Transfers proposal from production storrage to shipping storrage.

  Dear all,
I work for the shipping department in my company and I would like to do some change in our
procedure.
Here is the structure of SLoc: We have a main shipping storage (Lean WM) which one is the
number 2000 and we have many production storages (MM) 2001, 2002, 2003, etc.
From time to time we have requirement for goods are located in MM stock (ex: 2001) these
MM stock are not manage by my team and are located somewhere else in our different
buildings.
I would like that every requirements are made for our shipping storage 2000 and that
the system propose transfers stock from MM stock to shipping stock to cover the
needs in shipping stock 2000. Ex: 2001 à 2000.
Do you know any solutions to do it? I know the transaction MF60 that analyse the need in
stock X and show the Qty missing in this stock X. Then you can propose transfer
from stock Y to stock X.
This transaction would be perfect for me, but it only analyse the need for
Production order, but don’t check the need for Transfer Order.
My English is not perfect so I hope that you have understood my problem.
If anyone know a solution, please let me know.
Thank you.
Best regards

Hi Vincent,
You may try with LP22 transaction.
This transaction basically is used for replenishing based on outbound deliveries in shipping.
Here as well, it is a Fixed Bin replenishment.
You are only to provide Fixed Bin details along with Fixed Bin storage type and it would check the bin situation. I may advise you to create a storage type near MM storage location which would be acting as PSA (Production supply area).
LP22 Transaction
Short text
Replenishment Planning for Fixed Bins
Purpose
You can use this report to create transfer requirements for the replenishment of fixed bins in which stock removals based on relevant deliveries are taken into consideration before picking takes place.
The report only considers fixed storage bins and planned picks for these in addition to the current stock situation. The number of deliveries that are considered to initiate these stock removals can be limited based on various selection criteria. The system considers transfer requirements that have already been created for replenishment as future stock.
You can use this report, for example, at the end of the workday to create replenishment transfer requirements to supply fixed bins for the following day. This way, you can retrieve an overview of the planned replenishments.
This report does not resolve any exact time planning or control of replenishments. You must still organize and carry out the physical replenishment. To post the replenishment in the system, you must create a transfer order for the transfer requirement and confirm it once the replenishment has taken place.
A goods movement from one source storage type to a fixed bin in a fixed bin storage type is considered to be a fixed bin replenishment. You enter the fixed bin storage type into the selection screen of the report. As far as this report is concerned, the source storage type is irrelevant; the source storage type is not determined until the transfer order is created for the transfer requirement using the material-dependent stock removal indicator.
You can use two customer exits to change the way the system processes data to match your needs.
In the first customer exit ((EXIT_RLLNACH2_001, enhancement MWMRP001) you can change the internal table of relevant delivery items. For example, you can add or delete items or change the quantities of the items.
In the second customer exit (EXIT_RLLNACH2_002, enhancement MWMRP002) you can change the internal table of material items with data such as total quantity for replenishment, material quantity and number of transfer requests.

  • Transfering data from Production to QA for testing

    Hi all,
We're doing support pack testing on our systems but unfortunatly the data in QA is very old so we'd like to transfer new data to test with.
After looking around it looks like we need to do Profile copy, is that all what I need? Or should we do a whole backup/restore DB from Production to QA?
Do I need any other 3rd part tool?
Do I need to do only a copy data or do I need to change some configurations? Like Source System,Central System,  Instance confugration?
    Thank you much!

    Hi samer,
If you want to transfer data only ( without configuration ) between systems, then you need Third party.
and as far as I know, there is two options :
    a) a full client copy, which system admins are reluctant to do on a weekly basis
    b) a third party product like EPI-USE, Arinso Transfer tool. It works fine for master data, Payroll and Time Data but for OM data, it is a distaster. But at least, I can download pernr at will, when troubleshooting.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards

I will pass only the Prod Order as input. And I should get the Sales Order information... Very important is I need the schedule Line Number along with the Sales order and item.
    To recap once again,
In MD04..or in BAPI MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API, I pass the input
    WERKS - Plant Code
    MATNR - Material Id
    Output should be like this,
    MRP element                                     MRP Element Data
    PrdOrder                                           OrderNumber/OrderType
    CusOrder                                          Salesorder/Item/ScheduleLine1
    CusOrder                                          Salesorder/Item/ScheduleLine2
    PrdOrder                                           OrderNumber/OrderType
so with the output, how can I find the Salesorder/Item/ScheduleLine for a particular prod order? I think I am clear with my question.

  • How do you stop 'Transferring Data from...' in toolbar on first page of a website - eventually stops but takes a minute then loases some images on a site when complete - other browsers are fine.

