Translate personalization or configuration texts

Hello,
I have configured a standard SAP WDA application partially using configuration and customizing by sap-config-mode=X.
I saw a note correcting an issues with translations of those implicit configurated texts.
But where am I possible to translate my configured texts? I was not able to find them in SE63.
I noticed that there are language parameters in WDY_CONF* tables, so there must be an option.
Regards and thanks in advance.

I found a note, that it is not working correctly

  • Problem related to language translation in Smartforms using Text Module.

    I have done translation of text module from English (enUS) to Spanish (esSP) using SE63. In text node I have used this translated text module. Language of the node is selected as sy-langu. So when I logged into System in English language I should be able to see the output in English but it giving output in Spnaish. While debugging sy-langu value is 'E'.

    hi,
    You have a text in english and you have maintained the translation in Spanish, mention the original text in the SmartForm. in this way when your login lang is EN you will see that text in Eng and if the lang is Spanish you will see the translation in the output.
    Thanks.

  • Translation of Report Designer texts

    Hi.
    I have a Bex query included in a Report Designer report. When I create a worklist (in order to traslate metadata) into another language, the system collects all the proper objects for the Bex query.
    The problem is that nothing is collected concerning Report Designer specific metatada (e.g. Page HEADER texts).
    Can I translate these texts, and how?
    Regards

    Hi Yannis, in BEx Report Designer it is possible to use Custom Text. See in menu of Report Designer: Insert->Custom Text
    According doc:
    In the Properties screen area, you can set the custom text to either language-independent or language-dependent. Language-dependent texts are stored in the BEx texts table. They can be translated and reused.

  • Layer.translate behavior in configurator panel

    i have a simple panel with a Script File button to execute the following script:
    app.activeDocument.activeLayer.translate(256);
    When i click this, I get:
    The object "previous history state" is not available
    This was part of a larger script that has some funky bahvior when running through configurator.  Through ESTK, it works as expected.  So I narrowed it down to this.
    Why is it trying to do history state stuff?

    May be here your solution :-)

  • Services Configuration Text File

    On Solaris 10 wasn't there a services configuratin text file. Say example I wanted to disable FTP there used to be a file where I placed a # in front of the Service, or am I thinking of Linux?

    The file you are referring to exists in all Solaris versions prior to Solaris 10. In Solaris 1.x,2.x - 9 you could enable or disable certain services by editing the /etc/inetd.conf file.
    In Solaris 10 and later you enable / disable them using the inetadm command, to disable ftp:
    inetadm -d ftp
    to enable it:
    inetadm -e ftp
    to list services:
    inetadm
    .. you can also use svcs/svcadm..

  • Check if UI element is made invisible by personalization or configuration

    I am calling the method GET_VISIBLE of CL_WD_UIELEMENT to find out whether a certain UI element is visible.
    This is working fine if the UI element is set to invisible by the developer.
    However, if the end user has hidden that UI Element (right-click -> hide), or if there is a web dynpro component configuration, the method GET_VISIBLE still returns "visible".
    How can I find out if the UI element is "really" visible?

    CL_WD_UIELEMENT class has one attribute PL_VISIBLE of type WDUI_VISIBILITY
    which contains the visiblity property as set by the personalisation feature.
    but it is protected type so using it will be little bit difficult.
    implementing a new class with CL_WD_UIELEMENT class as super class.
    thanks and gud luck

    But if i run my application for languages like Hindi suppose for which SAP do not provide any translations then these std texts appear in German.

