Transport Manually

Hi Friends,
Recenlty i made some changes in dev to transport, but i tried with several changes with several request and i released all those request. Now the problem is i don't know what is my acutal request no to transport.
The changes i have done are
1. I have added one start routine in update rules of ODS
2. I have created one Info package including ABAP routine
in IP fiscal period.
3. I have added the new infopacke in the process chain.
Now can i transport all these changes by manually selecting these changes in transport agent?
Could you please give me a detail.

Srinivas,
Go to the transfer/update rule where you did the code change. On the top menu choose Extra>Object Directory Entry> Choose the Object Attribute, (the square) and it will tell you details about the transport. If this method id hard, you can do the same from RSA1>Transport Connection>Update Rule> But you need the update rule technical name to be quick or else you can search (it may be tedious). To get the technical name do the same Extra>Object Directory Entry> and that long technical name you can use.
Do the same thing for the info package. Go to the info package>Extra>Object Directory Entry you will see it there too.

Hi,
selecting "select for transport" is an pointer for the upgrade/ehpi tool that these requests are need to be exported by the tool.
the respective export happens in the UEXP_SPDD and UEXP_SPAU phases.
You can also release the requests under certain conditions : for example, modifications needs to be merged, or by chance the requests are not maked for transport. The correct procedure in such cases is as explained in SAPnote # 68678. This will take care of all the conditions and no other manual work is required.

SAP query Transport manual activity in Production

All,
Do we really need to use manual step to import the query to production system using some program ? will not be automatic as we do it normal reports ?
Why this manual step needed ?

Is there anyway to Lock the new entries I created into a transport and move across my system landscape ?

So create R3TR TABU entry in your order and table names are SXPGCOTABE for "SAP" type command and SXPGCOSTAB for "Customer" type, provide the key list.

Table Maintenance: Manual Transport for Entries in Customizing Table

Dear forum,
i'm facing a tricky problem at the moment. My customer wants the maintain a customizing table, but he does not want to transport the entries automatically (don't ask me for the reason), but manually.
The online help tells me, that this can be done.
In the SE11 i chose untilities -> table maintenance generator and for the subscreen "dialog data transport details" i chose "no or user, recording routine".
Continuing wiht the SE11 i chose untilities -> table maintenance generator -> environment -> maintenance objects -> transport "manual transport".
In the SE54 i created the events 10, 11 and 12 with the recommended coding from the online help.
But when i start the Maintenance via SM30 the points in the menue table view -> transport or edit -> transport are not active.
The function group does not include any generated statuses to activate the menue-points. What is missing toi get the popup, that asks me for the transport number?
Can somebody help me out or tried this before?

Manual transport
The object maintenance transaction offers a manual link to transports. You can branch to it by selecting the Transport menu option. In the transport session, you can then select objects to place them in a Change request. A special transport program may be available instead of the menu option Transport, to place the object in a change request. The setting Manual transport means that changes to the object are not automatically recorded. If the maintenance transaction offers an automatic transport link, in addition to the manual one, you should select the setting Automatic transport.
What has to be done to realise it except creating the events?

How to manually create a transport for table T604 update?

Hi Gurus,
I upated table T604 with transaction VEU4 - but at the time if saving it did NOT prompt for a transport request
Now, I have to move the data (updated table ) to quality box / prodcution
Instead of using again trx VEU4 in quality / prodcution boxes, I want o create an empty transport manually and then assign table T604 to that transport and move to next box.
Is that possible ? If so, can sombody explain the steps, please : how to manually create a transport and assign ojbects (table object) to it

Not sure how you have updated T604 in VEU4, but if you go to SM30 transaction with T604 table and click Customization, then it will take you to the place in SPRO where the table is maintained. From there, use the menu Table View -> Transport and create a transport request. Then select the entries you need to transport (all, if necessary) and go to the menu Edit -> Transport -> Include in Request.

Manual Transport Objects

Hi Gurus,
Can anybody list the CRM objects to be transported manually. We are facing problems in transporting - Data Sources (used in Segmentation), Marketing Set/Attributes (Master Data), Email Forms (created from Mail Templates), Org. Model relationships etc.

How can you get a transport back

I did the following.
I did not have my routes set up in stms
I released some tranports
How can I get these tranports back into any of my systems.

