Transitions not working in Premiere

Okay so, I have a sequence in premiere, and cross dissolve isn't working. I tried a few other transitions and they seemed to be working fine, but cross dissolve is the one that I need. There are effects in different parts of the sequence that were done in AE, but the specific group of clips that im working on have only been color corrected, which was done in PP. It lets me drag and place the transition like normal, but when i play it back it just jump cuts, even tho its showing the transition right where it should be. Also, it is working fine everywhere else in the project, its only in the clips that im trying to apply it to that it doesnt work. Any ideas?

Transitions not working in Premiere CS6.Video was color corrected in AE 6 and sent back to PPro cs6.

I exported my film to AE6 from Premiere CS6 for color-correction and got it back to Premiere Pro through DYNAMIC LINK.Now,the problem is that AE has discarded all the transitions and also cross-dissolve and film-dissolve don't seem to work on this color-corrected video.I am able to apply the transitions but they don't work....somebody please help!

As Jim said, not all effects and transitions are properly translated when you replace a group of clips with dynamically linked AE composition. Actually you should have noticed that your cross-dissolves etc. had been replaced with black solid layers in After Effects, which didn't reflect your PrPro transitions.
Now you can jump back to your AE project and fix broken transitions there.
For your future work you should keep it in mind and decide whether to replace a group of clips (and, therefore, fix broken transitions in After Effects) or a single clip, taking care of its handles.

Auto keyframe and auto transition not working

auto keyframe and auto transition not working and I have a creative cloud, in addition the auto keyframe works in the getting startel lessons....

In order to use these you need to have the autokey frame and transition selected
OFF ON
and have the first key checked then move the playhead to the new position and it should add the transition.

I updated my mac's OS to Yosemite and now my eye drop tool will NOT work inside premiere pro. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

The eyedropper tool for selecting colors to key out or to fill text will not work inside premiere pro, this error started when I updated my mac os to yosemite.

Does the error occur in OS X 10.9? If not, why not remain at OS X 10.9? Is it necessary to run OS X 10.10?
The general rule of thumb is that when you are running software that is no longer tested or supported on a new operating system, you have to prepare for anomalies like this. You may want to install a separate bootable hard drive with OS X 10.9 on it so you can continue running that software more reliably.

Premiere Elements 10 Transitions not working

I have added cross disolve transitions to Premiere Elements 10, and tried increasing duration, but does not seem to work (just vague blurring). I have recorded to DVD to see if transitions visible, but to no avail.
I have been successful in Premier Pro 4 and Serif X5, but wish to use Premier Elements as easier to split timeline and make cuts (tedious in PremierPro 4). Can't afford Premier Prof 5!!
Downloaded from Canon HV 30 HDV camcorder. Over 20 hours of video to edit!
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
There can be several reasons that a Cross-Dissolve (or some other Transitions) might not work.
One of the most common is that the user just makes a Cut, but does not alter the footage, and when they place the Cross-Dissolve over that Cut, there is not change, as the Frames have not changed.
The next is when one adds a Cross-Dissolve between Clips, that do not have adequate Handles, extra Frames, that are necessary for the Transition to function properly. This ARTICLE goes into more detail on Handles.
Do either of those situations have anything to do with what you are experiencing?
If not, can you post a screen-cap, showing the Clips, to which you are having issues with the Cross-Dissolve Transitions, and tell us exactly what you have done, prior to the addition of the Transition?

What are you trying to do?
The normal workflow is to only work on a single piece at a time in After Effects and then do your cutting and transitions in Premiere Pro.

Blackmagic ultra studio sdi not working with Premiere Pro 8cc or A.E.cc(2014) on win7 GT630m i7 laptop - But works in A.E.cc(12.2.1.5)

There's a problem with the new update, as I no longer can use my BM Ultra Stdio SDI for monitoring. It let me select it but no image just black frame, with the new premiere pro cc 8 or a.e. cc (2014)
But i have No Problem in A.E. cc (12.2.1.5) work find just like it should, So what has happen here ? My system is Win7 Ultmate Laptop i7 Toshiba Satellite p850, dual gpu's GT630m & Intel HD 4000
With the latest blalckmagic drivers installed (10.1.1) This needs to be looked into, there is no way of monitoring accurately .

