Transport of APD process

Hi,
has anyone of you transported a APD process? We try to transport from a DEV system to the TST system. The transport is OK (only zeros, not even a varning somewhere), but what we get in the TST system is a modified version, not the active one. And since the TST system is closed, we cannot activate the APD process and hence not run it either.
Any ideas?

Basically you can get to the APD from transaction RSANWB. Start creating a new process using a query as the source of data. You can provide a transactional ODS as a data target and you also have the opportunity of changing the data using predefined functions, or also ABAP code before loading into the ODS.

How to include an APD process in BW Process Chain

HI,
I have an existing process chain that I want to add an APD process to. There are dependencies. For example, I want the last 2 steps in the existing process chain to continue AFTER the APD process runs successfully. So, how would I include an APD process in my existing chain, I cannot find the variant that says APD in RSPC.

However, my process chain fails at that step with tthe following error:

APD Process Query to flatfile

I have created a APD process which generates a query output to faltfile.
Wehn i run the process all values from the query output are diaplayed in the file. BUt only one filed dosent get extracted from APD.
has values in Query output but not in the APD generated file..
ITs just a straight forward field, no routine for that in APD.
Please can anyone suggest what can be the problem?
Its quite urgent...

give source field/ target fields appropriately.
follwing is a sample code.

Saving images from apd process automatically into DSO or DB?

Hi All,
Is there any possibility to save those statistical graphs or cluster/regression-analyses images right into a DSO or Database?
i know i can rightclick them and save thats not what i need.
Or is there any way to trigger the apd-process except (RSAN_PROCESS_EXCECUTE) and tell the process to save certain images?
i searched the forum for answers but no success...

You'll need to submit a feature request.

You can quickly correct the incorrect sizing by right
clicking and selecting Resize. Unfortunately it has to be done with
each image.
Potentially you could use FAR from
http://www.helpware.net to do a
mass find and replace but be careful and make a backup first.

APD process til CRM attribute with type CURR

Hi Experts
I have an APD process that I want to write 0amount to a CRM marketing attribute. Similar processes work fine with CHAR, DEC, and so on. It is only when I use CURR (0amount) that it does not work. The CRM 3.1 system says it is something wrong with the marketing attribute. We use BW 3.5. Have anyone experienced something similar?

APD process is active, How to trigger the data from BI to CRM table

Hi All,
I want to send data from BI system(using APD method) to CRM table (ADS method).
I am able to see the table for e.g ABCD in CRM system , i can open using SE11 , but data is 0.
In BI , i have data in DSO and i have mapped it in APD process to data Target to CRM system and APD is active.
Now i want to know how to trigger the data from BI to CRM table? (e.g ABCD).
Please let me know the steps.

Just create a Process Chain to execute this APD method, if the process Chain is already available, then just insert this Process in to the process Chain and execute the Process Chain by normal process, by hoe we do in general.

One of the APD Process Chains fails.

I have created two different process chain (PC1 and PC2 for example)which use program RSAN_PROCESS_EXECUTE to execute the two diiferent APD (APD1 and APD2 for example) . PC1/PC2 executes APD1/APD2 respectively.Both the process chain have the same trigger event.
The issues is that only one of the process runs successfully and the other fails at the program RSAN_PROCESS_EXECUTE
For example if the PC1 runs PC2 fails at the program RSAN_PROCESS_EXECUTE and vice versa.
The Error message it displays is
1) Job started     S     00     516
2) Step 001 started (program RSPROCESS, variant &0000000155350, user ID ALEREMOTE)      S     00     550
3) Spool request (number 0000030567) created without immediate output       S     SY     355
4) Processing completed with errors. See spool list     E     RSAN_PR     22

To check the detailed error message for failure of APD, check in RSANWB, goto that APD and click on monitor.
You will find the spool over there.
Check the error message and let us know, so that we can try to help you out.
It can be due to authorization issue or due to low memory.

Error while Transporting changes in Process chain

I have added a Hierarchy InfoPackage in Process chain and added this InfoObject in Save hierarchy and Attribute change Run Process types.
My transport Request is showing only three entries each for
save hierarchy , attribute change run and one for Process Chain.
Now when I transport this changes to Process chain to Acceptance its showing Error message in Acceptance as

Hi Pratap,
       The infopackage has not yet been assigned to a package in all probabilty. Change the package and then transport the IP and then transpost the process chain request.

