Translator Hub February 2015 release notes

We released a new version of the Hub.
We have added new ‘training cancellation’ feature.  You can now cancel a training that is in progress. Now, you don’t need to wait for training to complete, just to add a forgotten file.
Increased Training reliability. You should see far less instances of trainings that go on “forever”.
The community section of the Hub has a feature that allows you to post specific documents to specific members of your workspace for edits and corrections. These users now get an email notification that a document is available for them.

Hi there,
I installed 13.1 update to my PSE 13 this week. It was apparently released during February 2015. Does anyone know where I can find the Release Notes for the 13.1. OS X update?
Thanks in advance
Atso

  • Translator Hub January 2015 release notes

We release an update to the Translator Hub with minor changes:
    1. Better integration with the Bing Translator widget: You may use the Bing Translator widget to create new training data for your custom systems. You may also use the editing capabilities inside the Hub to create new training data. New is that both
work on the same data store of the Collaborative Translation Framework: Edits that you made in the widget will show up on the Hub, and vice versa, and at any time you may import the edits as new training data.
To do that, perform these steps once:
    - Visit https://datamarket.azure.com/account, using the Microsoft Account that you used for your Translator API subscription
    - Look up the “customer ID” on that page and make a copy of it.
    - Visit https://datamarket.azure.com/developer/applications
    - Click “Register”
    - Copy the “customer ID” into the field “Client ID”.
    - Enter a name (doesn’t matter what it is)
    - Enter a client secret
    - Enter a “Redirect URI”, which can be any valid URL, for instance the URL to your site.
    - Enter a description. Doesn’t matter what it is.
    - Hit “Create”.
Now whenever you use this client ID you just defined in the Translator API, you have access to the edits you have created in the widget OR in the Hub.
Now, each time you want to import community edits
    - When composing a training, click “get community translations”.
    - Enter the client ID and client secret from above.
This will create a new parallel document that is part of your training corpus.
Yes, we know this is a bit cumbersome right now, we’ll simplify the import process in the next release.
If you use the API and the AddTranslation() method, you can import all of that data for training as well. Just use the same client ID and client secret that you use in the API calls.
    2. Longer language identifiers like “mm-cyrl” for Mongolian (Cyrillic) work throughout the Hub and API now.

You do not need anti-malware software.
You have a ton of 3rd party launch agents/daemons which are just consuming RAM that you cannot afford to give to all of these 3rd party packages.
The same for all the Login Items you are starting.
Try booting into Safe Mode, which will not load the 3rd party additions, and see if that speeds things up.  If it does, you need to start removing that stuff.
    <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564>
You could really benefit from more RAM.  You system has been up for 4 hours, and already you are paging data to disk (352MB so far).  And the huge number of page-ins in just 4 hour (21.67GB) is another indication that you could really use more RAM.  The high page-in stats indicates the Mac is throwing away read-only pages, such as executable code and then loading it back in again, and again, and again, ....  If it had been modified data, you would have seen a larger page-out number.
Doing a Google search for "Macmini3,1 max memory" turned up the following:
*By default, 1 GB is installed as a single module (MB463LL/A) and 2 GB is installed as two 1 GB modules (MB464LL/A). Officially, this model is capable of supporting 4 GB of RAM, but as first reported by MacminiColo, this model unofficially can use 8 GB of RAM after applying EFI Firmware Update 1.2.

  • April 2015 Release KB2952664 Not Appearing in SCCM

I've withheld deploying previous versions of KB2952664 since it initial release after seeing multiple reports of troubles and failed installs. It's now at version 7 and I haven't seen any similar troubles with the latest release, however I'm
now noticing that it is not appearing in the SCCM console as an available update.  I've looked into the WSUS console on the server but am only finding the declined versions prior to the April 14 2015 release. Has anybody else seen this and what has
been done to get it available in SCCM?

The Windows Emulators require a physical machine that runs Windows 8.1 (x64) Professional edition or higher, and a processor that supports Client Hyper-V and Second Level Address Translation (SLAT). The emulators will not run when Visual Studio is installed
    in a Virtual Machine (VM).
The emulators for Universal Windows app development work best with Windows 10.

  • MSDN SQL Server Release Notes - January 2015

This Preview release contains updates made to protocol documents since the last release.
The following known issues exist in the January 2015 release:
Underscore characters are not always visible in code in the PDF files depending on the magnification selected by the user. Those characters are present in printed versions.
Information in a table row may split across two pages.
Table borders are not always visible depending upon the magnification selected by the user. Borders are present in printed versions of the PDF.
Cross-protocol links are only functional when the PDF files for the protocols are in the same folder.
Note: Links in the PDFs don’t resolve in Adobe Reader 9 because Adobe has changed the default setting for view mode
in Adobe Reader 9. To access links, perform the following procedure:
In Adobe Reader 9, go to the
    Edit menu and click
    Preferences.
    In the
    Categories list, click
    Documents. Under
PDF/A View Mode, change the selection from

  • Very frustrated that Verizon has not release Windows 8.1 for the Lumia Icon.  When will it be released?  Early 2015 is not an acceptable answer.

As I'm certain many others who bought this phone are, I am increasingly irritated that Verizon has not released the Windows 8.1 update.
When will it be release?  Early 2015 is not an acceptable answer.

"Early 2015" is the best answer you are going to get. I suggest that it is less stressful to accept what is rather than reject it. Taking the stance of "not acceptable" for something like this does nothing but disturb your peace of mind.
Really though, to me it is very good news in the sense that we now know we WILL eventually be getting 8.1, Cyan, and Denim. Verizon has made no official statement at all about this. Now we have Joe Belfiore specifically telling us MS is working with Verizon to get the update out and it will come for the ICON. Not as informative as we would like, but much better than what we had before!

  • Release Notes: July 15, 2015

We found a few bugs in some code that were causing areas of the community to be slow at updating themselves; hopefully today's release should fix that!

After purchasing the rights to use the Commodore logo and branding, two Italian entrepreneurs are preparing to release a new Commodore PET. But where the iconic Commodore PET of the late 1970s was a personal computer, the new Commodore PET is catching up with the times and features "a customized version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, and a pair of emulators for running old Commodore software." In other words, the new Commodore PET is a smartphone.According to Ars Technica, the PET is "powered by some respectable hardware, [which includes] ... a sturdy slab of Gorilla Glass 3, a 1.7GHz Mediatek 64-bit octa-core processor with ARM Mali T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and a large 3000mAh battery." There's also a 13-megapixel Sony camera, a front-facing 8-megapixel camera, and dual-SIM 4G connectivity. Ars Technica reports...