While searching crashing issues I came across this thread,"Premiere Pro random crashing since update to 2014.2"
Marc_Lec Answered (and I paraphrase here)"...I had the same problem and this is what I did. In 'Preferences Memory' I increased the memory reserved for other application to at least half the installed and changed the optimize render from 'performance' to 'memory."
Thank You Marc_Lec for what has been a game changer for me since my last computer and the beginning of PremiereCC problems.
I changed my Memory reserved for Other Applications from the default 7gigs to 1/2 of my approx.31 available Gigs = 16Gigs. Viola!
No more crashing what-so-ever!
I still have to purchase an older GTX 980 graphics card to take advantage of Adobe's approved code to utilize X=Cuda Cores and GPU, but I think I'll hang onto my new TitanX, in hopes that Adobe will write code and approve it someday in the near future.
Now why doesn't Adobe say this officially about Memory Settings? (I don't know maybe they do and I missed I somewhere)
Mine and probably many peoples computers problems here on this board may be attributed to a simple Memory adjustment, because the computer needs more than 7Gigs to run itself, not to mention Premiere.

Media Encoder CS6 not working with Premiere

I have been merrily editing a lager job in Adobe Premiere CS6 and then queuing the time lines to export in media encoder CS6 done the entire job everything rendered fine then Bam all of a sudden when I try and render I get all the audio a couple of frames of video then just black!!
I have tried different codecs same result, I have tried different timelines same result, When I export directly out of Premiere without going through Media encoder all works fine, when I try encoding a file directly in media encoder works ok, It just seems to be the link between Premiere and Media encoder that not working as it should
Anyone got any ideas?

Any chance this gets fixed soon? I'm shooting with an AF-100, and at this point I'm still using Final Cut to transcode my footage so I can have audio. I've also noticed the video jumps around even when it does have audio. Prelude has been extremely problematic for me, and it doesn't have a way to bring in clips that returned errors upon importing, I have to write down the clip numbers and bring them in individually. I've also tried just dropping the file structure from the card straight to the hard drive. It's a huge problem, and is keeping me from making the switch fully from FCP 7.

Secondary color correction not working in Premiere CC

I'm unable to build secondary color correction masks in Three Way Color Corrector, RGB Curves etc in the current version of Premiere CC.
In any of these plugins, when I check "show mask" I get the usual white slate filling the frame. But when I use the color picker to make a selection the whole frame stays white. It appears that I'm making selections but it's not building the mask for some reason. When making an extreme color change I can see that the mask is not building as it affects the whole frame.
This started after upgrading to CC. I've recently updated to the most up to date version (yesterday) and am still having the same problem.

I have the same Problem new MAC OS Premier Pro CC or Premier Pro CS6 both have an issue with the Title Tool. If you open the title tool and try to make color changes or change size of the font it sticks at the default color and default font. SOmetimes the title tool will work and then when I exit it's back to the default first type location, default font and default color. Sometimes it will not even let me exit the Title Tool.
Please help I have Projects I'm working on Deadlines and I pay a monthly Fee for Software that works and it's not working.

Smart rendering for DNxHD quicktimes not working in Premiere Pro CC

Hi if I understand things correcty PPCC should be able to smart render DNxHD codec in a quicktime wrapper back . If so this does not appear to be working. I am noticing small differences if I pull in a DNxHD quickitme clip in to Premiere and just render straight back out again no effects just cuts as DNxHD Quicktime. My sequence is set up to be the same as the codec. Although I do notice that trying to set the exact settings for the quicktime codec is not easy as it resets back to the defaults of DNxHD 220 59.94i so maybe this has something to do with it and their is no option to choose the MXF setting for my medi a as Adobe have neglected to make a DNxHD115 preset.
If you look on the YC waveform you can see the changes occuring when you compare the two side by side. This however does not happen if you render out as Opt1a MXF as it does appear to smart render and when ingested back in you see no difference with the source DNxHD clip. I also notice that when you choose the Opt1a option it has an extra check box for smart rendering.
Anyone noticed this. It all works perfectly for ProRes quickitmes so just wondering why its not working for DNxHD quicktimes.