Only happens on index page of website - Firefox repeatedly says 'connecting to site/transfering data from site in the status bar for about a minute before finally 'done', then some images on the index page are missing. All other browsers are fine - how do you turn off this problem in Firefox - there is nothing to download on the index page, already displayed but can't continue unless you jump to another page in the site. Searched web and many references to this but no definate answer. Code is same on all pages of site, just the index page which hangs.

  • Transferring Data from old iMac to new iMac via Firewire

I am having difficulty transferring data from my old iMac to my new iMac via firewire. Per the instructions contained in migration assistant, when I hold down the letter "T" key during startup of the "old" mac the firewire symbol does not appear. Given that the firewire symbol does not appear I am unable to proceed with the transfer. Of note, my new Mac is the '09 24" iMac and my old iMac is the early 2006 model with the 17" screen. Incidentally, I am using the following cable contained in the attached link along with the adaptor (400) with respect to my old iMac.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi Todd
Not sure why that wouldn't work, but it could be that cable and adapter setup as the Early Core Duo only supports firewire 400.
You should try a 9 to 6 Pin Bilingual FireWire Cable:

  • Problems transferring data from MacBook Pro to MacBook Pro

I just bought a new MacBook Pro and I am having problems transferring data from my old MacBook Pro. I am using an Apple Thunderbolt to FW adapter to hook both computers and I am using the Migration Assistant. Everything looked ok until the "Transferring Your Information" screen got stuck. It says that it is "Transferring your Application folder..." And it has been stuck for at least the last two hours giving a message that says "About 3 minutes remaining..." This is starting to get ridiculously annoying. Options?

I guess I am finding my own way as time progresses and frustration increases but these are two things that I have found so far:
    1. Transfering from one machine to another does not seem to be the most efficient way to do this so using the TimeMachine backup must be the way to go...
    HOWEVER
    2. In this process I also found another "complication" called: Legacy FaultVault - My computer is encripted and I used this now so called "Legacy FaultVault" app to do it (when it was no a Legacy!). The thing is that you can not transfer documents from your TimeMachine backup to your new Mac if the Legacy Fault Valut is active on your old machine so you first need to desactivate the encription. HOWEVER, this brought another issue...when I tried to desactivate the encription using the Legacy FaultVault screen I got a message saying that I did not have enough disk space to allow me to do that....Isn't that great??? This is a problem by itself and it seems to have some sort of solution I was reading about (not straight forward at all). What I am trying to do now is to copy the folder that contains my files and just paste them on my new machine to see if that works....it looks like my apps are on my new machine, unsure if they are working...need to test this next....
I guess the transfer machine to machine could have sorted out the conflict eventually...after tens of hours or maybe not! Who knows....
    A very frustrated Apple fan...
I love Apple products but this is an ISSUE...I feel like there is lack of adecuate documentation around to deal with this or the data transfering apps should be able to deal with this on a more efficient way....just saying...

Migration Assistant: Problems transferring data from PC (XP SP3) to new Mac Pro 2012 - can not get Migration Assistant to work as PC will not display verfify passcode
Hello, I am having problems migrating data from my old PC running XP (SP3) to my new Mac Pro 2012 using the Migration Assistant.
    - I downloaded and installed the Windows Migration Assistant from Apple
    - My Mac recognized PC and displays passcode
    - The sasscode does not show / display on my PC
    - My Mac is then stuck in "authenticating" loop and the PC is stuck "waiting for Mac to connect."
    - Both computers are connected on same network (have connected PC on WIFI and using ethernet to Reuter)
I have looked on support site and only response I saw says to reinstall Windows Migration Assistant (which I have done)
Any ideas?  If cant get this to workare there instructions for manually bring across relevant data eg itunes music and apps, photos, picasa data etc?

Why not turn off the Windows firewall and uninstall any other firewall software you have installed?
If you are using a Norton product uninstall it and discard it. To fully unistall most Norton products you have to go to the Norton website and download a soecial program to completely get rid of it. The normal uninstall feature built into the program will not remove all of it.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is designed with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

  • Output proposed  from customer master

    Hello SDN!
I could not find output info in customer master.
Can I check with you if output can be proposed from the customer master when creating a sales order?
Or the only way output is determined is from output determination procedure where customer code can be one of the key condition record fields?
    regards
    Ravi

