File Transport
There is not much to do if you're using file transport
IR you just export (from the menu) and import the same way in the target IR
ID you just have to specify transport targets
(so names of your business systems will change)

use transport connection to collect the objects to request, rsa1->transprot connection.
use infocube as starting point to collect objects, left side choose 'object type', middle frame choose 'infocube' expand 'select objects', locate/search your infocube' and 'transfer', it will go to right side.
in right up, there are buttons, click 'mode' and choose manual, and grouping 'only necessary objects', and execute, this will collect infocube and required objects like infoobjects, infoarea, etc.
after that change grouping 'in dataflow before' and execute, this will collect update rules, ods, infosource, transfer rules, datasource assigned etc.
remember to assign source system, click yellow box with X icon and mark the source system.
after that use grouping 'in dataflow afterwards' to collect query, web template, role etc.

Transporting ODS from Developement to Quality server

Hi,
In Quality server I am haveing ODS with out one navigational attribute included in it but it contains data.same is avaliable in development with navigation attribute object included in it.Now we want to transport this ODS from development to Quality.Kindly let us know if we need to delete the data from ODS in quality before moving this ods which is in the delevopment.Technical name for both ods is same.

You don't have to delete the data. The transport will work fine. But, the more data you have, the longer the transport will take.

Transporting Change document Object from development to quality

Hi All,
I have created a change document object from SCDO for my custom table. Now I want to transport this object from development server to quality server.
As while creating Objects some enteries are made into standard table CDHDR and CDPOS which is client dependant so how to work this object on another client.
Do I need to create seperate objects on quality server and then on production server?

Transporting object from development to production server

Hi Everyone,
Could you plz tell me how can i transport a object from development server to production serevr if that object is local in production server. And also could u tell me if the transfer structure is replaced if the names are different in both the server???

Case 1: Object is in Prod, but not in Dev. and you want to align the systems through transports.
You will have to send it to D (which could be done by changing transport routes & then following normal transport procedure) & then will have to bring it back with overwrite originals.
Case 2: Object is present both in Prod & Dev.
You can send the transports D->P with Overwrite originals (following the transport procedures).
And also could u tell me if the transfer structure is replaced if the names are different in both the server???
If technical names are different in both the servers, the transfer structure will not be overwritten.

If I trasport a object from Development to Quality

Dear One's,
I have query, If I trasport a R/3 source system object in BW from Development to Quality and then to Production. How this will reflects in Dev., Qty & Prod. of R/3 source systems?

Hi Rajasekhar,
when you are talking of the source system dependent objects it should be a datasource.
Data Source should be transported first in r3 and then in transports starts in BW.
When you are talking about BW transports which are not dependent on souce system there is no need to collect the source system while transporting.
When the object is transported to Quality or from quality to production the source system mapping should be accordingly changed to R3 quality and R3 production.
For this to haapen you should maintain an assignment in Rsa1.
go to rsa1> tools> conversion of logical system names.
go to new entries--> enter your r3 development server logical system name and in next column enter r3 quality system logical name.
Save the assignment.

Error while transporting the badi from dev to quality server

Dear Freinds
         Iam getting the error " Method Execution   21.11.2007 11:55:03    (8) Ended with errors "
        i expended the error (with return code as 8) and i found th below errors
Multiple active implementations for definition HRECM00_CALCBASE
Errors occurred during post-handling AFTER_IMP_SXCI for SXCI L
AFTER_IMP_SXCI belongs to package SECE   --- what does this mean??
The errors affect the following components:
    BC-DWB-CEX (Customer Enhancements)
What exactly this error iam not able to trace . Before releasing the object from the
development server i have see any error's are there the extended check hasnt given me any errors either.
The help for this error says that
"Procedure
Deactivate the implementations active for this BAdI definition one by one until not more collisions occur.
You should use transaction SE18 (Utilities -> Adjustment -> Multiple-use interfaces) to solve thes conflicts systematically."
i have did what sap has said ............. i can see that in the quality server a custom badi
of FI module has been in error. Will this be a reason for my badi ...which doesnt have any error..
any one have idea on this error pleae let me know.

Transport Connection Steps from Develop to Quality?