Here's what I have for you:
Smart Render support for DNxHD wrapped in QuickTime was added in Premiere Pro CC
You must have Avid codecs installed
No option to check to enable smart rendering is needed, Premiere Pro always tries to smart render by default
The first thing I would check is to see if the DNxHD (QuickTime) codecs are installed or not.

Camcorders that do not work in Premiere Elements 9

I would like to compile a list of camcorders that people are not getting to work in Premiere Elements 9.
I ONLY WANT TO HEAR FROM THOSE WHO ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH A PARTICULAR CAMCORDER AND PREMIERE ELEMENTS 9.
I just want to list the camcorder make and model to see what camcorders are not working in the program. I am not looking for help and for those who are having problems you need to post a new thread about them.
I would like to use this list so those that have a specific camcorder will be able to see if others have had problems with getting the same model to work with the program.

I recently installed PE9 but only tried to use today. For downloading, I have a couple of older Panasonic NV-DS60's. Neither of these camcorders worked and I thought it was a problem with the way I downloaded the software. But I get a driver error and a message informing me that camcorders used with PE9 must be capable of streaming video. Therefore I cannot load any video onto PE9 at all, so buying it was Adobe mistake No.3!!
I have uninstalled PE9 and re-installed PE7, which, although constantly crashing, at least allowed video to be downloaded. Anyone want a new version of PE9? It's as-yet unregistered.

Transitions not working, help needed

I updated to Snow Leopard and iLife 11 yesterday, my transitions on iMovie11 don't seem to be working, when I add them to the project they come up as a grey symbol with two small boxes overlapping each other. Anyone know what this is and how to fix?

CSS transitions not working on iPad

My CSS transitions are not working on the ipad at all
After a little research i'm wondering if this has to do with the z-index property of the elements i want to animate.
Could anyone tell me if i'm completely off-direction and/or what might be wrong.
The tabs on the bottom left corner of the page are supposed to animate up and display content, but they're not working at all... (work fine on desktops though)

Question: For this project, would you recommend providing separate CSS/using jquery to animate those sections under certain conditions only, or changing it alltogether and using jquery to animate the sections for all screens/devices?

Organizer Not Working in Premiere Elements 10 - Help?

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, 6 GB of Ram and installed Adobe Premiere Elements 10 a few days ago.
The Adobe Organizer is completely not working. Initially it hung when trying to import a clip, even a short clip, even after giving it several hours to do so. Tried this multiple times, including after a full uninstall then reinstall. Now when I start organizer, it won't even fully load. I get the icon in the taskbar, but the app won't open.
Interestingly, I can open a clip when working on a project without issue so far.
Two questions:
1. Anyone else running into these problems using Organizer. Is there a fix?
2. If I can't fix this, can I just ignore Organizer and just go straight to projects always. Am I missing out on signficant functionality if I do this? . I am still within my return period. If so, I can return and go back to Pinnacle (ugh - was hoping Adobe wasn't as buggy as Pinnacle).

If you have not done so yet, I would also post to the PS Elements Forum, as subscribers there might have some additonal tips for you. Barb__O, in that forum, knows about as much about Organizer, as anyone, who I have seen. Also, post the details of your computer, your OS, and the problem that you had with Shutterfly. Might be some useful details there.
I'd wait to let Steve Grisetti and Neale weigh in here, as I do not use Organizer, and really do not know that program.

USB Mic not working in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac

So I've been editing in Premiere Pro CS6 on a mac for 6 months now. I have to do a temp VO for a project and I thought I'd try the Narration feature in the mixer. For some reason my USB mic doesn't show up in the Audio Hardware so I can't pick it. The same mic shows up in the Mac Audio Settings and even shows up in Audition. I've been having to use Audition but was curious to see if anyone out there has gotten a USB mic to work in Premiere Pro on a Mac. Would be a really cool feature if it worked.

Some USB mics work fine, but many do not. It can depend on the exact mic, or might require a different ASIO driver (maybe something like ASIO4All?), or different ASIO setting, to work.
