Translating html code into.. web page

If I am downloading an HTML document from the WWW, i.e. a web page, how can I handle it so that what is actually shown on my GUI component (which is of type JTextArea) is the final "page" (as shown by any standard Web browser) rather than just html code?

You can use a JEditorPane with its content type set to "text/html".
You may it helps to call editorPane.setEditable(false) as well.
Have a look at the Javadocs for JEditorPane for examples.
Hope this helps.

  • Use html code in web page composer 7.3

    Hi all,
    I have a question about the standard editors of web page composer in 7.3.
    I want to create my own HTML code for the design of the portal page..
    Is it possible to use the code through one of the standard editors?
    At the moment I have created some html pages and store them in the KM content of the portal. Then I make this pages available with the KM Document iViews to use them in the Web Page Composer. The problem now is, that the links to other portal pages doesn't work..
    So is there maybe a possibility to use the html code directly in one of the editors? Or do you know, how you have to define the links to navigate to other portal pages? I tried a href="TBN://..." like the links you get with the Link List Editor, but it doesn't work..
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Regards,
    Lydia

    Hi,
    now we have the tinyMCE editor, where you can insert and edit html-code. It works fine now for the layout,
    but there are still a few problems with the links..
    In the edit mode there are displayed all km images out of the km. But the images aren't displayed under the portal role, when i publish the page. And all the links like one to a wiki or the TBN links doesn't work, too.
    Can anybody help me further?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lydia

  • Html block of code into jsp page.

    Is there possible, using JSF and tiles, to include dynamically a block of html code into a jsp file, or tile ?
    I've tried to create an html file and to include it in a jsp, but at runtime the contents of the html code is not refreshed.
    Any ideas ?
    Maybe using a custom component that acts like a div container for the html code ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: veveu on Mar 4, 2008 7:18 AM

    I thought about including it in an outputText tag but i never tried it because the output text shouldn't be rendered as html code (by definition).
    Thank you for your brilliant solution, it works fine now.

  • Embed HTML Code Into Mail?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to embed HTML code into an Apple Mail message? If it isn't, this would be a really useful feature. Lots of sites now, such as YouTube and Flickr, provide snippets of HTML code that you can copy and paste into your "webpage". But how useful would it be if you could paste this code directly into an e-mail? That way you could do things such as embed a YouTube video into an e-mail, rather than just provide a link to it.

    You can do it, but it will not be the easiest thing, and it's generally frowned on, since HTML email is used by spammers and marketers to track whether or not you open their emails. It's much easier and more accepted to just send a link to something you want someone to see; not everyone has time time, patience, or affordable broadband to download a web page with an embedded video window.
    You'd have to do the coding yourself, test it to be sure it works when sending and receiving, and then send it to everyone you want to see it. That's a lot of work for no real benefit. According to Apple, Mail in 10.5 allows the sending of HTML using the Stationery feature; have you tested that or checked the Help files for that to see how it's done?

    Yes. Let's see your page as it stands now. Can you upload it
    and post a
    link?
    The Object Not Found message means that there is a javascript
    object that
    has been left out of the page. A look at the code will tell
    which one that
    is.

  • Oracle CODE Submission Web Page - MAKE IT WORK  finally ( not temporary! )

    Is it possible to finally FIX Oracle Code Submission web page. Last year ( last half ) it return errors, same this time. Is any possible way to finally FIX it without anytime alert that it is not working or broken. As far as I understand that the place were we share our code/tips/ideas, not publish our friends or something like that. I think if we use it, then at least put warning prior than we try to submit. No conversations about re-type same code ( tip used SQL, new tip - SAME but using PL/SQL function ), but at least make it work.
    Thanks/Ilya

    Thanks, Olivier. That may help me in future and shows me where I can edit some of the HTML code (though I've no experience yet of even reading HTML or Javascript, let alone editing it!).
    The web page I'm trying to edit has a URL of https://....../sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart which fits your example but the templates under service BBPSTART seem to bear no resemblance to the screen I need. The code under services BBPSC01 and BBPSC02 looks more relevant but still doesn't refer to the screen input field that I'm looking to edit.
    Doing View Source on the web-page dumps the (very lengthy) generated code. Extracted from the header of that code-dump is...
    This page was created by the SAP Integrated ITS, WebAS: SRA, workprocess: 0
    Template: bbpsc02/99/saplbbp_sc_ui_its_2000.html
    Does that point me to the actual editable source?
    (I am using SE80 in the SRA system.)
    I wrote the above on 3rd Jan but was unable to post it.
    Since then I have found template SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS 2000 in service BBPSC01 does bear a resemblance to the displayed page code but as a scanty framework. The generated code has vastly more lines. I can't yet see how the template becomes the web page and where all the addditional lines of code come from and are edited.

