how to transport configuration settings one client to another client or production client, which tools we can use for transport,

Firstly you configure your changes / settings. Save it.
On the menu bar itself, under the first heading option of TRANSPORT is itself provided. Check the menu bar and search for TRANSPORT function.
Use the TRANSPORT function. A pop up box asks for the details and specific name of the transport request.
Secondly, go to SE10, whereby check for all the tasks transported; i.e. check all the option boxes. The options are - Customising Requests, Workbench Requests, Transport Copies, Relocations.
Check all.
Go for the DISPLAY button of this first page of SE10.
It displays all of the requests sent.
Then the specific name you provided, that very request would be displayed, along with others, in blue. Single click, which selects it. A cursor like mark is there.
Go for the TRUCK button just up ahead, below the caption of the page in blue.
Hit it and and try refreshing it to ensure it has been transported. Successful execution shows a tick mark alongside your request.
Assign points.

Transports across clients on same SID

I have a request from the SAP project consultants to set up automatic transports from client 203 to 204 on my development system.
I was given a script that the basis consultant had written to do this on a windows platform (he does not have iSeries background) but the script seems to refer to a different SID and at this time I cannot get clarification from them on this.
The question is what ways can one do a automatic transports from 1 client to another on the same system on an iSeries?
The consultants are complaining about using SCC1.

I would say: Both ways: Importing or SCC1 are useful ways ...
The automatic transport - should it happen "immediately" or e.g. all 15 minutes ?
I would normally suggest to NOT use automatic transports but to always use "import all" in DEV.
Why ?
Because the 15 minutes (in average 7.5) are too long for me => I would impoirt manually anyway - but why then all 15 minutes ?
=> I would setup the STMS with transport groups e.g. as follows:
DEV => /QA/ => PRD
/QA/ consists of:
DEV.203
DEV.203
QAS.100 etc.
You could even split /QA/ into a "/DEV-QA/" and a real "/QA/" if you prefer that.
Then all release of transports puts it automatically into the buffers and then they cna import themselves or you could automate it via STMS e.g. all 15 minutes (you should check this with your IFS backup during night).

Transporting form BOX to another BOX to production BOX changes not effect

Good Day!
I would like some help from on my object from "Transporting form BOX1 to another BOX1 to production BOX changes not effect" ??
The issue is regarding transaction SE51 (screen painter). I was changing the Define Length from 45 to 55 upon activating their will be a pop-up information message will appear "Selection screen: Report generation makes screen changes ineffective". After the activation the Define Length in transaction se51 will now be 55.
However, upon transporting to another Box/system the Define Length will be 45 instead of 55. Can you help me how to solve this problem? What to do to avoid the changes in the Define Length so that it would still be 55 instead of 45?

Good Day!
I was changing the Screen (transaction SE51) of a field Define Length from 45 to 55. the changes is transported and reflected to another box but when transporting it again to the production box the Screen (transaction SE51) the Define length changes again to 45 instead to 55.

How to Transport Workflow Development to another client in the same system

Infotype not accesible after transporting to client 900

I have created a new infotype 9000 which is a copy of infotype 0000 in client 100. it works fine in client 100 but while transporting to 400 and 900 it gives a warning message with return code 4 and the same infotype is not accesible in client 900.
I have transported the infotype twice by creating new requests. As a last option I deleted the infotype and created it again. It works fine in client 100 but cannot be accessed in client 900 after transporting it.

Ya I have defined the infotype characteristics and they are same as Infotype 0000. There is no error in client 100. I can save data in Infotype 9000 in client 100. Its the problem in client 900. The BASIS person who transported the request told me that while transporting he got a warning message with return code 4. And once its transported in 900 it gives the message 'No infotype exists for character string 9000 ' when accessed from t-code PA30. Its working perfectly fine in client 100.

TMS configuration - Transports between clients

Hi Experts,
I have an ECC system on which I would like to configure 3 clients. Client 400 for DEV, client 500 for QA, and client 600 for PRD.
I would like to configure TMS so that I will be able to transport directly from 400 to 500 and from 500 to 600.
Could anyone tell me if this is possible and (if so) how it should be done? Could you take me through the process?

If you work with extended transport control, you can import requests into different clients in a system without using unconditional modes.
When you first import a request into a system, all the objects are imported completely. Any subsequent imports into other clients in the system only import client-specific components.
This makes it possible to set up consolidation routes and delivery routes between different clients in the same system.

Transport war-file to another server

Hi,
I'm facing a serious problem. I have created a JSP Application with different reports on one machine. One of the reports uses a calculation that was created in JDeveloper. After deploying everything I transport the war-File to another machine which has an oracle instance with the same name, the same users and same AW's. All JSP-pages work fine except the one with the calculation. It says 'No data'. What do I have to do to make it work? I don't want to create the whole JSP-application totally new on the new machine!
The object_id in the calculation-xml seems to be referenced in the report-xml file. There it begins with 'PSR!'. What does that mean? Is it saved in the RDBMS and could not be found on the new machine?

