Transferring Starbucks ap to Passbook

There is a problem if you are a current Starbucks ap user with benefits (ie gold card).  When paying with the Starbucks card ap earned discounts are applied to the total.  If paying for the same item with the Starbucks card in Passport no discounts are applied and no rewards credits are issued.  For instance, I am charged for Soymilk when using Passport but not when using the Starbucks ap directly.  I have gone back to the Starbucks ap and put Passport on the shelf. Why pay more for purchases and get no credit when Passport is only marginally more convenient?

Seems like this mighty be a problem on Starbucks side and not a problem with Passport. I agree though that apps that take full advantage of Passport are very slow in coming.

  • Passbook show in lock screen option missing on starbucks

Is it just me, but when I re-added the starbucks passbook option back in to passbooks, my option for show in lock screen is missng.
I removed the starbucks option from passbook as it never worked for me using passbook.
Any idea on how to add the show in lock screen or did apple/starbucks remove the show in lock screen option?
    Thanks,

    Hi john991,
If you are having issues with passes not showing on your Lock Screen, you may find the following article helpful:
If your pass does not appear on the Lock screen, go to Passbook and select the pass there to scan it. Passes will not appear automatically if:
    Location Services is disabled
"Show on Lock Screen" turned off for that pass
The merchant does not support this feature

  • Passbook not showing up in lock screen at Starbucks.

I added my Starbucks card (via the Starbucks app) into Passbook. I also added several "favorite locations" to the card.  I have all necessary settings, including those in Notifications and Location Services, turned on as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5483.  However, when I walked into a Starbucks in my favorite list this morning, the card failed to appear in the lock screen. I had to open the Passbook app itself in order to use it.  Anything else I can do to get this working?  Passbook is a very cool idea but doesn't seem to work--might as well just use the Starbucks app.
    iPhone 4S running iOS6 (obviously)

I have an observation that may explain some issues, although it might not be the case for everyone.  I regularly visit 2 starbucks stores daily.  The first one I received a banner in the lock screen but the one on my way home I did not....well actually I saw a brief flash as I wss pulling in and then it was gone. I decided to go check the actual strabucks app for the area to add favorite stores which I am guessing how it sets up the geofence.  This other store's pin was several hundred feet further west of the location so I had already passed it...or was close to the outer edge which would explain the brief flash.  Just a theory but it may be some of the locations are off in the actual app.  I am also going to open a new post.....I get the banner at one of the stores but when I slide to unlock it just goes to the home screen.  I still have to browse for the app....isn't it supposed to launch after sliding to unlock? Thought that was the expected behavior otherwise I will just launch the starbucks app.

  • Why is my Starbucks Passbook card now showing my balance in US dollars?

About a week or two ago, my Starbucks Passbook card started to show my balance in US dollars (it's the exact Canadian dollar amount, but with "US" showing in front of the dollar sign)...as well, all balance update notifications are showing US dollars. I live in Canada, and have used the Starbucks Passbook card for close to 2 years...this has never happened before.
Last night I deleted my Starbuck Passbook card and then re-added it...when I went to bed it seemed to be working fine. However, this morning, it is back to showing my balance in US dollars.

I have contacted Starbucks twice, once before posting this issue here, and once after. Both times they have been unable or unwilling to assist. And this time they said "since Passbook is a third party app, you would have to contact them".
Can someone clarify if this would be an Apple issue or a Starbucks issue? My thought is that it's a Starbucks issue, as all my other Passbook apps are working fine.
The Starbucks app in Passbook is indeed a Starbucks product, so I'm a little puzzled by that. Unless you are seeing a similar issue with another app, or have your regional settings set to US, Starbucks would need to address the problem. I'd call back or use the link to the developer site posted in the app store. If you do not get an reasonable assistance, ask to move it up to the next level.
On the other hand, if the amount appears to be correct (i.e. it isn't actually converting to USD), it may be just a labeling issue and might not be worth your time to pursue beyond making sure the issue is reported (A review in the app store might push the issue a bit as well).

  • Why doesn't my starbucks app show in passbook?

I open Passbook and it just has the welcome screen with the link to download Apps for Passbook. I have already done that and downloaded Starbucks and it does not show up in Passbook. How can I add this app into Passbook so that when I am at Starbucks it recognizes and I can use it?
    Thanks!

Passbook keeps things like airline boarding passes, movie tickets, and gift cards all in one place, letting you scan your iPhone or iPod touch to check in for a flight, get into a movie, redeem a coupon, and more.

Apps aren't added to passbook, they can simply interact with it.
Take a look at the Starbucks app. There is probably an option to add your Starbucks card to Passbook.

  • I don't understand how the Passbook App work.  It makes no sense, and I cannot get any of my cards into the App.

I upgraded to the new iOS 6 and I have no clue how Passbook App works.  How does it work, how do you install your loyalty cards, plane tickets, etc?
In the commerical, they show Starbucks in the Passbook App, however when I open the app, all I can do is go to the App Store.  When directed there, Starbucks doesn't even appear.
    Help would be appreciated.

I got Walgreens into Passbook but then when I opened up Passbook to get another App the only screen it would show is Walgreens card.  So I deleted it and now I can't get any apps in Passbook.  I think it just plain ***** but I still like the iOS 6 platform better.

  • How to compatible apps for Passbook?

