Transport Failure - (Infocubes & Update Rules collection)

Hi SDners,
While i transporting the Request (which contain Infocubes and relevant update rules only)from develpment system to quality, the request was failed due to following Errors given below.

Hi,
Create two transport requests -
TR1) Collect the InfoObjects (If newly creted or activated from the Business Content), InfoProviders and the Queries if created.
TR2) Collect the Datasource, Infopackages, Transfer Rules, InfoSources, Update Rules, Transformations and DTPs
Transport TR1 followed by TR2.

Im trying to transport the transformation between the infocube 0FIGL_C10 and the ODS 0FIGL_010 from BI Dev into BI QAS. I kept getting a return code 12.
Transport message:

I go to the log and I got the following message:

Im using BI 7.0
I dont know what it is. Can someone tell what should I do or what Im missing?

Transport routine in update rule

Dear All,
I have new routine in update rule, after development test is ok,
I transported to quality environment, but return with error code: 8.
The new routine and changed update rule are in same request number.
I think maybe I must separate and transport the routine first,
before I transport the update rule.
Now, how transport this routine?
I also confused to find the routine generated number because there are a lot of routine
in this update rule.
I already triggered by update the routine again (to prompt request window),
transported the request and I have the same result.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

"update rules inactive " error when importing transport request

Hi experts,
I am stuck while importing transport request of update rules. I am moving transport request of update rules from 1 system to another and stuck while importing it in 2nd system. Only two update rules are stuck among all giving an error of "inactive update rules".
I have again tranported it twice after activating theose two update rules.
Please help!!!!!

Problem in the update rule routine in BIW production

hi,
I have encountered a problem in the update rule, the problem is, there is a routine to calculate the age of a person, age is a key figure,
The problem is that the key figure is not being calculated.
we had encountered the same problem in the bw developent, we reinstaled the update rule, and the age was calculated correctly. Where as in production we cannot instal from business cotent, should we transport the perticular update rule once again?
if there is any other solution, please let me know.

I think retransporting is the only option available to you. You cannot modify anything in your production system.
IF you have a chance to speak with basis people,ask them to open the system status to modifiable for few minutes.
and make necessary changes in production and bring it back to normal (This is not a best practise in all situations).

Update Rules gets inactive automatically

Hello All,
After the transport of the Update rules with the related objects to the not modifiable system, everything works fine for some time. But after sometime many update rules gets inactive automatically. We hav'nt changed the Info provider or transported any thing.
We are in BI 7.0.Can any one help me to analyse this issue.

This problem may ocurs due to dependecies on the objects that you transported, any way you can activate them using the below Program,
Go to SE38
Run the program : RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL
Give the necessary details and execute the Program.

ODS update rule activation

Can some help me out for ODS (0SD_O03) update rules activation,I am not finding any thread related to this issue.
Please donot suggest for RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL prg.It is for only Infocube update rules activation

RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL program is not only for InfoCubes update rules activation. You can activate any update rule through this program.
In program
S_UPDID give updaterule technical name such as(CONA85AOASV0HQ3B8I6E2EBJM)
S_TARGET give 0SD_O03
S_SOURCE give infosource name

Error while transporting Infocube and Update rules

My infocube is having warnings for 4 key figures as "InfoCube contains the key figure 0DSCT_PCT1 with the impermissible aggregation NOP" .But when I ma trying to transport I am getting eroors in transport but still The cube got migrated in active form.But the update rules are not getting transported.They show me an error Error when activating update rule 3CFLSNV4LN26C1URF15PR6XSA ". This is very urgent for me.

My key figures are in active form only.I transported the active keyfigures from development to quality.I am not supposed to make any changes directly in QA .My problem is in transporting update rules.It gives an error message 095 Error when activating update rule "3CFLSNV4LN26C1URF15PR6XSA"

Transport of update rules from one BW system to another

Hello all,
SAP BW 7.0. Two systems: acceptance, development.
We adjusted 4 old update rules between DSOs and InfoCubes in development system. Trying to transport it to acceptance system (transactions se01, STMS).
Two update rules were transferred succesfully as executable. Other two were transferred as inactive. Overall transfer error code 8.
Strange that when I select some of these update rule and push "check" button it says no errors. But in transport log errors exactly in checking and activating of these rules. Please if someone faced with such strange things suggest a solution.
Want to add that rules are consistent, they are transported fully to acceptance. Proble just two are inective. In development they are active, of course.
Activate after transport not an option. They must be transported as active, all 4.

