purchase...any ideas??

Recenly got an ipod touch and trying to transfer my songs i downloaded from all my CDs on my ipod shuffle...will not show up in my library so there is nothing to sync....

Does the issue occur when listening to the media using the speaker or wired headphones?  If it does, the issue is with the media itself.
If it does not, it's likely a bad connection or interference.
