Transport of CKF

hI EXPERTS
I changed on CKF in one query. Now I need to transport query .Do I need to save CKF in one Transport order and query in second transport order and then release in that order?am I right?or can I save both in same Transport order?
Thanks.
Rgds.

Hi Olin,
There i no need to create separate transports.
GOto Transport connection -- object types -- queries -- select your query -- collect all the query and query elements into a sinlge TR and port it to QA and to Prod.(you can find your CKF while colelcting the Query elements)

  • Transport of changes to quereis and CKFs & RKFs

    Hi Gurus,
I have a Multicube and a  number of queries that has been transported to HIQ already.  I have made a significant changes to these queries in HID, i.e. chges to CKFs, RKFs, including description changes as well as deleting some KFs, and additional KFs.
I have tried to transport to HIQ by collecting these specific queries and all below and putting the multicube in a separate transport with only necessary objects.
I transported the Cube first and then all 25 queries in one transport.
My problem is that in HIQ I have RKFs & CKFs and Queries that I have deleted or renamed in HID.  How do I get both enviroments back in sync ?
    Thanks for your help.
    Laura

    Hi,
    1) Do I need a separate transport for each query ?
No you can capture multiple queries in one transport
    2) Do I include the Multiprovider in one of these transports ? and/or the Cubes in the MultiCube ?
No, there is no need to include multiprovider or cube.

  • CKF, RKF or Structures locking queries in Development sytem.

Our BW environment is set up to allow "Z" and "Y" queries. When creating a "Z" or "Y" query in the dev environments if a previously transported CKF, RKF or structure is added to the query, it locks after closing. Our QEA and PEA system allows creation of a "Y" query using transported CKF, RKF or structure without the query becoming locked. (The CKF, RKF or structures remained locked). Can anyone tell me how to get the DEA system to behave like the other two systems? Or if there is an OS Note that addresses this issue?
The development system is open and the ELEM type is set to everything changeable.
Thanks for your responses in advance

CKF = Calculated Key figures, RKF = Restricted Key figures.  Our "Z" queries are transported queries and "Y" queries are for temporary ad-hoc reports and can be created in the production and quality control systems.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Unable to Transport Querys Object (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'

    Hi,
We need to transport some querys from production BW 7.3.1SP7 to synch with Dev.  I know, I know but had no choice but to created querys in PBW due to no data in DEV...
In RSA1, we collect query and get errors for every object (ckf, rkf, vars etc) and when changing dsiplay from hiearchy to list, there are no objects included under the query element.
Opened the system in SCC4 for automatic recording of changes and changes to repository and cross clinet customization allowed and changed the client role to Test.
Tried opening and resaving the query in query designer.
Query is active in table RSRREPDIR
Checked SCN and OSS have yet to find a solution

    Here are the error details
Object '4T3M5JI7050ENPG6G336XWYNK' (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'
    Message no. RSO252
    Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '4T3M5JI7050ENPG6G336XWYNK' (in transport request ELEM) of type 'Query' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
    System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Thank you so much for your time!

This is an SAP BUG which is corrected by this note:
    > 1762785 - Object '!XYZ...' (ELEM) of type Query is not available.
    > 1816332 - Object 'XYZ...' (ELEM) cannot be collected (RSO296)

  • Regarding query transport in BW quality system

    Hi Experts ,
When I transport my query to BW quality system. It is showing error like "error activating element " .
I searched in SCN and found that name for this technical element can be seen in RSZELTDIR table.
I got technical name and it was query name itself. Again I transported only this element and it is giving same error.
I am working in BW 7.4 and fresh implementation is going on .
Is there anything which is missing while transport query in quality system .
    I have attached snapshot .
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Devesh Varshney

    Hi,
Please try to check and follow below steps.
    1. Thru RSA1-->transport connection, collect your query and all elements(RKC,CKF,variables ..etc)
    2. Later check qll query elements are saved in custom package or &tmp. if its in $tmp then save package and store into custom package.
    3. collect objects into new Transport request.
    4. Check your transport request have any inconsistencies thru program - RSO_TLOGO_CHECK_REQUEST. Or
    5. later release and import to targets system.
Even cross check query have any inconsistencies thru program - QUERY_CHECK.
if you get error, please share error information in detailed.
    Thanks

  • Variables in Transports

    Hi experts
I am creating new queries in Development. This query is using some variables and restricted key figures. One other team is developing one new query which is using same variables and restricted keyfigures and calculated key figures. My transport will go after his transport to Quality. Will there be dependencies and problems while transporting to Quality or Production...
    Regards,
    P Olin

Suppose If you made changes to the variables and RKFs ,  then you need to transport the changes but keep in mind that if you transport the changes the other quereis where these variables and RKFs may change and those queries may effect and may not work properly.
Are you taking about the variables and CKF/RKFs that you are using in your query that are already existin some bodys query or you had create your own variables and RKFs for your query?
If you are talking about the variables and RKFs that you had created seperately for your query requirement then you need to collect them in the TR before transporting and send them to Production.
If you are talking about the already existing variables and RKFs that are used in some bodys query
Then if you try to make changes it will not allow you to make changes unless you are the owner or creator of the variables query.