  • Custom OA page (no personalization) translation from English to Spanish

    Hi,
    Problem Description:
    I have a custom OA page with no personalizations. I need to translate it into "Latin American Spanish".
    The steps I've done as of now are:
    1. Ran the following command from D:\RUP6\jdevbin\jdev\bin>
    XLIFFExtract D:\RUP6\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\xx\oracle\apps\xxtmg\sl\webui\ExecutionPG.xml -includeSubpackages -mmd_dir D:\RUP6\jdevbin\jdev\lib\ext\jrad\config\mmd -root D:\RUP6\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\ -xliff_dir D:\temp -source file -languages es-MX
    2. Changed the <target></target> text to Spanish equivalent for all <trans-unit> tags
    3. Ran the following command D:\RUP6\jdevbin\jdev\bin>
    XLIFFImport -username apps -password apps -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=192.168.139.249)(PORT=1527)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=CDEV35)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))" D:\RUP6\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\xx\oracle\apps\xxtmg\sl\webui\ExecutionPG.xlf
    4. Bounced the server
    5. Selected "Latin American Spanish" and the bottom of the Oracle Apps Login page, and logged in.
    Result:
    The page shows the standard messages and prompts (like Search Region Go button etc) in Spanish, but my custom buttons, labels prompts are still in English.
    I ran the following and I was able to see the translations correctly
    BEGIN
    jdr_utils.printtranslations ('/xx/oracle/apps/xxtmg/sl/webui/ExecutionPG', 'es-MX' );
    END;
    Output snippet:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <!--DBDRV: -->
    <xliff version="1.0">
    <file datatype="jdr" original="ExecutionPG" source-language="en-US" target-language="es-MX">
    <body>
    <trans-unit id=".xx.oracle.apps.xxtmg.sl.webui.ExecutionPG..BatchMeaning...prompt" translate="yes">
    <source>Batch Status</source>
    <target>Batch Estado</target>
    </trans-unit>
    <trans-unit id=".....
    *R&D Done:*
    I've gone through the following posts (some of them) in the forums, the dev guide and pretty much everything, but the translations are still not coming up on the page.

    Hi Manoj,
    Have you looked at the Internationlisation section of the dev guide, Ive not done transalations before but this seems to be what you are looking for.
    In the Dev Guide search for Translating Personalizations Stored in MDS and click on Internationalization, then look at the language sections from there you will see a link for Translating Personalizations Stored in MDS. It seems to indicate you need to specify which OAF elements get translated, this is for personalisations but the concept should be the same.

    Did you try transaction SE63?
    Translation -> ABAP Objects -> Short texts, select object type S3 and either REPT or SCRT, probably REPT since it's a selection screen.

  • Translation of table entries with text table attached via SE63

    ZMRAREA(Custom) table has a text table(ZMRAREAT) attached to it.I want to copy the English text in all the other language codes for one of its text field.
    But when I try with the main object i.e. ZMRAREA,it throws "No object found" and when I try to translate using its text table( ZMRAREAT)
    it says "no text found in  source language"even though maintained in English.
    Unlike ZMRAREA, if I try with some other tables with no text table linkage then I could easily do the translation using the path :Translation>> ABAP OBJECTS >> Short Text>> A1 Application Texts >>  Tab TABLE >>CSKU<table name>  >> Edit  >> Edit >> Select the required record and proceed with the translation.
    Please give me the path for translation of text tables in SE63

    Hi
    Hope this will work for you.
    Reward if help.
    Transaction SE63 enables you to perform the following activities:
    - Call up an individual object to translate it directly
    - Call up a worklist to find and translate objects requiring translation and belonging to packages assigned to you
    - Define your translator settings to suit the way you want to work with the translation tools
    This helps in translating the text to different language.

    Then Do like this:
    VA_DESCRIPTION = TEXT-001.
    Now using TRANSLATION TOOL LOAD THE TEXT-001 for all useful languages with the description u already have...
    Hope this is clear... For any query write back to me....

  • How to Maintain Translation of texts of Exception Class

    Hi Experts,
    I have an exception class ZCX_CHECK . I have maintained a text in the text tab of the exception class
    like No components  Exists in  Package  &PACKAGE_NAME&
    PACKAGE_NAME is the Attribute . How do I maintain Translation of the TEXT. When I navigate like Goto->Translation , it is saying Empty Object list.
    When I maintain text elements and give text-001 in the text tab of the exception class , the ouptu is coming as text-001 in the Report .
    How do I amintain translation , or how can I integrate a message class with an exception class .I know where to metion messsage class  . But how do I use it inside exception class

    Let me rephrase this: When entering a text in your Exception class it will be automatically part of the OTR. You can check this by looking this up in SOTR_EDIT.Press the binoculars button (Find), and search on package (development class).
    Now via SE63: Translation->ABAP Objects->Short texts
    open node OT on pop-up and double click on Subnode.Enter a * on screen for Object name and press F4. Now enter collection (package / development) class. Select the text to be translated.
    BTW: Via SOTR_EDIT you can retrieve the logical key (field concept) which is needed for translation. Select the GUID (logical key / concept) from SOTR_EDIT.
