Transitions showing up differently after rendering

Hello,
Sorry for the double post - I just wanted to make certain that I was making myself as clear as possible when stating my problem. It appears that when I put in a Cross Zoom to a clip, before rendering, it looks exactly as I want it. However, after it renders, it looks much different. Then, I undo the rendering, try it again, it looks fine. Render it, and it shows up different - is there anywhere I can search as to why this happening, and how I can fix it? It's really driving me sort of crazy, as I've never heard of this before -- ok, thank you!

can you force this transition problem?
Try starting a new project file> grab 2 clips (different than the ones you are using for the current problem)
put the cross-zom on there, see if it happens....
Then grab the original 2 clips you are having the issue with pull it in to this new project and do the same.
If the problem doesn't occur, you could possibly have a bad project file.
If the prblem occurs only on the original problem clips, then you may have bad media.
If the problem still exists on both old and new clips, then maybe its an app/system thing.

  • Colors in an image comes out different after rendering comp

Hey guys, having an annoying problem.
For a project, I've imported a jpeg file that I made on Photoshop. The colors look perfectly fine on the RAM previews and stuff but after I render it, just that specific jpg image comes washed out. It should be dark grey / almost black but after rendering into .mov that image becomes medium grey. It's noticeably more washed out and lighter. All the other colors in that image are also noticeably lighter as well.
Any ideas whats going on? I have set my working space to my monitors color profile and I have proofed the colors after saving on Photoshop.
Thanks! This is driving me nuts!

I send the composition to the Render Queue and do it from there. I have my render settings to "Best", and output module to "Lossless".
Regarding the codec, I'm not sure about that. How can I find out? Sorry this is my first time really with AE.
    EDIT: FIXED!
On the output module, I had it set to Quicktime before. I changed that to H.264 and the colors were fine after that. Whew!
Thanks for all your help Rick!

  • Rendering problem, changes do not show up after rendering?

I am new to this and can not figure out why the end result after rendering only shows the "original" movie clip, none of the editing i have done are showing up? when i scrub through the composition everything works fine? I have tried both the ordinary render queue in AE and Adobe media encoder.

Yeah I think I got it right with the rendering queue, however I saw something now that may have something to do with the problem, my corrections is visible when I have "fast draft" chosen under the "fast previews" button, when i change to "off (final quality" the effect disappears? I thought the choices under that button just is what it says, for fast previews?
I attach the screenshots you where asking for.

  • After updating my 5s it will not longer logon to free wifi at our local YMCA. It worked perfectly before and works at all other free wifi's. My wifes 5s works perfectly at the same Y but it shows a different IP address for their wifi than mine.

After updating my iphone 5s to ios8 it will no longer log onto the free wifi at my local YMCA. It works prefectly everywhere else. My wife's 5s works perfectly there but shows a different IP address for their router. Mine worked prefectly there before. What can be done?

  • My mac shows very colourful patterns and completely freezes my system. This bEgan after rendering footage went sour. My mac tries to restart itself but never works. Please help!

hey team? My MacBook Pro is completely lame after rendering footage out of Adobe premier pro cc14 ( the legit one).
2.6ghz 8 gig ram and 1 terabyte. The footage was 4k go pro stuff. since then and now every time i successfully turn on my mac; patterns appear and violently change as if possessed. It is actually quite impressive. The one thing I remembet doing was in limiting the kb per second from the 10,000 to unlimited. this I fear may have caused my computer to burn eight theoug  the graphics card.
I Took it to a place to get fixed ( core ) in New Zealand - who couldn't determine anything theafter because they never had the glitch when try used it. Still chargede though- So never use them.
    Thoughts?  Please : /

    Try SMC and NVRAM resets:

It would be helpful if you indicated the exact MBP that you have and the OSX.

  • Preview in Browser and Adobe Browser Lab show website differently? Please help

Hi...working on my first website and I have a question about the differences in viewing the site through
    choosing file...preview in browser....
from within Dreamweaver, and using the Adobe Browser Lab to view the website.
There seems to be a very significant difference between the two. When I preview firefox from within dreamweaver, my site is just how I want it.
When I go to browser lab, it is...well... a disaster.
I'm attaching screenshots of the two as well as my code, so it can show how different they are. Here is a screenshot of the website as it looks when I use the preview in browser function from within dreamweaver to view it in firefox. This is how I'd like it to look.
And here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I preview it in Adobe Browser Lab in Firefox.
The quote is underneath the logo, the left div text is flowing over the center div, the nav bar graphics are too narrow, the photo is hanging outside the div it should be contained in. Not what I want.
Does anyone have any insight into how I would fix this or which version is correct?
I'm stumped. This is my first website: shouldn't these two things be similar? And which one is correct?
    and here is my code:

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
    2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a div set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the div's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
    3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar divs could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
    4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all right instead of all left) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the divs around in the HTML source.