  • Issue in query transport

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue with transporting changed query as below:
I made some changes to existing query by adding that query in new transport. Now when i transport that request to production newly added changes/columns are not getting reflected in prod.
Transport is getting released successfully and also getting imported in prod successfully. Newly added columns are CKF and RKF. I tried all possible solutions a could.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Vishal

Please check New CKF and RKF is collected in request if not then collect it.
You also can check in RSA1--> Trasport connection, By draging Query. There you can check new CKF and RKF in which Package. It's might be in $Temp package. Chage it and trasport

  • Transports Object Name definition

I have some old transports I'm going through trying to figure out what is in them. There are several that show "Elements of query builder" with a long object name. I tried searching RSZCOMPDIR and not all of these are queries. Is there an easier way to look up exactly what objects are in a particular transport?

    Hi Angie,
There are individual query elements that collectively form a query. This query element can be a RKF, CKF, Variable, structure or Filters. Looking at just the technical name I dont think we can figure it out what is that element, But if you know the name of the query then you can find out all the elements of this query in RSA1 -> Transport Connection. Drag the query to right hand side and Grouping by Only necessary objects. Here you will get all the query elements of this query.

  • Query Changes: Variable not collected in Transport

    Hi Experts,
Intiatlly some one created a query and it was transported to BWQ from BWD.
Due to some changes, I needed to rework on the query. For that I did the following:
    a. In the Administrator Transport Workbench, I collected the query
    b. CLicked on the Transport checkbox
    c. Then assigned a new BEX Transport request.
    d. I then made changes in the query plus added a variable in the query.
    e. I checked my query and it was working fine in BWD.
Now when I transport this query to BWQ, the transport fails and says
    "Error when acitvating element 4DKMNO0UMEXIN0FHM6RYXXJ3F"
"Element 4E5X3H4IQ5BEDSZY1I6GW4P2J" is missing in version M"
I think the transport is missing the variable I created. So why is this not collected?
Secondly since this transport request was released will I have to recollect the query and variable. If so how?
    Thanks,
    Hundia

    I raised an OSS Message.
    The reply from SAP was:
"We have analyzed the situation with the inconsistent queries.
    1. The error message
'Unable ot detect element type for Element Recreated Formula:
DBJFSQOSAL3WPK8LSCNUWNAJ"' is raise as a result of incorrect repair
procedure most likely perfomed by the program ANALYZE_MISSING_ELEMENTS.
This is very old report which allowes repair, but unfortunately this
repair is not correct. Therefore we do not recommend you to use it
    in similar cases.
The element DBJFSQOSAL3WPK8LSCNUWNAJ recreated by the program as a
local formula must have type Calculated Key Figure. This info can be
obtained just by analysis of the corresponding structure members which
has to represent this CKF in the query...
    2. Missing element and INCONSISTENCY. This is logically related to
the first case. I have perfomed extended anylysis and the situation is
    the following.
    Affected query YTEMP_ZSCNNM04_01 (4B75NN07LN3TJVDW9VX8OUACR) contains
one unresolved reference to 4B773WHW1GK5WZAPK5CZHZSH7. This missing
element can be a local structure member (FLM or SEL) or a reusable
object like calculated or restricted KF
    Affected query ZORQSP_ZSPNNM021_NN_05 (4DUV3IK29VBJESNEWX20PBXM3) also
contains one unresolved reference. This is pretty similar to the case
above. The missing element is CKF. This can be found from the definitionof the related element.
Affected query YY_FT_TEST has 3 unresolved references. Here the case
is a bit different. According to my analysis the missing elements are
just such global part of a query like Filter and Sheet. This more less
means the entire definition of this query is not available.
    Possible solution.
As far as I see, all missing elements are local for the BWD system.
This means that most likely we can not use transports from the other
system. By just to use this option aswell, please check if some of thesemissing can be found in the other systems
    4B773WHW1GK5WZAPK5CZHZSH7
    4BO650QIIZZ51VCNLZXSC4MP7
    4BO652NN9NEIPI7P2IIUUMB57
    4BPGWZK405TZ1061K1FSQCT0R
    4DVE6TT3PU9YJ6RQ4ETM2MDIJ
    and
    4DBJFSQOSAL3WPK8LSCNUWNAJ
If you find something, it is necessary to transport them to the BWD
system. This will solve some issues.
But probably you will not find them. Therefore the alternative way will
be to replaces the missing objects in the definition of the affected
queries by some other availabe objects. This is to be done manually.
For example mising CKF can be replaced by a constant value and then
in Query Designer replaced once again by any avaialbe CKF.
Such technique can help te achieve technical consistency of the queries
    ZORQSP_ZSPNNM021_NN_04, YTEMP_ZSCNNM04_01 and ZORQSP_ZSPNNM021_NN_05.
Situaiton with the YY_FT_TEST is more critical. There are no chances
to repair this one. The only option will be to delete it using the
    transaction RSZDELETE.
Please tell me how would you like to process. In principle, this case
is not really critical as the missing elements are just locally affect
queries and not used by reusable query components like CKFs/RKFs which
might be shared between many other queries also affecting them.

