Transport Depency Trace

Hi,
We have around 30 TR (across FICO, HR & Logistics module). Due to poor TR management list by project, we are not able to identify the sequence & DEPENDENCY of the TRs manually.
Are there any methods we can use to ensure the TRs sequenced with dependencies correctly before proceeding for transport?
Thank you.

Hello Raj,
unfortunately, there isnu2019t any transaction available to check the dependencies between objects in transport requests.
Actually finding out the dependencies and the correct order to be imported can be very time consumingu2026
If the requests have been already released, you can check in table E071 if the same object has been included in more than one request; if an object can be found in several requests, the next step would be to find which is the correct order (that is, which request should be imported first). This is a little bit more complicatedu2026 if the object is a program, function module, etc. you can check the version management of that object (in the development system), there you will find which transport request contains the latest version of the object and, therefore, which transport request must be the last one in the import sequence.
There's also a table which the TMS mechanism uses to cross check objects within two or more requests: table E070DEP  ("Change & Transport System: Dependencies of Requests").
Are they using Projetcs to control the transport requests? If you use projects to control your transports, but your projects overlap, then you must define dependency relationships between the objects that belong to different projects but contain some of the same objects. As per your problem description, this step was either missing or has failed.
FYI, when you import requests, the system analyzes the dependency relationships and lets the transport administrator know that more requests have to be imported to ensure the correct sequence. This is just a warning though, and the import can be continued.
Also, when you release a request, the system automatically checks whether the request's object list overlaps with the object lists of released requests from other projects that have already been released. But again, this is a warning and you can proceed if you wish w/o taking any action.
I hope this information helps.
Best regards,
Tomas Black

  • Few LONG questions unanswered.

    I was given quite some questions and need help with some of the questions.Lemme post them help? The main thing is i need the code for to make the answer appear.
    1.       What’s Your Excuse?
          Write a program that helps students come up with excuses for coming late to school.         The program should prompt the user to enter the following information:
    ·         Number of minutes late
    ·         Level of problem
    ·         What problem you had
    ·         Which class you missed
    ·         What type of transport to school
                After the user has entered these items, the program should display the following    excuse, inserting the user’s input into the appropriate locations:
                            I was NUMMINUTES today because I had a LEVEL problem with                                  SOMETHING. This problem really made me totally forget about your                               CLASS today. And, then when I left my home it only became worse. I missed                   my TRANSPORT. Then, the TRANSPORT I got in was so slow today. Sorry
                            about that.
    2.       How Fast?
                A guy is training for the triathlon. Every triathlon has three parts: a swim, a bike ride,        and a run. The triathlon for this problem has a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bicycle ride, and       a 10 km run. Write a program to ask the user to enter, in hours, the following information:
    ·         The time to do the 1.5 km swim
    ·         The time to do the 40 km bicycle run
    ·         The time to do the 10  km run
                Then, the program should print as output the following information:
    ·         The rate at which he did the swim ( km / min)
    ·         The rate at which he did the bicycle run ( km / min)
    ·         The rate at which he did the run (km / min)
    ·         The total time he took for all three parts of the triathlon (in minutes)
    3.       Guess The Card!
    Can you correctly guess the card the computer is holding in its hand? I will give you one chance!
    In this game the computer will randomly pick a card from 1 to 52 (e.g. 4 of diamond). If the card is between 1 and 13, inclusive, then it is a “club”. If the card is between 14 and 26, inclusive, then it is a “diamond”. If the card is between 27 and 39, inclusive, then it is a “heart”. If the card is between 40 and 52, inclusive, then it is a “spade”.
    Write a program to ask the computer to pick one card at random (e.g. Jack of Spade). Then, the player should be asked to enter two values: the type of the card (i.e. Club, Diamond, Heart, or Spade) and the number (1 to 13). If they both match the card picked by the computer, the player wins and the displays the message “Correct! You Guessed It!” Otherwise the player loses and displays the message “Sorry! You Guessed Wrong!”
    You assume the order of the 13 cards for each type as follows: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Jack, Queen, and King.
    Note that you are not supposed to use any loops for this problem. (Hint: To have the computer roll a dice randomly, use the appropriate random number generation function)
    Sorry for the long questions though =x.

    var minutesLate:Number = Number(numberMinutes.text);
    var levelOfProblem:String = level.text;
    var whatProblem:String = something.text;
    var lessonMissed:String = classMissed.text;
    var transportType:String = transport.text;
    trace("I was "+minutesLate+" today because I had a "+levelOfProblem+" problem with "+whatProblem+". This problem really made me totally forget about your "+lessonMissed+" today. And, then when I left my home it only became worse. I missed my "+transportType+". Then, the "+transportType+" I got in was so slow today. Sorry about that.");
    I tried out.Thats my answer for question 1.