Hi.   I opened Passbook for the first time and was presented with a menu for tickets, loyalty cards, etc.  I successfully loaded my Starbucks card into Passbook.  When I now open Passbook, my Starbucks card immediately appears on my iPhone screen.  I do not see how to get back to the main Passbook menu so that I can load other loyalty cards into Passbook.  Probably quite simple, but I am not seeing it.  Anyone know how to get to the main Passbook screen?  Thx

You can download whatever the app you want from the Blackberry App World.
In device Blackberry App World, you can find the apps which are available for your device.

  • Why doesn't my reminders app show a badge?

My reminders app is enabled in the notifications center and "show badge app icon" is enabled but whenever a reminder goes off on my phone no red badge pops up to show me. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this. I'm using ios7.0.2 with iPhone 5s

  • My Starbucks Passbook balance on my 4S did not transfer to my new 5S.

I bought a new iPhone 5 and gave my 4S to my daughter. The 4S had a $ balance on the Starbucks app from within Passbook. I had backed up my 4S to iCloud from within iTunes and subsequently "restored' my data to the new iPhone 5. My Contact, Calendars, Email, Music, Pictures were transerred to the 5 as expected. The apps stored on iCould had to be reactivated but no problem. HOWEVER, the Starbucks app from within Passbook (with a $ balance) did not transfer, even after signing in to the Starbucks app on the new iPhone 5. I lost the $ balance. The 4S was 'wiped' clean before giving it to my daughter, however she could briefly see the Starbucks balance on the phone once activated. I believe this Passbok platform is unique to each device and cannot be transferred. Conclusion: make sure your Passbook $ balances have been depleted before upgrading from a 4S phone to a 5. Comments???

Does the balance show up as zero in both Passbook and the Starbucks up or does it show up correctly in your Starbucks app on the new phone?  If the latter, you could try removing the pass from Passbook (tap i and then tap the trash icon) and then re-adding it from the Stabucks app (Go to Card tab and then tap Manage, then Add to Passbook).  Hope that helps.

  • The office building I work in is too close to my favorite Starbucks and Passbook is constantly offering to load the Starbucks card every time I turn on my iPhone.  What can I do?

The office building I work in is too close to my favorite Starbucks and Passbook is constantly offering to load the Starbucks card every time I turn on my iPhone.  What can I do?  I'm sure the phone is using Location Services way more than I want it to.

    in OS 6 Go to
Settings>Privacy>Location Services scroll to Starbucks and slide to off.

  • Starbucks card barcode disappeared in Passbook

I have  Starbucks card loaded into Passbook, and the total on the card is correct (I just used it yesterday), but the barcode has suddenly disappeared, rendering the card unusable.  The only information I have on the card is the last four digits showing on the Passbook version of the card.  Any suggestions on how to get back the barcode would be very welcome. Thanks!

What trouble shooting steps have you taken? Logged out of the Starbucks app and back in? Deleted it and reinstalled? Reset your phone?

  • Using Passbook on multiple devices with one Apple ID?

My wife and I each have an iPhone 4S, and we each have an iPod Touch. We use a single Apple ID on all devices (mine). I'm the only one that's really even using Passbook, but Passbook alerts are popping up on all four devices. When I use my Starbucks card, all 4 devices receive the alert. When I use my AMEX, all four devices are alerted. I want to either disable Passbook on three of the four devices, or figure out how to tie Passbook on those devices to a secondary Apple ID.

If you want to share an apple id, but not passbook, you can turn off syncing on her device under settings > iCloud > passbook.

  • Transferring Purchased Music from iPhone to new hard drive

Hard-drive burned up and has been replaced. Most music was backed up, but not all. And most of the new music (that hasn't been backed-up) is on the iPhone. But I can't copy the files on my iPhone back to my new hard drive. Obviously there are security measures to keep folks from transferring files all over the place. But it seems that if it's on my iPhone, I must have obtained it legally, and there must be some accommodation for a dead hard drive.
Same question for my iPhone apps. I'd rather not pay for apps twice, and iTunes won't let me copy them from my iPhone back onto my 'puter. As soon as I sync apps, they'll all disappear, unless there's some way to convince the phone that it's looking at the old, pre-burned-up-hard-drive.
File>Transfer Purchases sort of worked, but not completely. I have about 600 songs on my iPhone, and it copied about 200 of them to my new hard drive. I have music purchased from iTunes, music copied from purchased CDs, and free downloads (Starbucks, Paste, etc). And there's no trend in what got copied and what didn't. Some of each category was copied, but not all. Very confusing that I can't find a pattern.
    OS X 10.5.8, iPhone 3G with 3.1.3

Apps issue solved. Or, more accurately, it's a non-issue. iTunes prompts you that you already bought the app and can download it for free. Not so with music, I'm afraid.

  • How do I change the order of multiple cards in Passbook?

    Hi,
I have two Starbucks cards loaded into Passbook - one of US currency and the other Canadian. The problem is I live in Canada and when I want to pay at Starbucks via my iPhone's Passbook, the card with US currency always show up first. The Starbucks card with US currency on it was an e-gift so I need it in my Passbook in order to use it (and it may also come in handy when the exchange rate is lower). But it gets somewhat annoying at times, especially when I am in a hurry.
Is there a way to to change the order of how the cards show up (i.e. have my Gold card with CDN $ show up first)? Please note that I have tried removing both cards from Passbook and added them in the preferred order, but it did not work.
    Thank you.

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.
