Transport Guarantee Type

Hi all
I have this problem with a system trying to enabling a service: I started SOAMANAGER and activated the service with its endpoint and I can see correctly enabled in sicf as in web service navigator;but if I try totest it (via web service navigator) it prompt me for username and password. If I give it it ask me again and nothing happens (no message error is shown). Analyzing through Details of Service Definition->Edit->Provider Security->Transport Gurantee Type, I can see the option are:
1) HTTPS
2) Signature & Encryption (asymmetric binding)
3) Secure Conversation (Version: February 2005, symmetric binding) bootstrapped with SSL
Till now, I always have found a 4th option that is 'No Transport Gurantee' that here is not available.
What I would like to know is how can I enable this option or if it is not possible, how should I correct one of this to get the service working.
thanks to anyone can helpme
gabriele

Hi,
What type of service is this?
Check if 4th option of "No transport Guarantee" available for another services? if it is available then we need to check this particular service

• Do I get encryption with transport-guarantee set to NONE over HTTPS?

Hello,
If I established HTTPS connection and then access some web resource which either
does not have <user-data-constraint> or has <transport-guarantee> set to NONE. Do
I still have my communication encrypted? I read Servlet spec 2.3, but does not find
it explicitly talking about this. Any pointers? Or this become implementation dependent.
I'm thinking WLS 6.1/7.0 and maybe Tomcat.

Yes, it will still be encrypted, with whatever usual encryption parameters
your
HTTPS connection has. NONE means integrity or confidentialy isn't required
for that resource, but it doesn't prevent you from applying them.

• How to transport device types between clients

Hi everyone!
I need to transport a new device type that has been recently imported to my development client to my test and production clients.
But how do I do that? I'm not that much used to ABAP development workbench.
I've found some tips regarding the use of report RSTXSCRP or SPAD utilities but only for importing or exporting device types. In production clients, this is not possible since the system is not modifiable.
Any help or tip is appreciated.
Thanks,
Paulo

Changing the device type in your DEV client should have generated a transport.
If it didn't, you should be able to create one manually with the attributes R3TR PRIN DEVICENAME (Program ID, Object Type, Object Name).
For example, if you changed or created a device type named ZHPLJ4, your transport task would have an entry for
R3TR  PRIN  ZHPLJ4

hi,
Change requests:- Changes to Repository and Customizing objects are recorded in change requests

Transporting Customizing Settings
All system setting changes are put in project-specific change requests. You can transport the system settings into other SAP Systems with the change requests. The change requests are managed in the Transport Organizer.
There are two types of Customizing change requests:
Customizing request
Customizing requests contain changes to client-dependent tables.
Workbench request
Workbench requests contain changes to client-independent tables.
You can monitor the change requests by project in the project management. The Transport requests tab contains the following functions for the current client:
Activate CTS functionality
As prerequisite for creating change requests. When the CTS functionality is active, the pushbutton label changes to Display CTS project data. When the CTS project is finished, the pushbutton label changes to Reactivate CTS functionality.
Assigned CTS requests
Go to Transport Organizer request overview, where you can create requests for a project.
CTS project object list
The project object list is unchanged. When the customizing project is finished, the complete object list can be exported.
CTS project status switch
Sets the project status switch.
End CTS project…
End your customizing project. You can reactivate it later.
See transport control by project for further information about the Change and Transport System (CTS) for customizing projects.

Hi,
For the transportation process, we have transportation from source and destination. For each type of transportation, do we need to create two condition type at source and at destination. There is already an exisiting condition type (ZLT0).

Hi,
You can map type of transportation as shipping type and map each source & destination as route and creat only one condition on

• Consumer-Proxy authentication via x.509 Certificate

Hi experts,
I want to consume a service from a erp system and authenticate via x.509 SSL Certificate. But in soamanager there is no checkbox for this authentication method when I create the logical port. Only u201CUser Id / passwordu201D and u201CSAP authentication Assertion Ticketu201D are existing under consumer security. Has someone any idea / hint? I have no Idea how I can solve the problemu2026