  • Add html code in web dynpro application

    Hi
    Is there a method to add HTML Code in web dynpro application so that it works same as HTML works in browser
    I have to add a clock in my application How can i do that
    Best regards
    Suresh

    If you're on NetWeaver CE or otherwise use Wb Dynpro for Java 7.2 or higher, you could use the WebWidget control, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/49/bfa3b2e55657bae10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
    Otherwise, I'm afraid your only option is to use an IWDIframe component in your WDJ project, embedding the HTML.. Be carefulo though, the IWDIframe component is deprecated (since each server roundtrip forced a reload of the IFrame it was pretty useless)
    Hope this helps!

  • Can you embed HTML code into a Captivate project?

    Hi there.
    Is it possible to embed HTML code into a project? I can't find any options to do it. I'm using Captivate 7.
    Thanks.

    Yes I am talking about the play button when the course launches.  If you modify the index.html to look like this, the course will automatically play instead of showing the play button.
    function initializeCP()
                    function cpInit()
                                    document.body.innerHTML = "
                                    cp.DoCPInit();
                    if((typeof InitAppPackager !== "undefined") && (typeof InitAppPackager === "function"))
                                    InitAppPackager(cpInit);
                    else
                                    cpInit();
                                    cp.movie.play();
    The part in read is the command that I add to the index to make it autoplay.

    After Microsoft introduce something about the active object (need

  • Insert Html 5 content into web page

    I'm trying to figure it out but it's not working properly.

    You can easily load it into another page using an iFrame.

  • HTML code for web startup page

    My web-packaged AW 7 piece is delivered to customers with the
    AW web player 2004 in the same folder as the piece. The web player
    is downloaded from the customer's intranet server using codebase.
    The html page, called startup.htm, looks like this (after deleting
    a text message):
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Quality System Training</title>
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#0099CC" text="#FFFFFF">
    <OBJECT ID="AuthorwareShockwaveControl0"
    CLASSID="CLSID:15B782AF-55D8-11D1-B477-006097098764"
    CODEBASE="AW_Web_Player/awswaxd.cab#version=2004,0,0,73"
    width="150" height="55">
    <param name="SRC" value="menu.aam">
    <param name="WINDOW" value="onTopMinimize">
    <param name="PALETTE" value="foreground">
    <param name="DEBUG" value>
    </OBJECT>
    </p>
    </body>
    </html>
    Because a new piece will run from an LMS, I used One Button
    Publishing to create the web page. It runs correctly if the player
    is installed. But if I remove the player from the user's PC, the
    html page returns "The Authorware 7 WebPlayer is not installed" and
    fails to install the player. The page ends with this code:
    //Modify this next line with the name of the Authorware file
    strURLFile = "menu iso.aam";
    //Modify this next line with the width of the Authorware
    file
    intFileWidth = "1024";
    //Modify this next line with the height of the Authorware
    file
    intFileHeight = "768";
    //Modify this next line with the embed type of the
    Authorware file
    //Acceptable values are: inPlace, onTop, onTopMinimize
    strTypeEmbed = "onTopMinimize";
    //Modify this next line with the background color
    strColorBackground = "#0099CC";
    //Modify this next line with the palette
    strColorPalette = "foreground";
    strURLParams = "";
    strURLFull = document.location + "";
    intTemp = strURLFull.indexOf("#");
    if (intTemp == -1)
    intTemp = strURLFull.indexOf("?");
    if (intTemp > 0)
    strURLParams = strURLFull.substring(intTemp + 1,
    strURLFull.length);
    strTemp = location.protocol.toUpperCase();
    if (strTemp.indexOf("FILE") == -1)
    intTemp = location.pathname.lastIndexOf("/");
    else
    intTemp = location.pathname.lastIndexOf("\\");
    if (intTemp != -1)
    strURLBase = location.protocol + "//" + location.host +
    location.pathname.substring(0, intTemp + 1);
    else
    strURLBase = location.protocol + "//" + location.host +
    location.pathname;
    if (strURLParams == unescape(strURLParams))
    strURLParams = escape(strURLParams);
    if (strURLParams != "") {
    strURLParams = "?" + strURLParams;
    intTemp = strURLParams.indexOf("%3A80/");
    if (intTemp > 0) {
    strURLParams = strURLParams.substr(0, intTemp) +
    strURLParams.substr(intTemp + 5);
    } else {
    intTemp = strURLParams.indexOf("%3A80%2F");
    if (intTemp > 0) {
    strURLParams = strURLParams.substr(0, intTemp) +
    strURLParams.substr(intTemp + 5);
    strTemp = strURLParams.toUpperCase();
    if (strTemp.indexOf("AICC_SID") == -1) {
    status = 'Looking for API object';
    if (typeof(API) == 'undefined') API = null;
    // get the API
    fcnGetAPI();
    document.write('<object

