Transferring songs from my iPod mini to my PS3

How do I get all the song titles and info for the songs on my iPod mini to come up on my PS3? Can I download iTunes on my PS3? When I connected my iPod to the PS3 some song titles came up but the majority of them did not. A lot of other songs said unsupported data and I think those are the songs that I downloaded off iTunes. Thanks for help.

What about iTunes purchases that you buy on your computer, I can not transfer any of those songs onto my daughters iPod that she gave me since she got an iPhone for Christmas and no longer uses her iPod. We reset it and erased all the data and now it will only transfer one song. Sorry for getting in on this thread, no one responded to mine when I asked the question.

Deleting songs from an ipod mini

If I delete a song from my playlist for my ipod mini does that mean that when I reconnect my ipod to the computer and it updates the ipod then the deleted songs will no longer be on the ipod?
If this is not the case can someone tell me how to delete songs from the ipod mini.

There are 2 ways to go about this. One is to use the manual method which is a little different depending on whether or not you use a Mac or a PC or you can opt to use a 3rd party software that can help you accomplish the task as well. Transferring Library from Old iPOD mini to new computer...

My computer was fried about a month ago. My company's IT department replaced it, but I lost my library of iTUNES entirely from the hard disk. The whole library is of course on my old iPOD mini. I want to transfer the library from the old iPOD mini to my new computer and then, in turn, to my new NANO - which I am very excited about. I have installed the nano and the iTUNEs on my new computer. I am fearful that if I plug my old iPOD mini into the new computer, with the blank library, that it will erase the iPOD mini library. HELP!

DO NOT attach & sync your full iPod to an empty iTunes!!!

Extremely Simple Method: (just to recover the song files)
1 - Open iTunes
2 - Edit=>Preferences=>’Advanced/General’ tab
2a --- Select ‘Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library’: checked
2b --- Select ‘Keep iTunes Music folder organized’: checked
2c --- Click OK to store changes
3 - Attach your iPod to the PC and hold down the ‘Shift+Ctrl’ keys until the iPod is fully recognized (this will defeat the auto-sync process)
4 - If you get a dialog box to link the Library, decline this option
5 – Within iTunes: File=>Add Folder
6 - Browse to and open ‘My Computer’ (click on the ‘+’) and select the iPod
7 - Click OK
8 - The music files should start to transfer back into iTunes
8a –- this will take some time depending on your PC and the amount of songs on the iPod
No Playlists, or Ratings, Last Played, & Play Count attributes will be transferred from the iPod to iTunes using this method
After recovering your song files, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation (and many other potential disasters).
You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and only one other medium is not considered having any backup.
If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).
Backup both the music files and the Library database file (iTunes Library.itl). What are the iTunes Library files?

Transferring songs from my Ipod to new hard drive

I had to remove work related programs (and my ipod library),from an office laptop computer I brought home. I transferred some stuff (including wife and kids itunes libraries), from the old home computer to the new (old)laptop,downloaded itunes and it restored their libraries. When I plug my ipod in to it I get the "itunes can only be on one computer" message and asks if I want to erase ipod songs and replce with this library (pretty sure it means my wife and kids). I authorized this computer and my ipod id came up, but then same message came up again. Anyone have any experience restoring itunes library on a new (old) machine from ipod?

If everything that is on iTunes that was on the library then pressing erase and sync will reload the iPod and link it to the library of your home computer. However if the content of the iPod is not on your computer when you get the that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Transfer songs from a ipod mini that was created from another account

I bought a used ipod mini that came loaded with over 400 songs which I would like to add to my itunes MAC account. The ipod mini is in Windows format and I understand that at sometime in the future I will have to restore the ipod mini in order to convert the device from Windows to MAC format thereby losing all the songs and data that are currently on the ipod. My itunes level is 7.6.1. I am running OS X 10.4.5.
Is there any way to transfer or upload the songs from this device to my IMAC itunes account even though the songs were purchased and downloaded to the device by the original owner using his Windows itunes account.

Transfering songs from an iPod to an iTunes library.

I have a bit of a dilemna, my old hard drive crashed along with my entire iTunes library. I was able to put a new hard drive into the same computer and it works fine.
But I'm wondering, is there a way to transfer all of my old music/videos/art from my iPod Touch to my new iTunes library? I was able to transfer some of the ones I had bought from iTunes, but the majority of them came from places other than iTunes, and I'm not about to just 'erase and sync' several hundred songs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not saying the phone has been used on 5 computers, it's saying your Apple ID has been used to authorize 5 copies of iTunes on computers.
What is the message you're getting after re-authorizing the new computer?

I am trying to transfer my music library to my old iPod mini into my pc iTunes library. I havent ever connected this iPod to this pc. It hasnt been turned on in at least a year. The library is showing up in iTunes but not an option to transfer music to iTunes library. Any suggestions?

Transferring songs from i-pod mini to computer

I need to transfer my song list from my i-pod mini to my new IBook. The only issue is that I do not have the old computer. Is this possible without the I-Tunes library folder from the old computer?
