Transport a table

HI Gurus!
I have done a small change and I need some advice and helkp on it. In the SPRO I have tried refreshing the Industry codes. What I did was deleted all the entreis existing for the BA codes and then loaded the tables with a fresh set of records through a load program. While doing this a transport was generated for view maintenace . Now do I have to transport this to QAT or create a seperate transport for the tables TBRCT and then send that through the transport. Kindly advice .

No, the problem is diffrenet. The transport was genereated for the entreis that I had deleted. Though the transport is generated , but the thing is that there are 35,001 entreis in the table and when I try saving it in the tyransport it times out and gives a short dump , so I cannot save all the records at once and hence the transport dosent have any records in it . I want to know if there is any other way or transporting this new set of industry codes that have been refreshed in the tables . As when I try saving the records in thr transport through the spro it times out and gives short dump.

RC8 while transporting a Table

I am facing an issue. In a custom table I change the search help of fields and transport the same. While transporting the table I am having RC8 and table is partially active to destination server. I know we can use FM DDIF_TABL_ACTIVATE to resolve such type of issue but I want to know why we are facing such type of problem.
Error message.

Hello Expert,
To my understanding we do use se14 when there is some change in fields type(lenght increase/decrease) or add or remove any fields.
In this case also se14 required.Can you please confirm me that.

Hi,
After creating the table first activate the table
Check whether Delivery and maintenace
and Technical attribute tabs are maintained.
Once that is done transport that request to production.
To maintain the table in production you will have to create a maintenance view for the same

Transport own table including content

Hi,
I have created a program with an own dictionary table. Can I transport the table
with the filled content from the development system to the test system? If I
would transport my request now, it will just create the table and all other objects,
but without any content, right?

Do you wnat to transport table with entries..?
If so.. follow this steps...
Create a TR in SE01.=>Display TR=> Place the cursor on the TR=> menu=>Request/task=>Object list=>display object list=>change=>Add new rows=>
Here give program ID as R3TR, objects as TABU and object name as your table name. Press enter. U may get a message. Just close it and double click on the table name. In the Next screen press insert icon. Here u can specify the Key(Table key values) If u want to transport specific entries.
If u want all entries to be transported then simply give * and save the TR. Now if release this TR it will transport all table contents to the higher system.

Transporting custom table with entries

Hi,
I need to convert one custom table to client specific, I deleted entries in table and added MANDT field in development server. In Production already entries are there in the table, can i transport the table from development now? will it affect the entries? or if i enter all the entries in development and transport, will the table get all the entries with MANDT field?

Please enter all entries in dev(take ALL form Prod), then trasnport new version of table to Q->P.
By doing so, your existing data in P will be retained and u'll have client spec. table in P.

APO Bapi - ERROR - No entry found in transportation indicator table for fol

Experts .. need help on a APO bapi
Iam being doing BAPI for transportation lane to add new material through the bapi BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI
iam passing the following to BAPI
    Logical system
    model
and in tables .
    TRANSPORT_LANE
    TRANSPORT_LANEX
    PROD_PROCUREMENT
    PROD_PROCUREMENTX
    LOCATION_FROM    = '1010'.
    LOCTYPE_LOC_FROM = '1001'.
    LOCATION_TO =   '1101'.
    LOCTYPE_LOC_TO = '1001'.
the above data is common for passing all the four bapi tables and in
addition iam passing
prod-valfr = Converted value by passing to FM - IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP.
prod-valto = Converted value by passing to FM - IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP.
prod-product = material number.
AFter excuteing bapi iam getting an error
No entry found in transportation indicator table for following objects
the above error occured when passed the given data to bapi table - PROD_PROCUREMENT
if we pass the data to   PROD_PROCUREMENT and   PROD_PROCUREMENTX
then there is no error in table return of bapi but the data is not uploaded in transportation lane.
I will really appreciate if some guide me where iam wrong or some other solution for this .

Also what kind of transport request is used to transport SAP standard table contents ?

Create Workbench request only.
Because when u will transport the table from development server to quality that time table records won't transport.
We don't have any TR type to transport table with records.

I have one request which includes my report,my custom table.
While releasing the task first, i get this error:

Anybody, having idea why this error comes and SAP stops me to release my task.

does this table automatically ask's for a TR when you create entries? or have you explicitly entering entries using R3TR TABU in your request?
If so, you need to give the proper key values to transport the entries of this table, might be an issue there?
If you want to add the entries explicitly, you need to create an entry at task/request level as belo
R3TR | TABU | <Table name>
double click on the record to give key values of the table or give "*" to transport entire table entries.