    document.write(' <param name="WINDOW" value="' +

    document.write(' <param name="BGCOLOR" value="' +
    strColorBackground + '">\n');
    document.write(' <embed src="' + strURLBase + strURLFile
    + strURLParams + '" palette=' + strColorPalette + ' name="sample"
    window=' + strTypeEmbed + ' bgcolor=' + strColorBackground + '

    document.write(' </embed>\n');
    document.write('</object>');
    else
    document.write('The Authorware 7 WebPlayer is not
    installed.');
    // -->
    </script>
    </body>
    </html>
    So I deleted what appears to be codebase and associated code
    from the 2nd page and inserted codebase code from the 1st page. I
    deleted this:
    fcnGetAPI();
    document.write('<object
    classid="CLSID:15B782AF-55D8-11D1-B477-006097098764" width="150"
    height="50" name="sample">\n');
    document.write(' <param name="CODEBASE"

    document.write(' <param name="SRC" value="' + strURLBase
    + strURLFile + strURLParams + '">\n');
    document.write(' <param name="PALETTE" value="' +
    strColorPalette + '">\n');
    document.write(' <param name="WINDOW" value="' +
    strTypeEmbed + '">\n');
    document.write(' <param name="BGCOLOR" value="' +
    strColorBackground + '">\n');
    document.write(' <embed src="' + strURLBase + strURLFile
    + strURLParams + '" palette=' + strColorPalette + ' name="sample"
    window=' + strTypeEmbed + ' bgcolor=' + strColorBackground + '
    pluginspage="
    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveAuthorware "
    type="application/x-authorware-map" width=' + intFileWidth + '
    height=' + intFileHeight + '>\n');
    document.write(' </embed>\n');
    document.write('</object>');
    else
    document.write('The Authorware 7 WebPlayer is not
    installed.');
    // -->
    And I inserted this:
    <OBJECT ID="AuthorwareShockwaveControl0"
    CLASSID="CLSID:15B782AF-55D8-11D1-B477-006097098764"
    CODEBASE="AW_Web_Player/awswaxd.cab#version=2004,0,0,73"
    width="150" height="55">
    <param name="SRC" value="menu iso.aam">
    <param name="WINDOW" value="onTopMinimize">
    <param name="BGCOLOR" value="#0099CC">
    <param name="PALETTE" value="foreground">

    </OBJECT>
    Now, the web player downloads correctly. But I use the

    can I add to make the current page compatible with Netscape as well

    Yes you have. Your AW piece communicates with the LMS via the

    Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do.  I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around.  I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time.  And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

    Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter.  Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious.
    However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
    Design View and  2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions.  That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file.  As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page.  I invite you to try this yourself.  Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and  2014.1 Live View files.  Please apprise me of your results.
    Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid.  In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing."  And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same."  I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
    Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
    The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.

    It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product.  Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes.  Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
    Again Hans thank you for your reply.  But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem.  And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
    Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid.  I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process.  These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

  • Embedding iChat into Web Page

    Hello,
    Is there any way to embed the ichat 'buddy list' into a web page?
    Gary

    Hi,
    Umm, Where to start.
    Any iChat Buddy List is made up of several things that are show graphically to get the final result.
    The Grey metal surround would be all the way around except for the blue and white lines that hold the Buddy info.
    iCons at the bottom for starting the Chat(s) could be lost on any Web Page reconstruction.
    iChat itself then logs into the servers that you use and displays the options you have selected. (Names, Buddy Pics, Status indicators, Status Message).
    These are effectively different queries to the server in question (for one Buddy list)
    I learnt/Found the HTML to query if a Buddy is on line and the bits that make it open an AIM Client (iChat has to be told it is the default AIM client)
    The whole thing
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=ralphjohnsr&message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk."><img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif" alt="Webmaster iChat Online Status Indicator" border="0"></a>
    This bit makes it launch iChat and join/start a Chat.
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=
    The bit that follows can be a room name or a Buddy (or myself in this case)
    The following bit makes it send a message
    &message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk.
    The plus symbols get sent as spaces.
    There is a bit about aligning the images to the right and then the Query of the Server if I am on Line.
    The response form this will show one of two pictures
    <img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif"
    That is followed by an ALT text option.
    That is just to produce one Pic to say I am on line or not (with the option to Click and send).
    A Whole Buddy list would need more queries.
    Now presumably that and the other queries could be transferred to Jabber.
    However I have searched in Google to see if there are lists of Jabber Chat rooms to see if the HTML codes are obvious but I can not find any.
    The Tokbox model shows that without creating a Buddy Data base it can Query the various servers (you can set up/link to a GoogleTalk Buddy List as well as AIM and others there) so there must be a Query for the Buddy list as a whole.
    A dynamic table would be javascript based needing potentially the alternating colours.
    You would need two image holders to a line (Status and Buddy pic) not to mention any for Group divisions that may apply.
    I would start by grabbing the javascript files from TokBox and seeing if they may any sense about where they are querying.
