  • Transport Error - tp finished with return code: 152

    Howdy All,
I put through some transports into Production on Thursday 22/06/2007 which worked succesfully.
Nothing has changed in the instance profiles, TP Parameters or the TMS. Now when I try to transport a different request I get the following :
    26.06.2007                              TP                                     1
Transport executed for:    E75K913986           with command string:

Warning: Parameter DBHOST is no longer used.
Warning: Parameter DBNAME is no longer used.
The import of the transport request E75K913986 for system P75 was not performed.
Please check the tp command. The buffer entry is printed out below.

SWARNS: Highest tp internal severe warning was: 0152

    Transport function error:    Call failed
E75K913986 has previously been imported. It needs to be re-imported because since it went in another transport (which was created before it) has gone and overwritten some of the objects.
Your advice / guidence would be greatly appreciated, there doesn't seem to be too many articles about this error.
    Cheers

I know it has passed 7 years since this problem was recorded, but since we ran into this issue and were looking for assistance, the provided answers above did not apply to our case.  Therefore, we add some tips for the readers:
Check the TMS alert in the system where the transpor was created.  It can be done in many ways, but you ca do STMS >  Monitor > TMS Alert > TMS Alert Viewer
Our issue was with retrofit, which did not exist in 2007.  Basically TMS is reporting that the transport of copies that is being expected does not exist, hence "Nothing done".
Solution was to generate in SolMan via report RETRO_SERVICE_CREATE_RFIT_DATA the missing transport of copies.  Once that was done, we could perform the transport move.

  • Tp finished with return code: 208

    Hi Basis Gurus,
I have received transport data and cofiles from system XYZ. I have copied data and cofiles in /usr/sap/trans/data and /usr/sap/trans/cofiles respectively.
Now I have change my directory to /usr/sap/trans/bin
I want to see the Object List before I import the transport request to my test system TST. I have added the transport request XYZK92????? to buffer with tp addtobuffer command and it is successful. Now when I am trying to see the Object list with command tp GETOBJLIST it is giving error message
This is tp version 340.16.12 (release 640)
System XYZ is not defined in TPPARAM

XYZ system is the system from where I got the transport request and it is not defined in my STMS domain. I guess we can import transport request from any other SAP system.
How to resolve this issue ? is any one aware of this.
    Thanks

1.When trying to move a Function Module to higher box..i get an error which says IMPORT failed.
2.The detail description of error is:
Warning : Parameter DBLIBPATH is no longer used.
Warning : Parameter DBSWPATH is no longer used.

    meaning:
A tool used by tp produced errors.
What could be the possible reason for this error?

    Hi,
Did the import fail (got errors) or just got some warnings?  Please check the import history of the target system to see if the TR was imported.  Did you use CTS (or eCTS) to transport?  If so, please check the TMS Configuration for the involved systems.  In the Transport Tool tab, verify that you have the correct paths for the DBLIBPATH and DBSWPATH paramters.
    Hope it helps.

  • TP finished with return code : 4

    hi
tp import returned with a warning
    R3trans.exe finished <0004>.
tp finished with return code : 4
A tool used by tp produced warnings.
What does this warning mean? How to make sure import was fine? (which folders to look for)
    Thanks

    Hi,
This is very general error that might be because of a number of reasons. You need to check logs of your transport.
    Check in /usr/sap/trans/tmp and /usr/sap/trans/log.
Return Code 4 means warning. If it is not critical after checking logs you can also neglect it.