The Basis Team installed the x.509 client certificate.
The logon to a service which is running on SAP ECC 6.0 works via SSL and Client Certificate. (Configuration in SOAMANAGER
 Provider Security -> Transport Guarantee Type: Https
 HTTP Authentication: x.509 SSL Client Certificate via Https)
But the authentication to a consumer proxy from SAP to a legacy system only works vie http and username / password at the moment
In SOAMANAGER -> Logical Port -> Consumer Security there is no opportunity for SSL oder Client certificate. There are only the two opportunities:
     User ID / Password
     SAP Authentication Assertion Ticket
In SOAMANAGER -> Logical Port -> Transport Settings: there is an opportunity to select Https. Is this selection enough for x.509 Client Certificate and SSL?
Someone an idea how to configure a consumer proxy (SAP ECC 6.0) for certificate authentication?

• SSL Certificate necessary for web Service with HTTPS encoding?

Hi experts,
I wanna create a Web Service with HTTPS. Now when I create an endpoint in Transaction SOAMANAGER, I use "Transport Guarantee Type" HTTPS. I'm a little bit confused, becuase at "Authentication Method I have different options which I don't understand.
At Authentication Method, there are some check boxes.
Whats the difference between HTTP Authentication and Message Authentication?
(Why) can I use User ID/Password as Authentication Method with HTTPS? I think I need X.509 SSL Client Certificate.
What is a Logon Ticket?
Is there a good Documentation in the web, who explains the meaning of the different options and when to use which option?
Thanks and regards,

• FORM auth-method not working, it still gives a BASIC type pop-up box.

Hi All,
I'm trying to secure a web application running on Web As 7. I created a login module stack and put it into web-j2ee-engine.xml along with the security role map...
<login-module-configuration>
<login-module-stack>
<login-module>
<login-module-name>EvaluateTicketLoginModule</login-module-name>
<flag>sufficient</flag>
<options>

<value>true</value>

</options>
</login-module>
<login-module>
<login-module-name>BasicPasswordLoginModule</login-module-name>
<flag>requisite</flag>
</login-module>
<login-module>
<login-module-name>CreateTicketLoginModule</login-module-name>
<flag>optional</flag>
<options>

<value>true</value>

</options>
</login-module>
</login-module-stack>
<password-change-config/>
</login-module-configuration>

<role-name>AppEveryone</role-name>
<server-role-name>all</server-role-name>
</security-role-map>
Then I added the auth-method, security-role, and security-constraint to the web.xml file...
<login-config>
<auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
<realm-name>AppRealm</realm-name>
</login-config>
<security-role>

AppEveryone

<role-name>AppEveryone</role-name>
</security-role>
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>General access restriction</web-resource-name>

<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>

AppEveryone

<role-name>AppEveryone</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
<user-data-constraint>
<transport-guarantee>NONE</transport-guarantee>
</user-data-constraint>
</security-constraint>
... and everything works fine. If the user allready has a logon ticket they get right into the application, and if they don't have a ticket, a standard web-browser dialogue box pops-up and asks for a username and password. If they authenticate with the dialogue box, they are then given a logon ticket and sent to the application.
So now I want to use an html page rather than the dialog-pop-up box for entering the username and password. So from what I can tell, I still need to use the BasicPasswordLoginModule but I need to change the login-config section of web.xml.
So I changed the <login-config> section of the web.xml to this...
<login-config>
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<realm-name>AppRealm</realm-name>
<form-login-config>
<form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
<form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
</form-login-config>
</login-config>
I then created the login.html and error.html files and put them in the same directory as the .WAR file (I also put copies in the \root directory incase my path wasn't right). They are as follows...
login.html -

Login Test: Login Form

Login Form
Welcome to the login page.
You will have to authenticate to get access to the secure area: Username:
Password:

error.html -

Login Test: Error logging in

Error Logging In...
I am sorry, you must have put in the wrong username/password.

But for whatever reason I'm still getting the browser pop-up box instead of my form when I try to access the application. What am I doing wrong? I am making all these changes after the app has been deployed, do these changes to the xml files need to be done during the build phase? If anybody has any ideas please let me know... you will be rewarded.

The issue has been resolved. There was no interesting work-a-round or fix involved.