  • OSB duplicated calls

    Hi,
    I’m using webservice over https from OSB (10gR3) to a third part and when I call them they always gets duplicated calls from us.
    In the log it looks like OSB only tries to send the document once (I have enabled message tracing) and only recives one response, but if I activate debug for ssl on weblogic it looks like it makes two calls.
    I have used SoupUI to set up my own Mock Service and call it from the same OSB business service. I have used both http and https in my Mock Service and I always only get one call to my Mock Service.
    I have no problem if I make the same call direct from SoupUI to this third part service.
    Any ideas?
    Here is the log from the named server (somewhat cut since this form only allows 30000 characters):

    Hi,
    we had the same problem and we were able to resolve it with the above advice with a small difference.
    we were calling our business service with a service call out and applying routing options had no affect in this situation. we changed the call out to a routing node and the routing options had the desired effect.
    also, we are using osb 11g so this i'snt specific to 10g.
    does anyone know of the patch number that should be applied to resolve this (if there is one)?
    cheers
    toby

  • Hihaving a query like that who has done the Transport? How can i trace who

    having a query like that who has done the Transport? How can i trace who has done the transport (Import).
    I have tried with following steps but unable to find the right person.
    1. Go to TMS and disply the appropriate queue.
    2. Select menu path: Goto>Import History.
    3. Select menu path: Edit> Dipaly More.
    4. This will give the the "User" column.
    But my problem is the transport has happened long back. is there any other way to find out old import request who has done the transport.
    Please someone help me out on this.

    Do this may it can help you.
    At the last step where you had given "diaplay more"
    do this inspite of that:
    Extras --> Personal Settings
    Check the option "Query Interval Time" and try again.
    Best of luck !!!

  • Trace events for Transport creation.

    Hi Guru's,
    I am hoping to run a program when a transport is created or changed. Thus I was trying to find if any events are raised when a transport is created.
    I am struggling to firstly find out how to trace which events are raised and secondly to see if there is a suitable event I can use.
    If anyone has any idea how I can run a program when a transport is changed or created that would be fantastic.
    Ross.

  • How to trace changes made by transport TR ?

    hi,
    my developer complain that there are additional company codes added in the production client.
    the same found in dev and qas clients as well.
    no one seem to admit of the changes. if we were to trace which TR actually update the configs, how to check ?
    comment and advice are highly appreciated.
    thanks
    regards,
    kent

    Hello Kent,
    The correct way to check the company code is through SPRO.
    Ask your developer to goto SPRO , enterprise structure --> definition -- > define company code and open the list of company codes.Select the one which needs to be traced and click on Utilities -- > Change Logs.
    There you can give a selection date range and select all from the output options.It would show you when and who has done changes.From this information i don't think it is difficult to trace the TR.
    Hope this info was of some help for you.
    Thanks and Regards,
    -Bijesh.

  • Trace the transport req

    Hi friends,
    Got a query on transport req.
    I have a cube with update rules in PROD, but these update rules are not existing for the particular cube in DEV, I guess it got deleted in Dev and changes not moved to production.
    How Can I able to find the request under this deletion has performed ?
    Regards...
    Bala

    Hi,
    You need to fetch the technical ID of your update rules, which you can get it from Meta data repository and then search in SE03 for the transport request that has changed.
    Hope this helps

  • Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212

    Hi all,
    I have created a two system landscape of development & production server. But while I am releasing any request from develpoment server a error is showing: " Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212 Errors: could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or S".I have chosen development server as domain controller. TMS alert viewer error message also contains the following information------>command: TMS_MGR_READ_TRANSPORT_QUEUE
                                                                           service: transport service
                                                                           start : online
                                                                           Function: TMS_TP_SHOW_BUFFER
                                                                           message: TP_REPORTED_ERROR
    In import monitor it's showing : "tp finished: could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or SLOG1113.K"
    Can you tell me how to resolve this issue?