I can help you with this ..these are the steps you need to follow:--
Process of Transport as EPA(Enterprise Portal Archieve)
EXPORT:--
Login to the the portal.
Navigate to System Administration.
Navigate to Transport-->Export.
Create a Folder inside the Portal Content say "TransDemo".
Right on the Folder and Select new Tranport Package and fill in the following properties.
Transport package name (required).
Transport package ID (required).
Transport package ID prefix (optional).
Master language (required).
Description (optional).
Select Objects for Export
Open the object (Transport Package) for editing.
Add all required iView, Page, Role, Workset in the object using right click.(Can directly add a folder also).
Click on to Export button.
After clicking Export Button file name is automatically generated (Unique name).
Export Selected Objects to .epa file.
Download Export File- It displayed how many files it exported.
Click on to "Download Export File" link for download.
Save .epa file in your hard drive.
IMPORT--
Login to the the portal.
Navigate to System Administration.
Navigate to Transport-->Import.
Select .epa file on Destination Server.
Import Editor Select "Client" as source for packages file
Select .epa file (Which is the back up file) Click on "Upload" button
Start Import and Check Status after uploading click on to "Import" button.
Display all imported objectAll iviews and roles are restored .
Just follow the above steps and ask if you have any doubts as i have used this method to transport many roles from one portal server to other.

Transport the table not just the DDIC structure

I had a table in Dev as a local object. I assigned a package to the database table as follows.
Goto->Object Directory Entry -> Here click on edit mode --and enter the package name.
When I transported the object to QDF only the DDIC structure was transorted and not the table. How do I transport the table and not just the DDIC structure? Thanks,

What do you mean by entire table?
Do you mean that the table contents should also be transported?
Table contents will be transported only if you have included them in a customising request and you table is of type customising(C).

Transport of Table entries to another Client.

Hello All,
I have a case where a Custom Issue resolution program has been created. We use this interface for logging support issues internally, and the facility for creating the attachments is also provided.(SU53 screens etc). With an onset requirement of System copy, i would like to save these Table data as all the issues are logged in the Issue tracker tables along with attachments.
Can any one let me know how to safegauard this data and save it from wiping out due to system copy.
The tracker is in QTY system and it is having 3 clients. 100,200,300. We are trying to perfrom the system copy on only 100 client and export 200 and 300 and reimport after system copy. So is there any way to transfer this data to 300 and then safely put it bvack to 100 ???

Hi Sri,
If all data you want to save, is stored in Z- or Y-tables, you can always use a normal transport to save the entry's. Thereby it is not necessary to save the tables in another client, that afterwards again is exported, reimported, and then transport the tables back to old client.
In short, you can do the following:
1) Create a new transport request
2) Add the tables to be saved in the transport request.
3) release the transport
4) Do the system copy
5) Add the previous transport to the importqueue after the system copy.
6) Import the transport into your (new) client 100.
I hope this short guideline helps you in usable direction.

Edit Problem after changing and transporting a table view

Hallo Experts,
I hope you can help me.
I changed a Z-table in the Data Dictionary. For this table there exists an Tableview.
After I added three new fields I generate a new tableview:
Utilities -> table maintenance generator
Change -> create maintenance screen -> ok
after this I optimized the layout of the screen.
On our Enviromentsystem my Tableview works perfect.
I can make changes in the table.
Then I transported the new tableview to our testsystem.
There I started the sm30 "Maintain table view" and tried to change table entries.
After a click on "Maintain" the following Message appears:
TK 730 Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted.
The strangest thing is, that before my transport, it worked, I could change table entries.
There were no changes on the userrights.
And I can change a similar table on the testsystem.
I compared the properties of both tables. But I could not find a difference.
Have anybody an idea where the error can be?

Think carefully about the effect of your changes. Due to logical dependencies between client-specific Customizing and applications data on the one hand and cross-client Customizing data on the other hand, changing or deleting cross-client data could result in inconsistencies.
Therefore such changes should be carefully planned and coordinated, taking all the clients in the system into consideration.

When we are moving from dev to QA to prod normally the remote system to which MDM is interacting also moves to similar environments. In different environments the reference table data may not match and hence it is advised not to move with same data. You can do this by simply exporting the schema of the repository from dev to QA and so on. That is create a new repository in QA and Prod by using option of "Export from Schema".
Matching strategies and workflows are not supported in this schema transport for MDM 5.5
These has to be created manually once the repository has been created.
Good news is MDM 7.1 supports this.

Transport all table entries

Hi ,
I need to transport all entries of z table from Dev to Quality.
I have tried creating a new transport request in SE10 and assigning the table data.But i dont want this.
When i am trying to transport from SM30 , I am getting message as 'Transport is not possible for the specified data'.
so what will be the settings to be maintained while creating the table.

Via transport tool (SE01/SE10) add an entry in an transport of copy transport request with the key : R3TR TABU Ztable (ignore the warnings), then add a key entry like * or <client>*
You can also
- Set the Table category to "C" Customizing table, maintenance only by cust., not SAP import (remove the first warning)
- In the maintenance dialog set the recording routine switch on standard and the compare flag to Automatically adjustable

Transporting standard table from DEV to PROD

Hi All,
I have updated a table called T166K and T166P for Purchase Order Printouts.
I have entered few values in the above mentioned tables in DEV server.
Now, i would like to move these tables to Production, since i can not create values to these tables in Production server.
How to move tables from DEV till PROD...??
NOTE: While updating these tables, system didnt prompt for saving under Transport Request Numbers in DEV server.

Hi,
You can use scatt tool to upload the data in the developement server. Prepare a file with data. Do it in developement environment only. then in SCATT you have remote logon facility using which you can run the scatt in developement environment and the result will be placed in the production server.