If the transports were released as a workbench request you should be able to find them in the transport directory, that should be <drive>:\usr\sap\<sid>\trans\ you need both the co-file and the data file. the names of the files should be K<number>.<sid> for the cofile and R<number>.<sid> for the datafile
You should configure your transport route properly but if you get this files you can transport manually by copying those files to the transport directory of the destination system and use STMS -> choose import queue -> go to extras -> Other requests -> Add

Automatic creation of transportation lanes betwen intercompany plants

Hello Experts,
I need to create transportation lanes automatically through integration model between two intercompany plants. The relation between these two plants are of vendor--> customer in ECC and the documents used are of sales / PO type. Source list is availalbe for the purchasing plant. Is it possible to create transportation lane using source list? If this requires an enhancement, which BAdI is applicable?

What is the Purchasing Document used - Purchasing Info Records or Contracts? You can CIF any of these to APO to create Procurement Relationships which in turn automatically creates Transportation Lane. You have to assign Means of Transport manually though. Note - T Lanes created with reference to Contract are however not used by SNP for source determination.
The other option is Special Procurement Key - if assigned in Material Master will automatically create TLane in APO when Materials are CIFed. Downside of that process is no control on TLane Validity Date and / or other Planning Parameters like Lot Size / PDT.
As for creation of T Lane based on Source List - SAP Help mentions it can be used but have not seen in any live project so cannot comment.

Number range transport problem in Internal orders

I created new internal order type in KOT2_OPA t. code and at the time of saving it is asking number range. so i assigned one number range interval to the order type and saved the application in development server and noted down the request number. i released the request to the Testing and Quality server. in that it is not showing the number range in quality server. What i have to do. Does i have to do any configuration for the moving of number ranges to testing from development. please guide me deeply it is very urgent for me.

How to transport standard text in SO10 to different system.

I need to change the standard text in SO10. I need to change the custom text. We have a custom text id (zval) associated with it. How to transport the changes i have done from Dev to Quality to Production.
I wanted one clarification: when we create the transport manually, whether only those changes what i have done for the text can be transported or it will include all the other text which are initially present (like table entries). From the program RSTXTRAN, can you give the what are the inputs need to given.

Steps..
Create a work bench CR in the transaction SE09..
Modify the task to Development correction / Repair..
Go to the program RSTXTRAN..
In the name of correction give the task number (Not the CR number)
Give the Text Key..Your standard text name..
Press F8...
Press select all..
Then Press enter..
Then press the button "Trsfr texts to corr".
Now the standard texts will be moved to a CR..
Then release the CR and move it to QA..

How to create a transportable object

Hi All,
I am in ECC 5.0 version . I am doing a SO10 change which doesn't generate a transport. I have heard people saying that a transport can be generated manually even though it is not generated by the system. Can somebody help me out with the steps to generate the transport manually.

SC 3.2 - scinstall fails cluster transport discovery

I'm trying to install a cluster on 2 v240 servers running Solaris 10 U4 (08/07) built from a custom Jumpstart profile. Both systems have 4 network connections (2 public, 2 private), spread across a total of 3 VLANs (one public, two private). The cluster software installs just fine, but when it comes time to run 'scinstall' to build the cluster, I get the following error:

    adapters and non tagged VLAN adapters on the same private interconnect

I can plumb and configure an IP on all of interfaces in both machines and they can see each other (ping and arp both work fine).
I did find one thing while looking through the log though. I am configuring these through SSH, and it appears that the SSH banner was causing a bit of a problem. Notice in the output below that the expected probe information is the words from the legal disclaimer in the SSH banner.

ABAP Query transports not handled by CHARM

Hi,
How should ABAP query transports be handled in CHARM??
The ABAP query transport tool doesn't allow picking a transport that is already created (Own transport), it creates a new transports which is outside of CHARM. I had to assign the objects in the transport manually to the appropriate CHARM transport.
Any ideas???
ABAP query don't seem to be using the standard transport tool.

now I am totally confused as to how I might transport these into production!! I must be missing a trick somewhere... do I have to add these into a transport manually?

Hello,
The sequence of transport should be like :
1- Transport your Function Modules
2- Transport your variables
3- Transport your Levels and/or Functions and/or Layouts where you use these variables.
For 1, you should have a transport request (see SE01) that was automatically generated when activating it.
For 2 and 3, you can use the standard transport function in BPS0, but there you will have to transport all the variables. In case you only want to transport selected variables, use UPC_TRANSPORT_BPS_ALL (SE38).