• How to collect the BPC parameters into a transport

Hi All
We are in process of transporting out environment for the first time. How are we going to collect all the entries of the BPC parameters in a transport request.
I want to collect all the entries of the UJ0_PARAM_APP table to a transport request. is this we need to do or It has to be manually done when the system is installed in higher environments.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance
AK

Hi AK,
First of all, not all BPC parameters are transportable. Main reason is that they don't always have to have same value across the landscape. For example, you might want having LOG and STATS set to ON in Dev, but not in Prod. Another reason is that some of them will be generated during first write-back.
Most of the parameters are included in transport if you check Configuration check mark in BPC transport collection.
If you still have some parameters that didn't come over you can manually include them in the transport as Type "Table Entry".

• In invoice sum of weight for the calculation of a item condition transport

Hy all,
I created 2 order with the same sold to party but two different ship to party.
In these sales order I have a transport condition type with a Freight condition category. For this item condition, I created condition records via VK11. The scale Basis is the weight.
I delivered the two orders and I want to create only one invoice.
My conditions are wrong in the invoice, SAP take the sum of the two weights and display the wrong amount.
Why does not SAP take each weight ?
Apparently I do not have the mistake when the ship to party are the sameu2026
Do you have an idea ?
Thanks
Pierre

Here an example :
in the order
item 10 : weight 10 --> condition = 10 u20AC
item 20 weight 10 --> condition = 10 u20AC
(weight 20 : 20 u20AC°)
Invoice
item 10 : condition 20 u20AC
Item 20 : condition 20 u20AC
I am waiting for 10 u20AC in the condition.

• Transports - Please help urgently

Hi,
One of our development folk has created a query, customer Exit and variable (for customer text filter). Now, I need to Transport the same to QA.
My question is,
1. Do I need to transport only the query so that all (customer exit and variable) will be transported?
2. Or, I need to transport Query as well as variable?
3. Or I need to transport all the three?
4. I know the customer exit name. How to transport the customer exit?
Advance Thanks.

Go to Transport tool.
Drag and Drop the Query you have created with Grouping option as 'only Necessary Objects".
Then you should be able to see your enhanced/new objetcs.
1. No. All.
2. Yes. Both
3. Yes. All
4. If thats not coming with above grouping options, you can find customer exits by using "More Types" in Transport Object type selection.
Hope this helps
Anand.

• Transport of release strategies

Hello all
Could anybody explain me how to transport release strategies (classification)? I found the note 45951, but is not clear for me.
First, how do I have to save the changes on SPRO-Material management-Purchasing-Purchase requisition-Release procedure-Procedure with classification-Set up procedure with classification-Release strategies? I tried with menu Table view-transport is this correct? if not, how do I have to do?
Then, when I have a transport number which are the following steps?
Could anybody help me?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Henrique,
The transport of Customizing data in the release procedure area 'Release strategies' can only be used in a restricted manner. The 'Transport' function displayed in Customizing under 'Table view' only takes the
release strategies into account but not the dependent data of the release prerequisites, the release statuses and classification data.
If you want to transport release strategies, proceed as described below:
1. Transport of release strategies (entries in table T16FS)
Use the transport function Customizing under 'Table view' - 'Transport'.
2. Transport of Release prerequisites (entries in table T16FV)
You can display all required entries of table T16FV which contains the release prerequisites for the corrresponding release strategy using the table display Transaction SE16 specifying the release group to be transported and the release strategy. Implement these table entries manually in a transport request.
Program ID:                   R3TR
Object type of the element: TABU
Object name:                  T16FV
Client                           Client
Release group                 Release group
Release strategy              Release strategy
Release code                  *
3. Transport of Release statuses (entries in table T16FK)
You can display all required entries of the table T16FK which contains the release statuses for the corresponding release strategy using the table display of Transaction SE16 specifying the release group to be transported and the release strategy.
Implement these table entries manually into a transport request.
Program ID:                     R3TR
Object type of the element: TABU
Object name:                    T16FK
Client                          Client
Release group                   Release group
Release strategy                Release strategy
Release code                    *
4. Transport of classification data into release strategy
Read Note 45951.
Transport class type 032 (release strategy), the class, which you use for the release procedure, and the characteristics which are assigned to this class.
>> Above instructions extracted from note 86900 <<
Hope it helps to solve the issue!
