Hi,
If i want to send a personal identity nr as a claim to a web application, is it possible to remove the year-part of the number when sending the claim.
For example if the attribute has a value of 191212121212 i would like to send it as 1212121212.

How to get edited row values from ADF table?

I have a table which is populated with data from Bean.
I need to save changes after user make changes in any table cell. InputText is defined for table column component.
I have defined ValueChangeListener for inputText field and AutoSubmit=true. So when user change value in inputText field, method is called:

Problem is that getSelectedRow method doesnt get new (edited) values, old values are still used.
I have tried to use ActiveButton with same method and it works fine in that case. New values are selected from active row and inserted into object.

Did you look into the valueChangeEvent?
It has oldValue and newValue attributes.

I have created an adf task flow. Now I want to run some query in that based on the logged in userId.

3 different ways to retrieve the username (not sure what you mean by user ID) :

Also provide your JDev version.
Basicly, you should use the groovy expression in a view criteria (it's the fastest and easiest way) and call that view criteria whenever you need it.
That's if you are using ADF BC of course.

Hi i am bit struggle with filtering LOV values in ADF Faces UI.
I have table In UI ,that is from ADF BC .Now i am Filtering that table data using Select one choice in same page.That SOC is named Type App: ,So according to selection of Type in SOC table have to display.This portion is done.But my requirement is ,when i got perticular result table ,i want to add one more row related to that type only,so for that i had take popup and drag datacontrol as a form.In that form first column is Select one choice ,select Items will come from BC table.So here i want to filter those LOV values according selection in Type SOC.Suppose Type SOC contain Type1,Type2 values,then when i am selectin Type1,Type1 related date willl diplay on table,now click on ADD button popup will open and in that Type SOC will Dispaly only Type1 related values not Type 2 type values.Type1,Type2 values come from same Table.
Here i am asking every one,please do help.

... I got "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: "EMPLOYEES"."MODIFIED_DATE": invalid identifier ", using the example application in BindVarDefaultsInUIApp-v0.02.zip .

How to transform attribute values in OIM?

I need to transform the values received for OrgUnit to AD format and then perform provisioning.
Example: I receive OrgUnit: it/admin/oracle/com.
I need to convert it to the following AD format before provisioning user to the correct OU
OrgUnit: ou=it,ou=admin,dc=oracle,dc=com
Question: Do I have to write java code to perform this transformation or can I create a lookup table that maps all expected OrgUnit values to the AD format values and have AD read that lookup table. Any thoughts on performing this transformation using OIM features instead of java code are appreciated.

How to display default value on ADF UI?

How can I display a default value on ADF UI? means upon a web page loaded, the default value should appear in a certain control (e.g. input text) without any user action.
I tried to assign a value through the backbean constructor but seems not working.

The natural way would be to set the default value in the underlying model (which you did not mention). If you are using adfbc you can set default values e.g. in EO or VO. These values are then transferred into the UI.
This would be my preferred method.
You can also set default values in a bean method, but not in the constructor. Use a public method (e.g. init) to set the default values and call it as start activity in a bounded task flow. This ensures that each time you start the task flow the values are set.

DPS: transform attribute value - more than sub-string - more like awk/sed

We have been working on using DirProxy to transform telephoneNumber from "(XXX) YYY-ZZZZ" format to a "Y-ZZZZ" for our VoIP call manager and and have been successful.
How we find out that our VoIP phones have feature that lets users search by phone number. The problem is that there is no way to input a dash (-) character on the phone so we would like to be able to translate from the "(XXX) YYY-ZZZZ" format that is stored in LDAP to "YZZZZ",
Anyone have suggestions on how to do this? (We know we can create a local attribute in the LDAP master in the format YZZZZ and have DPS return that attribute as telephoneNumber, but we are hoping we can do the transformation on the fly.)

I'm on the roads for a few weeks and have limited bandwith but here is what I did recently with the DPS version not released yet. Hope this works with DPS 6.3
I created 3 transformations and associated them with the dataview, assuming phoneNumber looks like (XXX) YYY-ZZZZ
In the example below, reworked number is returned in attr yz
- step1 : extract trailing Y
- attribute name : y // temp attr
- model : mapping
- transformation: add value
- viewValue : substring(${phoneNumber}, 7, 8)
- internalValue: ${xxxx} // dont care
-step2 : extract ZZZZ
- attribute name : z // temp attr
- model : mapping
- transformation: add value
- viewValue : substring(${phoneNumber}, 10)

Note that this would work for searches only, and when the reworked attr is not present in the search filter.