    dev_tp contains:
    This is R3trans.exe version 6.14 (release 700 - 09.04.10 - 11:26:00).
    unicode enabled version
    usage: R3trans.exe [<options>] <control_file>
    The control_file describes what R3trans has to do.
    The following options are possible:
    -c f1 f2 : Copy file f1 to f2 with character set conversion.
    -d       : DB connect. Test if SAP database is available.
    -i file  : Import from file without using a control file.
    -l file  : List the contents of file to the log file.
    -m file  : List the contents of file to allow tp to create a cofile.
    -t       : Test. All database changes are rolled back.
    -t4      : Trace level 4. Switch on developer trace.
    -u <int> : Unconditional modes. See below.
    -v       : Verbose. Write more details to the log file.
    -w file  : Log file. The default log file is 'trans.log'.
    -x       : DB connect without access on any SAP table.
    R3trans.exe finished (0012).
    & the slog file is not there in the trans/log directory

  • TcpListener not working on Azure: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

    Hi Everybody,
    i'm playing a little bit with Windows Azure and I'm blocked with a really simple issue (or maybe not).
    I've created a Cloud Service containing one simple Worker Role. I've configured an EndPoint in the WorkerRole configuration, which allows Input connections via tcp on port 10100.
    Here the ServiceDefinition.csdef file content:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <ServiceDefinition name="EmacCloudService" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceDefinition" schemaVersion="2014-01.2.3">
    <WorkerRole name="TcpListenerWorkerRole" vmsize="Small">
    <Imports>
    <Import moduleName="Diagnostics" />
    <Import moduleName="RemoteAccess" />
    <Import moduleName="RemoteForwarder" />
    </Imports>
    <Endpoints>
    <InputEndpoint name="Endpoint1" protocol="tcp" port="10100" />
    </Endpoints>
    </WorkerRole>
    </ServiceDefinition>
    This WorkerRole is just creating a TcpListener object listening to the configured port (using the RoleEnvironment instance) and waits for an incoming connection. It receives a message and returns a hardcoded message (see code snippet below).
    namespace TcpListenerWorkerRole
    using System;
    using System.Net;
    using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime;
    using System.Net.Sockets;
    using System.Text;
    using Roche.Emac.Infrastructure;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Threading.Tasks;
    using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Diagnostics;
    using System.Linq;
    public class WorkerRole : RoleEntryPoint
    public override void Run()
    // This is a sample worker implementation. Replace with your logic.
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("TcpListenerWorkerRole entry point called");
    TcpListener listener = null;
    try
    listener = new TcpListener(RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint);
    listener.ExclusiveAddressUse = false;
    listener.Start();
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info(string.Format("TcpListener started at '{0}:{1}'", RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint.Address, RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint.Port));
    catch (SocketException ex)
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while creating the TcpListener", ex);
    return;
    while (true)
    Task.Run(async () =>
    TcpClient client = await listener.AcceptTcpClientAsync();
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info(string.Format("Client connected. Address='{0}'", client.Client.RemoteEndPoint.ToString()));
    NetworkStream networkStream = client.GetStream();
    StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(networkStream);
    StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(networkStream);
    writer.AutoFlush = true;
    string input = string.Empty;
    while (true)
    try
    char[] receivedChars = new char[client.ReceiveBufferSize];
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("Buffer size: " + client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    int readedChars = reader.Read(receivedChars, 0, client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    char[] validChars = new char[readedChars];
    Array.ConstrainedCopy(receivedChars, 0, validChars, 0, readedChars);
    input = new string(validChars);
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("This is what the host sent to you: " + input+". Readed chars=" + readedChars);
    try
    string orderResultFormat = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\xB")) + @"MSH|^~\&|Instrument|Laboratory|LIS|LIS Facility|20120427123212+0100||ORL^O34^ORL_O34| 11|P|2.5.1||||||UNICODE UTF-8|||LAB-28^IHE" + Environment.NewLine + "MSA|AA|10" + Environment.NewLine + @"PID|||patientId||""""||19700101|M" + Environment.NewLine + "SPM|1|sampleId&ROCHE||ORH^^HL70487|||||||P^^HL70369" + Environment.NewLine + "SAC|||sampleId" + Environment.NewLine + "ORC|OK|orderId|||SC||||20120427123212" + Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\x1c\x0d"));
    writer.Write(orderResultFormat);
    catch (Exception e)
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while writting the response", e);
    client.Close();
    break;
    catch (Exception ex)
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while Reading the request", ex);
    client.Close();
    break;
    }).Wait();
    public override bool OnStart()
    // Set the maximum number of concurrent connections
    ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit = 12;
    DiagnosticMonitor.Start("Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Plugins.Diagnostics.ConnectionString");
    RoleEnvironment.Changing += RoleEnvironment_Changing;
    return base.OnStart();
    private void RoleEnvironment_Changing(object sender, RoleEnvironmentChangingEventArgs e)
    // If a configuration setting is changing
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("RoleEnvironment is changing....");
    if (e.Changes.Any(change => change is RoleEnvironmentConfigurationSettingChange))
    // Set e.Cancel to true to restart this role instance
    e.Cancel = true;
    As you can see, nothing special is being done. I've used the RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints to retrieve the current IPEndpoint.
    Running the Cloud Service in the Windows Azure Compute Emulator everything works fine, but when I deploy it in Azure, then I receive the following Exception:
    2014-08-06 14:55:23,816 [Role Start Thread] INFO EMAC Log - TcpListenerWorkerRole entry point called