Hi again,
I did some tracing for the query. I don't understand much from the trace file, but there is one line which says: '*** ERROR: memory leak detected 316 ***'. I can't find anything concerning this memory leak. Does anyone have an idea what the reason is?
What I also would like to know is, how a calculation, which is created in JDeveloper, is saved. Only as XML or are there also Metadata concerning the calculation stored in the database?

Transporting XML forms to another system.

Hi , I need to transport my XML project only one time to another sytem. What do i do ?? I do not want to setup and use ICE stuffs.... any ideas out there. is there some post processing stuff?

You can do one thing.
You can create a KM Navigation iview and set the property 'path to document' as /ice
and assign this iview to page to workse to role. Assign this role to users/groups.
This way you can export the KM content.
For import/package upload.
Check that Cotent management ->package upload iview in pcd content and duplicate that iview and assign that also to the same role.
This way you can do the KM transport.

I lost my bookmarks after transporting hard drive to another computer, but I didn't save them in a specific folder, so how do I get them back?

Our computer crashed almost two weeks ago so my dad took it to Best Buy to get it fixed, and they said that we were very close to the hard drive going out and losing everything. Luckily, they said that they could easily transfer all of our data into another computer, but that they would have to keep it over night.
So they did, and when I got it back I immediately went to Microsoft Word (after we installed it again, of course) to see if all of my documents were there. (I am a writer, so it's very important to me.) Only half were there, so my father took it back and they said only half transferred, but they could transfer it all, no problem, it just has to stay over night again. (They also installed iTunes, etc. for us so we wouldn't have to. It was very nice of them.)
When they gave it to my father, they said my bookmarks should be on there. Well, when we came home and hooked the computer up, the only book marks there were some from years ago, but not mine. I DIDN'T ever save my book marks to a specific file; I would just click the Bookmarks tab, hit Bookmark This Page, and then click Done, and it would appear at the bottom.
Well, my book marks are not there and I cannot find them any where; no site has helped and they are VERY important. My dad refuses to talk to the tech guys again, so I would REALLY appreciate help.

Transport All Roles to Another System

I have one requirement. I want to create same roles in Development System that I have made in QA System.
So is there any technic, I dont have to make it again in Development system and copy from QA system?

Transport is not possible from QAS to DEV system.
So in this case you can use upload download roles.
Go to PFCG. Create one composite role and add all the roles that you want to transfer.
Then select that composite role in PFCG screen. Go to Role --> Download. It will ask to save the role file. Save it on your machine.
Now login into the DEV system, go to pfcg. Go to Role --> Upload and select the file which you have stored earlier.
It will create all the roles in DEV same as QAS. You have to create profile of all that role.
You can generate mass profile using SUPC. Go to SUPC and select all the roles which you have transfered and generate their profile.

Runtime Error in Test Client after Transport

Hello SDNers,
I did enhancements to standard SAP component ICCMP_BP_SEARCH in developement system in client XXX of system SSS.
I wanted to test the functionality in client YYY so used SCC1 transaction to transport from client XXX to client YYY.
But when i tried to test the application, it resulted in runtime error.
I had kinda identified the problem while debugging, in the class CL_CHTMLB_CONFIG_UTILITY method CREATE_UI_ELEMENT, it is not taking my Z class references rather it still referring to starndard classes.
My Z classes are created for IMPL class, CTXT class and CN00 class.
If any one has suggestions your help would be appreciated

Is the definition of the enhancement set defined properly for your test client. This table does not transport and you have to maintain it manually in each client. The view is BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG for SM30. Client is not the first field in the table, so you have to edit this view in each client.

Transport of modifications with ChaRM in client "000"?

Hi,
I do have a typical logical component DEV:100 -> QAS:100 -> PRD:100.
For standard customizing and workbech tansports all is working fine.
Now I have done a modification on a standard SAP object. Therfore the system wants to have a transport for client "000".
But with standard ChaRM I only user the typical logical component with the standard transport routes for client 100.
Does anyone have had a similar problem or a solution for that?
To change the system in the transport does not work, because SolMan does check the ChaRM related transports within a special table.
The only solution, which is in my mind, is the use of a second logical component for client "000" to do the modifications.

Agree with you Alex. For defining multiple routes in ChaRM, you need to define different logical components and assign them to the maintenance cycle.

hi frnds,
in the dev system we have two clients 900,500.
now i want that the reqeuests which are seen in 900 clilent (se10) should also be seen in 500.
how is it possible.

Are you looking for SCC1 (copying transports from one client to other with or without release) ?
And also it dependens on the purpose...
Do you want it just once ..or every time you want to view these transports.
Client copy if it is for one time
Or configure the Extended transport control for always the transports to move to that other client.

client copy is possible in the same system.but client import is not possible in the same system client to client.
once at a time client import is not possible first import client into another system after that system to import the default system.