Customizing Transport Request Assignment process to Local Objects

Hi,
I am developing custom report, which will find out all dependent and local objects for given transport request. When we select the local objects and save, it has to show standard saving process screens...like package and TR screens.
I am trying the above problem using 'TRINT_TADIR_POPUP', 'TRINT_ORDER_CHOICE' and 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' function module, but this function module 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' giving exception ob_check_obj_error.
So, please let me know anyone have solution for assigning local objects to package and TR through customization (Programmatically).

Modifiying, Transporting and Scheduling Process Chain

Hello ALL,
i have to create a new process chain for a delta Load and put this process chain in a big existing Meta Chain, after i have to transport to Quality System.
if i control the difference between Dev and Quality system to have an idea i see that the Infopackages in Dev have the execution tab: Load Data Immediately without job: BI_BTCH
in Quality some Infopackages have execution tab: run successively in batch with job like this:

can you tell me please in detail how should i complete this activity:
- wich type of control should i do before creating and modifiying process chain in DEV and Quality
- how should i do to control in Quality the scheduling of a process chain
- if i modify a process chain in DEV and after i will transport in Quality what will be the affect in Scheduling, the scheduling will be the same without problem or i have to schedule again
- in generale how can i schedule a process chain, wich transaction and how in detail

Hi Bilal,
1) EVENT: When you want to have a process chain 'A' to be started after completion of a process chain 'B' or any process in process chain 'B' we can use this event. These two chains can also be from different BI systems. Like Chain 'A' could be from one production system and Chain 'B' could be from different production system. As soon as the chain A finished an event will be triggered and this event will trigger the chain B. The start time of chain B might differ because it depends on the completion of chain A. To schedule a process chain using an event, Go to Tcode: RSPC look for your chain. Switch to change mode. Right click on the start variant and select maintain variant. Click on "change selections. click on "after event," give the event name in the slot and select the periodic job.
2) RUN JOB PERIODICALLY: When you want to have the chain run for more than once periodically we select this option. Suppose, chain B has to run after completion of chain A periodically we have to use this option. If you do not check this option, your chain B will run only once when the event is triggered after completion of Chain A. From the next time onwards, it not run even the event is triggered.
3) JOB: For every process when it runs a job will be created assainging it to a work process in the system. Similarly, when the chain starts a job will be created containing the log of the run. Also, in the scheduling options of a process chain, you can have your process chain started after completion of a particular job in the system (ex: an attribute change). For this, Go to Tcode: RSPC look for your chain. Switch to change mode. Right click on the start variant and select maintain variant. Click on "change selections. click on "after job" give the job name in the slot and save the settings.
4) SCHEDULING PROCESS CHAIN: Means to make settings to a process chain so that it will run on a periodic basis at a certain time. If you want to start a chain immediately, you will choose the option immediately and trigger it. It will run for only once. But, if you want to have your chain run everyday at 7:00 am in the morning, you have to schedule it using the scheduling options as below:
In Tcode: RSPC look for your chain. Switch to change mode. Right click on the start variant and select maintain variant. Click on "change selections." Click on Date/Time button. Give the start date and time in the Scheduled Start slots. (Ex: 09-04-2009, 7:00, to have the chain run at 7:00 everyday starting from tomorrow). Tick the check box Periodic job in the bottom and click on "periodic values" button and select the option as daily and save it. Then click on "Restrictions" button to specify the factory calander. The Tcode for calander is SCAL, where you can see all the factory calanders in the system and you can choose that suits your requirement. Save the changes and navigate back to process chain maintaince screen and click on "Schedule" button.
Now your chain is automated for trigger

Problem with a transport Guided Procedures process - INVALID_LANGUAGE

Good day. I have a process created in GP. It contains many objects where Original Language is not English. Also the folders, where the process lays, have the Original Language - not English.
When we try to create a request we get an error: Cannot export transport request;
com.sap.caf.eu.gp.base.exception.EngineException: Function module
EUP_TSP_EXPORT produced ABAP exception at SAP system: INVALID_LANGUAGE
How we can fix it?
Also we tried to create a dummy folder with the Original Language - English and there weren't any troubles. So the problem in the Original Language... If we only could to change it for the existing objects, but the field is disabled. May be there is some workaround to change a language for the existing objects?

As a workaround you can export this process in .sda file and than deploy it on the backend system.

It should not affect the transport. Still a question, Does the transport request contain anything from the process chain?. If you could wait for sometime then do it after the process chain run is completed. Though I think unless you change anything in the Process chain like infopackage selection, etc. the transport should go through.