You are using % widths for your layout which means it will look different depending of the size of each users monitor. Although this is probably the better way to go these days, it is not one size fits all and will work more effectively if you include min and max widths, and also media queries that change your layout depending on the monitor size. This is more advanced coding and will take time if you want to do that. Alternatively, you could design using pixel widths and have it look consistent across all desktop browsers and throw a few media queries in for the mobile side.

  • Shows output / summary after executing a procedure

Developers have come to me, with below challenge, I am not able to solve / help with, found nothing from my 1 hour search on Google and forums.
Is there parameter in database or SQLPlus that shows output / summary after executing a procedure?
I have few updates and few inserts in my procedures, I also user[b] execute immediate once on my proc.
I want to know how many rows were updated / inserted, at the moment you just get ‘successfully completed.’ After executing a procedure.
    SQL> @myproc.sql
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. If anyone is 100% it's not possible, and you have to do it manually using dbms_output, please let me know.
    Thanks for any help

PL/SQL executes inside the Oracle server process that is servicing your client session. How can it display anything on the client side?
SQL*Plus (a typical client) displays information messages such as "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed." - and it reads the DBMS_OUTPUT buffer in PL/SQL and write it to your display (when the SERVEROUTPUT SQL*Plus environment variable is set).
PL/SQL is incapable of "displaying" anything. Rendering is done the client.
It is important to grasp this basic client-server concept.
PL/SQL is also in fact two very distinct languages that are tightly integrated. PL and SQL. When PL executes a SQL statement, it does so via the same basic Oracle call interface as any other language. Part of this call interface contains the results of the SQL statement executed - this not only include a return code, but also the number of rows reported affected by the SQL engine. PL "publishes" that result via its system variable called SQL%ROWCOUNT.
However, due to the way PL calls SQL with respect to the different ways you can construct SQL in PL (implicit cursors, explicit cursors, ref cursors, etc), this variable is only valid when dealing with an implicit cursor. Cursor "system/SQL" variables also exist and these are prefixed with the variable name of the cursor in the format <cursorvar>%<sqlvar>.
Details can be found in the [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14261/toc.htm]Oracle® Database PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference.

  • Sound is not in stereo after rendering

My big problem is in the title. I made a nice video about my studying in Hawaii, but unfortunately the sound is not in stereo after rendering. No matter which settings I use, the sound is coming just from the left speaker on my 5.1. System. Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this problem? Thank you very much! Sam

If you run your Source Footage through either G-Spot, or MediaInfo, it will give you the full details of the Audio Stream in the file. That could tell the story. Both of those utilities are free, and no video-editing computer should be without them.
You could have 2-channel stereo, or 2-channel dual-mono. They are similar, but can have different results, and can be edited differently. G-Spot, or MediaInfo will tell you for sure.
Besides posting a screen-cap from one of those programs, with the Source Footage file in it, I would also post one more - that would be the Timeline, with one of the Clips showing, and also w/ the Audio Mixer open, and visible. One can accidentally Pan the Audio to one channel, or the other.
Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.

  • The lines I create with the pen tool are not showing up in After Effects.

I'm working on a project where I need straight lines. I've added the lines using the pen tool on solid layers, but they are not showing up before or after rendering. I can see where they are supposed to be when I isolate the layer they are on. I have the lines at one pixel, solid white and the layers are on top of everything else. I took a screen shot. Can anyone help me?

Well, I am still not 100% sure why the pen tool lines/masks are not showing up but I was able to work around it. I already had the stroke effect applied and set to all masks. Looking into this though, it seemed that they were only not showing up on the new solid layers I had created. I duplicated the layers the masks were  working on instead and it seems to resolve the problem for now. Thanks for your help!

  • Objects to show at different times on a slide not showing up

    Hi  Everyone,
I hope this problem is minor and that I’m just missing a small step but here it goes…
I’m using Captivate 4 and I’ve only been using it on one particular computer. I updated a captivate project that I’ve been working on since September and I’ve finished all the edits (added a picture, changed a few words) as requested by colleauges when all of a sudden, some objects that were suppose to show at different times on the slide were not showing up at all. The frustrating part is I actually finished the project! When I do a preview within the edit view, the objects appear as it should, however, when I publish it or do a preview on wepage, the objects are not appearing at all (ie a word at 10 sec, another at 20 sec). Anway, there were only 3 slides acting like this, all with objects are suppose to show up at different times on the slide (these were not the slides that I recently edited). My video works fine, my quiz works fine, and I’ve uploaded an initial version of my work on a Pathlore LMS with no problems (publish specs: flash 8, AS2).
I have several other projects that are less complicated (ie no video, no objects showing at different times within the slide) and they are OK. I’ve checked on other computers and same problem.
I tried deleting the slides, and redoing it again within the same project but still wont work I tried copying everthing on a new project with the same size with no luck.
I tried making a 2 slide project with objects showing up at different times and it works.
Is my project corrupted in some way? What are the possible culprits for this problem?
I really hope I don’t have to start from scratch…
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there
While it's certainly possible that the project has somehow become corrupt, you might find that simply closing and restarting Captivate changes things.
Have you tried that? I've seen it where bits and pieces are suddenly missing. After I restarted, things were just fine again.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Address Book contact preview shows a different date than what is input in the birthday field.

