Transferring songs from Classic Ipod

Hi,
Can some one tell me how to transfer the Songs/Videos from my Classic Ipod to Iphone 4?! I have connected both in the same system and using ITunes 11?

With a nod to veteran poster Zevoneer...here's what you should know.
The transfer of content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod, but there are third-party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. Some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Check out the web pages for more info. This is just a sample of what's available. This is an old list, so I'm not sure which of these might now be obsolete, but it's a place to start.

Transferring songs from my Ipod to new hard drive

I had to remove work related programs (and my ipod library),from an office laptop computer I brought home. I transferred some stuff (including wife and kids itunes libraries), from the old home computer to the new (old)laptop,downloaded itunes and it restored their libraries. When I plug my ipod in to it I get the "itunes can only be on one computer" message and asks if I want to erase ipod songs and replce with this library (pretty sure it means my wife and kids). I authorized this computer and my ipod id came up, but then same message came up again. Anyone have any experience restoring itunes library on a new (old) machine from ipod?

If everything that is on iTunes that was on the library then pressing erase and sync will reload the iPod and link it to the library of your home computer. However if the content of the iPod is not on your computer when you get the that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Transferring songs from an iPod Mini

I have an iPod mini and used to have a PC. I recently bought a MacBook, and now have iTunes 8 on my MacBook. How do I transfer to the songs from my iPod mini and transfer them to my MacBook into iTunes?

What about iTunes purchases that you buy on your computer, I can not transfer any of those songs onto my daughters iPod that she gave me since she got an iPhone for Christmas and no longer uses her iPod. We reset it and erased all the data and now it will only transfer one song. Sorry for getting in on this thread, no one responded to mine when I asked the question.

You can't transfer content directly from your Mini to the Touch, if the songs aren't in iTunes on your computer you'll have to copy them back and load the Touch from there. Transfering songs from an iPod to an iTunes library.

I have a bit of a dilemna, my old hard drive crashed along with my entire iTunes library. I was able to put a new hard drive into the same computer and it works fine.
But I'm wondering, is there a way to transfer all of my old music/videos/art from my iPod Touch to my new iTunes library? I was able to transfer some of the ones I had bought from iTunes, but the majority of them came from places other than iTunes, and I'm not about to just 'erase and sync' several hundred songs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not saying the phone has been used on 5 computers, it's saying your Apple ID has been used to authorize 5 copies of iTunes on computers.
What is the message you're getting after re-authorizing the new computer?

Transferring songs from my iPod mini to my PS3

How do I get all the song titles and info for the songs on my iPod mini to come up on my PS3? Can I download iTunes on my PS3? When I connected my iPod to the PS3 some song titles came up but the majority of them did not. A lot of other songs said unsupported data and I think those are the songs that I downloaded off iTunes. I just got my 2nd gen ipod shuffle and im excited to have it. now i have a problem beacuse i have music on my ipod video that i would like to transfer to my shuffle, but the music is not in my libary. is there any way in itunes to transfer playlists from my ipod video to my computer or to transfer the playlist directly to my shuffle?

What computer OS are you using? Do you have the latest version of iTunes (v11.1)? There has got to be a reason for the disconnect in the music syncing. I would recommend resetting the sync history. If you are in Windows, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices, and there is a button there. Now, with the phone connected to iTunes and the phone selected in the Device pane, you go to the Summary page and down towards the bottom of the page, there is a Reset Warnings box. After doing that, try to sync music again. If there is a problem, with the warnings reset, it should show up if there is one.

How do you transfer songs from my iPod Classic to my new computer? The only songs that transfer are those that I purchased on iTunes. Is there a 3rd party website or something?

I am trying to transfer 3000 songs from my iPod Classic to my new computer. The only songs that transfer are those that I have purchased on iTunes (242 songs). Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is designed with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is purchased content.
