Transferring purchased video from iPad to iMac

I have purchased several movies and a couple of tv series. They are residing on my iPad and my partners iPad.
The movies and most of the tv episodes have the 'cloud' symbol I assume indicating they are residing in iCloud. The couple of movies and tv episodes that actually reside on the iPad won't all transfer to the iMac. The error says something like 'not enough available space on the iPad'" almost like I a trying to transfer data TO the iPad not FROM it.
I can't be more specific with the error than that, I am in hospital currently and am hoping gain enough intel on this stuff before I get home.

Best bet is to bookmark it and sync your book marks via iCloud.

You will want to make sure Safari is turned on (doesn't show it on the article screen shot, but it will be there.)
Or simply bookmark it on both devices.
NOTE: you will have to have internet connectivity to view it regardless of device, obviously.

I don't want them taking up space on my computer. iPad backups and apps on the cloud are enough to ensure my apps are backed up, so I don't understand why they need to be on iTunes too. There isn't an app for that!
As far as I can tell there is no option to give you that control. It is worth noting that apps can be withdrawn from the store at any time. Should your device need restoring you need all the apps in your library to transfer to it before the app data can be successfully restored. Pulling that all down from the cloud would be time consuming.
If space is becoming an issue you should consider moving the library to a bigger drive (which you should also backup to another).
As a temporary measure you could try deleting some larger apps using Finder from within iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications while keeping the entries in your library. iTunes may complain during syncs that it cannot copy apps to the device because they cannot be found, but it should not clear them from the device. Test first on a single app that doesn't have any data that you would mind losing in case the behavior has changed from the last time I tested it.

Transferring old photos from Ipad to Imac using usb cable or local wifi?

Can anyone tell me how I transfer old photos from Ipad to Imac? These were originally on a PC (now disposed of). I can see how to transfer new photos from Camera Roll using Iphoto, but my 10 year archive with 1000s of photos appears stuck on my Ipad. I have a very slow internet connection, so I can't send them across by email and would like a solution involving the usb cable if possible.
Worryingly this question appears several times in old threads but appears to be unanswered, but I will be pleased to be referred to the right thread with all the answers - if it exists!

Connect the iPad (USB) to your Mac then launch the Image Capture app. It's located in your Applications folder.
You can import photos from the iPad using that application.
You can even designate where you want to the photos stored on your Mac and which app you want to use for editing from the bottom of the Image Capture window.

There are ways to stream media from your Mac to your iPad, but I do not know of a method to go iPad to Mac.
Boxee is rumored to be preparing an app for iPad that may do that, but I have not heard that it is out.

I tried connecting my iPad to the PC and dragging the file. It transfers but the file is empty (0 bytes). I'm running XP and the video is 790KB. I may need to compress it on the iPad before transfer? Any ideas? Going to try downloading to another PC NOT running XP next.
I also tried:
--transferring the video via a USB port but the device wasn't recognized on the iPad
--uploading directly to YouTube via wireless and it shows up there but I can't open the file

HT1386 How do I transfer video from ipad to imac

I have some videos that I have imported to my iPad through the camera kit, which is the only thing I have that will read the SD Card.
I want to transfer the videos to my iMac but I cannot work out how to do it. They are too big to email. I don't want the send them to YouTube.
Apple has sandboxed most of the useful fuctionality of the iPad to oblivion. I cannot send them through dropbox. There is no connection for photos to iCloud except by Photo Stream. And I doubt that the Youtube community will find them entertaining (although who knows? The weirdest stuff seems to fly on YouTube.)
I temporarily enabled photostream on the iPad and one of my iMacs, but it seems to work only with stuff taken after it is enabled. I cannot imagine a circumstance that would lead me to use it - it smells like a Microsoft product - something that one brilliant but dateless techie cooked up on a lonely Friday night and the company has decided to roll it out because it is there....
I have tried doing a Photos sync from iTunes with Include Videos selected, but no luck.
Both the iMac and the iPad are on the latest versions of their respective OS.
Any ideas?

Just solved it. Well, the Mrs did, anyway.
Solution is that it is not done through iTunes - photos are downloaded from the iPad with iPhoto. It has been so long since I did it (because mostly I take photos with my iPhone then email them - I do not use my iPhone for taking "art" photos - just snapshots of instantaneous interest.)
I have been using this stuff for years and still it catches me out. It just works, but not necessarily for everyone every time.
So we can consider this problem solved.

Is there anyway to watch my purchased videos from my iPhone/imac to a brand new Samsung smart tv?

We just purchased a Samsung 3D HD Smart TV. My B-friend has a Samsung Galaxy 3 (poor thing) which syncs beautifully with the TV. We are also Amazon Prime customers. So another great syncing capability. I own an iphone 5 and an Imac. so we can never coordinate anything together. However, I am trying to be able to watch one movie in particular that is in my Itunes on both my phone and computer. I would love to watch it on the big HD TV. How do I do this? do I need to purchase an apple tv? or is there some setting I need to enable?
When I plug in the USB/lightning cable to the usb port in the back of the TV it will show all of my photos from the phone. but no videos! or music or anything, Just recognizes photos. I have a third party thing called a pogo but it seems to be more hassle than useful. Any suggestions?
If I purchase an apple TV would that then work in reverse? the free movies I get with my Amazon prime account could I watch on my Iphone? there is an infared dongle (seriously) that will use blue tooth but the phone picked it up one time and by the time I got the TV to pick it up, the connection to the phone was lost and i could not reconnect.

I purchased a show from itunes and tried transfering it to my ipod classic, but it keeps saying it cannot be played on my ipod. I was able to transfer and watch other videos on my ipod just fine so I am not sure why it is saying this. I downloaded both the HD and SD versions of the video because it was stated on a different discussion that ipod classics might only take the SD format, but I still can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Hi there. I bought a bunch of videos on my PC iTunes and want to transfer them to my Mac iTunes. How do I do this? For music I just copy the *.m4p files to my Mac desktop and then under the Mac iTunes preferences I check the "copy music to my iTunes folder" option and drag the *.m4p files into iTunes. I tried doing the same with the video files and it will not work.
Any ideas?

I had a PC before and what I did was open up my iTunes account on the Mac and authorize the Mac to download the music. Once you do that, you should be able to see all your downloaded music files. You might want to have your iPod hooked up to the Mac. My iPod was PC formatted, so you'll have to reformat your iPod for your Mac. If you don't do that, you won't be able to download new music to you iPod. I did not loose my music when I formatted my iPod.

There's a bug in iPhoto 9.5.1 and Mavericks that affects slideshows played directly from an album. The slideshow will not play correctly if the photos have been sorted manually. Any other type of sort, date, rating, keyword or title, will play correctly.
If you need that manual sort of pictures for your slideshow create the slideshow in iPhoto's slideshow mode.