    Thanks!

Thunderbird numbering is based on the Extended Support Releases, which are provided every seven "regular" cycles (thus after 7 6-week cycles = every 42 weeks) to minimize fallout from new features hitting the releases to frequently. Initially, those release were issued to organizations only which require some kind of internal review or certification of software prior to deployment.
Currently we are in the "37.0" cycle and 38 beta 1 has just been released (but doesn't have the fix yet). Meaning, the next release after 31.6.0 won't be 31.7.0 but 38.0 already, followed by 38.1.0 up to 38.6.0, the continuing with 45.0, etc.
Confusing, yes, but that's what they came up with.

  • Artifacts created after rendering

    Hi,
I'm using Premiere Pro CS3 to edit my animation movie.
When I was using my old computer everything worked just fine, but when I copied the project to my new computer I noticed that after rendering, some artifacts were created in some of the shots (the artifacts do not appear in the original files just after rendering).
I installed premiere again but that didn't help, also my graphic card driver is the most updated.
Anyone know what can be the problem?
    Thanks.

That helped some but I still think I have some setting not right?  I just upgraded to 6.0 and a new computer and just started having this porblem.  I'm running an oracle with a ton of ram somewhere around 60 and really good graphics card I'm really surprised that I need to wait for a minute or 2 for the yellow render screen to go away and show my video again? Not sure just kinda quarky I think

  • Color linies after rendering

    Hi
I have a good video clip with a horisontal sharp transition from blue to red. Then i apply Motion to the clip ( Scale 110 % ) After that I render the clip.
After rendering there is a thin green linie in the transition from blue to red.
Anybody knows how to get rid of this green linie ?
The clip mentioned above is a test clip which i have made. When I use Motion to my clips there are green or red shadows in the color transitions.
Hope for a helping hand - thank you

It's your monitor, computer monitors can not be relied on for color accuracy.
    Try setting RT to Unlimited.
Put all your animation on V2, put a Shape (Generators > Shapes > Square) on V1. Make the Square the size and color you want. Before editing it into the Sequence, in the Viewer window, top left, enter the duration you need. This will be more stable with coloring.

  • After Effects rendering with Format MXF OP1a 1080i/25, XDCAM with colour space "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" but after rendering the colour space is "30-217"

    Hello!
I have a very annoying problem in After Effects. I'm making an Animation with the format "MXF OP1A, Codec XDCAMHD 50 PAL (4:2:2)" with 8-Bit and with the colour space "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" but after rendering the colour space is not 16-235, it is 30-217 RGB. After I activate the colour space in After Effects, then it shows the right values, but after rendering the value for white is 217 and for black is 30. Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks in advance.
    Bye

Thanks for your answer, but i don't know an Adobe Media Composer, you surely mean Adobe Media Encoder, or not? Anyway i do not find the option for colour space in Media Encoder, so i would be very thankful if you could tell me where to find it.

  • After rendering a clip it plays back slow

For christmas i recived a gopro hero 3, since then i have been out to the beach filming with it.
The setting i filmed in is 48fps at 1080p
I first brought it straight into premiere cc and started to edit it, i noticed that some clips after rendering seemed to have slown down, but kept the same duration.
At first i thought it was because i was stablizing the clips, but only certian clips became slow, while others were fine.
I then downloaded the gopro program and converted the clips to avi files as apparently the gopro files straight from the camera arn't the best for playback and editing.
Even after converting the same clips slow down and i dont know why, i have looked around for a good few hours now and noone seems to know why its happening?
Is it because of the framerate i recorded in? i have had problems before with the sequence settign being right but for this i made the sequence from the clips so they are the same.
Im a regualr editor of dslr footage and all that is fine, its just when i start to edit gopro footage that it happens
    Please could someone help

historically film cameras are 24 FPS ...and broadcast ( in the US ) is 30 FPS...so a lot of what happens in editing is sometimes related to that stuff...
If you shot at 48 FPS and showed it on a film projector ( which is 24 fps ) as " film " it would look twice as SLOW as normal footage shot at 24 FPS.
If you shot at 48 FPS and want it to look NORMAL than you would play it on a projector that actually projects at 48 FPS...and then it would normal.
See what I mean about the stuff being related ??
So if you shot 48 FPS and want it to look normal you can try " intrepret footage " settings...and there are others here who can help you more... I don't shoot overcranked and haven't done what you are trying to do .. but you should stipulate whether you want the motion you shot to look " normal " or slowed twice as much or what ... keeping in mind what I said above ...
    hope that helps ?