    Hi,
Please go through the below Configuration process for Outputs
Output is a form of media from a business to one of its business partners. Ex: Printouts, Faxes, Telexes, E u2013 mails and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). The Output determination component offers output functions for Sales, Shipping and Billing to help in manage sales transactions with our customers and within the organization.
Output can be sent to any of the partners defined in the document.
Outputs are usually in the form of order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices and shipping notifications. The output determination component offers output functions for sales, shipping transportation and billing to help in manage sales transactions with our customers and with in the organization.
We can create output. We can group output.Employers can send/receive output.
Output directly linked to the corresponding sales transaction Ex: Trough EDI.
System automatically proposes output for a sales and distribution document.
System uses condition technique to determine output.
We use output type to control how the output should be transmitted.
    Ex: Via EDI, be printed.
We can determine output for all kinds of objects in SAP u2013 SD. Ex: For sales activities sales documents delivery documents and billing documents.
We can determine output, we can process output, and we can send output.
SAP uses condition technique to determine output.Output types can be Inquiry, Quotation, Order confirmation, Shipping document, Billing document, etc.The output can be sent through transmission mediums.
Ex: Local printer, Fax, Telex, E u2013 mail, SAP inbox or even to SAP.
Output determination closely integrated with technical module as technical consultant prepares the output format in SAP script or smart forms.

Failure in Data Movement and not in Table structures.
I have tried using most of the Valid and consistent ODBC and OLE Providers from Microsoft & From Oracle... but still have problems.
Even The Oracle Migration Assitiant from Access 97 dose not work properly.
    Any commenets please ???

    Anil,
OMWB has an inbuilt collision manager, that will check for conflicting words and aptly replaces them with an alternative word.
OMWB also allows users to change these words once you finish performing capture. In this particular case, when you capture the view with the name 'rule', you can go to the oracle model in omwb and change the name to "rule1" or anything that is desirable, preferably those words that do not conflict with the oracle d/b's reserved words.

  • Create Handling unit after receiving finished goods  from production

    Hello,
My client's requirement is that they do not want a TR or TO to get created at the time of Production order confirmation and neither they want to create the Handling unit at the time of confirmation.
They want to move the material from production to warehouse as one Handling unit after multiple confirmations. They want to create Handling unit manually after the receipt of materials.
What is the process of creating Handling unit after we have FG (multiple batches).
After creation of Handling units, my client wants to ship the same Handling unit out to customer.
    How to create Handling unit
    Regards
    Prabhjot Singh

    Hi,
If I understand right - customer wants a simple transfer of finished goods from production to warehouse, and latter pack into handling units.
    Possible scenario:
    1) Assign production order to non-WM and non-HU storage location. Post GR for production order using transaction MIGO (mvmt. type 101) for a whole quantity produced for production order.
    2) Setup packing table in IMG (Logistic General > Handling Units > General > Setup packing table> ...) --> packing table is a functionality for packing goods into HU - it takes goods from predefined source non-WM/non-HU location, packs them into HU and places them in target WM-HUM location.
    2) Maintain packaging instruction (trans. POP1 and POF1) to automate the packaging quantities.
    3) Run packaging table by HUPAST, select your table and pack.
    4) Packed HU ends up on WM-HUM location.
This process can be done either in SAP GUI (HUPAST) or you can build it in RF transaction and run it with mobile RF scanner (ABAP development required).
Hopefully this will be of any help.
    Regards, Primoz

  • How to copy master data backwards from production to QA

    Hello BI community,
Our transactional QA system was refreshed with a database copy of production, and the BW landscape was not refreshed.  We cannot refresh the BW QA system because the production BW database is far too large to be duplicated.
So I'm searching for a way to bring all of the MASTER DATA up to date in the BW QA environment, without performing manual reloads.
Would it be possible to perform a copy of just the P,Q, X, Y, and T tables from production database to QA ?  I believe this would cause inconsistencies with the S tables.  But then, to copy the S tables backwards from production to QA would cause inconsistencies with the transational data providers.
Is it possible to do a "client copy" in BW where only the master data is transferred ?  I think we'd be comfortable with reloading all new transactional data as necessary, just as long as the master data were brought back in its entirety from production to QA.
Any thoughts our guidance will be greatly appreciated !
    Thanks,
    Keith

big thanks to everyone who has replied, and especially for this suggestion!
The reason why we don't load the data from BW production is simply a matter of volume.  It's a 7 TB data warehouse, and the master data sizes are huge.
One other option I was thinking of, since I used to be a basis guy, is to copy the entire production database and then delete, delete, delete away the transactional data until it's all gone.  The only thing needed after that is a database real work to give the space back.  Of course, the basis guy see that as a last resort
I'll try this suggestion above & then report back with the results... but I'm afraid the data sizes, again, will be prohibitive.  We'll see.

  • Settings for Item Proposal and Product Proposal

    Hi Gurus,
How to do the configuration settings for Item Proposal and Product Proposal.
I also want to know what is the difference between Item Proposal and product Proposal.
    Give me your Solution.