You can achieve the use case you describe with partial page rendering (PPR), a feature of the ADF Faces framework. Here are a few posts that achieve an interactive behavior using PPR. Off the top of my head I do not know of an exact example, but this should be a good starting point:

Not able to get the value in ADF taskflow on load

Hi,
I have created an ADF task flow. I have created a ViewObject in this ADF taskflow and I am setting the value of this ViewObject using the java API.
The issue is that i need to show the data when this ADF task flow executes first time.
Currently I am getting the blank table in jspx page when ADF task flow is run. Now when I click on a button then I can see the required data in the table.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Looks like it is not able initialize the table until the jsff page gets loaded.
Does jsff page gets loaded after bean constructor method gets called ?

Passing value from ADF to BPEL, and to PL/SQL

1. I have created BPEL which take 2 inputs and concatenate them.
2. have created a PL/SQL procedure for invoking this BPEL( working fine).
Now i need to create a simple ADF page which contain 2 text box, 2 for input and 1 for result(concatenate), this will take 2 inputs and send them into BPEL, this will invoke the BPEL process and perform the necessary concatenate function...
in addition to this, i am passing code into PL/SQL procedure ...

Three simple steps you need to do :
1) Generate proxy for your bpel process in Jdeveloper.
2)Create simple ADF page with 2 input for taking value and a input for showing the result and one command button.
3) In backing bean on command button action, get value from two inputs, pass the in the proxy service and update the the the third input with the result of service.

Unable to display the ClobDomain value in adf table

Hi ,
I have a database table whose column is Clob. Accordingly the Entity Attribute and VO attribute are of type. oracle.jbo.domain.ClobDomain
Now this VO is wired as a ADF Table in jsff page. I am setting the value programmatically inside the AM by using the following.

Now at the UI level, I was able to print the value of the attribute inside a bean code. However, in the adf table, this cell is always empty. But if i try to set the value through UI then it works.
If i make the inputText readonly then it displays the value.
Am i missing something.

How to get BPM Payload attribute value in ADF TaskFlow

Hi,
           Activities which I did : I have created ADF Project. Then I created ADF TaskFlow through 'ADF TaskFlow Based on Human Task' option by locating BPM task. So now TaskFlow is been generated and also respective dataControl value also generated. In TaskFlow I created new .jspx file. I am going to design this jspx page by drag and drop from VO instances from dataControl. So for this jspx page, at runtime value will be populated from DB Table.
                  My Requirement : When the Flow initiated, there will be Parameter value passed to the TaskFlow through Payload which is available in DataControl. So now I based on the Payload parameter value I need to filter DBTable and show the respective value in jspx page which I created in TaskFlow. So getting Payload value and applying filter on VO based on Payload parameter value has to be done before rendering Page.
I tried to achieve this schenario as like below :
       - Assume like there is attribute called 'transactionId', for which value will be passed to the TaskFlow through DataControl. I created VO based on EO and appended where clause as : "VO.Trans_Id = : bindVar". Created bindVariable called 'bindVar'. In jspx page I just Drag and Dropped VO instance as form. And also I drag and Dropped 'transactionId' as outputText from Payload. And also I created ExecuteWithParams in Binding section of PageDef and mapped that one with invokeAction item in executable section. So now both payload Iterator and invokeAction will be created in PageDef. I kept Iterator as in the order of : PayloadIterator at first and InvokeAction second one, So that at runtime it will execute in that order. And also I given "refresh" property to payloadIterator and invokeAction to 'renderModel' and I mapped PayloadIterator id to refreshAfter property of InvokeAction iterator. Now at runtime, So at runtime updated/Newvalue will be retrived to Payload attribute by executing payloaditerator. So now for 'transactionId' value vill be retrieved. Next invokeAction will take value from newly retrieved 'transactionId' as input and execute query. So now VO will be filtered and need to be shown. But instead of that getting error saying like 'No outcome metadata specified for method call activity 'null'.'
Is this way is correct? If yes, then What mistake which I have done?
Is any other way to acieve this schenario?

Guessing you might have looked at this at some point, but you might want to consider using the setCurrentRowWithKeyValue method to do this.
