Transferring Ratings FROM FILE OR iPOD! Need Help!

Ok So I reformatted my hard drive but I backed up all my music and the .xml file called "iTunes-Library.xml" and also another text file called "iTunes-SongInfoLibrary.txt"
I was hoping that these would return my new iTunes back to normal when I did the fresh install, except they havent. I have my playlists back but not my ratings!
Is there any way that I can either get my ratings from my iPod to iTunes or from "iTunes-SongInfoLibrary.txt" to iTunes?
Please help a.s.a.p.!!

can anyone give me any info on transferring ratings!?? even a yes or no answer would be sufficient!! thanks in advance

I get a similar error, but only under the following conditions: I must be printing to the Adobe PDF printer and printing multiple pages, one at a time, and then it only happens on the second and subsequent print attempts. That is to say, the first page prints just fine and this just started yesterday afternoon. The specific file referenced in the error does not exist, but why would it work the first time and not the second? Since it only started yesterday, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling this morning, but it made no difference. I don't see anything under print properties like job-options and it is a single user, unshared printer. Thoughts? I understand the same thing is happening in at least one other of our locations, but no one there has looked into it yet. This is a BIG problem for me, however, and I need to find an answer quickly.

New ipod need help with songs from old one NEED HELP!!!!

I got a new ipod nano 3rd gen. but it wont let me take all of my old songs from my old ipod(nano 1st gen) and put them on my new one! I dont want to lose my songs so PLEASE HELP!!

When I did that on my old ipod and it said doing so will delete all the songs on it and replace it with my library. When I did it on my new ipod it just put the songs that was already in that playlist back on the ipod, not the songs that i need from the old one.

Corrupt file error - ipod nano (HELP!)

Each time that I put a new CD into my computer and add it to my iTunes library so that I can transfer the songs onto my iPod nano I get a "corrupt file" error message relating to my iPod and I also get a pop-up asking me to register my iPod even though I've done this already. This happened again yesterday and this time ALL of the songs on my iPod were erased! I don't know what the problem is and why I'm getting this "corrupt file" message. I need help - does anyone know what I can do?

it's plausible here that you're getting the drive-confusion-related version of the chkdsk (based on the fact that you're constantly getting the iPod setup assistant).

Unauthorized files...need help please

When i downloaded the new version of iTunes, i plugged in my ipod and all of a sudden i have 280 file that i cant copy onto my computer because i am not authorized to play them on my computer. I need help on figuring out how to make them accessable and able to put on my ipod. Please help

Transferring music from older model ipod to new ipod.

I have a 3rd generation ipodMB245LL on pc and I am not able to upload songs from this ipod into my itunes in an effort to transfer them to my new nano MP690LL. Why wont Itunes allow me to do this especially if I own both the ipods and the itunes?
I am able to downlod songs from itunes to the new ipod. Itunes also recognizes the old ipod but will not let me "drag" songs into the library from the old ipod eventhough the itunes and ipods are registered under the same name.

Syncing music is a one way street with the iPod and that is from iTunes to the iPod and NOT the other way around. The only exception to this rule is with iTunes purchases. You can transfer them back to iTunes by plugging the iPod and choosing File -> Transfer Purchases.
Otherwise, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

Transferring music from walkman to ipod

As my sister has a walkman and I would like to transfer some music into my ipod, but as the file is different, i cannot physically put the music onto itunes..
Could anyone help me how to put music from walkman to ipod ?

How are the Walkman music files different? Not MP3's - are in some closed/proprietary Sony music format?
The only way you can do this is by getting the music from the Walkman into your iTunes library. Certainly Sony has a technical support website for a Walkman, or try a Google search.

Error Message when transferring music from itunes to ipod

When i connect my ipod to itunes it will transfer some but not all songs from itunes to ipod. currently every song in my itunes library will transfer EXCEPT all songs from M-R and i get a unknown error message (-69). can anyone help. Thks.

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store. Synch the iPhone with your computer and make sure the app gets into the iTunes library. Then synch the iPod with that iTunes library.
Apps can't be transferred directly from iOS device to iOS device.

After upgrade with pacman -Syu, a lot of pacnew files in /etc.I read about this in archwiki but i'm still confused :S I have no idea how to use vimdiff or meld ...
Can someone explain me simple what to do with pacnew files.I'm new in arch linux and i need help.