  • Transportation Problem development - production

    Hi Experts,
We have query with transport. We have deleted some CKF's in Development and we have captured in transport id and  the same  we have imported to Production. After that transport ended with warning  RC code 4 error . but if we check with the production few of CKF's are not deleted and few of them have deleted. And also we have checked with tranport error its shows " object also deleted in target system  Corresponding TADIR entry removed.  Please suggest us how to delete CKF's.

    Hello,
as moderators we expect to get a few of these questions in this forum.
    To clarify:
This forum is a dedicated forum for the SAP Transportation Management solution which is part of the Supply Chain Management suite of applications. SAP TM deals with logistics in the real world - moving pallets, containers, loading trucks or railcars, printing a bill-of-lading, payment of carrier invoices, exporting goods on ocean vessels.
To learn more about SAP TM please visit http://service.sap.com/scm-tm
This is not to be confused with software logistics as in transportation code or configuration entries from system to system.
I am therefore moving this thread to another forum.

  • Add R3TR element to the Transport Request

    Hello BW Experts,
I am transporting a query and get the below error message.
Element 40WVM5KB0OENRCAWG7PN2GHM3 is missing in version M
    Message no. R9132
    Diagnosis
Element &1 in version &2 is referenced but is not available.
    System response
The action had to be terminated.
    Procedure
Please supply the missing elements to the system by transport.
if i go to rsa1 > transport connection > query elements > query > select the query (options dataflow before / only necessary objects )
i do not see the element 40WVM5KB0OENRCAWG7PN2GHM3 in that list given.
I think there is a alternate way of adding particular elements to the request. Wondering if anyone remembers the transaction code / table for add a element to the request.

    hi Sudha,
normally this kind of error happened when you try to transport query with some dependant objects not included in the transport request, you can try to collect the objects with the query again and transport.
rsa1->transport connection->left panel 'object type', middle 'query element' and 'query', 'select object', locate your query and transfer. right panel, use collection mode 'manual' and grouping 'only necessary objects'.

  • Do we transport locally restricted Key figures ?

    hello,
Do we transport key figures/chars which we restrict locally? or we just transport the RKF?
Is it good idea to restrict locally if its not going to be used too much rather than vreating whole bunch of RKF?
and lastly how can we delete RKF if we dont need them?
    Thanks

Yes, I agree: variables are very important and useful to good query creation, esp since you can have all these different types of variables.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/579b3c494d8e15e10000000a114084/content.htm
Not sure about a 'must know' list, but few things that are useful are knowledge of judicious use of filters, variables and free chars; creation of global RKF, CKF and structures; decision choice between 2 queries or 1 query and 2 workbooks; trying to use seelctions, instead of restrictions (when selecting values for restricting chars) etc.
    Hope this helps...

  • CKF Calculation error - help appreciated!

    Hi,
I am using a CKF in report which uses the logic as below.
    CKF = (RKF1 - RKF2)*100/RKF2
The CKF is working fine in Development and Quality environment but it is showing wrong values in Test environment.
I have verified the data with the Infoprovider and R/3 data and it is matching perfect.
As I am displaying only the CKF in the report, I am not able to check the other RKFs' values as well.
Is there a way to debug the query in RSRT to stop at the CKF/RKF part?
If not are there any other suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

If query is working fine in Developmemnt and Quality, then I dont see any issue in the query if there were any issues transporting query.
I would try to match the numbers and see if any records are missing in the report. Sometimes it happens that in testing environment master data load or attribute change run is pending and we have filter/variable on the attributes. Due to this reason, trascational data is present in the cube, but they will not appear in the report.
Try to see the possibility and try to drilldown the report as granular as possible to see which records are not appearing in the report.
Other thing you can do is to transport the same query keeping RKF - Hide (Can be shown) to see the RFK value.
But first try to match the data in report and cube and see what are you missing in the report.

  • Query transport of my changes

    Hi All,
I want to Change the existing query and transport to another systems.
RIght now many people in my team are modifying the other queries parallel. So only one transport request is created in BW development system.
So any changes of all queries will sit in one transport request. I want to collect my query changes in transport requests and need to move.
    Please suggest how to proceed.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
"RIght now many people in my team are modifying the other queries parallel. So only one transport request is created in BW development system"
Mean in bw server for bex you need to create only one transport? As my guess not.
we can create N number of transport as we need. But need to be careful. if same query was modified by another member at a same time. you may get lock issues.
You can do changes what you need at bex query level.
    later go to RSA1-->transport connection,
move bw query and all query elements(ckf, rkf) to right panel from middle pane(select objects).
collect into transport by click on bex truck symbol.
    Thanks