    Hi Roger,
I suppose that you are using "Extended Transport Control" in your TMS environmant.
The following link is about the details of "Extended Transport Control":
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/1b/9dc2d6e59911d184810000e8a57770/content.htm
To activate "Extended Transport Control", you shoul set tp parameter CTC=1, the default value for it is 0(inactive). At the same time,  you should set the value for parameter tp_version to at least 264. For details, please refer to the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/3d/ad5bcf4ebc11d182bf0000e829fbfe/content.htm
    ->
    ctc
    Default: 0
    Value range: Boolean
ctc stands for Client Transport Control and represents a method of configuration for transport routes. This parameter lets you set specific transport routes using various clients in your system landscape. This method requires an extension of the import buffer. This new format is not understood by old tp programs. Therefore, this new function is switched off by default and the user must explicitly turn it on.
At the same time, the profile generator of the Transport Management System is also delivered. Along with the transport route configuration in the Transport Management System, the transport profile parameter ctc is automatically switched on from the TMS if it is required for your transport landscape.
The new format of the import buffer, activated by ctc=1, requires at least a tp from Release 4.5A. Older tp versions destroy this new import buffer.
When parameter ctc is set, tp requires that you set the value for parameter tp_version to at least 264. This prevents transport control programs with lower version numbers from working with this import buffer. As a result, you can only set the new parameter ctc if all the transport control programs that work with a specific SAP System have at least version 264.
Please check whether ctc=1 and tp_version=264(or higher) are set in transport profile TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL for all systems.
If not, please define them via T-cd:STMS->overview->systems->transport tool.
    With Best Regards

    Hi Everyone,
This is what I did to move on resolving the error. I had in this form asked for soultion for the error "SAPCAR error reading from UCKx6464bit/KUWINDOWSX86_64/DBINDEP/SAPEXE(error5" for which I given the solution to rename the SAPEXE.SAR to SAPEXEOLD.SAR or SAPEXE.SAR.OLD which I did and to my amazement the SAPinst moved on. After that I hit on the error discussed in this thread. I went ahead and renamed the SAPEXEOLD.SAR file to SAPEXE.SAR and pressed retry which gave me the following error.

Frutrated and with the knowledge that SAPinst have behaved weiredly for other in my circle of SAP Netweaver people I pressed retry few times and guess what the installation moved on.
I seriosly did not understand this as to why did SAPinst stopped in the first place and then moved on even thou it had shown an error as I had pressed Retry few times and I don't know what resolved the issue in my both error, but wired solution (as I don't have answer for both the behaviour) worked.
I hope my experience helps other incase they face this or similar issues.
    Cheers!!!!

    Hello Ashish,
First of all BR0292I  is not an error it is just an information message. BR tool error codes will finish with E. I denotesinformation. As suchyou can ignore this informationmessage. However just check if you find any error logs related to it. If so then you need to take care.
    Regards
    Ruchit.

  • Transport fails with return code 12 for 0CHANOTASSIGNED Characteristics

    Dear Experts,
I am transporting the 0CHANOTASSIGNED characteristics from BI Dev to BI QA.
In BI Dev, I use the option Necessary Object.
While importing request into BI QA, it fails with a return code 12. Some of the errors are:
Start of the after-import method RS_IOBJ_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) IOBJ (Activation Mode)
    System error in lock management
Error AD 025 during after import handling of objects with type(s) IOBJ
Start of the after-import method RS_IOBC_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) IOBC (Activation Mode)
Error when checking the InfoObjectCatalog 0CHANOTASSIGNED
InfoObject 0ABCINDIC is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ABCPRC_TYP is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ABCPROCESS is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ACCT_TYPE is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ACTIONREAS is not available in active version
This goes on for lot of infoobjects. If I were to goto RSA1 of BI QA and check any of the above objects, they are 'INACTIVE'.
But they are 'ACTIVE' in BI Dev.
Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks and BR,
    Raj Jain

    Hi I.R.K,
I recreated a trasnport for just one Infoobject (0ABCINDIC) which was one of the objects not active as shown in the logs of BI QA while transport.
I did not make any changes or delete any data etc. I then just transported these request from BI Dev to BI QA.
The transport was successful with return code 0. I then checked this object in RSD1 of BI QA and it was activated.
Any ideas what may be the cause???
    Thanks,
    Raj Jain
