Transport error on datasource between client 200 & 220

When I transport datasource 0CS_ORDER_ATTR between 200 & 220 with SCC1 I get the following error

The datasource runs without error on 200 via RSA3 but dumps in 220 and I belive the errors above must be related to my errors in 220

Hi Bhanu,
   I din't do any enhancements to the Data Source . Simply I added sort statement in the Existing Start routine( Transfer Rules) . Just i want to transport that only. After Failing the transport ( Error Code 8) .....I checked my BW-QA system . The change which i made( Including Sort statement) is moved to QA but my transport is failed with the error code 8 .....
   Unless and untile the transport is successful i can not move it in to production ......
   So i think now you got my isse ....i.e my changes are moved to QA but the trasport is failed ...so please advise me what to do on this ..

Hello byron.lewis, many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.

I have collected the datasource in transport connection , verified the transport request. It has 'R3TR' and 'ISMP' object attached to it. But when I transport it , the transport fails with return code 8. Here is the transport log.

Hi Hareesh,
In the case that it is a BI system as source I suspect antoher related problem.
Find the datasource in the RSA5 tree in your source BI and press the menu option goto - object directory while being positionned on it.
Check whether this contains your regular package. I suspect a non-transportable SAP package will be assigned.
Goto SE03 and via your context menu execute "Change Object Directory entries".
Fill in on a new line 'R3TR' 'OSOA' '0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL' and flag the checkbox in front of it. Execute the transaction. Position on the correct node and use the change object dir. button to change to transportable package and request.
Transport this request first and re-import your previous one.

Moving DataSources between source systems

Hi Gurus,
I'm facing problems when trying to move a datasource between two source systems. Here are some details about the situation:
- I created a DataSource based on a DB-Connect source system (Oracle DB)
- I moved this DS to test system where it has been attached to the Oracle-Test-DB.
- Now I'd like to load data in SAP test system from the Oracle-Prod-DB. So I created a new source system in the SAP test environment pointing to Oracle-Prod-DB. Then I updated the conversion of logical systems now changing the source system to the Oracle-Prod-DB. After collecting the datasource and transporting it to SAP test system I noticed that the datasource already existed remained untouched and an additional datasource has been created.
So, can you Gurus share any piece of advice how to change a datasource from one source system to another.
Any help is appreciated.

I have checked WE20 and W21. The ports and the partner profiles are created automaticly in BW and R/3 sides, when creating the new source system in RSA1.
The main problem is, that the R/3 can´t send data to BW, although the ALE and RFC configurations are setup properly. After I replicated and activated several data sources in BW succesfully, I´m requesting data from the R/3 system with an infopackage, but after a few hours the follwing failure message occurs in the monitor :
Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
In the TRFC (SM58) log in R/3 there appears an status text with the following entry:
"No service for system SAPABC client 123 in the integration directory".
For this entry I have found the SAPnote 940313. In this note,there is described how to send Idocs over Integration Server. Now I think that our R/3 system tries to send Idocs over the Integration server too.
But is there another alternative to send Idocs from R/3 to BW without using the Integration server?

Hi,
Check whether data sources YISU_CIRCLE_DETAILS, 0FC_CLEARR_TEXT, 0UC_AKLASSE_TEXT is in active state in you developement system or not.
If you dont want to transport these data sources, then unlock these datasource from transport request.
Or
If you are transporting the rules in transport request, then check whether the above mentioned datasource are in active state in production system. If not, then first transport data sources and then transport transfer rules.

ALE/IDOC TRANSPORT ERROR FOR Z TABLE

Dear Experts,
I am new to ALE/IDOC,I am trying a simple scenario by transporting a ztable data between two clients with in a same server.
steps i have done are :
1, created logical system at both sender and receiver.
2, assigned logical system to clients at both side.
3, created segments for fields at Z table and created new message type.
4, created RFC destination and port at both ends.
5, created distribution model at sender.
6, When i generated partner profile at sender i got the below error
"Port could not be created
RFC destination LOGSTM_210 not specified for system LOGSTM_210
Enter the RFC destination and restart the generation"
can any one please help me to solve this error?

Have you added the message type SYNCH to the sender Partner Profile(WE20)?
If not, then you have to manually add this message type to the Partner Profile & give the relevant port details. SYNCH is reqd. for RFC (read port) determination. This is reqd. before the generation of partner profile !!

Transport Error from BI DEV to BI QUAL in Method Exec

Hi: Hope youre all having a wonderful day. I am dealing with a brand new installation of BI7 and ECC 6 (on the R/3 side). Recently I activated some extract structures on the R/3 DEV and had them transported on to the Quality box and everything went well. I then had my Multiprovider/Infocubes/Datasourses on the BI dev transported to BI Quality and everything but some objects did not make it thru. I got an error 8. Hi Bobby,
You need not to activate the Objects in Q system exculsively. Once your transport request is succesfull from D to Q, the Objects will be ready for data loads. Even same with Transfer, Update Rules (3.5) , Transformations, and Infopackages..and routines..etc. Just re-check the missing object in the transport error log and check whether it has been in another request.

i think you got to run catproc.sql script and then see whether plsql.jar may appear in the directory.. also there is dbmsutilities script that might be helpful to you.. may not be the right solution but some trial and errors with those two packages will give you the anser for sure.

Did you check if the script exists, is not already locked in a transport request or is defined in a local class

3. With SE01, you can create a transport request for all table entries.
SE01 - Create button - Workbench request - Give description and save
Select the created request and click on Display object list.
Click on Display - Change button
Insert line button
ProgID: R3TR
Object: TABU
Object name: Z_YOUR_TABLE
Double click on the table name
Insert line
Key: *
Save everything
Release the transport in SE10 transaction and transport with STMS transaction.

My data load got failed and when i checked the error message, it says " Log-on client 200 is not the same as BI clients "600"".
Diagnosis
You are using client-dependent BI functions in client 200. However, the standard BI client is 600.
System Response
The function is terminated.
Procedure
Maintain a destination in the BI standard client. For information, see SAP Note 522569.
I went through the sap note and checked the maintenance of rfc desination. But not able to uderstand this issue. Do anyone have good idea about this issue.

Hi,
In BW, you must work on only client. As the error said, you log on to client 200, but using 600 client as the connected one. Please check the source system conncection whether it is given for the default client in RSADMINA table BWMANDT field or not. if not change that.

Transport error while exporting swf to enterprise

OLD scenario : Server OS : Windows2003, BO XI3.1 Client OS : Windows XP , all BO lcient tools and Xcelsius 2008 ..system works fine in all respects
New Scenario : Server OS upgraded to Windows 2008 with out doing any modifications on the running applicaitions.
All client tools are able to connect to BO Application including designer, deski , importwizrd, webirichclient with EXCEPTION Xelcius 2008.
In Xcelsius 2008 with SP1 --> while tring to export to Business objects platform, upon giving username and password and authenticationi (any) ...waits for 3-4 sec ...pops up " Transport Error : Communication Failure" .... same error while importing also ..application is not getting response from server ...

Sorry for delayed update .The Issue is resolved after un-checking auto assign port to CMS and assigning port number manually.
