Transferring purchases to OFFLINE computer from iphone

hi! So I have an iPhone 5c, on an 8.something and I am trying to transfer recently purchased songs to my computer from the iPhone so I can get them onto my iPod. I purchased the songs on my phone because my computer is NOT connected to the Internet. But when I use either one of the transfer purchase options in iTunes (the one in the main menu or the one under the phone) nothing happens. W

You should consider posting this question in the iTunes for Windows or iTunes for Mac forum (which ever is appropriate).

  • I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on. After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod. Is there a way to do this

I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on.
After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod.
Is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately, unless you have a backup and can restore the iTunes library to the new computer, you are stuck with the current state of the iPod. This is one of those things that makes doing backups so important.
Unless your music is all purchased from iTunes (not from your own CD's that you imported into iTunes and then downloaded to the iPod), you will be able to re-download all your iTunes store music back to the iPod when you install iTunes on the new computer. When you first attach the iPod to the new computer and new iTunes the first time it will tell you that this iPod is synced with another iTunes library and let you initialize the iPod (which will erase everything on the iPod - so don't do this unless you don't care about the stuff on the iPod now).
I've seen 3rd party apps in the past that will let you copy music/content from iPod to computer and bypass iTunes, but not sure if they still exist as this was several years ago.
    good luck

Ever since my upgrade to lion 10.7.3, and iCloud, my macbook is running extremely slow. What can I do? It doesn't seem like my contacts are pushing through to the computer from iPhone.

Then your basic issues are: too little RAM, incompatible software, dysfunctional installation.
Add more RAM or kill as many programs that you use until the computer is running normally.
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps. Upgrade any old software.
    Reinstall OS X:
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    Alternatively, see:
Reinstall OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Choose the version you have installed now:
OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X

  • Can't sync TO the computer from iPhone so going to lose 30 albums! Help!

I have an old iPhone 4 which I used to sync with my old Acer laptop.  The laptop died and I bought a new Macbook Air (love it!).  I copied music from the old laptop to the Macbook but for some reason lots of albums didn't copy across.  It's mainly albums that I had uploaded from CD.  It didn't matter as I only listened to music via the phone but I now have an iPhone 6 and I need to get all these albums on to that.  However when I try to sync the iPhone 4 with the macbook it tells me I will lose everything on the iPhone 4 as it will only sync one way i.e. macbook to phone, not phone to macbook.
The problem is that I no longer have the CDs (got rid of them in a house clear out as i thought they were happily on my computer) and the old Acer has died completely so I can't get the albums off there.  Therefore they now only exist on the old phone.
I wondered if anyone knows any ways of getting round the syncing problem to get the music off the iPhone 4 and onto the Macbook?  Otherwise I'm going to lose around 30 albums!
    Thanks so much
    Claire C

When you got rid of your CDs you also got rid of the right to have a copy of the music.  And, as you can see, there are reasons for keeping the CDs as a backup.
You obviously did not do the correct process to transfer the iTunes library from the old computer to the new one.  If you still have the old computer your question would best be addressed from that perspective.  If you do not you will have to buy third party software to do a less-than-ideal transfer of non-iTunes purchases from the iPhone before wiping it so it will sync with the new computer.
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss.  To use a device with a a different setup you transfer the old library from a computer or a backup directly to the new setup, not the device to the library. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • When trying to sync purchases to MacBook Air from iPhone?

thank you for the link. it didnt actually have any new imformation for me tho. i primarily use iphoto for my photo storage. but when it opens my device there is no Album option. Only import from camera roll. and even in the settings there isnt a way to add albums as my source of importing photos. any other suggestions?
Iphone is NOT a storage device.  It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.  The picture sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The picture synced to iphone are reduced in resolution when synced to iphone as well.
The iphone is not a device that is intended to be used to transfer photos at all.
You need to copy them some other way.

  • Transferred purchases to new computer cannot move things to iPhone

So I bought a Macbook Pro and am trying to transfer my iPhone to that computer as my primary computer now.  I have transferred the purchased and authorized the computer but I am still not able to add music to my phone or edit anything in my phone from iTunes.  Any help is appreciated.
    Kevin

I get no error message, I can view everything on the phone it just will not let me delete things off of it or add to  it.  I can still hook it up to my old computer and manage it but my whole goal is to switch over completely to the new computer.
I have only copied portions of my music library to my new computer with the belief that I would need to redo it all at somepoint on the phone.
I am not willing clear my phone to get this to work.

  • Transferring itunes purchases on new computer to iphone

I had to get a new computer.  I purchased some new songs in itunes but now it won't allow me to transfer to my iphone - with error message that my iphone was synched to a different library.  Interestingly enough, it would let me transfer to my ipod touch

The iphone will sync/manually manage with one and only one computer at a time.  If you sync/manually manage with another, then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Transferring contacts/music/apps etc to new computer from iphone 3GS

    Hi
My windows PC has just died and i am wondering how to transfer my iphone data (apps, calendar, music, photos) onto a new laptop (windows 7) into itunes without deleting anything
I have read threads which say how to tansfer itune purchases, but not all of my music has been purchased via itunes.  Is there anyway of saving this music or will it be deleted.
Any help would be appreciaited because i could stand to lose 800 songs!

Transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup of your old PC before it died. That should contain everything that was in your iPhone regardless of where it came from. Your backup of your Oulook data will contain the contacts and calendars you synced with the iPhone via iTunes.

  • How to remove sync computer from iphone 4

I have a new computer (PC) and I have connected my IPhone with bluetooth and with cable.  However, my phone still only wants to "ITunes wi-fi sync" with my old computer. How do I change this?

Select your options under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on the new PC.
Unless you have transferred your iTunes library from your old PC to your new PC per the instructions included with this link, all iTunes content on your iPhone will he erased with the first sync for any iTunes content on your new PC.