Item proposal is the list of regularly/frequently ordered items of a particular customer. this will be useful when u are entering the sales order. it will be used to speed up the order entry process.
For that Goto VA51, enter item proposal type as MS and sales area details.
enter the customer name and the list of products and save. Assign the item proposal No in the customer master sales area data, sales tab.
create the sales order  and enter the customer no and press the propose items button in the sales order.
the system will propose one box and it will display all the materials. then u can continue further.
    Product proposal:
To configure product proposal, Go to IMG,SD, Basic functions, Dynamic product proposal, Maintain all the settings
**A product proposal is a list of products for a specific customer that is automatically proposed during sales document processing. You can decide for yourself which materials should be displayed as product proposals in the sales document. You can also determine the sequence in which the materials appear in the product proposal.
During sales document processing, the system displays a product proposal in the item overview according to the customer and the business transaction. It displays the material number, material description, and historical order quantites in the sales unit last used. To use a material again, you just have to copy it. The system does not run the standard checks (pricing, availability, incompletion, material determination, free goods determination and so on) until you have entered the order quantities.
The product proposal is both an entry help and an aid to sales support and promotions. It is particularly useful in Telesales, where the employee automatically receives a display of all the materials that are of interest to a particular customer. This helps them to provide appropriate advice to the customer quickly and easily. The sales document history enables you to analyse the purchasing behaviour of a customer and recognize early on if it changes, for instance, when the customer suddenly stops ordering a product.
The product proposal differs to cross-selling in that it is dependent on the customer and sales area, and is displayed in the sales document as soon as you have entered a customer. Cross-selling, on the other hand, is triggered by a material. In other words, the system proposes cross-selling materials according to the material or a characteristic of the material you have entered.
You can determine the product proposal from different data sources:
    Order history
    Listed materials
    Excluded materials
    Item proposal
    Customer-material info records
    Customer-specific data sources
You can combine materials from these data sources to create a product proposal. The system then accesses the data sources either online or in the background.
To define a product proposal for sales document processing, you must carry out the following activities in Customizing:
Define customer procedure for product proposal
Define document procedure for product proposal
Assign document procedure for product proposal to order types
Maintain table of origin for product proposal
Define product proposal procedure and determine access sequences
Maintain procedure determination (in background) for product proposal
Maintain procedure determination (online) for product proposal
The product proposal procedure determines how the system displays the product proposal in the sales document. For instance, if the system has accessed the order history, it determines how many columns should be displayed in the sales document, in which period intervals thehistoric order quantities should be displayed (for instance, day, week, or month), and most importantly, the sequence in which the system should access the data sources (for example, order history, listing, exclusion).
The product proposal procedure depends on the:
    Customer determination procedure
The customer procedure determines which product proposal procedure the system automatically uses when you create a sales document for a particular customer.
It is specified in the customer master record per sales area.
    Document determination procedure
The document procedure determines which product proposal procedure the system automatically uses for a certain document type. The document procedure is stored as a key in the header for the sales document type.
If you use online processing, the product proposal procedure is determined according to the customer and document determination procedures.
If you use background processing, the product proposal procedure is determined according to the sales area in the customer master and the customer determination procedure. It does not use the document determination procedure because the document type is not recognized in background processing.
    Difference:
Item proposal is the list of products the customer used to buy frequently.
Product proposal is also the list of products but it will explode in the sales order, once u enter the sold to party field. But this will be based on the following criterias.
    Order history
    Listed materials
    Excluded materials
    Item proposal
    Customer-material info records
    Customer-specific data sources
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Node1 is down from production in RAC

    Dear all,
We have two nodes Oracle RAC 10gr2. Due to bug in network package, we happen to update node1 OS ( 2.6.9.42 to 2.6.9.55 ) by investigation with OS team, Now both node having kernel difference as above, node2 is older and node1 is little higher, node1 isolated from production,
We need to bring node1 in production or what are other solution to over come kernel version difference.
Problem: Now the node1 is down from production its kernel is new from node2.
What will be the solution of this to bring node1 up?

    I need you guys assistance.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
We have two nodes Oracle RAC 10gr2. Due to bug in network package, we happen to update node1 OS ( 2.6.9.42 to 2.6.9.55 ) by investigation with OS team, Now both node having kernel difference as above, node2 is older and node1 is little higher, node1 isolated from production, As your OS support carried out the research why can't you opt for scheduled restart of RAC instances. Certainly I am not sure what might have happen at your end.
Problem: Now the node1 is down from production its kernel is new from node2.As your new Kernel is up and running, does you OS comes up, then try to check whether at initial stage cluster services up and running or not ?
If not then try to check intially as you stated across bug in network whether it got resolved or not, If yes, then go head with Oracle dependent services are able to come up to not. Difference/Issue in network would not drop the network communication perhaps it would have been effected network transfers band width.
Any how, Once you cluster can up then carry on with proper shutdown of node2 and patch it up.