Hi Friends,
Could you please let me know the steps for transporting the developed Infoobjects from Development server to Quality Server?
1) I am working in Production support project environment.
2) I have created two Infoobjects (Captured in new request) and added those Infoobjects in the ODS and Cube and executed the report and i am able to see those fields in report in dev system with data.
Now please let me know the detail steps to collect the transport in proper sequence and to release it in proper sequence.

Generally transports are done in the following order:
1. Application Component
2. Info Area
3. Info-object Catalog
4. Info-objects that were created/activated by you.
5. Tranfer rules
6. Transfer structure
7. Communication Structure
8. Infosource
9. Cube, ODS, Multiprovider
10. Update rules
And imported in the same way.

Transporting Objects from Development to Quality

Hello Friends,
I am working on a project where I have created Cubes, InfoObjects, DTP, Transformations and Open Hub Destinations in a Development Client.
Now It's time to transport all these objects in to Q-Client.
Can any one let me know the steps to do so? This is really very urgent.

Hi
Before transporting your complete data model
Transport all the required info objects and its attributes First.(If you do not tranport the info objects first then when you transport the infosource the import will be failed saying that inactive info objcts found)
Then replicate the required datasources in the target system. (If you do not replicate before transporting the request into the target system then it will give an error log saying that Fields does not exist in the dataosurce XXXX)
So do the above two steps first and then proceed
Then you can collect all the objects , Cube , Infosource, ODS, Open hub etc and transport it.
You can transport from SE01 or SE09
Go to SE01
Select Modiafiable and display.
Release the task of the corresponding request first and then the Request
Go to STMS and then select your target system and import the transport request.

Transporting an object from testing client to development client

Hi,
             This is Sekhar . My question is
If i transported an object from development client to testing client .After transporting object to testing client i got a bug so that ABAP developer should work on that and how could i modify that bugs in testing client .Is it possible to modify in testing client? Is their any reverse transportation from testing client to development client?

While transporting Key Figures from Dev to Quality system, error occured.

Hello Experts,
While transporting Key Figures from Development to Quality system, I am getting this error : " /BIC/AZPA1R_CT40-/BIC/ZPA1RBA10 (specify reference table AND reference
field)".
Here, I have changed the data type of the key figure from Number type to Amount type. Then I activated them, captured in request and when transported I got the error saying "/BIC/AZPA1R_CT40-/BIC/ZPA1RBAL9 (specify reference table AND reference field)"
These Key Figures are used in ODS.
Is there I am missing something, please tell how can I make these transports successfull.

Yes you missed to transport reference object.
Previously key figure data type is number then you have changed to Amount. While changing data type to amount You should maintain reference char like 0currency, Doc_currency......in the Unit/currency tab. ( If you use fixed unit or currency no need to maintain any reference Object).
During transpotation you need to collect this reference char with main key figure and then transport.

LSMW:
There are 2 ways for transporting LSMW data from a system to another.
Export/import this method gives you the opportunity to select the subprojects or objects you want to transfer. LSMW -> Extras -> Export project
Transport request with this method, you can transport a LSMW project in full (you can not select the objects you want). With this method, the project will be transported as any other SAP object in a transport order. LSMW -> Extras -> Create change request
Program variants
If you have several program variants in a development system that you want to transport, use the following method to transport them:
Execute program 'RSTRANSP' (via se38) and inform the program and/or variant names (you can transport variant of several programs in one shot).
Layout
In some transactions, one can save layout of the screen (sort, filter, ... criteria).
These layouts can be transported: In the required transaction, when your layouts have been saved, go to Settings -> Layout -> Layout Management. Select the desired layouts and go to Layout -> Transport... There you can add your layouts in existing TO or create a new one.
Database data
In some unusual cases, you might have to transport data of a SAP table.
Go to transaction SE16, select your entries and go to Table entry -> Transport entries. It's only possible for some tables...
If you cannot do it that way,you have to create a Workbench transport order with transaction SE10. When created, click on it, go in menu Request/task -> Object list -> Display object list.
Go in modification mode and add a new line with:
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TABU
Object name = Name of your table
Double-click on the created line and, depending on your need, put '*' in the key field or double-click on it and select the key you need to transport.
Queries
Queries, datasets and user groups can be exported/imported between the systems using the Program RSAQR3TR.
Report template (ALV variants)
There is a button or somewhere in the menu Change/Select/Save/Manage Layout.
Go to Manage Layout, than Layout menu/ Transport.
SAPSCRIPT Files Transport
Use the program RSTXSCRP to upload and Download the SAPSCRIPT files to different systems
Transport SAPSCRIPT
Use the Program RSWBO052 to create the Transport Request for a SAPSCRIPT, In the Selection screen of the program, give R3TR FORM Give the Form name and press Execute button, it will ask the Development Class and the transport Request No.
Standard texts
Standard texts used in SAPScript(created with transaction SO10) can be included in transport orders. You have to create a Workbench transport order with transaction SE10. When created, click on it, go in menu Request/task -> Object list -> Display object list. Go in modification mode and add a new line with:
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TEXT
Object name = TEXT,,ST,
Example :