My friend , kindly follow the steps
Step1
Analyze the transfer rules in development , check for any start routines if any , and also field routines , and also some Tables which are associated with the start routines.
Step2
In case if you find those , first transport those and collect it in a separate request and transport it
Step3
later collect a transfer rule request and go with Over write option ( please tell your BASIS guys )

Can't see Update rules and infopackage in the transport connection

Hello, experts!
I need to transport newly created (and activated) update rules and infopackage from Dev to QA environment. When I open transport connection and select infosource, I don't see new update rules and infopackage. There are few update rules for different source systems in this infosource and I can see all of them in the transport connection except for this new one.

in Transport connection please select ur higher level Object say Infocube...and collect data flow before then you will ur Update rules and IP

Hi,
Are you still facuing the issue ?
No need to worry about the routines, once you save the update rules if there is any routines in it it will be saved in the same request. If you want to check the routines you can check in the transport connections. Transfer the update rule to the right hand side of the screen and you can see all the routines that belong to the UR.
If you know the technical names of the routines you can check in the TADIR table.
Have you transported the info-sources for this update rules ? why not you again capture the info-source and the update rule in a single request and transport again.

The InfoCube(It is already there in Q apd P) has been locked in a different user transport as he added a field to it and not yet transported.

Hi indira,
make neccessary changes to the request if u created earlier i.e u can delete the original request or change the discrption to "Dont delete" and release it, if u unable to delete each task in that particular request.
Second step is activate all the infosources and cubes and Update rules.
Then create transport request individually i.e One for IS and One IC and another for Update rules..It would be easier to trace in case of any error.
Release the requests 4m DEV, and important thing is import these requests in Q or P in hierachiel manner i.e
1. IS
2. IC
and the Update rules request.

Hi Swati,
Before transporting the update rule, in the present scenario, you have to transport the infosource which contains the corresponding "0recordmode".
Whenever you transport anything into the quality or production, the list should be as followed in the given manner :
Seq No     Objects in Request
1     Package(DEVC), InfoArea(AREA), Application Component(APCO)
2     Function Modules
3     Keyfigure Catalog(IOBC), Keyfigures(IOBJ), Units(IOBJ)
4     Characteristic Catalog(IOBC), Characteristic Infoobjects(IOBJ)
5     Infosources (ISCS, ISTD, ISMP, ISTS, ISFS, ROUT) and
                Generic Data Sources(DataSrce Active Version(OSOA), ISMP, ISTS,DataSourceReplica (ISFS)
                and Tables (TABL)
6     Infoproviders(ODS(ODSO), Cube(CUBE), Infoset(ISET))
7     Update Rules(UPDR, ROUT)
8     Infopackages(ISIP)
9     Queries(ELEM)
10     Webtemplates(TMPL, BLTM, BPTM)
Just transport all your things in the above sequence, and it will be done successfully.
Also, remember there should not be any data in the corresponding infoprovider while you transfer the update rule, else it will fail.

Error when activating update rule after transporting to QA

Hi,
When we transport Info cubes and update rules along with Process chains. There are the following errors in Transport request(XXXXXXXX).
1. Error when activating update rule 22HSFD3ZMALU46LS0R8PRF2MW
IC=ZSDPCXY2 IS=2LIS_11_VAITM error when checking the update rules
2. Error when activating update rule 7NT4WIDPDCN2ERFDRXIGH95PM
IC=ZSDPCXY2 IS=2LIS_12_VCHDR error when checking the update rules
and etc.
Then we activated and saved all the erroneous update rules in another tranport request(YYYYYYYY) and again we transported alongwith the previous transport request(XXXXXXXX).
The last request(YYYYYYYY)was successfully tranported and still there are same errors in TR(XXXXXXXX).

Hi Vijay,
Next time you would have transport only (YYYYYYYY). Transport Request (XXXXXXX) was not required to be moved.
Normally Update Rule gets deactivated in QA when any changes to the CUbe/ODS are moved.
Thus either you can transport transport request for only active update rule to QA or activate your UR directly in QA system in case you have authorization to do that.

Error in Transporting Update Rules

I am transporting ODS, Info package and UPdate Rule from Dev to QA.
I request seems to be fine, but transport ended in error.
ODS, IP and UR got transported , but the UR is inactive.
and i dont havr the permission to activate that in QA system.
What could be the reason for inactive UR in QA.