    I've already tried to configure an internal port in the ServiceDefinition.csdef file, but I get the same exception there.
    As you can see, the client can connect to the service (the log shows the message: Client connected with the address) but when it tries to read the bytes from the stream, it throws the exception.
    For me it seems like Azure is preventing the retrieval of the message. I've tried to disable the Firewall in the VM in Azure and the same continues happening.
    I'm using Windows Azure SDK 2.3
    Any help will be very very welcome!
    Thanks in advance!

    hi Javier,
    I changed your code like this:
    private AutoResetEvent connectionWaitHandle = new AutoResetEvent(false);
    public override void Run()
    TcpListener listener = null;
    try
    listener = new TcpListener(
    RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint"].IPEndpoint);
    listener.ExclusiveAddressUse = false;
    listener.Start();
    catch (SocketException se)
    return;
    while (true)
    IAsyncResult result = listener.BeginAcceptTcpClient(HandleAsyncConnection, listener);
    connectionWaitHandle.WaitOne();
    The HandleAsync method is your "While (true)" code:
    private void HandleAsyncConnection(IAsyncResult result)
    TcpListener listener = (TcpListener)result.AsyncState;
    TcpClient client = listener.EndAcceptTcpClient(result);
    connectionWaitHandle.Set();
    NetworkStream netStream = client.GetStream();
    StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(netStream);
    StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(netStream);
    writer.AutoFlush = true;
    string input = string.Empty;
    try
    char[] receivedChars = new char[client.ReceiveBufferSize];
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("Buffer size: " + client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    int readedChars = reader.Read(receivedChars, 0, client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    char[] validChars = new char[readedChars];
    Array.ConstrainedCopy(receivedChars, 0, validChars, 0, readedChars);
    input = new string(validChars);
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("This is what the host sent to you: " + input + ". Readed chars=" + readedChars);
    try
    string orderResultFormat = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\xB")) + @"MSH|^~\&|Instrument|Laboratory|LIS|LIS Facility|20120427123212+0100||ORL^O34^ORL_O34| 11|P|2.5.1||||||UNICODE UTF-8|||LAB-28^IHE" + Environment.NewLine + "MSA|AA|10" + Environment.NewLine + @"PID|||patientId||""""||19700101|M" + Environment.NewLine + "SPM|1|sampleId&ROCHE||ORH^^HL70487|||||||P^^HL70369" + Environment.NewLine + "SAC|||sampleId" + Environment.NewLine + "ORC|OK|orderId|||SC||||20120427123212" + Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\x1c\x0d"));
    writer.Write(orderResultFormat);
    catch (Exception e)
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while writting the response", e);
    client.Close();
    catch (Exception ex)
    //LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while Reading the request", ex);
    client.Close();
    Please try it. For this error message, I suggest you could refer to this thread (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6173763/using-windows-azure-to-use-as-a-tcp-server
    ) and this post (http://stackoverflow.com/a/5420788).