Requirement:
Transporting Table with Values from Development to Quality System.
I have a Z* - table, appended one field at the end.
I need to transport data along with the table structure from Development System to Quality System.
In Development System, I have assigned the Transport request in Client 100(We can't add data to the table in this client).
What needs to be done to migrate the new table structure with Values.

NOTE: the requirement is to transport table and table entries through a transport request.
There should not be any manual update for the table in the target System (Quality System).

Check the delivery class assigned to the table. Please see the documentation
Delivery class
    The delivery class controls the transport of table data when installing
    or upgrading, in a client copy and when transporting between customer
    systems. The delivery class is also used in the extended table
    maintenance.
    There are the following delivery classes:
    o   A: Application table (master and transaction data).
    o   C: Customer table, data is maintained by the customer only.
    o   L: Table for storing temporary data.
    o   G: Customer table, SAP may insert new data records, but may not
        overwrite or delete existing data records. The customer namespace
        must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report RDDKOR54 here).
    o   E: System table with its own namespaces for customer entries. The
customer namespace must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report
RDDKOR54 here.)
S: System table, data changes have the same status as program
changes.
W: System table (e.g. table of the development environment) whose
data is transported with its own transport objects (e.g. R3TR PROG,
R3TR TABL, etc.).

Class L: No data is imported.
Cross-client tables
o   Classes A, L and C: No data is imported.
o   Classes E, S, and W: Data is imported. Exisitng data records with
     the same key are overwritten.
o   Classe G: Data records that do not exist are inserted, but existing
     data records are not overwritten.

Data records of tables of delivery class L are not imported into the
target system. Data records of tables of delivery classes A, C, E, G, S
and W are imported into the target system (this is done for the target
client specified in the transport for client-specific tables).

The delivery class is also analyzed in the extended table maintenance
(SM30). The maintenance interface generated for a table makes the
following checks:
o   You cannot transport the entered data with the transport link of the
    generated maintenance interface for tables of delivery classes W and

o   When you enter data, there is a check if this data violates the
    namespace defined for the table in table TRESC. If the data violates
    the namespace, the input is rejected.

How Transport Screen 0111 of User Exit MM06E005 from Development to Quality

Hi Gurus,
Greetings!!!
I have implement a Screen Exit MM06E005 for my PO Requirement (ME21N, ME22N, ME23N).
I am able to see the added screen details in my Development Client
However, after transporting the request to Quality, I am unable to see the screen.
When I check in Quality I got the details as 'the screen does not exist in quality'.
In development Server I checked that the screen is in Package ME and not in my Transport request.
Please let me know how to transport this screen(0111) to the Quality Server.

1) Check the screen is activated or not
2) May be you activated the screen and placed in different transport request
3) Deactivate all and keep then in another transport request and transport.

Kiran Hierarchy data can be loade from source system, flat file or manually maintained in system.
since you have done manulally you can do the same in other systems also, but you need authrizations to maintain manually
I have manually created my balance sheet hierarchy using RSH1 transaction code.
you have do the same in quality also, since all required infoobjects are available in quality system, manulally create balance sheet hierarchy using RSH1 transaction code in Quality system.
check whether you have authorization to manually create in Quality system. you have to do the same procedure in production also i guess.
